The Dewberry is an absolute gem and easily one of the most beautiful and memorable hotel experiences I’ve had in Charleston. From the moment you walk in, there’s an undeniable sense of style, sophistication, and warmth. The interiors are stunning, the atmosphere effortlessly chic, and the staff welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. Every detail feels thoughtfully considered. The lobby bar is a showstopper, with its gorgeous brass accents, beautiful design, and wonderfully vibrant atmosphere. The rooms are equally impressive, with incredibly comfortable beds, luxurious mattresses and pillows, and beautiful bathrooms featuring spacious showers and a tub. A perfect retreat after a day of work or exploring Charleston. The spa was another highlight. I treated myself to an incredible deep tissue massage, followed by time in the steam room. Pure bliss! The perfect combination of relaxation and indulgence. A special mention goes to the hotel’s exquisite boutique, curated by Jenna, whose impeccable eye for distinctive, beautiful, and unexpected pieces makes the shopping experience a destination in itself. Such a thoughtful selection of brands. I also thoroughly enjoyed lunch at the CITRUS CLUB rooftop restaurant. The atmosphere was lovely, and my fresh tuna salad was absolutely delicious. Light, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. What truly sets The Dewberry apart, however, is its people. The warmth, hospitality, and attention to detail made the entire stay feel incredibly special. Huge shout out to manager Kimberly and her unwavering kindness and willingness to asisst! The Dewberry strikes that rare balance between timeless elegance and contemporary cool. Beautifully designed, full of character, and sophisticated without ever feeling pretentious. I loved every moment and cannot recommend it highly enough. A new Charleston favorite, and a hotel I cannot wait to return to!

We (my wife & I) had a wonderful weekend at The Dewberry! The hotel is absolutely beautiful, impeccably clean, and full of Southern charm. The design, food, and overall atmosphere were amazing, but what really made our stay special was the staff. Everyone was so kind, attentive, and willing to go above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. A special thank you to Daniel, the concierge/manager, and Jason at the bar for being so welcoming and helpful. Even the complimentary rides were such a thoughtful touch. We truly appreciated every part of our stay and can’t say enough great things about this hotel. We look forward to coming back!
As a local, I find myself at The Dewberry often. Sometimes on a staycation (LOVE their rooms and amenities) but usually meeting clients over brunch or unwinding in the Library Lounge in the evening. Their brunch and food menu is truly exceptional, and the cocktails are just as memorable. On Thursday nights, the lounge comes alive with live music from an incredible piano and vocal duo. It’s one of my favorite spots in Charleston. Highly recommend!!
We really enjoyed our visit to The Dewberry. The view of the city from the eighth floor was beautiful, but what made the experience especially memorable was the wonderful staff. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. There was no table available upstairs when we arrived, but they kindly invited us to wait and offered us water, including warm water with lemon. When a table for two became available upstairs, they made sure we were taken care of. We ordered dessert, and when we asked about hot tea, we were told that it wasn’t normally served upstairs. But instead of simply saying no, they went downstairs and brought us tea just to make us happy. That small gesture was very touching and really showed how much they cared about their guests. A beautiful view, a lovely atmosphere, and genuinely warm hospitality. We left with a very good feeling and would be happy to come back.
My husband and I stayed at The Dewberry a few weeks ago. The hotel itself was gorgeous - very clean, beautifully decorated and smelled great too. We also ate at the Citrus Club on the rooftop, where we had great appetizers and drinks. What truly set this experience apart though, was the front desk staff. Suzy checked us in and upon hearing it was our first time in Charleston, she helped upgrade us to a gorgeous suite. About 30-minutes later, she sent us up warm chocolate chip cookies and a note welcoming us to the hotel from the front desk staff. She was unbelievably accommodating and made our trip so special. We can't wait to come back!
