Greenville City Segway Tour

Amazing time. Training was done well. Guide was professional and friendly. The tour went great and we had a wonderful time.

While the Segway was not quite as easy as I expected, my guide Walter was very kind and gave me a little extra time for training. When I still couldn’t get the hang of it, he offered to hold the handle bar for support so I wouldn’t fall. There was a scheduling error and I ended starting at 6:30pm, but it was a happy accident as I ended up getting to see the parks all lit up at night. It was so beautiful!

This was an awesome way to see downtown and west end Greenville (what we chose to see - the guide gave us lots of options as to where we wanted to go). Walter, the guide, was extremely knowledgeable both about Greenville and its history and Segway safety, and was extremely attentive to our goals of the tour and our well-being. I am saving the information for this tour because we will absolutely do this Segway tour when we return to Greenville in a few months. The next time we'll tour the gardens!

Our guide,Walter, did a fantastic job. Learned valuable information about history of Greenville and places to eat. It was clear,Walter knew what he was doing in the Segway training and made us feel comfortable before we left.

That if you are not able to handle the equipment and the instructor agrees that you shouldn’t ride the Segway - that the owner won’t refund your money !! Her excuse was that they need 24 hours to cancel - so if you book the appointment online at 5 PM the evening before and your apt is at 11 the next morning - you cannot get a refund even after the instructor determines that you simply cannot handle the Segway ! What a rip off !! Would never recommend them to anyone !!! Her fake concern for the clients safety is a joke .

Great overview of the city! Great guide, Walter was solid! The Segway was easy to navigate and would highly recommend!

Our guide Walter was great, he showed us around town and pointed out historical places, haunted places, and good spits to eat, hangout. My wife was unable to pass the safety check she opted not to go, however the owner refused to refund her ticket.

Walter tailored the tour to our interests and was very knowledgeable relaying information on art history, restaurants and the cities development as he took us to see the highlights of Greenville. He made sure we felt satisfied with the experience covering what was most important to us. The tour was a great way to understand the lay out of the city geographically early in our visit which helped us more easily navigate the city on our own. We highly recommend this tour.

Great tour with Walter who asked about your interests so he could tailor the tour to your taste. Awesome ghost stories and historical facts shared.

We walked in with trepidation but Walter was just excellent. He made us feel super comfortable and customized the tour to our wants and needs. He also just had the best, dry sense of humor and we had a blast with him. Definitely a highlight of our day. 10/10 would highly recommend!!

Great experience. We thought Walter our guide was a little dry to start off but once we got him we really got him. He was amazing and knowledgeable. His dry humor continued throughout the tour. It couldn't have gone any better. Thank you Walter for the fantastic ride through Greenville.

This is the 3rd time my husband and I have done this tour, but this time we took our family. (2 adult sons and 1 daughter in law) We had a fantastic time, again! Walter was our guide and he was was very good with instructions. None of our group, except my husband and I, had ever ridden a Segway before. Our DIL was very skeptical at first, but he did a great job of making her feel comfortable. He also asked us questions about what we wanted to see, so he could adapt the ride for us to see what was most important to us. He was knowledgeable of the area, which helped us learn along the way. I would highly recommend this tour and Walter. So much fun!

Walter was great. He was friendly and knowledgeable. He tailored the tour to our interests. We decided to view some of the many parks in Greenville. By far, the most poignant park is Cancer Survivors Park. My wife is a cancer survivor and she was moved by how well the park was laid out. Parking can be cumbersome, but the trip was thoroughly enjoyable.

Great way to tour Greenville. Our guide, Walter, was exceptional with the history of the city and catering the tour to our greatest likes. We saw so much of downtown and the segways were easy to navigate! The training received beforehand was great!

Walter was fantastic! His knowledge and understanding of Greenville made the tour both interesting and exciting. He allowed us to tailor the tour to our interests. Being very much into history, Walter showed us historic areas and specific symbols of Greenville’s history. I highly recommend taking this tour, whether you are a native Greenville or from out of town. I think you’ll find plenty of new places places that you likely see every day and simply walk past without giving a second thought. Greenville is rich in history and taking the Segway tour was like going back in time. Two thumbs up and five stars!

It was an amazing tour. Walter was our tour guide, and he was awesome! He asked about what things/ areas about Greenville were we interested in, and he tailored our tour around our interests. We are not from Greenville and are thinking of relocating here, so the information from the tour was great! Just what we needed.

This was excellent. We had a fun time riding the segways and seeing the sites. Walter was fantastic. We especially appreciated his attention to safety to make sure we all knew how to do the tour safely. Wonderful time. Highly recommend.

We had a 10AM Friday morning segway, and enjoyed every minute. Walter knew so much information about the town and really took the time to make sure everyone knew how to ride safely. Our favorite part was the river area, it was something I would go back to the city just to see again. Unbelievable!!!

Walter was such a highly skilled, professional, and very helpful segway instructor. I was quite anxious and uncertain about segways but around 20 minutes in, I was completely comfortable, confident, and felt like I mastered it in relatively short amount of time. I loved the route taken and I felt like I saw parts of Greenville that even the locals haven't seen!

Fun tour, Walter was great, saw and learned a lot about the city. Highly recommend. For those of you worrying about learning how the Segway works, it’s a piece of cake.

Our guide was Walter. He was outstanding. Very thorough on the training. Very knowledgeable about the history of Greenville as well as told us great ghost stories. Thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Would definitely do it again. Thank you Walter for making sure we had a great outing. Walter also knows great places to eat. We took his recommendation and went to the pomegranate. It did not disappoint. We’ll go back again.

