Quain was great, friendly and generous, took great care of us and made sure we got to see all the requested locations. Even did a lady stop to let us grab some provisions.
Quain our driver was an excellent host. We gave him a list of things we wanted to see and do and he exceeded our expectations. He has a lot of knowledge and pride in his homeland. He was very mindful of our time and trying to navigate the brief rainfall to fully enjoy our tour.
We recently took a trip with Lucian Explora as a group of 50, and it was hands down one of the best excursions we’ve had. The crew went above and beyond from start to finish, making sure everyone was comfortable and having a great time despite our big group size. The scenery was absolutely stunning breathtaking views the whole way. A huge shoutout to Raving Boss and Nio, who cooked us an incredible beach lunch right on the spot. Having a freshly prepared meal on the sand while soaking in the views was such a special touch and definitely a highlight of the trip. We also got to go snorkeling, which was the perfect way to cool off and explore even more of the beauty around us. If you’re looking for an excursion that combines great scenery, warm hospitality, and genuine care for guests, Lucian Explora delivers. Highly recommend, and we’ll be back!
Our experience was fantastic! I have a strong feeling that Quain would accommodate almost any request you have! You design it and he’ll do his best to make it happen. I recommend starting your tour as early as possible—traffic can slow things down a bit.
Lincoln was great, took us where we wanted to go and also made some recommendations of sites we should see too. We used this to factor in our travel from the north to the south of the island.
Quaint did a great job getting us everywhere we wanted and hooked us up at the attractions. Private is the only way to ho!
This was a thoroughly wonderful experience for me and my wife. Our driver and escort was Quain. He is a delightful and incredibly knowledgeable. Individual who accompanied us on every step of our personally selected multi stop tour. He was helpful and patient with us (we are seniors) in ways that easily exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend this tour and especially Quain as your driver and guide. You won’t regret it!
A wonderful glimpse into St.Lucias countryside and sites. Very tasty stop for Creole food and enjoyable boat trip for snorkelling. All this in one trip! Quain our guide was superb and we managed to make laugh as well!
Exceptional guide. Was truly a part of making our time quite memorable. He catered to all of our requests.
Our personal driver, Quain, contacted us the day prior to our tour. He inquired as to what time we wished to start the day and what things we wished to see and do. Quain was welcoming and made every effort to accommodate our requests. He designed an itinerary tailored to our interests and arranged personal guides to take us on a historical estate tour at Morne Coubaril and through the Diamond Falls Botanical Gardens. Quain even added a stop for warm banana bread. Sooo good! We were taken to great photo spots for pictures. It was wonderful that the day was tailored to our pace. Having a customized tour is a fun and efficient way to see the island. Thanks so much, Quain, for a truly memorable day!
Perfect day with Quain! Had so much fun exploring the volcano, nature, hike, waterfalls, chocolate and rum tasting etc…. Quain was a wonderful guide, he was professional, respectful, knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor. He was flexible with the itinerary and offered good suggestions and many fun facts bout this beautiful country. I’d highly recommend. The tour came with plenty of water, beer and the best rum punch we’ve had this week!!
Our driver took us to the main highlights to see on island. The Botanical Gardens, mud baths and a beautiful waterfall. It took about 3 hours to see everything just outside of Soufriere.
There are many stops on itinerary and I know you can't see all of them so make sure you list what you want to do in advance. We saw mostly ride byes. Some photo stops, and only got to walk through gardens and mud baths Our lunch stop was a hot dog stand We asked to stop in pastries and we're taken to a square nothing else All in all a very disappointing tour
We spent another incredible day in St Lucia. A huge heartfelt thanks to Khaleb who took great care of us, showed us the scenic local charms of Soufrière, and getting us back to our ship in Castries on time. We customized our tour to include (but not limited to) the three highlights for us : we made our own at a Project Chocolate Experience (bean to bar at Hotel Chocolat), walked the Stairway to heavenly Tel Paul trail for top views of the Pitons, with a final stop at the Piton Falls for some hot spring waterfall garden action. Thanks to Naomi for organizing!
This was an amazing day. Linkan was great drove us the the best spots. Great driver. Communication was amazing he used WhatsApp to let us know where to meet him when we got off the ship. Overall a great day.
