We enjoyed seeing several historical sites on one trip. Tom was knowledgeable and encouraged questions and comments. Very interesting experience if you enjoy history!

Itinerary
We will walk a short, interesting road to the end of this island to get a beautiful vista of Charleston Harbor and the 6th oldest lighthouse in the US. The walks is 1/4 mile, and does include some beach and sand.
Once the amusement park Mecca of the 50's, Folly Pier is the focal point of this beach surf town, with many tourist activities. A souvenir and rest room stop also.
We will take a drive around this photogenic, famed military campus and stop for a few Snap! Shots.
The history of the colonial United States lies at this tour stop. Thousands and thousands of imported African slaves stopped here in quarantine houses during the forced trek to North America. The first naval battle of the Revolution, the first shots of the Civil and the most tranquil beach spot in Charleston -- is all here. If time permits, we will visit the National Park visitor center.
We will stop and see the ugliest lighthouse in the US.

Good experience, nice place, nice weather
A great alternative visit to the downtown Charleston tours with the opportunity to visit historic sites on the outskirts of the city. Friendly and informative tour guide.
Lee Ann was a great tour guide. We enjoyed her commentary for all of the sites visited. It add meaningfull context and history to the tour
The tour guide was fun, interesting stories and I would recommend to friends. We had 6 friends traveling together and it turned out to be a private tour.
LeeAnn was excellent! She was thoughtful and friendly. There were only 6 in our group which made it like we were one family. She brought us a delicious treat & water. We didn't feel rushed at each stop & she even took and shared family pictures! She's full of little surprises that made it special. I wish we would've been able to get out at the Citadel for pictures of the military machines around the green. We'd definitely take another tour with her!
Great tour. Highly recommended. Was able to see a lot in a short period of time. Great narrative. Would definitely recommend.
Leanne was our tour guide and she was simply terrific! We did the Get Out of Town tour for a different view of the Charleston area. Leanne knew so many facts about the areas we visited and easily answered our questions. She had water available for our group and even brought us a local snack. She took several picture of our group and didn’t even have to ask. Highly recommend this tour for a different view of the Charleston area.
Our host Leanne was very gracious and arranged to pick us up at the cruise ship port. There were 6 of us and we were very comfortable in the spacious Mercedes bus. Leanne took us to several great locations as well as a small tour of the downtown area. All in all it was a great experience and would highly recommend her tour.
Leeann was a great tour guide. She was fun and knew a ton of history. One of the best tours to take.
This was a wonderful tour! Leann was an amazing tour guide and we got to see things the normal city tours don't show you. If you're in Charleston, make sure you book this tour, you won't regret!
We enjoyed the trip. Having been on other bus tours in other cities ....with the same or longer distances from interest point to interest point, I expected the driver/tour guide would be more informative about the area in general. Basically I expected he'd talk more between stops. Driver/guide was personable and friendly chatting with all of us on tour at stops. On the expensive end of trip costs but the departure time was perfect for our schedule.
The description was deceptive. We thought it was a boat tour and it was a bus tour. Tom, our driver was great and very accommodating.
Just the right outing for a beautiful day! Leann was fun, flexible and entertaining! The van was comfortable!
LeeAnn is fun and knowledgeable. Visited beautiful parts of Charleston we would not have discovered on our own. Very flexible and nice transportation.
Great experience! Guide took us around and let us go at own pace while still keeping us on time. She made experience personable and gave us a very local feel of area, history and culture. Really amazing!!
Our tour was great. Our guide, Leanne, was very knowledgeable and fun. She provided a lot of interesting history about the area, including a video about the Shag! We would definitely recommend this tour.
LeeAnn was above and beyond a typical tour guide. She drove us around for 4 hours filling us with lots of history and taking photos of us along the way. She was a true delight. And added in a few extra attractions that were not on the itinerary.
The our guide was very knowledgeable. She had a beautiful high tech, comfortable van and we had a great time! We would highly recommend!
We very much enjoyed seeing the out of the way spots and popular places that are blended into this adventure. The ride was informative, comfortable and overall enjoyable. I think this could be an all day adventure instead of half a day since there is just so much to take in but it was absolutely worth it and we would definitely do it again.
The tour was informative, fun and would highly recommend. Lee Ann was great. Everything was captured in pictures and sent to us. Great guide.
The lighthouse was my favorite. The beaches were beautiful and Leeann’s knew so much about the area and history. It was so nice that she had water and snacks. I would definitely recommend doing this tour.
As a history buff, I found the tour fun, full of facts and full of surprises. The rain did not stop our tour and our tour guide Tom was GREAT!! Wonderful experience and would recommend this tour as a way to experience Charleston in a special way.
We had the best tour guide Lou Anne. She went out her way to speak to my teens. They was so happy and kept stating that they was having so much fun.
We had so much fun with Leanne getting to see lighthouses, Folly Beach and Fort Moultrie. We enjoyed the relaxed pace, even grabbing a folly dog at the pier to enjoy a quick snack. We enjoyed all the history and knowledge Leanne had about Charleston and the surrounding islands from the stars that have homes on Sullivan Island to the Civil war battles on Folly beach and her tips for taking the best pictures. We would definitely do this tour again with Leanne! She is the absolute best!!