My wife, Carolyn, and I went with a mother and daughter. This was their first time, but Walter did a great job with their training. Walter is very experienced having done many Segway tours and we would recommend him highly.

Walter asked us out of 4 items what we wanted to see the most of. Our group of sisters and their husbands decided on history and ghost stories. Water did not disappoint! We went through the cemetery’s and went to Falls park. Very fun

Walter was a fantastic guide. Made sure we were all trained properly and checked on us throughout the tour. The topics we wanted to hear about most were history and restaurants….covered a lot in a small amount of time!! Would do it again in a heartbeat!

I have done this Segway tour multiple times . Today I took my 12 yr old granddaughter. Walter was as always an incredible tour guide. My GF was very nervous since it was her first one. Walter was very patient with her. After a few minutes of riding she was a natural. Walter's knowledge of Greenville is the best. I learn something new every time I do his your. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed riding around the city on Segways and learning about Greenville. We were given 4 categories to chose from and we went with Art and food. We learned so much about the Art around town and the best places to eat.

What a perfect way to view Greenville! Walter was the best. Super knowledgeable and great teacher. Segway was far easier and more fun that I expected!

We selected the 2 hour Segway tour and did so by reservation. Our group was the only one scheduled and that was nice. Walter was our guide. We had ridden before and it didn't take much practice before we felt comfortable and were ready to go. He prepared us well for the terrain. He also provided safety reminders throughout the tour which I appreciated. Walter asked about our interests and seemed to customize the tour. He talked about history, art, and ghosts. He also recommended restaurants and other businesses. I enjoyed the stories but especially enjoyed riding the Segway. I always felt safe on the ride but it also felt adventurous, exploring a wide area of Greenville and zipping around people along the way. We also visited locations where there were fewer people and that was fun too. I can't think a a better city for a Segway tour. Thank you so much Walter for making this such a memorable experience!

Great adventure! Our guide Walter was very very good!! He is very knowledgeable explained everything so well he did an amazing recommendations for good places to go eat and have fun!!!! He’s very polite and helpful he teaches us how to use the Segway with patience and understanding that for some people it’s very difficult the first time!!

Walter was a font of knowledge. And Greenville a gem to see in a Segway. I appreciated that the tour was held with fewer than the minimum guests so that I could keep my touring schedule.

John did an amazing job of leading us on Segways through main street and Falls park giving us the history of Greenville. Definitely worth every penny, we had a great time!

We had an excellent tour guide in Walter! He was knowledgeable and made sure we saw the city. It was very windy but it didn't deter us. Saw the parks, art galleries, restaurants etc. Great city and we are looking to spend some more time again exploring all it has to offer.

Walter was absolutely amazing. We had a great time. I feel like we got a tour catered to our interest and got to see a side of Greenville that many don't get to see in 90 minutes. Walter made sure we were comfortable and safe riding the segways. I only wish they had better equipment so he could just focus on keeping us safe and happy.

Soo Fun! Walter was great, patient and knowledgeable. My son and I had a great time! Downtown Greenville is beautiful and spread out. This was a GREAT way to explore the city and parks along the riverfront.

Got to see much more than we would have by foot. Seemed difficult at the start but only took a few minutes to get the hang of it.

Walter was very considerate. Concerned that there is just one tour guide. For his sake, I hope he can get a backup for when he isn’t well. Curating your tour with the guide is a new experience. If you want an individualized tailored tour, this would be good for you. He made a lot of effort for us. Walter is a great person. He helped one person through out the tour that was afraid to do the journey!

Walter, our guide, was amazing wealth of knowledge about Greenville. He made great recommendations for restaurants and things to do. Segways are such a great vehicle to see such a large area of downtown in a short period of time.

Walter was wonderful! He was very patient, kind, and protective while we were learning. Because I was nervous, he held onto my Segway the whole time while allowing my husband to roam on his own within a very short distance. It was a very memorable experience.

Mom and I had a FABULOUS time on our Segway Tour of downtown Greenville this afternoon! Walter is the BEST tour guide EVER!! Seriously, he was our guide in 2018, and we liked him so much we *still* talk about him! We were thrilled to get to have him as our guide again today!!! He focused on things we wanted to see and hear about on our tour. We saw tons of fantastic art and got to hear some local ghost stories! I loved the street performers (especially the guy playing the saxophone!) and getting to see people ice skating was a joy. Walter took us to the Cancer Survivor's Park in honor of mom winning her battle with breast cancer back in 2009! He was extremely attentive to how we were feeling and made a special stop at Gather Greenville so we could warm ourselves by a fire for a bit when we got too cold. I had never been there and loved it!!! I made a comment about how much I love plants, so he took us over to Plant Stella so I could run inside and check it out! Ha! He took photos of mom and me and he was also very conscientious about pointing out obstacles or places where folks tend to have issues. There were lots of people out and about today, and Walter expertly navigated us through the crowds. I felt extremely comfortable and wouldn't want to go on a tour led by anyone else. We love you, Walter!!!! Mom and I had an absolute ball! Thank you so much!!!

Walter was an excellent tour guide! He was a patient trainer so that we were comfortable with our equipment, and he was very safety conscious. The tour around Greenville, with preferences to art and history, was informative and interesting. We toured many parks and couldn't have had a better experience to see so much of such a lovely city!