This personalised tour, led by Lincoln, was brilliant. Plenty of photo stops, and fitted extra things into our schedule. Happy for us to spend as long as we liked at each location. Very careful and thoughtful driver. Thank you Lincoln!
Quain was our guide for the day and he was super cool! He made sure we got to see and do everything we wanted. We stopped at scenic view points, did a rum tasting, hiked the ter Paul nature trail, sulphur springs and the waterfall. We had a great time! The drive was ok for the most part, he is an excellent driver. We could drive with the windows down which helped. The roads are pretty windy, but all in all, worth it to experience the beauty and uniqueness of the island for the day.
We went to St. Lucia for our honeymoon and booked this tour so we can see the hot spots at our own pace (it ended up being about 6 hours). We were paired with Quain and he was the absolute best! We had the best day with him and were so grateful for the customized experience. He was so friendly and as a local, he knew all the secrets and gave us so much insight into the island. He listened to our wants and customized the whole day for us, taking us to each location and making sure we got the full experience. We stopped at the Tet Paul Nature Trail, a tour of the volcano, the Hot Springs, a waterfall, a buffet lunch with local food & the botanical gardens. All was so fun but we were especially grateful for Quain at the Hot Springs and the Waterfall. With the amount of tourists at each location and not a clear understanding of what to do, it was very overwhelming but luckily Quain knew all the tips and tricks and we were able to enjoy without any stress. He was the best and we are so glad we were able to spend the day with him. Highly recommend to bang out all the tourist spots at once in a fun & chill way!
Definitely the best way to see the island and love that it was flexible enough to see what you want! Quain was fantastic and we all had an amazing experience!
Our driver did not show for our 8 am pick up. Our hotel called the tour operator who said they had mixed up the date but could send a driver. It took about a hour so we started 90 minutes late. The driver was very accommodating and shared interesting things about the island. We had given the list of things we wanted to do and asked if we had enough time as it was a lot. They said yes but unfortunately we weren’t able to do the last few things as they had closed at 3 or 4 pm. Of what we did, it was a great day and we truly enjoyed the experience. The chocolate making experience, Tet Paul trail (get the guide as he will tell you about the plants, trees, and flowers along the way), and the Sulphur springs were highlights. My advice is to double confirm the date and pick up time with the tour operator in advance and choose fewer things to do. The company was very apologetic and helpful but we missed out on some things due to the delayed start and closures.
St Lucia is such a wonderful island. Soufriere is an amazing town, with an active volcano to visit, and a mud bath in thermal waters. We also went to a beautiful waterfall. Soufriere is a must visit if in St Lucia. This was a highlight of our cruise trip. We visited with an our 84 yrs old mother and we felt safe and taken care of at all times. Be aware that the roads are really windy.
The Tour guide Caleb was very polite and helpful . He took all our photos and he is very patient We enjoyed the Soufrière tour very much He was also very flexible if we wanted to take on another site
Our family of 5 (mom, dad, 3 grown kids 20+) really enjoyed this trip. Driver and guide Quain was fantastic. Super friendly, fun, attentive to using our time well, flexible, knowledgeable about all the places. We did Rabot Chocolat experience, Tet Nature Trail (a must!), and the volcano and mud bath followed by Toraille Waterfall. All lots of fun. Quain had cold beverages on board for us and even made some extra stops that we requested or needed. Highly recommend this tour and Quain is the guy to guide you!
We had a fabulous adventure and highly recommend! 10/10 stars!!! Communication with the owner was great and Quain our tour guide/driver was excellent! He had a clean, comfortable van with A/C and offered us beverages and was a very safe driver. He gave us information about the island, at our stops, lookouts, activities and answered questions. The main activities we chose were Tet Paul Nature trail, Sulphur Springs, Torielle waterfall, and Diamond Falls and botanical gardens. All the many other stops were beautiful lookouts so I could grab a quick photo. He was so helpful in giving instructions about the activities and took amazing photos too! Truly a kind person. It was our favorite excursion from the cruise ship of the week in the Caribbean! Thank you so much Lucian Explora for a fantastic tour!
