I booked a haunted pub crawl for our HQ retreat. There were 30 of us so they had to split us into 2 groups. We would have preferred to go as one group but we got to meet up with our other group at a few of the pubs along the way. The weather was great so the walk was lovely. Our guide was pretty corny. He was trying to be funny but we weren't drunk enough for that. I did enjoy the history and the stories. Despite the guide, we all had a great time. The one negative is that I would have assumed that we would have done a full loop to end where we started but we didn't. He left us at a different part of town so we had to figure out how to get back to our cars.

Fun & easy tour to follow. No hard walking all FLAT 👍 Super casual and enjoyable by myself 😀 make sure to grab a drink right away at each stop. Bar lines can get long!
The Haunted Pub Crawl was fun, informative and interactive. Our group got to know each other well and really enjoyed our time together. Justin was an outstanding guide.
Lots of fun. Our tour guide, Justin I believe, was wonderful! He was very personable and knowledgeable about Charleston. Lots of fun stories!! Highly recommend!!
I’ve done ghost tours in Seattle and New Orleans, so I had high hopes for this one. I’m glad we went, but overall it was just okay. The tour leaned much more toward Charleston history than ghost stories. The history was interesting and we definitely learned a lot, but I would have liked more spooky storytelling. The Edgar Allan Poe story was the highlight for me and exactly the kind of thing I was hoping for more of. Our guide was very knowledgeable, but his delivery was a little subdued and could have used more enthusiasm. The “pub crawl” portion was the biggest miss. We only visited two pubs, and there didn’t seem to be any arrangement with the bars to help the group order quickly. Both times, it took so long to get a drink that by the time we had it, we were basically being told to meet back outside. Overall, interesting history, but I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for a really spooky ghost tour or a true pub crawl experience.
It was amazing. Great stories and great pubs led to a fun filled night. Tour guide did a great job balancing the drinks and the spooking
Great haunted history tour punctuated with a cocktail or two. We enjoyed it greatly. Walked a bit, brand a bit, learned a bit about the history of Charleston
Alexis was an amazing tour guide ! She was so fun to be with and we really enjoyed the tour & stories ! We will definitely be back !
My first haunted pub crawl. We had a good time and had plenty of stops and time to have a drink while there. We walked through the old town area and had stops along the way besides the pubs that explained what happened in certain sights and who was still haunting there. Very entertaining. I just feel sorry for our wonderful guide who ended up more like a cat herder rather than a guide as the night wore on and more pubs were visited and drinks consumed. He was a good sport.
We attended the pub crawl on Halloween and were disappointed with the experience. The guide informed us at the start that we wouldn’t be visiting any of the bars advertised because they were too busy on Halloween. Instead, we went to one bar, one restaurant/bar, and a booze pop van. If we had known in advance that the advertised stops wouldn’t be included, we would have made other plans.
Tom was our guide. He was easy to hear and understand. He told ghostly tales along the way and inside each of the 3 pubs visited.
Lots of laughs and overall fun time!! Great locations on the stops. From dungeon to rooftop and great stories.
This was an awesome night. Our guide was so knowledgeable and very friendly. We highly recommend taking this tour.
Tom was an awesome tour guide. He shared his personal experiences as well as the experiences of others he’s spoken too. He was very knowledgeable about the history and was very open to questions! Would definitely come again and recommend to all! Ask for Tour Guide Tom!!!
Definitely would not recommend. I’ve done other ghost tours where I’ve gotten goosebumps. This one was underwhelming at best. A couple of the pubs were cool, but it was pretty boring otherwise.
This tour was not what was advertised. It’s called a “haunted pub crawl,” but we walked past several pubs where the guide said, “this place is amazing, but we’re not going to stop.” We only stopped at one bar midway through and one at the very end. If you’re mainly interested in ghost stories, this might be the right tour for you. However, I was disappointed overall. Our guide didn’t seem very confident in the stories, often filling pauses with “um” and “and…,” which made the tour feel less engaging than it could have been
Very cool to hear the ghost stories and go to the different pubs. Guide was knowledgeable on the history of Charleston. Fun walking tour to see the city.
Zack was our guide and did an absolutely AMAZING job. He was very personable and has a true talent for story telling. He kept everyone engaged and entertained. The way he wove the stories made them easy to understand and remember so you can go back and learn more about this city’s spooky past. The personal touches he added to the experience, like photos and personal stories, made it an unforgettable night and a highlight of our trip. I’d book this tour again in a heartbeat. It was THAT good! Thank you Zack from the bottom of our hearts!
