Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort

We had an amazing stay at Sugar Beach, staying in a wonderful Beachfront Collection villa. The views are simply breathtaking and our villa's location right on the beach was amazing and very close to their South Pier where they serve the wonderful Jetty Burgers. Our butler, and was absolutely brilliant, the kids were quite demanding but he sorted everything out, from Piton beers, to daily delivery of baby food. Can’t praise their butler service too highly he really made our stay special. Sugar Beach have really upped their game over the last couple of years, service across the resort was excellent and the resort itself was in great condition everything was neat and tidy and well maintained. The restaurants were also excellent, the food standard across their four venues (Bonte, Jalouise Grill, Cane Bar and Saltwood) was exceptionally high. We did a private BBQ dinner in the villa, which was very enjoyable. Overall, an amazing stay, in my opinion one of the best resorts in the Caribbean.

Our stay at Sugar Beach was truly exceptional and easily one of the most beautiful resorts we have visited, so much so we extended our stay. The resort is absolutely 5-stars. The setting is simply breathtaking. The views from our room were beyond anything we expected, and the accommodations themselves were incredible—beautifully appointed, spacious, and luxurious while still feeling comfortable and relaxing. One of the biggest highlights of our trip was the snorkeling. The reef and marine life right off the beach were absolutely next level and made for some unforgettable family memories. The food throughout the resort was very good, with the standout for us surprisingly being the Jalousie Grill burgers at the jetty, which quickly became a family favorite. What truly elevated our experience, however, was the service. The staff throughout the resort were warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. Our butlers, Sherman and Javana, were absolutely outstanding. They anticipated our needs, helped coordinate our stay seamlessly, and consistently went above and beyond to make our vacation special. Their service played a huge role in making this trip so memorable. No resort is perfect, and there were only a few minor areas for improvement. The mattresses could use an upgrade, as they were not quite at the same luxury level as the rest of the accommodations. We also experienced an unfortunate issue with the wine service at Saltwood. The sommelier significantly misrepresented the characteristics and grape composition of a wine we were considering. After tasting it, my wife realized it was not what had been described. However, the situation was eventually handled appropriately by management, who removed the bottle from our bill. Additionally, while shuttle service was generally good, the drivers being exceptional, during our stay, we could see wait times potentially becoming more of an issue during busier periods given the resort's hillside layout. Overall, these were relatively minor concerns in what was otherwise an incredible experience. Sugar Beach offers stunning scenery, luxurious accommodations, world-class snorkeling, excellent service, and a truly special atmosphere. We would absolutely recommend it and would gladly return in the future.

We had an incredible stay at Sugar Beach Viceroy with our family and young children. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome and went out of their way to make our trip special. Our favorite activities were the catamaran excursion and the chocolate-making class—both were highlights for our kids and made for unforgettable family memories. The spa was also amazing and one of the best we've experienced. The rooms were absolutely incredible. The views were so beautiful that we actually chose to spend extra time in our room and even ordered room service one day just so we could relax and enjoy them. It was the perfect place to unwind. The service throughout the resort was exceptional, but one person truly stood out: Chellery, one of the drivers. Our kids were absolutely obsessed with him and looked forward to every ride. He was so kind, patient, and genuinely wonderful with them, and he played a huge part in making our vacation so memorable. If you're considering Sugar Beach for a family vacation, we couldn't recommend it more. It offers the perfect combination of luxury, relaxation, and family-friendly experiences in one of the most beautiful settings we've ever visited.

My husband and I just stayed here for our honeymoon and we still can't get over how perfect this place is. We felt so special the whole trip! The resort has everything you could ask for. The breakfast on the terrace is phenomenal and the food... I'm not sure if it was the honeymoon bliss but my husband and I felt the food was some of the best we've ever had! The Latin fiesta night was delicious and Saltwood truly has top level steak! The staff was the cherry on top in my opinion, they were so accommodating and friendly. I've never been more relaxed and stress free in a vacation. Sugar Beach is worth every penny!!!