We had a fabulous adventure and highly recommend! 10/10 stars!!! Communication with the owner was great and Quain our tour guide/driver was excellent! I had sent a list of our top things to do so we could start planning. They helped us understand what is realistic with drive time to Soufriere and organized it to maximize what we got to do. We were on a cruise and he picked us up at 9:00am and returned us at port at 4:30pm as requested. Quain contacted us 24 hours before on what’s app to confirm pick up location. Our ship changed docks last minute so I messaged Quain and he found us right away. Truly a kind person who went out of his way to restock volcanic mud at the sulphur springs for everyone and give a hand on the hike. He paired us with an amazing man who knew everything about the plants in the botanical gardens. It was our favorite excursion of the week in the Caribbean! Thank you so much Lucian Explora for memories that will last a lifetime!
Amazing experience. Our guide Quinn must be the best in the business! 10/10, highly recommended! Took us to the baths, waterfalls, and some really great local restaurants!
Our guide provided a flexible tour that catered to our interests during our limited time in St. Lucia. This tour offers a comprehensive experience of this absolutely beautiful island nation. Our driver and tour guide had an intimate knowledge of the island and made us feel incredibly comfortable and welcome. I would not hesitate to hire him and his company again for our next trip to St. Lucia to enjoy the beautiful island.
Booked for a day in port whilst on a cruise. On the positive - organisation was good, to book and for meet up in port. Booking straightforward. Representative and driver were on time, good communication. I would not recommend the driver we had: - the car broke down twice. We had to wait while he fixed it - battery problems. Made for a stessful day wondering whether we would get back to port on time. - the driver frequently took calls and even texted while driving. This did not feel safe. - he tossed two empty plastic bottles of water out of the window, in an eco area - we had to wait while someone delivered water and beer (on the plus they were both cold but we told him we’d rather not wait, we did not need these drinks) - we also had to wait around on a busy corner while someone came to pay him. There was no communication about this until we asked what the delay was - we’d said from early on we wanted to see the waterfall but there ended up being no time - see above for all the ‘wasted’ time - the windscreen had a huge crack in it. It wouldn’t have taken much for it to shatter altogether It was a stressful day! We did get back to port on time / at 4.10 when we’d requested 4.30 so that was great. But we do not recommend this driver (Bruce). If you book using a name you know - perhaps from the other good reviews here - it should be fine. As it was we wish we’d taken the taxi lottery at the port itself / something we’d wished to avoid by booking ahead through a well reviewed company. Our experience suggests it’s pot luck which driver/car you get.
This was a great way to see the parts of the island that we wanted to & avoid bits that we were less keen to see. We met our driver/guide - Albert - with a list and he created a route to match our wishes with a couple of other suggestions thrown in to complete the day. We included Marigot Bay, Canaries, Anse La Raye and the Tet Paul trail that gave a brilliant view of the Pitons. Beware, though, this is advertised as an easy/medium trail but some parts were quite tough going! Loved jumping into the Toraille Waterfall despite not having been to the mud baths and spent a bit of time on the beach at the Sugar Beach resort to round off our trip. Albert was a great guide, and helped us see some of the real St Lucia as well as the tourist stops and we enjoyed the freedom of taking things at our own pace rather than having to go along with the timings of a big group. Disappointed that water and sodas weren't provided as advertised, apparently due to an oversight on despatch; only a small gripe but in those temperatures it mattered.
Fabulous driver Albert, found us despite cruise ship docking on unexpected dock. Team was great, day amazing. Had a lovely time. Really recommend
Note that the itinerary were suggestions...it was great to talk through them and pick out what was interesting to us and what order... Albert was super easygoing and the experience was wonderful so we could explore. There were some places closed because it was Sunday so probably want to note that. Also pay attention to the fees, it's not expensive but you'll want to have plenty of cash. Also note lunch is not included and credit cards are not accepted. This was something not noted and I would have skipped lunch had I known.
It was custom made to our liking and he did a great job. We saw everything we wanted to see plus more.
