We had a fantastic experience with Ronnie. He was super friendly and had a wealth of knowledge. I think with his enthusiasm we actually went into overtime on our tour. Highly recommend.

The Sri Mariamman Temple was founded in 1827 by Naraina Pillai, a prominent figure in Singapore’s Indian community. It was recognized as a National Monument for its architectural and historical significance.
Ann Siang Hill was once a bustling business Centre for Chinese immigrants in Singapore, retaining much of its historical and architectural charm with many of the ethnic picturesque shophouses being restored and conserved. The tour guide will show you photo taking spots that were featured in the movie Crazy Rich Asians.
Maxwell Food Centre is a treasure trove of hawker delights, featuring famous hawker dishes like Singapore's famous chicken rice, Fuzhou pancakes and other Hawker food
This Tang-styled Chinese Buddhist temple’s richly designed interiors and comprehensive exhibits on Buddhist art and history tell stories of culture over thousands of years old. The temple houses a relic said to be a tooth from Buddha. Next to it is Sago Lane, a place the Cantonese name ominously called 'street of the dead'.
Chinatown Complex is a repository of unique architectural heritage showcasing shophouses with exteriors decorated in Chinese-style tile ornaments and motifs. Previously, street hawkers would ply their trade in pushcarts all over Chinatown causing congested traffic, resulting in the construction of Chinatown Complex to resettle them without losing the district’s unique character. Today, Chinatown complex is a popular place to dine & shop.
Walk through several alleys with ethnic picturesque shophouses, Instagrammable murals by local artist Yip Yew Chong and have a rest stop at a traditional coffeeshop, feeling the nostalgia and tradition of coffee beans being roasted and ground at their backyard back in the old days.

Kelvin gave a great tour of Singapore’s Chinatown. The food was delicious and my nervous husband was comfortable with Kelvin’s advise to ensure he would not get sick. Kelvin also provided great tips on using the public transport and activities and food for the night ahead and the following morning which was way beyond his remit.
Ronnie was the most amazing guide. He is so knowledgeable and passionate about sharing the history of Singapore. We learnt so much, ate great food and had an awesome experience.
Lots of food but lots of other info too. Not too long of a walk in terms of distance but excellent pace Excellent guide
Ronnie was a great driver. He was on time and very supportive. I would definitely recommend this tour.
Our tour guide, Jag, is exceptional. She’s very knowledgeable and very communicative. Contacted us the day before to ensure we know how to get to the meeting point. She was very accommodating and made sure we were comfortable. She shared with us a lot of information and history about Singapore. We really enjoyed our conversation. Highly, highly recommend.
An interesting walk through Chinatown, our guide Jeanette was excellent , her knowledge of the history and culture was very good and we enjoyed the dishes which she selected for us . The tour ended in the temple, which was beautiful to experience. I would highly recommend this tour and Jeanette is an amazing and friendly guide.
Was a wonderful experience. Our guide was great and very knowledgeable of the cultural aspects of the area and people. Her verbal communication was great.
MK was fantastic and gave us so much historic context to the food tour. The food was interesting and tasty as well.
Our guide MK was excellent. His knowledge of Chinatown and surrounding area was unparalleled. We learnt so much about the history of Singapore. The food he organised was delicious and his knowledge about the food was extraordinary. We would recommend this tour to all our friends and family wholeheartedly.
Ronnie did a wonderful job of taking us through the transportation system, bringing us great Hawker locations, and giving us history of Singapore.
This is an excellent food tour...most of the tastings exceeded our expectations! And we never would have found some of the stops without the help of our outstanding tour guide Ronnie! He is a true guide! Not only did he explain the food...but he provided the history behind the creation and told you about the Chef and the historical changes to the establishment and the neighborhood! We would highly recommend this tour to anyone!
Ronnie our tour guide was so knowledgeable on the history of Singapore making it a very interesting tour. We were so lucky because in Little India they were celebrating Thaipusam, an incredible sight to see and hear!

