My husband and I attended a nighttime tour of the Old Charleston Jail on a whim. We originally planned to tour the Yorktown for their ghost tour through Bulldog but switched our plans just hours ahead of the tour. Bulldog Tours was wonderful about having us switch tours when we called without issue. We found the jail tour informative and spooky. Our guide was Andrew and he did so well making it entertaining as well as informative. We definitely plan to go through Bulldog again for other tours.

Fun, informative, and a little spooky! Sarah was a great tour guide. I thought there would be more rooms or walking through the jail, but it was still a lot of fun.

Definitely a must do tour while in Charleston! Very creepy and Sara was the best tour guide. It was very apparent that she was well versed in the history of the jail and she was genuine in her delivery of historical facts, as well as, her own personal experiences. I’ve been on some other tours where the guides were just going through the motions and it seemed cheesy and unbelievable. I would definitely go on another tour with Sara and Bulldog tours.

This was a unique and cool experience with a little history added in. Sarah does an excellent job setting the scene and really making you “feel” the experience.

Only the first floor is open for tours, which consists of just four very small rooms. It was so dark you couldn’t really see much. Everything was just replicas and they filled the hour by talking about previous tours, and showing pictures on a tablet. It was definitely not worth the money.

It was a great “spooky” experience. We enjoyed the stories Jack Kelly shared about the prisoners and the prison itself. Definitely a one of a kind experience.

Super tour and surreal touring a truly terrible place in the past with so much rooted history. Ranks up there with many of the European brutal prisons. And really gives you a chilling feeling just being present there.

We had a friend visiting from out of town & they wanted to go on a ghost tour. We've gone on ghost tours before that just felt like history lessons so we were not anticipating this to be any different. Sara, however, delivered an impressive mixture of interesting facts, intrigue and haunting chills.

We had such a fantastic time on the Bulldog Haunted Jail Ghost Tour! Our guide, Dustin, was excellent—knowledgeable, engaging, and a great storyteller. We learned so much about the history of the jail and Charleston while still getting all the spooky atmosphere we were hoping for. We happened to do the tour during a thunderstorm, and it honestly couldn’t have been more perfect. The thunder, lightning, and rain added a whole other level of creepy to the experience—in the best possible way! It made walking through the old jail feel even more atmospheric and memorable. Dustin really made the tour for us. You could tell he knew the history well, and he did a great job balancing the historical stories with the haunted side of the jail. We had a wonderful time from start to finish and would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Charleston. We’ll definitely be booking another Bulldog tour the next time we’re in town!

Our guide was an amaizing human & very knowledgeable & informative. The tour itself was super rushed & didn't get to explore to many areas. The company itself was very accommodating. The price wouldn't be an issue if it went a little longer to be able to go into a few more areas. We did learn a lot about the area though with the stories the guide told. So overall it was worth it.

Dave was a great guide and we were definitely spooked! Just my teenage son and I, this wouldn’t be for little kids- gruesome ghost stories and dark, creepy rooms. We had a great time!

A very historical tour - a little short for the money. Was scary though and very interesting! Ken was a very knowledgeable and great guide. My 12 year old nephew loved it and was very interested in the cool stories

Ken was a wonderful guide! He told detailed stories of the history of the jail, and he answered all the questions that were asked without faltering. He really knew his stuff and told it well. We were a party of five and three others joined our tour for a very intimate experience. It was dark, the place was very creepy, and we believe we had an encounter that made great conversation for the ride home. If you're interested in dark history with a touch of the paranormal, we highly recommend this tour.

Sarah was great but nothing was original, the whole place was renovated and took away from any mystery.
