Had a great ride with Ben. We did the shore ride and Ben shared a lot of great information Didn't want the tour to end Nice new ebikes that were fun and quick Highly recommend if you want to get out and see the beautiful surrounding area

Itinerary
This is an old bridge turned into a lovely park. From here you can easily see Fort Sumpter, Rebellion Roads, Oyster Beds, and Coastal Fauna.
The old village business district is a hidden Gem! It's been featured in Hollywood movies and shows including Netflix's Outer Banks & the Notebook. This quaint part of town is nestled centrally in old village amongst beautiful southern estate homes.
Riders will see shrimp boats, shem creek, occasional dolphin & manatees.
This is one of the prettiest stretches on the route. Riders will cruise to Sullivan's Island on a separates bike path with spectacular marsh and water views.
Sullivan's island is a small beach community with wonderful shops and it's Charleston's closest beach. The Bike Path there will be a highlight of the route as riders will be surrounded by marsh on their left and the harbor on their right.
This historic military base fortified Charleston from 1776-1947
We will pass by the "Charleston Light"

This is a fun e-bike tour. It follows a level and easy route so it is not strenuous. The guide focused on the local real estate (cost of houses, etc) and less on the local history. The guide was very friendly but hard to keep up with at times. Sometimes, he started talking before we caught up with him. Overall, I would recommend this tour.
Cliff was very knowledgeable and brought us to so many places. It was a fabulous experience and would highly recommend.
We loved the insight and extra stories from Cliff who had grown up in the area.
Great e bike tour around Sullivans island. Ben was a wonderful tour guide and we recommend this as a great activity.
My Sister and I really enjoyed our tour with Lucy today! She was amazing! This is a must do when you visit Charleston.
The tour guide was a bit crass with his comments about the exorbitant home values of the village, and while we had a choice between a waterfront/beach scenic tour vs the village tour, we frankly did not appreciate having to ride in traffic. Also, we found his comments about “having to work for tips” very inappropriate.
We had a really neat tour of Mt. Pleasant (an area I knew nothing about before the tour). It was great to hear the history, learn about the local housing market, and get a genuine feel for life in the neighborhood. However, while the bikes were good for the most part, one person in our party had a mechanical issue with his bike. He nearly went over the handlebars due to a loose bolt, which was quite scary for everyone. A great experience overall, but definitely a reminder to double-check the equipment.
Village neighborhood of Mount Pleasant Views of the waterways Great guide Easy ride,, low stress Extremely informative
We booked the Charleston Shores tour on Sat, but they took the same route as the Outer Banks tour that we took the day before. Would prefer a tour with less talking and more biking
We covered a lot of ground and our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about history in the area. Great experience.
We are 60 ys old, a bit out of shape, and still had a great time. My wife had some issues with starting each ride but she loved it.
A morning E bike ride with Cliff was very enjoyable. Since we were the only guests on the ride Cliff gave us a choice of a beach or village ride. We chose the village ride. Happy we did. Cliff’s knowledge of the history of Mt Pleasant made the tour worthwhile. Cliff is a great storyteller and clearly loves showing others the village of Mt Pleasant. The E Bikes were in excellent condition and made this bike tour doable for anyone. Highly recommend this tour.
Good overview of the area and a fun bike ride. I would definitely make this a part of your trip to Charleston. P
Cliff was a very knowledgeable guide! We covered a large area, but still stopped many times to learn about the history of the area. He had vast knowledge and even included Outerbanks filming facts, which we appreciated. E-bikes are the way to get around!
Our guide, Ben, showed us the best spots and trails around Mount Pleasant. He even took photos along the way and shared them with us afterward, which was a great touch. The e-bikes were easy to handle, and the trails and scenery were absolutely outstanding.
Really great tour of the Mt Pleasant area and sights. Guide was informative and super nice. Loved it! Totally worth doing!
