Stayapt Suites North Charleston

Check-in was easy. Had no lights until I called the front desk for him to tell me where the "master switch" was to turn on the lights. Was pleased with the kitchenette... Surprised by the dishwasher. The view out of the bedroom window was the highway 😞😞 but the area was quiet for the majority of the stay.

I highly recommend this place I have been staying here for about 4 months now and I love it I have not seen one bug. And one time we had I bad storm and it knocked out the power so I went to the staircase because there was on glass and there was lots of light in there. So there was a lot of people in there but I what to tell you about Mark the gentleman who runs the front desk he came and checked on us every few minutes. and I just wanted spread the word about him I highly recommend this hotel.

My mama and I stayed here for a concert a few weeks ago. And it was great and close to so much. A very laid back apartment style hotel. Very clean and had a good amount of space in the room.

My husband was supposed to be staying at this hotel long-term for work, and I came to visit with our son. Unfortunately, this was one of the dirtiest hotel rooms we've experienced. The room clearly hasn't been deep cleaned in quite some time. There were cobwebs in the corners, dirt built up behind the doors, visible mold in the bedroom and on the ceiling, and the entire room smelled damp and musty—like a wet basement or rotting wood. The floors were sticky in several areas, and even the linens smelled like mildew and appeared dirty. The biggest surprise came when we pulled out the sleeper sofa for our son. Inside we found Taco Bell sauce packets, dirt, dust, food debris, and the used sheets from the previous guest were still on the mattress. Because of this, our son wasn't even able to sleep on it. Customer service was just as disappointing. We tried to get additional towels from the front desk, but no one was there. We called the number posted at the desk. The first time, no one answered. The second time, we were yelled at for calling because it was apparently an emergency line. Instead of helping us, we were told to go find a room where extra linens were supposedly stored, then the employee hung up on us. We couldn't locate the room they described, so we had to make do with the single towel that was already in the room. The conditions were so bad that by 9:00 p.m. we decided we couldn't stay any longer. The smell and the overall condition of the room made us feel uncomfortable just being there. I even took a shower hoping to feel clean, but somehow I felt dirtier afterward because of how unclean everything was. We packed up and left. I understand that extended-stay hotels see a lot of use, but cleanliness and basic customer service should never be optional. This experience was extremely disappointing, and I sincerely hope management addresses both the condition of the rooms and the way guests are treated. My husband will be moving hotels for the remaining 8 months of his job.
