The experience was A+! Our guide & driver, Heather, has an excellent, deep knowledge of Beaufort’s history. Her enthusiasm for Beaufort was heartfelt and made history come alive. Her reverence for those interned in the National Cemetery was especially moving and interesting.

Most informative!! Tour guide was well versed in the historical account of events and historical figures throughout the Beaufort. Also, she gave fun facts about actors and movie scenes that took place in Beaufort. Highly recommend this tour!!

This being our 4th trip to Beaufort I decided to book a tour to learn more about the area. Our guide did a wonderful job and we learned a lot about the area that we never knew. I would definitely suggest this tour to anyone considering learning more about the Beaufort area.

The tour was very informative and provided a great history lesson of the area. The tour guides were great and very knowledgeable and friendly. I just wish we could have gotten out of the bus to take better pictures. The overgrown foliage made it very difficult to view the homes.

If you want quiet and how are you relaxation? Perfect not really a whole lot to do around the area besides Beaufort

Tanya, our guide for the tour, really made history come alive!! Her knowledge about the history of Beaufort was riveting for me and my family. She told us facts we have never heard of in a way that held us captive for the entire hour and a half. I believe the guide makes the experience and Tanya is a real gem!!

Nice air conditioned ride. So much history to learn about. Loved the angel oak trees, spanish moss, and our narrator was very knowledgeable. Seen the bridge Tom Hanks was running on when he filmed Forrest Gump.

Heather was a great tour guide. During our 2-hour air conditioned mini bus ride, she shared a very detailed history of Beaufort in a visual and entertaining way. She was very knowledgeable about the history and a great story teller. I recommend the tour!

A Great Overall tour of the History of Beaufort

Tania was a fun and informative guide with a great personality and Heather, the driver was also very nice. It was great to learn about Beaufort and that there is so much history there. The only downside, and it was a major one, was that we booked this tour to have air conditioned comfort, but the AC was awful which made it uncomfortably hot. The air seemed to be blowing hard on Tania and the two people in the aisle seats of the front row, but the rest of us could not feel the air.

Our guide Tonia was fantastic! She entertained us while she educated us on the history of Beaufort. I would recommend this tour for first time visitors and for residents.

Heather our guide was incredible. Besides her wealth of knowledge was her ability share it with us. I learned and saw so much of beautiful Beaufort. Most importantly I learned more about Beaufort’s significance in the civil war and reconstruction than I had in a lifetime. If your thinking about this tour….do it…2 hours in ac minibus.

The air conditioned bus was well worth it considering the temperature was 93 degrees! Heather had a vast wealth of information!

Our historic tour of Beaufort was one of the highlights of our visit. Our guide, Heather, was phenomenal ! She was so well informed and animated. We definitely learned a lot.

We would book this excursion again since everyone in our group really enjoyed it. Rosemary was very knowledgeable and was able to share many interesting facts about the historical area. You really sensed she enjoyed what she does, and that made it enjoyable for us. What would have made it excellent are two things - not being a local we attempted to go to the address on this site, however parking was confusing since here it shares we needed to pay for it but that day apparently it was free, and the bus pickup was confusing due to construction in the area. Lastly, since the bus was advertised as air conditioned, we expected it to be cooler however with it being nearly 100 outside, I’m guessing the bus struggled some. You felt some air when standing but when sitting the air was stale and warm. Still, we would book this again since we loved the area and feel like we just touched what the town has to offer.

Most informative tour of the historic district. Full of facts and stories. Very well presented. I did find their mini bus does have somewhat restrictive viewing the way it is built.

Wonderful van ride with air conditioning. Very comfortable Total time was 2 hours. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about Beaufort history and architecture. We learned a lot. Would recommend.

This tour was absolutely amazing! We had done this tour 4 years ago and it has even gotten better. The stories and the history that they go through is so personal and fun to listen to. You end up seeing the entire historic district of Beaufort along with some other sites. It is one of the most fascinating southern towns I have ever seen. This is definitely the way to see the town. I would then recommend walking around after you have had the tour.

Wow! We had an incredible tour guide named Tanya. I hate to admit it, but being from many states away, I did not know much at all about the history of Beaufort. Tanya was an absolute wealth of knowledge about the history of the city, even that that it was taken over by the Union during the Civil War. Harriet Tubman lived here during that time as well. Our family spanned in age from their early 20s to their early 80s, and all of us agreed that we learned so much. Thank you, Tanya, for providing so much information in such a short amount of time.

Its very informative and the National Military Cemetary is very moving. The new guide did an excellent job!

Wow I hit the jackpot on this tour. I arrived for my tour appointment to find out no one booked that day in the morning, my surprise was I was the only one to get a special solo tour. I had a great conversation with the gals from Beaufort City Bus Co before & after the tour. The bus ride was comfortable and the conversations were so cool. Didn’t realize how much history this beautiful town has had over the years. Recommend highly!

Good tour of the area, tour operator was very informative. Tour bus however was very warm, and made the tour uncomfortable. A/C did not cool the entire bus.

Aboard a comfortable minibus with plenty of glass for full views (even the roof!), we thoroughly enjoyed our tour of beautiful, historic Beaufort, SC. Our guide, Heather, was funny and engaging as well as very knowledgeable regarding Beaufort and American history, bringing it to life. Tidbits of trivia about the many movies filmed there added to the entertainment. Being a rainy day, this was a most delightful way to tour! Had we toured on our own, we'd never have known all the incredible details of this town and its part in our history.

I am hard of hearing, so it was difficult for me to hear everything, but it was my own fault. Not the fault of the presenter. Actually, the presenter was excellent. The tour was excellent as we saw many many interesting things.
