Mine and my partners first time with this sort of activity we had Martin as our guide/instructor he made us feel very welcome and safe during the activity and was extremely friendly, he was more than willing to take solo pictures of me and my partner when requested and made the whole experience exciting and memorable. I would highly recommend this trip and would do it all over again!!

As a first time experience with our 7 year old son we picked the classic canyoning adventure. Even though there wasn’t much flow the guides Russ & Wolly (Owen) made it as enjoyable as possible by blocking slides up to create more water flow. Russ was very experienced and made us feel safe while being able to enjoy the beautiful setting and adventure as a family. We were also given a go pro to record everything, which resulting in some great videos to remember the experience (these were also sent for free). Would definitely book with this company again!

Amazing Extreme Gorge Walking with Zak! What an unforgettable adventure! Zak was an incredible instructor – professional, funny, and super encouraging. He made the whole experience exciting but also safe, giving us the confidence to jump, climb, and push ourselves. The scenery was stunning and the whole morning was packed with thrills – from scrambling up waterfalls to plunging into pools. Zak kept the energy high and made sure everyone in the group was enjoying the experience. If you’re in Wales and want a proper adrenaline-filled adventure, book this with Zak – you won’t regret it!

Dom was a fantastic guide for our first time gorge scrambling experience. He kept us all safe whilst we took in the amazing landscape views in this part of the world. Core family memory locked in!

I had an amazing time scrambling. The challenges were super fun and could be easily tweaked for your comfort level not to mention the scenery was stunning. Getting to walk under a waterfall was a big highlight. Dom was a fantastic guide explaining each step, some history of the area and making sure everyone was comfortable. I would highly recommend as an activity.

I went with my wife and our two boys (ages 3½ and 6), and from the beginning, the team was great—very approachable and helpful via both email and phone. They reassured us that they had all the right gear for our boys, which put our minds at ease. On the day, our instructor Dom was amazing—confident, fun, and brilliant with the kids. He made them feel safe and excited the whole way through. The added extras like water and snacks were a lovely bonus. It was a memorable day out for the whole family, and we’ll definitely be back!

We booked Sol and Adventure Activities Wales for a work team building day. Sol was outstanding and vey flexible. He managed to provide a fantastic day out, even with difficult weather. He made everyone feel comfortable and shared a lot of knowledge of the location and activity. Everyone had a fantastic day and we will use Sol for future activities.

Couldn't speak more highly of Sol and this activity. Sol kept in contact from initial booking through to arrival on the day. After a short walk from the meeting point we were soon scrambling our way up the waterfall, climbing over boulders, sliding backwards down into rock pools and squeezing into gaps someone my age probably shouldn't! All the time Sol making sure we were having a great time while ensuring we were safe. Going back to try the extreme option soon

I was looking for a guide that could cater for a young family. AAW gave us a brilliant guide who made sure the whole family had a great time, including my 5 and 8 year old. Thank you for a day they'll never forget!

My husband and I booked (really) last minute by calling Sol up. He was so accommodating and sent us the details through straight away by Whatsapp. He sent over a helpful list of items we'd need to take with us. Sol and Instructor (Martin-apologies if I've got this wrong) were there on the day with all the equipment. They were great throughout the day and explained everything, every step of the way. Sol even turned camera man so we've got pictures to remember the day. We had the best time! It was the perfect way to stay cool on a hot day. 10/10 recommend! Thank you guys, we'll be back again! I honestly haven't had as much fun in ages. Sol from Adventure Activities Wales was great at providing info on where to meet and what we needed to bring. All the safety equipment was provided and was in excellent condition. Both my husband and I felt confident with our instructor, Martin. Before we went we advised Sol that my husband had a hip replacement last summer but he was welcomed and was able to participate in what he wanted, and stepped out when he needed to. The gorge was gorgeous (pardon the pun), very scenic. Info about the flora and fauna added to the day. You do need a reasonable level of fitness to get the most out of the day but the guys were brilliant at accommodating all levels of ability and fitness. A perfect day with photos sent in WhatsApp after (no charge) to share with family and friends. Cannot rate highly enough.

I bought this for my bf for his birthday and we loved it. The wetsuits are impressively warm making this activity in February just as fun than in summer. The jumps were thrilling and the route was incredibly scenic. I am not massively fond of heights and the guides accommodated this amazingly. I would highly recommend this activity 💪🏽

Fantastic day walking through the gorge . Instructor Don was lovely guy , really patient and kind and very knowledgeable. His years of experience really shined through . Wouldn’t hesitate to use this company again . Very well organised , great communication. Well done guys .

First class activities with excellent instruction from Zach and James. Both my 14 year old son and my 50 year old self loved every minute and pushed ourselves to our limits. Such a wonderful setting as well in a beautiful woodland gorge. Amazing!

The highlight of our holiday! Dom was our instructor, extremely experienced, knowledgeable, friendly and super good with the kids too! It was so much fun our kids (6 and 10) both want to do it again and didn't stop giggling and smiling throughout. It was challenging at times especially for our daughter who Dom said was 'definitely the littlest person I've ever had on my trip' but we were amazed at how much they both did. We scrambled so high up the gorge, sqeezed through rocks, jumped into pools, swam in waterfalls, slid down water slides and climbed up rocks alongside the most beautiful scenery it really was fantastic! A perfectly planned route for a young family adventure. We recommend this experience to everyone and so glad we found the best company to take us, will definitely be booking again for our next holiday in North Wales can't wait!