Experience was more of a taxi service than a tour. While our guide was a nice guy, he didn’t really have any knowledge of the places we were going, only to know how to get there. For example, when visiting the Botanical Gardens, our driver simply followed us around silently. The website does say that you do pay for anything additional, however most of the locations are listed as free admission, however my partner and I ended up spending an additional $175 USD accumulated at each location. Lunch was also not included and was $20/person. While the taxi service was a fair price to get us around the island, the additional charges to each stop should be communicated in the description on the website, as well as it clearly indicating that it is a taxi service than a tour. Given this, it is a flexible option to those looking to see multiple different things on their own schedule based on what they want to see, just prepare for the additional costs that come with it.
Quin was an amazing tour guide for this excursion. He asked us what we wanted to experience and curated the perfect day for us. We got to visit multiple water falls, the sulfur springs, and learn about the beautiful fishing town of Soufriere. We had an amazing time and woukd highly recommend their services. Thank you very kindly!
A wonderful experience! Dora reached out the day before to understand what we were looking for in our private tour. We chose to see the north end on the island. Sherwin did our tour and was fabulous. He gave us information about all the sites we saw, was an expert photographer and worked hard to ensure we had the perfect tour for our family. Highly recommend, a great way to tour the island at your own pace.
So I just got back home from my trip and I wanted to take a moment to share how great it was working with Nio and her amazing team on drivers!!! We were a group of 5 total and stayed in Saint Lucia for 7 days total. We pretty much stayed in Hotel Chocolat & Royalton and played mas for Carnival so our drives were plentiful!! During carnival especially traffic is high bout her and her drivers (shout out to Nico) were professional, great communicators and prompt in getting us where we needed to be for tours, fetes and carnival Monday & Tuesday!! Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable of back roads to avoid traffic! And very patient with us and our complicated hotel Royalton (don’t recommend). Shes fair, so genuinely friendly and reasonable. She doesn’t try to take advantage of you or your budget because you’re a tourist. I highly recommend and will definitely use her again!!!
My husband, children, and I loved our tours with Lucian Explora! We did a horseback on the beach tour, an ATV tour, and a private east coast tour. Naomi is very sweet, and only works with like-minded individuals. Everyone we met through Lucian Explora was kind and knowledgeable, and made sure our tours were well-paced and we were able to view many areas.
We booked our tour through Lucian Explora, and it was hands-down the highlight of our trip. From start to finish, they were extremely flexible and made everything feel seamless. Naomi was absolutely incredible to work with and made sure we saw the very best of St. Lucia. Our guide took us all around Soufrière, and it’s hard to put into words how breathtaking it was. He knew all the best spots for photos and brought us to some amazing local food places that we never would have found on our own. We left with not only incredible pictures but also unforgettable memories. Even though we stayed at a beautiful resort, getting out into the town and exploring Soufrière with such a knowledgeable, friendly guide made the trip truly special. It felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and we owe that to this tour company. If you’re visiting St. Lucia, don’t miss the chance to book with Naomi. You’ll see the island in a way you’ll never forget!
An excellent day with our tour guide Calixte. As a fully flexible tour we were able to choose our itinerary to suit our needs Calixte was very knowledgeable and also very personable, ensuring we had an enjoyable and informative day. Some of the view points, particularly of the coastline are stunning, and we really enjoyed the botanical gardens. Local villages that we drove through gave a flavour of the real St. Lucia, which we prefer to the typical tourist areas. Thank you Calixte for a marvellous day. One item we would point out towards the tour operator (and not the guide) is that the rum distillery, chocolate factory and bread factory were all closed on a Saturday. This did not affect us too much (we were interested in seeing the distillery but not the other two places) the tour details should be clearer on this point. This is why we give the tour 4 star and not 5 star. Overall an excellent experience.
Amazing! Naomi was such a great help, I recommend contacting them before your tour so they can help you plan your tour properly and save you time and money, it was so helpful! Mr. Collins was our driver & he was so nice & helpful, even when I got motion sickness lol he made as many stops as I needed & was great company! Would 100% recommend them!
Jozet (Tour Guide Host) and Richie (Driver) provided an exceptional private tour experience. They were both very friendly, personable and knowledgeable sharing lots of information about the island. Jozet had great recommendations regarding what to do that aligned with our interests and provided a lot of flexibility. The vehicle was very spacious and clean as well. I would highly recommend.
