Poogans Porch is Charleston's most haunted restaurant. It opened up in 1976 as a restaurant and that's when the ghost stories started coming.
This beautiful cobblestone road is one of the oldest in the city. It was laid out in 1680 and it has a lot of dark history behind it. We talk about the various wars fought in Charleston, the enslavement of people, hurricanes, fires and floods...all of which have seem to have left some ghosts in the area.
We pass by this beautiful and historic building on our tour.
Built in the 1750's I tell a famous ghost story outside of the old courthouse which is located on the corner of Broad Street and Meeting Street
We stop by the oldest graveyard in the city to look at a ghost photo and talk about being buried alive in graves.
We do our final 2 ghost stories by the graveyard and cemetery of the historic St Philip's Church.
I went on this tour with three local friends. We all enjoyed our tour immensely. Adam was friendly and knowledgeable. We all enjoyed the detailed ghost stories and some of us even came back to check out the places in the daytime. I highly recommend this tour for both locals and visitors.

Walking on flat surfaces for about 90 minutes. Not too scary, lots of fun history and interesting sites.

Adam is a historian and even in his ghost tour it shows. We were looking for a tour that would be informative and entertaining without being gimmicky and we found it.
We had a great time our our dark history tour. We obviously learned about some of the famous ghosts and dark history of Charleston, but also learned some just general history tidbits about the city as well. The tour wasn't overly scary, so it would be fine for kids and adults. The photos of the jail and Boo Hag story at the end were definitely creepy though. Maybe plan to stay up for a bit after the tour and not (try to) go right to sleep after the tour.

This was my second time booking this tour with Adam, and it was just as enjoyable as the first! The content of the ghost tour is great, but he's a historian, too, so you can ask bonus questions about Charleston.

Adam was insanely knowledgeable about the history of Charleston AND had some creepy stories to tell! Definitely recommend if you want to learn more about the dark history of CHS. We want to do more tours with Adam!
Adam was great for answering questions and had a deep knowledge of Charleston and the ghosts that haunt it. His stories ranged from fun to terrifying. We had our pre teen children with us and they had a great time and weren't overly frightened from any of the stories but did get the creeps, which is what we were aiming for.
It wasn't a very long (in duration or distance) tour, but I feel like it hit all of the high points and left us with a desire to seek out more information on certain things during our stay. Didn't stray into the questionable tall tales some tours do - stuck to the well documented, confirmed stories.

Adam was very knowledgeable and a great storyteller without being overly dramatic. He had photos of a few of the places that he talked about and one of them was terrifying because we had experienced something similar in the same place last summer. Spooky and spectacular! Adam was a great tour guide, showing us some of the spookiest areas of downtown Charleston and telling great stories (with photos!). We love taking ghost tours whenever friends or family visit Charleston, usually making an evening of it with dinner and a tour. We’ve been on quite a few over the years, and our tour with Adam Moore was by far the best! Adam was incredibly knowledgeable and did a wonderful job blending Charleston history with the ghost stories. Even as locals, we learned several things we had never heard before. The entire tour was interesting, engaging, and thoroughly enjoyable. We would absolutely recommend Adam’s tour to locals and visitors alike. Five stars!

We had a group ranging from age 82 to age 12 and Adam’s stories of Charleston history and pace of the tour were enjoyed by all. The combination of ghost stories and Charleston history made this a learning and spooky experience! If you’re looking to go into graveyards and cemeteries, this is likely not the experience for you- but if you’re hoping to experience a more realistic and informative ghost tour that speaks to all, please choose this!
Really enjoyed the experience with Adam as our guide. He was really knowledgeable about the history of Charleston and we particularly liked the fact that we got a good dose of history intertwined throughout the tour. Wish we could have walked thru some of the cemeteries instead of just looking thru or over the bars of the gates, but I understand why that is not possible.
Adam was not only extremely knowledgeable about Charleston ghost stories but also the history of the city as well. We had so much fun, I highly recommend!

The tour was an easy walk, nothing strenuous. We enjoyed hearing some of the history of the city, as well as a few ghost stories. There were no jump scares, which was good for my family.
We had a great time! The guide knew so much interesting history and the ghost stories were so good. The walk was easy and he kept an easy pace. I would definitely do another tour with him.
