The overall resort was nice and had a lot of great amenities, but unfortunately, the condition of the room did not match the price we paid. The hotel felt more like a three-star property with five-star prices. The carpet in the room was visibly dirty, and the balcony also needed a good cleaning. The bathroom was extremely small and uncomfortable. The bathroom door was so tight that you practically had to step all the way inside just to close it, and there was barely any room to move around. For the price point, I expected the accommodations to feel much more modern, clean, and comfortable. I will say that the overall resort, amenities, and common areas were nice, which helped make the stay enjoyable.

The good: The staff is very friendly. I enjoyed the evening happy hour and free snacks from 5-6:30pm. The lobby bar was nice. I also enjoyed the gym. The gym is a bit of a walk from the main hotel but the facility was well kept and better than a standard hotel gym. The pool looked nice, although I did not visit it much due to the amount of screaming children. The room size was good. The double vanity in bathroom was nice. The bad: Check in line took 30 minutes. After waiting to check in, my room was not ready until after 5pm. I arrived to the property at 3pm. My room was supposed to be a “Premium room.” The carpet was nasty. Stains everywhere. The couch was also stained. Didn’t even want to sit on the couch or walk barefoot. Door hinges rusted. The balcony had an ocean view, but also a view of the disgusting roof of the building, balcony was not clean. The dining table was very scratched up. My bed sheet did not seem to fit the bed. No hotel robe or slippers. One of the elevators was broken. It sometimes took me 10+ minutes just to get to and from my room. I also struggled to get water bottles delivered to my room. Sometimes they took an hour + , sometimes they never came at all. This hotel has potential but it needs some work. It is expensive for the room quality. Other embassy suites I’ve stayed at were much better kept.
The hotel is pretty decent. However, if I compare this hotel to the other Embassy Suites that I’ve stayed at in different locations, this one was my least favorite. I can’t express how frustrating the elevator experience was. There was a long line at the elevator all day due to some of the elevators not working. At one point, there was only one elevator in operation because the other two were not working at all. You could easily stand in line for 15 minutes or more if you wanted to go up to your room. Also, my family ate dinner at the restaurant in the lobby. We had to wait for a considerable amount of time before our food came out. Other than those two things, everything was fine. It’s not a bad hotel. I’ve just had much better experiences at other Embassy Suite locations.
The location of this resort is great. Unfortunately the overall experience was lackluster. Arrived at 4pm to check in and the room wasn't ready. That's fine, have my number and waited patiently; 4 hours later, no call or text. I check back in and the clerk didn't seem to care and just handed me the keys. The hotel states it was newly renovated; however, they clearly missed items. The bathroom tub was rusty, the floor seemed dirty and either the tub or toilet leaked a water would run across the floor. At the price of the hotel, please redo the bathroom and provide a better sofa bed! I was extremely disappointed as the location great.
Our stay at Embassy Suites by Hilton Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Resort truly exceeded our expectations. As a family that travels often, this is one of the best resorts we’ve experienced on the East Coast. The beach is smooth, clean, and perfect for families, and the ocean views are beautiful. The pool area is large and very family-friendly, with convenient food and drink service, a restaurant connected to the pool, reasonably priced cabanas, and a lovely boardwalk right by the water. Inside, the resort offers everything you need, including a coffee shop, restaurant, arcade for kids, spa, and an indoor pool, which is great during cooler weather. The breakfast buffet was a standout, one of the best we’ve had, with a wide variety of hot and cold options, a custom omelette station, and plenty of drinks including juices, sodas, water, and coffee. Customer service was warm and welcoming throughout our stay. We highly recommend this resort for any family looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway.
