This is my second time doing the bar crawl ghost tour with Gabe. He started out both tours with a clever rap about ghosts. I thought it was very funny and entertaining! This tour was very communal, with the host encouraging us to share our own real life ghost stories. Tour consisted of a few haunted bars with drinks and conversations, with stops along the way for historic and entertaining story-telling. It's a fun way to spend a spooky fall night and meet others who share a love of the paranormal!

This tour was so much fun. Gabe is so funny, and a great story teller. There were around 10 people total on the tour, which was great for the stops at bars. You have to buy in to it, but it's so worth it if you do.
Please, please save your money! I have been on multiple ghost tours in other cities - some were creepy and scary and some informative and historical with tour guides that had different personalities and styles; they all provided something unique, entertaining and informative. This tour had none of the above. The tour guide offered nothing more than personal opinions, hokey, fake “paranormal investigation” demonstrations, and completely cringey dancing and awkward interaction. From our starting tour of around 25 people, 9 just walked away halfway through the tour because it was so horrible. Greenville is such a fun, vibrant town - do not spend your money on this. Go to dinner, shopping and tour historic sites on your own - anyone just visiting would get a horrible impression of the city from this tour. The only thing I got from this tour was reaching my step count for the day.
We were very excited about a ghost tour! Unfortunately it was not scary but comical. We did learn about the history and some hauntings of Greenville. We got to the end where our guide summoned the "spirits" which surprisingly they only knew and answered questions about him. I literally thought it was a joke but it was not. Our guide was very nice but did not seem to have the experience to be a "paranormal investigator " or have the knowledge of the ghosts of Greenville. I would say it was a nice way to see down town Greenville which is beautiful at night! But would have liked to spent the money on a nice dinner instead, sorry :o(
Lots of self promotion. Little talk of ghosts. Unclear stories. The best part of the tour was listening to the paid audience tell their personal stories.
Our guide, Walter, was incredibly knowledgeable and kept us thoroughly entertained throughout the entire tour. He clearly knows his subject matter inside and out and is a very considerate host. He did a fantastic job tailoring the experience to our specific interests; as locals from Spartanburg, we already knew some of the history, but he still managed to teach us so much we hadn't heard before. If you are looking for a fun and educational experience, I highly recommend booking a tour with Walter!
Very informative and entertaining Our tour was also a magician. Very engaging and fun! Would highly recommend this tour !
Don’t let this ghost hunter fool you, for a guy that says he only has three jokes he’s hilarious and informative. With top-of-the-line paranormal detection gear you will go to all of the hotspots of Greenville. Dr. Gabe Mathews, Jack of all trades, with a new album coming out. You might get lucky enough to hear some ghoulish lyrics. 10 out of 10 I would recommend to anyone in Greenville.
We took this tour years ago when they had a lot of reviews. Boy was that a mistake. This tour was absolutely fake, with a bunch of stories about trolls and UFOs. The guide appeared to be out of his mind somehow. It was an incredibly weird experience, and our group leader didn't seem to even want to be there. The other 1-star reviews say the same thing, look at them yourself.
Don't bother! Self promoting, wears a terrible headset so close to his mouth that you can't understand a word he says! The ONLY thing good about it was it was a beautiful night!
We had the best time. Gabe was our tour guide and he was amazing. My granddaughter got to participate in several sessions with Gabe. Loved this event.