Loved it! Zach was an excellent tour guide and really knew his stuff. I’ve been on several of these and this was the best yet!
Beth was a wonderful guide. She had great stories and we had a blast! Definitely recommend. Entertaining historical insights!
We started at the Griffon, had a beer. Walked and listened. It was just ok. Went to RuRus, had a beer. Walked more and heard about the dungeon. Ended at Blind Tiger and waited outside for 15 min before we could get in. Had a final beer. Tour was just so-so. I’d look for a better next time.
Tour guide Jamie was so knowledgeable about the ghost and history. Would definitely recommend this tour and have Jamie as your tour guide!!
David was very knowledgeable and created a fun atmosphere. He took us to very cool and unique places.
Great experience, Alex was super friendly and fun! Brought us to great spots, went above and beyond for a tour guide.
Jamie was great! He was very fun and exciting to listen to. He was able to show us hidden gems that we wouldn’t have found ourselves. Loved learning about the history of Charleston.
We had a great time! Justin was knowledgeable and an awesome guide! We would definitely do this again!
My fault. Did not check that this tour is non refundable. Life happened at the last minute and could not go. Lost the cash I paid for it ($30.00).
It was fun but would have liked more ghost stories. Guide was entertaining. Liked the bars that were chosen. Fun walking around at night.
Our guide Jamie was the absolute best! It was the perfect balance between a ghost tour and pub crawl. The best part of our bachelorette trip!
Our tour guide Justin was great! Very interesting history. Went with girlfriends and we all enjoyed.
Learning new things about Charleston & discovering a new speakeasy in photos. The building in picture has never been able to successfully be rented due to spirits. Very interesting
It was very friendly and Very informative event. I would suggest this for anyone that likes to have a few drinks and learn alittle history
super fun , the tour guide was very knowledgeable and it was obvious he had a passion for story telling and history.
Oswald the tour guide was excellent … He knew his history and was knowledgeable and entertaining!!! Reed at RuRus was spectacular
Our guide was very entertaining and knowledgeable. I recommend going early on in your stay because your guide will recommend other places to go
Jamie was wonderful. He was entertaining and very knowledgeable about the history of Charleston. The ghost stories were great too.
William was a great tour guide with a good sense of humor and cool historical stories! I would definitely recommend!
I went on this tour with my friends and one of them off the bat was not a fan of ghosts but we talked her into it and it was her favorite part of our trip! Jamie was our tour guide and killed it! The walking wasn't terrible at all as everything was in close proximity. Jamie also had a lot of knowledge with Charleston which we appreciated!
This was not a pub crawl. The guide was hard to follow. It rained, so we left after a half hour. This should not be marketed as a pub crawl.
Justin was an excellent ghost tour guide! We had so much fun on the pub crawl and loved seeing all the ghostly places! Definitely recommend!!!
My husband and I visit Charleston at least twice a year. We always make a point of doing a ghost tour. We like to hear the local stories as they are told uniquely each time. Jonsie was an amazing tour guide. She was very personable and enthusiastic the entire time. She really knows the stories and legends of Charleston perfectly. She even told us a few new stories that we haven’t heard before. I definitely recommend this tour to anyone in the area. :)
Justin was incredibly entertaining and informative. He was also very accommodating and understanding of our unusual attendees (being eight months pregnant on a pub crawl). Great tour!
Jonsie was very nice and had good tales...a bit softspoken for a tour guide, but we had fun a lot of fun for sure!
It was interesting walking through charleston, seeing the old buildings and the history surrounding the city
The tour was overbooked, so we were the overflow group with a 2nd tour guide. He could not control a group and was incredibly soft spoken and unprepared.
Guide was high energy however needs more experience and training. Also, she should temper her language. Curse words seem very unprofessional.
It’s was fun. We heard some stories and our guide was good. We stopped at four places for drinks. We were there with friends to celebrate anniversary.
Fantastic time with Meredith! I was hoping we would swing by the Old Dungeon but we didn’t. Otherwise great times had by all!
It was interesting, but it wasn't really what was advertised? We didn't go to over half the places listed, so we were a little disappointed that we didn't get the "full experience" we expected. Still, what we did get to do was fun!
Might as well just walk between bars yourself.... definitely not scary or haunted or anything just a pub crawl
