Very disappointed with our experience so far. We just checked in and there is major renovation happening directly in our building. The drilling is extremely loud, with construction dust and smell. We have two young children who already missed their nap because they simply cannot sleep through the noise. We asked the front desk to relocate us and even offered to pay extra, but were told they cannot move us because we booked through Hotels.com. Canceling and rebooking isn’t an option because the hotel shows sold out online. If major renovations are happening, rooms directly affected should not be sold, or the hotel should at least be flexible about relocating guests. We are here for three days and are very disappointed with the customer service and lack of a reasonable solution.

We've been timeshare owners for 20 years and OceanWatch has been one of our favorite resorts. Myrtle Beach is a great place to spend vacation, especially if you like clean, candy beaches and a beautiful ocean. There are many touristy things for kids--lots of mini golf--and adults--many golf courses--and so much more. OceanWatch is a Marriott resort and, as such, has comfortable, clean villas which are updated regularly. Service is top-notch and the pools are clean and large enough for a crowd. Plus the beach is just a boardwalk away. A beautiful place, inside and out.
It really was such a great experience. We had an Oceanview room on the corner so we overlooked everything. The resort staff were extremely friendly and had daily activities for the whole family. High recommend
I do not like Myrtle Beach! With that being said, this property is secluded along a quiet area of the beach. The property is beautifully maintained. Staff is always nice. One of the better locations on the East Coast within the Marriott Vacation Club. We love the beach, pools, entertainment (Pedro was excellent!), the pool bar (Shawna is excellent). It is a wonderful escape location. We’ve been here 7 times over the past 10 years. The renovation work done since our last visit was also excellent.
We were worried to come because we had heard that Myrtle beach was the Redneck Riviera. I was so impressed with our stay at this vacation club property. We had a great view of the ocean and the pool. Our room was recently remodeled and was one of the nicest club villas we have stayed at. The staff was beyond nice, especially Shanon at the Members check in area. We spent way too long in that check out lounge getting to know the staff. This property is right on a beautiful white sand beach. We spent hours on the beach and hours at the pools- there were 4 different ones. We played foosball, corn hole, worked out at the fitness center. There was a sand volleyball court, bocce ball, shuffle board and a sport court for basketball and pickleball. The pb net was thrashed and we don’t love playing on the blue plastics courts, so we found free city pb courts at midway for our daily dose of pb. We had nightly hot tub excursions and used the grills often. The location is close to north Myrtle beach which is the more upscale part of the town. Best of all, this property was close to 2, yes 2 Food lions. We were able to go on the daily and chat with Cheryl - their happy clerk- she always had lots to say. Our teenage girls had lots of boys to talk to in the hot tub every night. We could watch from our balcony (protective of our girls) and they had fun flirting with the southern boys. We might be crazies, but we got to watch the drama unfold in front of our balcony!! Highly recommend this property. It was a great week for our family and we came back from spring break with some sunburns, lots of sore ribs from laughing so much and a few extra pounds from the fried chicken and biscuits!