Am I being punked? That is what I asked my husband literally less than 5 minutes into this tour. It started with a rap from our guide Gabe, yes I said a rap. It was about how he wants a paranormal show & preceded to include like every network & streaming service in this so called rap. Then we moved on to our first stop where he asked if we could find a specific name on a brick on the ground but never told us where it was, rather just moved on to the next stop. 15 minutes in and no ghost or paranormal stories. Then on to the next stop where he ranted that the establishment won't let him investigate even if he promises to put a sheet down when he sleeps as not to get his sweat on their couch. Then was the rant about him being a bit emo & loving The Cure, still no real paranormal story. Then there was his extremely bad jokes if you can even call them that (very awkward) where he asked seriously why we weren't laughing. We finally had a stop where he told a story of a troll, that was the paranormal part I guess. In talking with the others on the tour it was clear we all felt this was an uncomfortable wast of money & time. One couple tipped a street performer because he started playing his guitar over our guides babbling. At an hour in to this two hour what I can only describe as a very awkward fiasco my husband and I gave him back his EMF detector and bounced. A bit later we ran into another family that was on the tour who said they left shortly after we did because it only got worse after we left. Bottom line is this guide Gabe had no clue what he was doing, he rambled on & on about nothing & admitted to not knowing some facts that were part of his stories. He moved from stop to stop without explaining where we were going and never made sure the group was still with him. All in all a complete waste of time and money.
This was very disappointing. He self promoted his YouTube videos and terrible rap music the entire time. He told awful jokes that no one laughed at. His “ghost stories” were about trolls, what he believed was happening in a store, and the fact that the store owners didn’t want anything to do with him. He didn’t even know the dates of one of his stories. This was a complete ripoff and I would have paid to get out of finishing the tour. DO NOT DO IT!
We had a great time learning the history of Downtown Greenville and its grim beginnings! Dustin was great! friendly, funny and passionate about the paranormal and when we all showed up dressed like Wednesday Adams for the tour he didn’t run :)
Gabe was amazing he was VERY informative he threw in a little Greenville history that i never knew as a native myself we plan to do the private tour as well it was a fantastic date night idea and sparked our interest in the paranormal even more we LOVED IT
Guide was not that informative. Seemed like a fun hobby for him. I wished it was more factual with a regional historical vibe.
Isaac was very knowledgeable and fun. Enjoyed my Ghost Tour very much. Greenville has soo much ghosts. The cemetery was amazing and very dark! I have taken many ghost tours throughout the country and this ranks up there with the best of them.
The host was great! Made the experience fun and interesting for all! Would definitely go again and recommend everyone who goes to Greenville and is looking for something fun to do for the whole family! Wonderful experience!
This tour is a deep fake leaded by an talentless actor. Thanks to him we know now that spirits and zombies are grat dancers and communicate by using radio stations and a maglite
It was rather disappointing. The guide handed out EMF meters that we never used. There were a couple of stories but for the most part the guide talked about his You Tube and TikTok pages, the monster dance steps he could do and all the paranormal tv programs he liked to watch. My friends and I bailed after an hour.
Absolutely terrible. We do these "ghost tours" in most new cities we visit as an entertaining way of getting to know the city -- while being entertained. This was neither. Gabe was not informative or entertaining. His stories were about trolls and fish and bigfoot? Very very disappointing and when I requested my money back through both his company and the company that hosts his business. I was denied. Do Not Waste Your Time.
I’ve done ghost tours in many cities and this was the first one with EMF readers and a spirit box session - nice touch!
Dustin showed us a wonderful time, I will definitely recommend this adventure to others. It was a time to remember!
Dustin did a great job of mixing local history and ghost stories. He has a good knowledge of local history. Some of the story's he told did not involve downtown Greenville but they were very interesting none the less. The time spent in the graveyard was great! Wish more time could have been spent there.
Meeting location is a nice place. Plenty of space to sit. Path to the first stop is a little dark. You are given an EMF reader, but constantly lights up due to walking along busy streets with lights, etc. downtown is crazy busy and loud making it difficult to hear guide at times. The last stop at the cemetery is the best. REM pod used as well as a spirit box. Was hoping for more “ghost” stories. Unfortunately, most of the old historical buildings have been demolished due to city improvements. There is a bathroom break at the half way point.
The tour was friendly and polite but there was little content in the tour and not very engaging or entertaining. It did not compare at all to other paranormal-ghost walks we have been to before.
Gabe was really into the topic and provided great stories and enthusiasm. He went above and beyond for this experience. He also provided some ghost hunting tools and items to enhance the experience.
We took this tour for my daughter’s birthday, she loves to hear about ghost. We all had a great time . Thank you!
