Wonderful and informative tour. Guide was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of information in a short time period. Unfortunately the guide inserted her political views multiple times; who wants that on a tour?

It was very enjoyable but not for 8 and 12 year old. Our driver knew her history and was a good driver. A little too folksy and chatty for me 🤷♀️
We had the best time with Brandon. He was so engaging and had the best stories about the city! Perfect amount of walking and talking
We booked a Grayline bus tour of old Charleston (there are several other lines that operate the same basic route). Meeting the bus was easy, we were very comfortable, and our driver/tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly.
Our tour guide John was absolutely phenomenal. He was a perfect combination of funny, educational, and historian. This tour was great because we got to see everything from the battery to the historic area, both sides of the river but you don’t get with a walking tour. There wasn’t a question we asked that he didn’t know the answer to. Every street was packed with historical facts, stories about architecture, history, and the city and the war. My ticket included a ticket to the museum, which was quite phenomenal. Don’t hesitate book now.
We tried to go to the museum the day before our bus tour. We did not realize that our museum ticket was given to us at the tour bus.
Went well n affordable xxxxxxxx
The bus driver/tour guide was very informative and entertaining! Very patient with traffic (foot and vehicle) and passengers. Enjoyed the tour! Parking adjacent in structure since lot at visitor center was full. Would recommend to do for a good feel of the City. Lots of history and awesome architectural houses to see.
It was a great tour I wish I remembered our guide's name I can't but he was super knowledgeable he said he was obsessed with history and he knew everything literally I used to live here and they were things I didn't know that I learned today
You gain so much information and see many parts of Charleston in 90 minutes. John was a great guide and we also went to Charleston Museum which was very interesting
My husband and I both love history and thought we would get a little bit more of that on this tour. In addition, there was a food and wine festival going on the same weekend and the normal meeting place was the visitor center, and when we tried to follow the directions on where to go on meeting Street, they basically told us that that parking lot was closed. You would think you would receive some sort of notification about an alternative location that the bus would be picking us up from, but never received any message from the tour operator or from TripAdvisor. The tour operator said that I may not have gotten the message because it was booked from a third-party which I thought was a ridiculous excuse. When we called the tour operator, we were rescheduled on another tour at noon for the same meeting point where we supposedly were supposed to take our earlier tour, I wasn’t feeling very confident so I called again and another person told us that the meeting location had changed to the Charleston museum. Very frustrating because it messed up the only day we had because we were originally booked at 10:30 but had to go later. The operator accommodated us doing the Charleston museum tour first before our rescheduled bus tour at 12 which was nice.
Beverly, our driver/tour guide was a hoot. Good info and very entertaining. We enjoyed seeing other parts of Charleston and the different architecture of homes.
Six family members boarded the bus at 12:30 pm on Nov 9th to a very friendly and personable driver. She began giving us interesting facts early before we even left the Visitors Center. She played a game to find out where all the passengers were from. The minibus was comfortable and the driver was funny and informative. We saw so many wonderful things and received our complimentary combo tickets to the Charleston History Museum. We thoroughly enjoyed the 90 minute tour. Highly recommend the Grayline tour.
Guide extremely knowledgeable and did a great job giving historical information. Very good tour. Highly recommend.
Excellent historical tour! Our tour guide was knowledgeable and detailed! He interjected a bit of humor at times and really knew his stuff
The tour guide was very knowledgeable of the history of Charleston. We enjoyed this tour a lot. It was very enjoyable.
Good tour. Very comprehensive for a two hour tour. Were able to get a good introduction to Charleston.
The driver was very knowledgeable and nice . The tour was really nice. I recommend it, especially you get the museum experience as well.
John was knowledgeable and personable with a great sense of humor. A class act tour guide and driver.
Our driver John was very knowledgeable, friendly and funny. We learned a great deal of Charleston history.
Binge was an excellent guide! We learned a lot about Charleston and the area. The bus was comfortable and prompt. Glad we took the tour!
Driver was clever and knowledgeable However windows were so small we could hardly see what he was talking about.
