Great hotel and great location with friendly and helpful staff. Had a 2 night stay here and can't say enough about the awesome staff. Everyone from the valet, the greeter, front desk, etc. was a pleasure to interact with. The location can't be beat - it's an easy walk to the market, restaurants, shopping, the water front and many other downtown sites. Our room was also clean and comfortable - our floor was quiet so everyone was able to rest after seeing the sights. My family really felt welcome here and we would stay here again.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a wonderful stay at the Lindy Renaissance Charleston. The customer service was excellent from start to finish. Everyone was welcoming, professional, and made me feel right at home. A special thank you to the valet team for being so friendly and efficient, and to Nick at the front desk. He was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. The hospitality truly made a difference, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Charleston. I look forward to staying here again!
Amazing hotel! The rooms were so nice & clean. The staff & service was amazing. You could tell the staff worked as a team & were so friendly & kind to one another. We loved Richard! We just got married & they delivered prosecco up for us! The gym was so nice! Even the bathrooms were so cute! They also give you protein bombs with your stay for being a Marriot Bonvoy member! The cafe attached had wonderful breakfast as well. We didn’t get the chance to dine at the restaurant attached, but we heard it was amazing as well! The location was wonderful! You can walk to everywhere- restaurants & shopping, and all the way down to the water!
This hotel boasts an unbeatable location that makes exploring the city incredibly convenient. The staff is attentive from everyone at the front desk to housekeepers albeit language was a barrier. The onsite restaurants offer a decent food selection and worth noting they have limited hours. Our only real disappointment was the room itself. It was significantly smaller than expected, even with an upgrade, and was dated for the price. If you plan to be out and about exploring all day and don’t mind cozy, no frills sleeping area, this place works great.
This is the worst Marriott Renaissance. The ONLY good experience was with the wonderful bellman, Richard. He is charming, respectful and hard-working. The hotel does not recognize AMEX Platinum FHR guests, and the front desk was not welcoming to our family. My room was freezing and the air conditioner woke me throughout the night and blew in my face. Turning the air conditioner off at night made the room more comfortable. The room and bathroom were not cleaned during my stay. Housekeeping visited the room to refresh towels and make the bed, but they did not vacuum the floors or clean the toilet during my stay. There was only one chair on the balcony. The worst part was the small pool was closed during our visit and guest passes to the nearby pool were never available. We selected this hotel because of the pool. The nearby Charleston Place posted on their website that their pool was closed, so we selected the Renaissance. We ended up taking an UBER to a nearby beach which worked out great. Overall, it was a disappointing and overpriced stay, and this is certainly not a 4-star hotel. The hotel offered no compensation for the closed pool. Regrettably, I would not choose to stay here again or suggest it to others.
