Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island

I booked a room with a view, we get to the resort and open the room door only to see the top of buildings and exhaust stacks. I immediately went to the front desk only to be told I could be moved for a upgrade fee, 75 more a night. The front desk clerk went on to tell us we were getting her favorite room, again no great view, this time its a pool and parking lot. We walked the entire building and realized there are absolutely no rooms available with a ocean view. False advertisement. The fees are not disclosed for absolutely everything, dont sneeze it cost extra. The front desk will not answer the phone, its AI generated. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

We stayed at Sonesta Hilton Head with our family and had a fantastic experience. The property is spotless, our room was impeccably clean, and we loved that there’s no carpet — it feels so much more sanitary. The breakfast buffet was excellent with plenty of options, and everything tasted great. Service was outstanding from start to finish. Check-in was quick and efficient, and the staff consistently went out of their way to help. Special shoutout to Director Michael Insua for clearly leading a team that’s on point and focused on guest happiness. Perfect location if staying on the island. Especially for a golf trip because you’re centrally located. So if wanted to play harbor town or oyster reef on the ends of the islands the drive is

My wife and I had a fantastic vacation stay at the Sonesta Resort in Hilton Head Island SC. When we arrived, we recrived a very warm welcome from Orville at the front desk. We asked if it was possible to upgrade our room to a poolside room with ocean view. It was done. Also, we asked if it was possible to extend our stay an extra day. Again it was done. Orville and all the staff were very friendly and did whatever they could to accommodate us. The property was immaculate. The room clean and comfortable. There are several restaurants and places to enjoy a cocktail. The hotel is located on the beach, clean with soft white sand. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available for a fee. The hotel is elegant, affordable, family and pet friendly resort. We had a fantastic time and will highly recommend a stay. 5-Stars. We will definitely be back.
