Our family of four adults thoroughly enjoyed this horse-drawn carriage tour of beautiful Beaufort! Wyatt, our horse, was a highlight of the experience, with a special personality that made the tour even more memorable. Our guide, a lifelong Beaufort resident, was fantastic! Her knowledge of the town's history, combined with her humor and engaging storytelling, made the entire experience both informative and entertaining. We loved seeing the beautiful historic homes, churches, and other landmarks while learning about Beaufort's fascinating past. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area. It's a wonderful way to experience the history, charm, and beauty of Beaufort! One of the more memorable parts of the tour was when, while passing several men doing utility work, our guide had to convince Wyatt that the cable on the ground was not a snake. :-)
Took this tour yesterday and it was a great way to spend an hour seeing and learning about the history of Beaufort. Plus, you get to see several beautiful homes and movie filming locations. We felt it was time well spent.
Loved the tour. Highlight of our visit to Beaufort.
As part of our Globus tour we stopped in Beaufort for the carriage tour. Our tour director, Tyler, was not only a great tour director but a great personality with a love for her horse. The animals seemed so well cared for.
The tour guide was so knowledgeable & kind & friendly & made us all feel so at home with her southern charm! Wonderful tour & time well spent!
We took a tour with Jennifer and the horse Bobby. Jennifer was so knowledgeable and pleasant. As a person who has owned horses for many years, I was impressed with Jennifer's concern for the welfare of her passengers and for the horse. I would highly recommend this tour. I lived in Charleston for 8 years and had no idea of the rich interesting history of Beaufort, SC. What a gorgeous town!
Really informed tour guide. Enjoyable with headphones to really hear description of sites. She was very attuned to her horse as well. I went solo with my service dog and met very nice people too.
The horse and buggy tour was really nice. Beaufort is a beautiful area with a lot of history. Wyatt was a great horse with a lot of personality. Really lovely tour.
Excellent. Learned a great deal about the area and the history. Guide was great would highly recommend this tour.
We enjoyed the relaxing ride through the historic district. Our guide, Anastasia was knowledgeable about the history of the area and kept the tour light and entertaining, all while maintaining our safety along the streets.
This is a must do in Beaufort! The history and stories told with humor, priceless. You see the houses in the historic Point come alive.
The carriage ride turned out to be the highlight of our visit to Beaufort. Our driver, Liz, was a wealth of information, funny and really LOVED her horse...Wyatt Erp! The relationship between them was so obvious, and only made our experience better. The history about the local area was interesting in itself, but the extent that Beaufort and it's citizens played in American history was incredible. We live near Charleston, and have done numerous carriage rides, but this was by far the best one we've enjoyed!!
Very comfortable and driver a hometown girl who was very knowledgeable. Just the right amount of time. Very enjoyable.
Fantastic!!! Our guide was knowledgeable and had a great personality! Our horse was beautiful! This was a great experience!
Thoroughly enjoyed this informative tour of historic Beaufort. Our guide was funny and knowledgeable. I appreciated the little headsets so we could all hear our guide well. I definitely recommend this tour.
This tour exceeded our expectations!! The staff, from booking to check-in and beyond were exceptionally helpful and nice. Our driver and guide was Tyler Banks who was full of enthusiasm and knowledge of Beaufort. Tyler was humorous—joking about our horse Steve and other witty comments that made for a pleasant 55 minute ride through the historic district. There was also an opportunity at the end to interact with the horse. Strongly recommend — fun for all ages.
We enjoyed our tour guide and really loved the horse Steve! He was a character 🩷
Our tour guide was awesome and so was steve. Very knowledgeable about the area and made the tour exciting
Beautiful carriage tour around historic district
“Beautiful Beaufort on the Bay”, was indeed, very beautiful. Our Guide couldn’t have been any more entertaining …her humor easily kept you engaged in the tremendous amounts of history she shared. Wyatt our horse was equally as fabulous …what a gem!! …literally our entire experience was spectacular.
the guide waws amazing as was the whole experience.