Lucy was our tour guide. Very informative and was very pleasant. You ride in neighborhood with stops and points of interest along the way. Great introduction to an E-bike if you have never ridden one before. Recommend buying extra time to just ride on you own and see the area
Overall, we had a nice time, but for the price, we felt a few things could have been improved: 1. Tour Guide Pace: The tour guide's pace was too fast for our group. We were frequently trying to keep up, which made the experience less enjoyable. While a brisk pace can be fun, it’s not ideal when you're trying to take in the views and enjoy the tour. 2. Tour Content: The tour didn’t feel comprehensive. We visited a few places and heard some information, but those at the back of the line missed out on some info while biking. Providing background information before each stop would be beneficial. 3. Biking vs. Stops: We would have appreciated more biking time for a bike tour and less time at the pharmacy.
Friendly, great ride. Good equipment. Sweet guide, her main concern was our safety and enjoyment. Worth the time and money
We had done this bike tour a couple years back with a smaller group and it was great. This year there were 15 people on the tour, including a bachelorette party. There was only one guide and she was spread way too thin. When we left the bike shop location to begin our tour one of the women had her bike breakdown. We had to wait while they brought out a new bike for her. The bike my wife had appeared to older and the right handlebar grip was damaged. The locations we went to were good, with the ride on the beach being the best part.
What an amazing day and adventure with Rebellion Roads! Not only was the weather perfect, but our guide was also entertaining, funny, knowledgeable, safe, and adventurous! We had such a great ride after a brief tutorial and demonstration on the bikes, we helmeted up and all left the home base for our 2.5 hr amazing tour of Mount Pleasant. Ben kept the group safe, entertained, informed, and excited to keep riding and exploring. It was a great e-bike tour with Ben and our group. We all felt like family after such an incredible ride and tour. I highly highly recommend Rebellion Road E-Bike tours and adventures and Ben and his team!
Such a fun way to spend the day. Great tour guide, stopped at beautiful sites, riding on the beach was amazing. E-bikes are a great way to see the area and it was really easy to use.
Great experience! Tour guide was knowledgeable and made the trip fun. Definitely worth the money! The bikes are a bit heavy for a small person so be ready!
The e-bikes allowed us to see different places in Charleston. From beaches to neighborhoods the ride was fantastic!
Great tour! We had a beautiful day and enjoyed Teddy as our guide, he was knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining
What an adventure! I've never ridden an e-bike before, but learning to handle it was quite easy. Our tour guide, Nick, was very sweet and checked on us quite a bit since my son (12) was the only child on the tour. Beautiful sights, great stories about Charleston and many great ideas on where to go in the future. It was such a wonderul experience, we're wondering why we didn't do this last year while in town.
My daughter & I loved riding the e-bikes around Mt Pleasant with Lucy as our guide. It was only the 3 of us, so pretty much a private tour! Lucy showed & told us about several of the places were they film Outer Banks (which I did not think was part of our tour)... Cute town in Mt Pleasant, beautiful houses, pretty marina area, & fun riding the bikes on the beach. It was a bit unnerving going over the bridge to Sullivan's Island because it was really windy the day we went and the sidewalk was pretty narrow. (I was glad there were no walkers/other bikes coming toward us on crossing!) It was also cool because a tall boat happened to be going by so traffic & we were stopped on the beginning of the bridge, and we saw the bridge TURN so that the boat could pass through. We rented our bikes for the rest of the day after our tour which was great because we went back over to the island, had lunch at The Obstinate Daughter, rode out to Fort Moultrie, and spent time on the beach & in the water. Definitely a highlight of our trip to Charleston!
Ben was a great tour! Guide! Saw some beautiful old house, tree lined streets, and where the Netflix show Outer Banks was shot.
Trip was amazing - highlight of our visit. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 was due to the guide. She was knowledge and fun, but did not do a good job keeping the group together. There were slower individuals and riding single file it split the group. The slower part of the group missed her updates when she did stop because she didn’t wait for the entire group to catch up. Also - the group split crossing roads - which was challenging if you were the portion of the group left to cross on your own and reconnect with the faster portion of the tour. Riding on the beach was amazing- scenery was phenomenal and we got to see areas we otherwise would not have stopped at. The bikes were easy to use, had backpacks and the company provided water. Helmets were optional.
The ride was awesome, and got so much local intel and tips from our guide!! Highly recommend to anyone wanting to really see Mt. Pleasant history and Sullivan’s Island up close.