Our tour experience with Kelvyn was the highlight of our trip. He was courteous, knowledgeable, caring and consistently made sure we were having a good time. An excellent guide and a great ambassador for his employer and Singapore.
We spent a wonderful time with Jeanette on the Hawker tour! Not only did we enjoy many delicacies, we also learned so much about the history, culture, and politics of Singapore!! Jeanette was a wonderful communicator, knowledgeable and eager to share her world with us!! We talked and ate nonstop. Jeanette was very open and easy to talk to, she welcomed questions and provided excellent answers! We were expecting to focus on local cuisine but we got so much more! I highly recommend this tour with Jeanette!
Our guide Ronnie. Was outstanding... Helped our disabled friend all day. And took us to some great eats. ....and provided history lesson of Singapore
Kelvin did a fantastic job with the Chinatown Food Tasting Tour for us! We learned about the history, culture and food! We tasted so many unique dishes it is hard to capture the feeling in a few words! We went with our kids, both of them are allergic to Peanuts and Tree nuts. Kelvin made sure their allergies were property addressed. Highly recommend this tour.
The food tour was amazing! We had such a great time, not only was the food fantastic, but learning about the cultural of Singapore and Chinatown made it that much more memorable. Our guide, Liang, provided the extra touch of personal history of the area.
Ronnie is an excellent, entertaining and informative guide. He led our small party of 4 through Chinatown, tasting foods and hearing about the history
Jeanette was the best guide! She showed us food we would have never tried, but it was delicious. It was also such a wide variety from local Singapore food to Indian. She was also so knowledgeable of local history that we throughly enjoyed, and she was just a nice lady overall. My son absolutely loved the coffee place she took us too! Would 100% recommend this tour with her!
Great 3 hour Food tour around Chinatown. Lots of history of the area. Pauline and partner were very knowledgeable and attentive. Thank goodness for the walking or else we would never have been able to eat the yummy last dish of Chendol.
The experience was cancelled. I did not receive a notice and only saw a note in the event chat when I was at the meeting place. The operator promptly responded indicating they processed a cancellation and I’m still waiting the confirmation of a refund.
A very interesting tour. Guide was friendly and knowledgeable . Ate several delicious foods that are typical in Singapore.
We had such a great time on this tour, and Kelvin was a big reason why it was so memorable. He was super friendly, knowledgeable and made us feel like we were exploring with a local friend rather than just following a guide. The food was soooo delicious, we tried juicy local jerky, classic Hainanese chicken rice and a bunch of other authentic Singaporean dishes we might never have found on our own. But what made it even better was how Kelvin explained the stories and history behind everything we ate. He gave us real insight into Singapore’s hawker culture and how it’s shaped by the country’s unique mix of cultures. He also shared fun tips on how to order like a local, what to look for at a hawker centre and even pointed out little cultural details around Chinatown that we would have totally missed otherwise. If you’re visiting Singapore and want to go beyond just eating good food (if you want to understand it) this tour is a must. And if you get Kelvin as your guide, you’re in for a special and unforgettable treat. Highly recommend!
Great tour guide very knowledgeable had a lot of fun go too try diffferent foods and see a baddest temple
It was an incredible experience to learn more about Singapore and eat some of the local food. Kelvin was very knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions. He was great and made it a great experience! The only negative is the tour noted we’d eat 9-10 food items and we only had 6. I also noticed a few of the items were samples from the store so they would’ve been free.
Jeannette was the perfect tour guide—knowledgeable, engaging, and a joy to spend time with. She shared fascinating insights into Singapore’s rich history and introduced us to its delicious cuisine, making the experience both educational and delightful. Highly recommend.
We booked the Hawker Culture Chinatown Food Tasting Tour while still in Australia, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our Singapore trip. From the outset, our host, Ronnie, gave clear and detailed instructions on where to meet, then expertly guided us through the bustling streets and hidden corners of Chinatown. As we walked (with purpose), we sampled an incredible variety of dishes, each one better than the last. Ronnie's deep knowledge and engaging storytelling brought the area's rich history to life and added real depth to the experience. Every food stop was a winner, and we came away with a whole new appreciation for the Hawker centres—it's easy to see why they’re such a big deal for both locals and visitors. You definitely won’t go hungry on this tour, so come with an empty stomach! Big thanks to Ronnie for making the day not just tasty, but truly memorable.
Our family took this tour and we all had a great time! In addition to exploring various foods, the tour also covered some of the history and architecture of Chinatown which was a nice touch. Our tour guide was Jeannette and she did an excellent job. We recommend this tour to anyone who wants to have a unique experience learning more about Chinatown while eating lots of amazing food!
Incredible tour with Edwin! Not only for the food, but his knowledge about Singapore was extensive, interesting, and insightful. Also, he was so accommodating with our dietary restrictions (one vegetarian and one who doesn’t eat beef). We got a great sample of some of Singapore’s most famous dishes. Highly recommend, thank you Edwin!
The tour was great! Ronnie knew a lot about Singaporean history, which was a treat. Food was great too! I did this as my first meal in Singapore and it was great to be shown how friendly and welcoming hawker centers are
Delightful experience with a friendly, charming knowledgable guide. Getting a locals insight was great and the food and drink sampled was tremendous.
Jeanette was an amazing tour guide! I am traveling solo on this trip and she did a great job of helping me to try different foods I would not normally taste. We had a great time in this tour with Jeanette as our wonderful guide. Lot of insights into the development of Singapore and, specifically, Chinatown. We were taken to many different food related stops and enjoyed a number of delicious food treats. Highly recommended.
Our guide taught us a lot about the history of Chinatown, seem different murals and we visited a well known hawker center and had some great local food!
We had a delightful afternoon exploring Chinatown on this private tour and our guide, Liang truly made the experience unforgettable. He was not only fun and engaging but also deeply knowledgeable about the rich history of the area. Our jouney began with a walking tour through Chinatown, where Liang shared stories of the early settlers, including fascinating details about his own grandparents. He brought the past to life as we stopped by the vibrant murals on Smith Street that depict Chinese heritage and everyday family life. We visited the Hill Park Center for Chinese immigrants, where Liang discussed the hardships faced by newcomers, even touching on the era of opium dens-a sobering but important part of history. Next, we marveled at the Chinese Temple, resplendent with gold artifacts and steeped in spiritual history. The atmosphere was serene & awe-inspiring. Our tour culminated in the best way possible-food! We arrived at the Maxwell Food Centre and indulged n the famous Hainanese Chicken Rice, which absolutely lived up to its reputation. We then wrapped up our tour with a traditional coffee shop, where the aroma of freshly roasted and grounded beans was an experience in itself. This tour was a perfect history of culture, history and cuisine. High recommendi t!
Jeannette was very informative about the history of Singapore and the sights that we visited. We would definitely recommend this walk for future travellers to Singapore
We booked this tour on our first day of Singapore as a way to get some fresh air, acclimate to the time zone, and learn a little about the city, food and culture. What a terrific experience! There were 5 of us total on this small group walking tour. Our tour guide, Jeannette, was wonderful. She was generous in sharing her knowledge of Singapore's history and introduced us to many wonderful street foods we would not have discovered on our own. I definitely recommend this tour whether you are new to Singapore or whether this is your 10th return trip.