It was clear that something wasn’t right as soon as we met our assigned guide. Unlike all the other tour companies we engaged on our Caribbean odyssey, she was not wearing any tour company branding or lanyard id testifying to her guiding credentials; she didn’t introduce us to the driver and didn’t have any bottled water on board. Despite an extensive exchange of messages with the company boss 10 days before the tour, it was clear that she hadn’t been briefed that we had asked to be taken directly to Soufriere and to discuss our return stops when we had completed the Tet Paul Trail. As we set off on our 50 minute journey, her complete silence until we came within sight of the Pitons confirmed conclusively that whatever services she was there to provide, commentary on the history, culture and nature of St Lucia was not going to feature much. For most of the journey, she was either checking her phone or using selfie-mode to check her hair. When words were eventually uttered, they were to recite what sounded like the opening paragraph of the respective Wikipedia entry. Needless to say, we sailed by several places en route which would have offered great photo opportunities and which any experienced guide would have suggested for a quick stop. During the course of our Tet Paul walk, the affable trail guide happened to mention his age which prompted our ‘guide’ to reveal she was, in fact, just 19. At that point we realised the problem wasn’t so much a lack of professionalism rather a profound lack of experience and knowledge. Whilst she was, for the most part, sociable and capable of responding with revealing answers to questions put by us on topics such as the creole language or St Lucian culture, her repeated retort that places such as Soufriere, the Botanic Garden or Anse La Raye were not worth spending time in demonstrated that she simply didn’t understand what interests tourists. We suggested we find somewhere to get a snack in Soufriere but she put effort only into getting something for herself in the supermarket and we went without until a local offered us some lobster legs to munch. We got the distinct impression that her main imperative was to get back to Castries as quickly as possible. Back in Castries, our guide had nothing to say about the beautiful Basilica and just trailed silently behind us in the market when she could have pointed out the foods and crafts that revealed something about her country. All told, this tour felt less like a professional package of tourist services than an overpriced taxi from A to B and back with a companion thrown in, something we could have organised ourselves on the ground for half the price and far less disappointment. We don’t doubt that the guide did the job to the best of her abilities and understanding of what was expected. The fault lies with Lucian Explora for setting her up for failure and assuming we would accept such a sub-standard experience without recording a detailed account to warn others not to make the same mistake as us.
The standard itinerary listed during booking wasn’t able to be followed, unfortunately and wasn’t as flexible as advertised. That being said we did enjoy the stops we selected.
We had a great time talking to Naomi I believe is her name. She was the one talking to me and giving me advice for my tour and some things none related. The experience went well. Had the pleasure of riding with Josie and Daniel. Then Quan, or Jean claude who took over. Then returned us to Josie. We found that St. lucians as a whole are very kind helpful and friendly people. And caring. I recommend this company whole heartedly. Try tours with them. They can take you to fish Fridays as well as other tours across the island. The strive to know your name and ask about you.
We had booked a split stay with two hotels on opposite sides of the Island. Booking this private trip allowed us to take a very annoying transfer (and a mostly wasted transfer day) and turn it into a highlight from our trip. We were able to make numerous stops along the way, including the mud baths, waterfall, and viewpoint, get souvenirs from local vendors, and see so many different parts of the island.
Booked this trip a couple of weeks before we travelled, the contact with Nio Rose was fantastic and gave us loads of information of what we could include in our day. The day started with a trip down to Soufriere, stopping at a wood carving shop(beautiful carvings but need a very large suitcase and bank balance to buy the larger items), a chocolate factory (very yum and the scented candles are gorgeous) and various view points. We then did the Tet Paul Nature Trail, our guide was so knowledgeable and took so many fantastic photos of us with The Pitons in the background. Really easy trail and the views were stunning. Next we visited the mud baths, absolutely lovely and skin felt amazing afterwards. I would recommend wearing old swim wear as the smell of the sulphur does linger. The mud was washed off in a visit to one of the local waterfalls. After this we visited the botanical gardens, which were beautiful and included the diamond waterfalls. Then it was off to lunch with the most stunning views of Petite Piton and Soufriere. It was a buffet lunch but delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our day, and would highly recommend