What FUN!!! Don’t hesitate to do this tour, the bikes are fun and so easy to use. Ben was our guide and did such a great job giving us local history, keeping us safe and sharing during the tour for those interested, locations of shooting for Outer Banks and the Notebook.
My husband and I did an e-bike tour, guided by Ty, of Mt. Pleasant and Sullivan’s island. It was the most fun activity we did on our trip to Charleston. Ty was a great guide, and we saw the beautiful old homes and quaint old part of the town of Mt. Pleasant (a 20 minute drive from our hotel in the historic district of Charleston). We saw egrets and pelicans in the marshes, dolphins in the water, and rode on the hard flat part of the beautiful beaches. We loved riding on the quiet roads of Sullivan’s Island and seeing the stately beautiful houses, as well as the kite surfers on the ocean. The bikes were easy to ride and the warm breeze on the bikes was delightful. This is a terrific way to see nature and architecture, while enjoying some outdoor activity (pedaling with as much or as little physical resistance as you want.) really a blast.
Highlight of our trip - great guided tour through low country, Mr Pleasant, historic village and beach area - beautiful views and real estate! E bikes are a blast! Helmets and water provided.
My husband and I really enjoyed this bike tour. The knowledge Teddy had was wonderful and we really enjoyed the whole bike ride, especially riding on the beach. Such a fun experience
The ride on the beach was fantastic! Our guide, Quinn, was excellent! The entire experience was a highlight of our Charleston trip. I would highly recommend this excursion!!
My friend and I were the only two in the tour which was nice. The tour guide moved along very quickly, not much time at each stop. It was nice going through the different neighborhoods and then riding along the beach. I would not be brave enough to ride around without a guide, this was a very nice tour!
Excellent electric bike tour. Felt extremely safe. Saw many sites and ride on the beach was a highlight. Can’t wait to go again.
Tour was amazing. Our guide was top notch. We toured old town, shem creek , and then Sullivan Island. We saw dolphins, gators, turtles and pelicans. Riding on the beach on Sullivans island was a highlight. The whole ride was so fun. I was a little nervous about the ebike but our guide was very helpful and made it easy to figure out. I would definitely recommend this tour.
Loved this experience. Rheuben was great at teaching us how to use the bike, knowledge of the area and maintaining a pace we all were comfortable with. Great experience and will definitely do this again.
Great fun exploring Sullivan Island and Shem Creek. Our guide made sure we had fun and stayed safe. After all the walking in Charleston this was a wonderful way to spend a day!
Great instruction, easy to get the hang of riding an e-bike. Riding on the beach was a blast. Would definitely do it again.
Reuben was awesome. we had such a fun morning. The bikes were great too!! Don't hesitate to take this adventure
My son and I had a great time on the E-bike tour! Rubin was awesome, he provided information about the locations and history and was also very patient with both of us as it was our first time riding E-bikes. I would definitely recommend giving it a try and would do it again in the future!
Loved winding through the neighborhoods to see the architecture and charm. The ride on the beach was fun!
What a fantastic tour! Ruben took my husband and I on a 2+ hour tour of Mt. Pleasant, Pitt Street downtown area, Shem Creek, and the highlight of the trip - biking along the beach on Sullivan's Island. This is a fantastic tour and easy (even though we covered 17+ miles!) because of the e-bike. I'd highly recommend this tour.
The E-bike tour was amazing. My daughter and sister loved this experience. We were down celebrating my mom's and daughter's birthdays. What an experience. I felt like a movie star riding on the beach. This is one experience I would definitely do again. Weather perfect slight over cast with a breeze.
I cannot say enough good things about our guides, Austin and Ben! I must admit I was a little out of my comfort zone doing this, but my husband really wanted to try out an e-bike and thought what better way than a guided tour. However, Ben calmed all my nerves when we first met him and he and Austin was so patient with everyone in our group. They were both a wealth of information of the area and took us to places we would have never seen by car. Since the tide was out, we were even able to ride on the beach. It was certainly an experience we will not forgot and is probably the start of our e-bike excursions. All I can say is just book this tour!!! You will not regret it! Rebellion Roads is phenomenal!!!
Thoroughly enjoyed the outing. The guide, Austin, was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend this tour
Our guid “Josh” was the best guid ever he show us a lot of nice streets, buildings, places… he is very smart!