The driver, John, was great. John had a number of stories to tell about what we were seeing. I highly recommend John as a tour guide for Charleston, SC.
Certified driver with extensive knowledge about architecture and history. John gave personal anecdotes and recommendations based on our interests. And he had a great sense of humor!!!
We went to the visitor center and asked to take a bus tour. This was the next one they had available. It was a good tour. You were able to cover a lot of ground and get a good feel for the city and what you need to explore more of. Highly suggest make this one of your first things to do. It will make your stay more enjoyable. Tip: you may get a better deal going through the visitor center to purchase your tickets.
We learned a lot about Charleston. Our driver/guide was good but talked the entire time which did not allow for questions.
very informative and recommended. The guide was well informed and interesting Charleston museum which was included in ticket is boffo and not to be missed Reduced 1 star due to difficulty in adjusting AC to accommodate front and rear
The driver provides the narration so each ride is different. Nice AC on bus, on time & you get free tixs to the Charleston museum
The driver was on time. The tour was amazing. Learned a lot about the local architecture and history got to see places that we wanted to visit in our own vehicle. Once a tour was over. Would definitely advise everyone to do this.
Nice tour around Charleston. Used it to get the lay of the land for walking around more. Lowkey, but humorously wry and funny driver. Enjoyed the tour and we do it again.
Enjoyable tour. Guide was very knowledgeable. The bus was comfortable and we could hear clearly what our guide was saying.
John was extremely knowledgeable of the history of Charleston and the historic sites we saw. We were entertained and informed while comfortable in our motor coach. We also enjoyed visiting the Charleston Museum afterwards. Great experience! Thank you!
Pleasant driver Cover the core of the downtown area Lots to see Good information A lot of interesting churches Easy to find the tour once at the departure area
The driver was fun and gave us great information and stories. Good driver on such narrow streets. We highly recommend! The only suggestion would be to have a better description of the meeting location.
Bad communication and no refund. I contacted the company for where the bus was due to my first time after parking and they didn’t offer for the bus to wait 3 min. As we were approaching the bus they pulled off.
Driver was fantastic!!!! Very knowledgeable and entertaining . Great things to see! So glad we went.
Very informative and entertaining. A nice ride with a nicer tour guide. A good way to see the city if you cannot, or do not want to, walk a lot
It was a great tour filled with lots of insight and fun facts. We were in Charleston for a girl’s weekend and the tour helped us orient ourselves to the city.
Very informative trip, our guide Kevin has a wealth of knowledge. Kept our interest the entire trip using wit and humor
Very comfortable bus, excellent driver who was very knowledgeable and personable. The lights in the parks are gorgeous
We just loved this tour and learned so much about Charleston! Our driver John was simply amazing! He knew the answer to every question we asked and he was very amusing. It was great way to get our bearings around the city on our first day!
Tour guide was very informative. He really knew the city history and I really enjoyed the tour. Totally recommend this adventure.
Enjoyed Valarie. The tour and the Museum visit was very nice! Learned new things about charleston and bus was very comfortable
Great tour, knowledgeable tour guide, beautiful city. Great tour for adults. A lot of history as well as current information. Would not recommend for kids.
We enjoyed the information about the sights we were seeing. Our guide gave us some good historical facts that we never learned in our history classes.
Packed full of history! Comfortable ride! Funny! Can’t get to know the city of Charleston any better way! Worth the 💲💲added the Charleston museum and wasn’t disappointed!
Tour and the homes, tour guide was very nice and informative..this survey is to long we should be able to say few thing and submit it. Only other thing I would say The tour guide should walk an announce where we are loading.
The tour provided an excellent overview and history of the historical neighborhoods covered leaving us wanting to return to explore more in depth. The museum was larger and more interesting than we had anticipated. The Visitor's Center was great-particularly the very clean bathrooms.
The tour guide focused on being amusingly entertaining. As a result, she told a number of funny stories, but I wanted to know more about history and architecture.
We thought the tour guide was very knowledgeable and the sights we saw were interesting. We even went back to a few on our own to see them up close. We had the tickets for the museum as well which we thoroughly enjoyed.