We stayed at Hyatt on King Street. There are a lot restaurants, bars and shopping in the area. The area is safe and lively at night but still quiet for good sleep. We went to Ft Sumnter, Ft Moultrie, Naval Yard, submarine museum, Magnolia Plantation, Brett-Aiken house and a slave mart museum. The tours were all educational and fun. We went to Sullivan's Beach to walk the shore, not a swimming beach. We ate good food and recommend Prohibition for casual dining and Hank's Seafood for upscale dining. Poogan's Porch was also great. These two last restaurants are further south in French quarter area.
Leanne explaining the history of places that we went It made the trip more interesting Everything was great. Randy and Karen
Leanne our tour guide with Snap tours was amazing. This tour felt personalized. Leanne is very knowledgeable and knows the best places for both history and photo opportunities. We highly recommend her and this tour. We would like to take a different tour with her as our guide the next time we are in Charleston. Just a friendly word of advice. Early tours seem to be less crowded and not as hot so maybe consider that when booking.
I booked this for my clients and they really loved it. The owner was very responsive when I called with questions and she was very personable and friendly.
We had a great time on this tour, very accommodating and loved seeing things outside of the immediate Charleston area. Thank you Leanne for a great time!
We spent our first day in Charleston with Leanne (our tour guide) and everything she took us to see was beautiful, interesting and educational. Leanne went above and beyond for our tour and was very knowledgeable about Charleston history. She took us to places that we wouldn’t have known how to find on our own and the experience was amazing! I would definitely recommend this tour. It was an awesome way to begin our vacation in this beautiful historical city.
Leanne was very accommodating. Very knowledgeable and made our tour so much fun. We did a bunch but Leanne kept us in schedule
This tour was perfect. It took us away from the busy downtown area and showcased some really cool sites on the perimeter of Charleston. Beaches, lighthouses and old military forts were fun to see and explore. Our host was super friendly, knowledgeable and made the experience wonderful for us. Highly recommended!
My wife and I took the Get ‘Out of Town tour’ offered by Snap! Picture Perfect Tours on the 4th of July, on our last day in Charleston. It was an amazing day! Over the course of 6 1/2 hours, our tour took us to several places that would normally take a tourist a few days to reach on their own, such as the Angel Oak and Folly Beach. Although the stops at each location were approximately 10 to 15 minutes long, it was more than enough time to get a great feel for each location. You’ll come away with some great photos of your Charleston experience. Our tour guide was Leanne. I can’t say enough good things about her. She was great!! She’s very knowledgeable about the history of Charleston. She was willing to adjust the day’s itinerary to go with the flow. If you wanted to stay in one area for a few extra minutes, she would allow you to adjust the amount of time spent in other areas. She was very easy to work with. We saw every site that was planned. I would take any other tour that she offers through Snap! Picture Perfect Tours. If you’re interested in this tour, I highly recommend it!! If there’s one tip I could leave you with - try to take this trip early upon your arrival in Charleston. The tour introduced us to areas that we would have liked to spend more time at, like Folly Beach.
Leigh Ann was a gracious and accommodating host. We were so glad to do this tour at beginning of trip - we have never visited area. The van was so comfortable and her knowledge of area was interesting and informative. I will call her again for further tours! Jane
A great day and SNAP individualized the tour for us. She made it accessible for me with a broken ankle.
It was so fun to get out of downtown Charlestown and get my feet into the sand! Leanne is a great lady w/lots of knowledge and fun to hang out with. The van is very comfortable and easy to get in/out of. I got to see another side of the area which I wouldn't of have as I didn't have a car. If you are a beach/lighthouse person, take this tour! I also learned more about the Citadel I was not aware of. We just didn't see Folly Beach & Sullivan's Island we learned a lot about the area which was very interesting.
This was a wonderful, relaxing tour! I was shocked after looking at the map of Charleston how much area we covered. Both lighthouses were interesting and could have spent more time at the Citadel as it was incredible to see. Leanne was a wonderful guide and so full of knowledge. After walking downtown Charleston this was a welcomed change of pace. Definitely a highlight of our trip!
Really enjoyed folly Beach and the Citadel, Tour was done in the most comfortable van I ever been on. Lee Ann was very knowledgeable of the area.
Great tour of beach, historical sights and islands. Leanne provides personalized service and interesting background and local color. I’ve already recommended this tour!
Downtown Charleston is famous for its history and charm. To see more of Charleston, a ride in Leanne's bus is a must. It is well worth the time to take a ride in Leanne's ultra-comfortable bus and to learn from Leanne about the lesser known areas around Charleston that have helped make Charleston the special place that it is.
Had a great tour today with Leanne. She was very informative and was able to show us things you wouldn't normal get on a tour. Would highly recommend Leanne if your looking for a good tour.
Thank you, Leanne, for a wonderful tour! I especially appreciate the extra time at Fort Moultrie for my mom.
This tour was a highlight of our time in Charleston! Leanne was informative, receptive to our needs and desires, and had a great sense of humor. We experienced exactly what was described, seeing both historical lighthouses and forts and walking on the beach to see the ocean waves. Since I am from Colorado, I enjoyed so much of this tour. I definitely recommend Leanne and this tour.
My guide Leanne was very accommodating, knowledgeable, and fun. I told people what we saw, and they could not believe I saw so much. Highly recommended.