A great day. Sol, our instructor, looked after us all the way, answering questions before we booked, providing all the information we needed ahead of time, met us ar the meeting point and then took us the amazing, hidden gorge. The equipment provides was top rate - a quality wetsuit and vest - if this is your first time, go for the bouncy aid. The abseils, jumps and scrambling were all great. Sol managed the risks brilliantly, keeping it exciting but safe at all times. A couple of people in our group decided to step out for the last few abseils and Sol for them back to a known location really well. Top tip - accept the snacks when offered - your instructor knows when you need a boost.

First time doing this at age 62! Sol was brilliant in explaining and demonstrating what I would need to do. He was encouraging and allowed me time to manage my anxieties. This helped and with each absail I felt less anxious and began to enjoy the experience! I did not feel unsafe at any time. Had great friends who were also supportive. Glad I took the jump😄. Think I have got 1 better over my children😂😂! Thanks Sol!!!

Excellent! What a brilliant day. Some easy parts, others very challenging but our instructor, Sol, led us through everything safely. The scenery was utterly spectacular and abseiling down multiple waterfalls in this unspoilt gorge was amazing. We were a group of friends (adults) of mixed experience but all of us thoroughly enjoyed the day. Highly recommended.

Our favourite activity of the week, ranging from 9yrs old to 50 yrs young and some feeling more intrepid than others we made our way up the Gorge with guidance and support from Dom and Saul. It was so professional and yet fun at the same time, they thought if everything and made is feel really unique. Really can't rate this experience highly enough, we are already trying to plan a return visit!

My son (13) and I went gorge scrambling with Sol and Meg and had the best time. It really was the highlight of our trip to Snowdonia! We were complete beginners but Meg and Sol made us feel really confident and safe. We started out a little nervously but after a short time we were sliding down rocks, jumping into gorges and climbing waterfalls. It was really great! All the kit was provided and was top notch with nice new, thick and warm wetsuits (very much required!). Will definitely go again when in the area. It was a really great bonding experience for my son and I!

Had an excellent afternoon gorge scrambling in beautiful surroundings with Dom, who was a terrific guide: very personable, lots of knowledge of the area and always keeping an eye on us to make sure we managed ok, especially with the trickier bits. It was a great experience ! (Just make sure you take a big towel for getting changed in the secluded car park afterwards and appropriate footwear as they suggest on the website. All rest of the kit was provided and excellent). Definitely recommended. :)

Sol was amazing. We went the day after Storm Babet so he gave us a choice of a tamer gorge. We chose that and glad we did. Sol gave us a good safety brief, had all the correct equipment and was really good with our 8 year old. There was fun and history along the way. And of course, cake and drinks at the end. Finally, Sol took videos and photos along the way and sent these all to us at the end of the day. Would definitely recommend.

This was a fantastic end to our trip to Wales. We had never done anything like this before and we were all a bit nervous, especially my 12 year old daughter but Dom put us all at ease and was very patient and we all absolutely loved it, all having a go at the jumps and slides. I was most worried about being cold but once you got in the wetsuits did their job brilliantly. I will definitely be doing something like this again.

We had an amazing half day with Sol, scrambling up a river and a breathtaking series of waterfalls. He was very clear about what to do and the course never felt unmanageable though there were the odd tricky bits to scramble over - and he was always ready with a helping hand or foot wedge to give you some leverage. We really like his mix of enthusiasm and chill and are already planning another adventure with him since you can’t beat a mix of thrils, spills and laughs.

We had the most amazing day Gorge scrambling with Sol. What an amazing experience!! Lots of fun and great memories made in 3+ hours. Sol was very patient with us - allowing us to take our time taking in the gorgeous scenery, pointing out potential hazards. It’s an all immersive experience -sounds of the waterfalls, smelling the fresh air, tasting wood sorrel and spring water, and obviously touching all the rocks as you climb up. Genuinely one of the best things I’ve done and I totally recommend Adventure Activities and will be returning to try out their other activities. Last but not least, Sol offered us drinks & lovely lemon drizzle cake at the end - this and being able to change into some dry clothes at the back of his van, are examples of a person who goes above and beyond to make sure he provides top quality experience.

Wow! What a fabulous morning with Sol Gorge scrambling. The children (aged 8 and 11) have declared it the ‘best thing ever!’. The professional and relaxed guidance from Sol was perfect. He gaged exactly how adventurous to pitch the activity and it was amazing from start to jumps to scrambles to lemon cake, skittles and drinks at the end! Had an Absolute blast gorge scrambling with Dom. This was a perfect mix of a safe and professionally run activity but with a really friendly instructor who went out of his way to give us all a fantastic day. Our afternoon with both Sol and Dom was amazing! It was raining a lot the last couple of days. Which made the water rise, but these guys are very flexibility with different courses based on weather, audience and water level it’s impressive. My kids enjoyed both the descent and ascent of the river, along with the mine shaft explorations. It's clear that Sol and Dom are skilled guides who know how to make the experience enjoyable and challenging. The fact that they provided cake and drinks at the end shows their commitment to ensuring a great time for everyone. A fantastic afternoon well spent!

My wife and I had an awesome time with our guide Sol doing the Gorge walking! It was fantastic fun. We pretty much spent the whole session laughing as we slipped about, jumped and fell in everywhere. First time I'd done a few of the activities (like jumping off tall rocks into a plunge pool in the middle of a gorge, or eating wild garlic) and we're looking forward to the next trip with him... possibly Canyoning?