The carriage is comfortable. The pace was super slow and easy. This tour might want to consider renaming itself, as there was very little history shared by the guide. Perhaps “A Lazy Horse drawn Carriage Ride through beautiful Beaufort” would be more accurate. The guide’s script was corny and silly. A young child talked the entire time without any parental restraint, which made it difficult to hear the guide clearly. Certainly parents should not bring a young child who talks constantly on a tour like this. The guide emphasized how well this company takes care of its horses. For that I admire them. To repeat this type of discussion for an hour was irritating.
On our first trip to Beaufort, SC - together with 2 other couples - we took the horse drawn carriage tour. It was very informative & interesting - with history & attractions. A great and fun way to see this pretty, coastal town.
The guide was extremely thorough in the history of Beaufort. Really enjoyed this tour and would recommend to everyone.
Horse drawn carriage is the best way to see beautiful downtown Beaufort with all its history and beauty.
Our tour guide was amazing. Great stories, wonderful sense of humor and certainly a passion for the horses and the Town. Beautiful homes and history. Would recommend this to anyone!

Great tour! Tom was a wonderful guide and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend!
Great tour of the city and it's history.
Lovely excursion with Link and Tom. Relaxing, informative and delightful.
Wonderful!! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. She knew her history and she knew Beaufort. It made our visit extra special!
Was great meeting showed round by Charlotte, who was clearly so proud of her heritage. She presented the trip with humour and was very interesting. Wyatt (the horse) was amazing.
Wonderful tour of Beaufort! Wyatt, our house, and bus driver did a wonderful job keeping us safe!
We really enjoyed the tour. We learned quite a bit about their town history. It was an awesome experience to see all the historic homes and buildings. Very beautiful town.
This was a nice ride through Beaufort with a driver who gave us an entertaining narrative of what we were seeing mixed with some history and humor.
It is definitely worth your time and you will also learn something. The homes are beautiful and are not something you see every day.
Terrific experience! Guide was great-funny, knowledgeable, experienced.
Fun, informative and educational. Sit back and enjoy! Our horse Stevie was a star. The guide was superb.
Great experience. Learned a bunch and folks who worked there could not have been more friendly.
Very nice tour. Tom was very knowledgeable and entertaining
The guide was very helpful when getting onto and off the carriage. She was also very knowledgeable about the history of the area.
Tyler handled Steve the star of the show professionally. She was very knowledgeable and entertaining along the tour. Would definitely recommend the experience.
Tom was a wonderful tour guide and made every minute enjoyable. This is the perfect tour to learn about Beaufort and the history of the area.
Took my two young daughters ages 7 and 8 on this tour on Sunday. Tyler was an excellent guide. She was very informative, personable, and my girls thought she was funny. Especially the part where she told us that sh reads the trip advisor reviews to the horses in her spare time. My girls had soo much fun that they asked if we could go again when they cone back to my house in two weeks. Sincerely, the meta glasses dad.
Thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and pointed out numerous points of interest. Perfect day and perfect weather. Would highly recommend this tour.
Charlotte and Wyatt made a great team taking us around historic Beaufort. Charlotte was exuberant and witty while sharing her knowledge of her hometown’s history. And Wyatt was unfazed by motor vehicles, humans and dogs alike as he led us along the streets of Beaufort. This tour is a great way for first time visitors to gain a real appreciation for this lovely southern town.
We do this tour every couple of years and love it every time! Steve our horse was a handsome boy with an amazing work ethic! It was obvious he loves his job and all the treats he gets afterwards. Tyler was a fantastic tour guide who gave us a great tour of the various sites and narrated it in a fun and refreshing way! My aged parents had a great time and found the carriage quite comfortable and smooth. We will be back in the future. True southern hospitality. Thanks!
Very interesting tour of historical Beaufort homes and involvement with Civil War!
