This is a ghost tour unlike any other! Crystal is a dynamic and engaging guide, sharing factoids about Charleston and rooting the haunted stories in history and evidence. We got to spend some time listening for ghosts using EVP in Philadelphia Alley, we’re encouraged to take lots of photos to find orbs at different haunted locations, and even had an AI-powered ghost detector running throughout our tour. This tour is a great way to see Charleston and Crystal is an incredible guide for your experience.

It was a great way to see Charleston at night, and also hear about the history of the city that you wouldn't get in a day tour. We took our kids and they said it was their favorite part of the trip. We planning on visiting Savannah in the future and will make Afterlife Tours a part of that experience as well.

I am not much of a tour person. Or a ghost person. But this was actually pretty fun! Crystal was exuberant and had a good understanding of the ghost encounters and history around Charleston. It was a fun time had by all!

I did a tour with Ryan in Savannah and thoroughly enjoyed it, so it was a no-brainer to join another tour he led. He provided so much haunted history and stories to really bring our tour to life. The amount of time and energy he spends preparing and building the tours is evident from the moment you arrive. My 10yo daughter was along for our tour, and he threw in a couple of “freebie” ghost clips along the way from an investigation he did because he thought she’d enjoy them after chatting with her a bit prior to the tour starting. So good. As an interested yet natural skeptic on all things paranormal I went into my tour without any real expectations. Ryan was knowledgeable about each building’s and local history on our tour and shared his personal experiences in each area we stopped by. It was captivating, spooky, and fun. After Life Tours is a must! Only tour that has actual audio footage !!! Also, went into the hotel and they had the proof that after life actually was there (I did this undercover). We travel all the time and do all the sights, but we've never been fans of guided tours. I've been on one 'haunted' tour in Philadelphia and we liked that even less! But this - this was a surprisingly different experience and we've completely changed our minds. The guide was that good. So good! She was knowledgeable, passionate, funny, spooky - we couldn't help but get drawn in. And Charleston is THE perfect backdrop for this kind of experience. You can totally believe the stories, and she did a great job of backing up the tales. We got shadow people, murders , haunted cemeteries. And a Tavern! Spirits with your spirits is never a bad thing. What a spoooky tour! The Concierge team at Hotel Bennett had the pleasure of taking a tour with Crystal, and had goosebumps after. The tour guide was an excellent story teller and knew a lot about the history behind Charleston. It was very interactive and kept us enjoyed the whole tour. We really loved the touch of the ghost recording device where we got to hear ghosts speak during the stories being told, it added another element of scary! We will definitely recommend this tour to our guests.

We had such a wonderful time while on this tour just as we have had on the other tours that this company offers in Savannah, GA. and St. Augustine, FL. The owners do a lot of research on the locations that are on their tours and share those findings during the tour. Listening to the tales while strolling along the historic cobblestone paths really is a great melding of the past and present. This tour will leave a fun and lasting impression for years to come!
