The food was yummy. William was a wonderful guide. He was full of a lot information. We would highly recommend this tour and William as your guide.

This was a wonderful tour. The communication with John before the tour was excellent. We had great communication on our multiple food allergies (nuts, shellfish, lentils, etc.). John did a great job of working with the eating establishments to make sure we had a safe and enjoyable food experience. Also, the information that John provided on the history of Singapore was enlightening. We definitely recommend this tour.
Make sure you're hungry before you set out! Our friendly and knowledgeable guide HJ took us through local haunts in Kampong Lam, Little India and Chinatown, where we had traditional dishes and some very that were very unusual to us. All delicious, but take heed when he asks about any likes or dislikes as he'll tailor the menu on the fly. While the focus is on food, we meandered through amazing shops and lively markets in each district that we probably would normally overlook. Well worth it!
Grayson was a great guide giving us an interesting, factual, engaging tour with a fantastic range of tastings. So enjoyable!
Teng was an incredible guide. Very knowledgeable and kind. The food was amazing and the detail he gave not only about the food but each area along the tour was great. I highly recommend this tour!
The tour was great. Our guide was friendly, interesting, informative, and entertaining. We had a great day.
Interesting, informative and fun , with delicious food A great thing to do to get your bearings of Singapore
This 10 food tasting singapore tour not worth for that's amount of money given cheaper food not that fantastic service Yet tour ended much more earlier do not book this tour in Singapore you can do this food tasting tour by yourself singapore public transport are very cheap and advanced most important That's this country are English speaking and sign all English and the safe country in Asia, you don't need guide here for sure you will save alot money for your own trips in Singapore.
Great food tour with Ron. He was very informative about the different cultures in Singapore and the different types of food. The food was delicious and there was heaps of it. I would highly recommend Ron.
HJ was a terrific guide in Singapore. He made sure we were as comfortable as possible and he had a great amount of knowledge about the area that made the walking tour very informative. He was polite and ensured we had what we needed at each stop and was courteous to all the locals we interacted with. Highly recommend!
We had a fabulous private tour with Adam for our family of 4 adults. The food was terrific, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide.
Our private tour with just us and our guide TENG was great. We walked and caught the train between cultural areas. The food was very tasty and the cultural history was fascinating we learned so much more than if we’d just walked around on our own. Thoroughly enjoyed the morning.
William was an absolute highlight of our time in Singapore! He took us on an incredible food tour through three distinct areas of the city, where we got to experience authentic Chinese, Indian, and Malay cuisine giving us a real sense of just how rich and diverse Singaporean food culture truly is. It was the perfect way to understand the melting pot that makes Singapore so unique. What set William apart was how much he brought the experience to life beyond just the food. He was full of fascinating Singaporean history and fun facts about the city that kept us engaged and entertained throughout the entire day. You could tell he genuinely loves sharing his city with visitors. His enthusiasm was infectious. He made the whole tour an absolute joy. Knowledgeable, fun, and passionate about what he does, William is the kind of guide who turns a good trip into an unforgettable one. Would recommend him without hesitation to anyone visiting Singapore!

Hello, I booked your private food tour through TripAdvisor for over $300 on May 15. Unfortunately the experience did not meet reasonable expectations for Premium private The guide was extremely difficult to understand throughout most of the very short tour, which made it hard to follow explanations or enjoy the experience In addition, the food portions and selections were very limited considering the price we paid. They were cheap pieces of bread for about six dollars US Singapore dollars and we were informed that if we wanted better food that would be extra. We received only a few few small bites mostly bread items and several inexpensive items costing around six dollars Singapore each Because of these issues, the tour did not provide the quality or value that was advertise or expected for a private experience at this point I am requesting a partial refund to fairly reflect the disappointing experience. Thank you for your attention and I look forward to your response. If they refuse Escalate through TripAdvisor customer support Mention Service not as described Keep the tone, calm and factual Request a charge back through the credit card company I am writing regarding the private tour book through TripAdvisor on May 15 which cost over 300 Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing and did not match the quality expected nor the advertised for a Premium private tour Public TripAdvisor review Very disappointing experience for the price we paid. Over $300 for private food tour, which was billed as “Award Winning”. We expected high-quality experience, unfortunately the guide was extremely difficult to understand, was not knowledgeable, which made most of the tour frustrating and hard to follow the food. We had food from sad little stalls from which no one else was purchasing, bread, some tortilla like thing, and more bread. Portions and selections were also surprisingly minimal for the cost. The three we had ( some were closed, so we didn’t get those) mostly bread items and a few inexpensive snacks around 6SGD each. We were told we could have better food, but it would cost us extra. Like the transportation to the other markets that we also paid. What does $300 buy you with this tour? Aggravation and hunger. We finally said enough. The tour guide was mumbling about how you can buy anything in the market. Ok, great, we were hoping for an experience like others had, good food and insider guide to the Hawkers food stall. Not At All. The experience was laughably bad, except we wasted our afternoon and over $300. This tour was falsely advertised very poor value for the money. I’ve requested a refund. Steer clear! There is a reason why there is last minute availability here.
Marcus Yeo was an informative and engaging tour guide! I had so much fun with him and the rest of the group. From the very beginning, could tell that he was very passionate about the local culture and food scene which translated to his patience in explaining at each stop. I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a fun, delicious, and insightful way to explore the city’s food culture.
Arthur gave us an absolutely superb history of Singapore and how it shaped all the ethic communities that moved here and brought their broad spectrum of culinary choices. History shaped what was available to prepare. By going from Arab, to Indian, to Chinese to experience a world class night!
This is a must do activity in Singapore. Our guide was Arthur. The food tasting was very well planned out. We started out in an area of the city which was rich with history and Arthur went over that history which provided a backdrop of what we were to eat on the tour. We had several items in the Arab section and then moved to Little India. After that we moved to Chinatown. With the exception of Singapore’s famed chicken and rice dish, all of the items we tasted were items we would never have ordered on our own which was an experience. There were many different taste bombs that exploded in your mouth. Let Arthur guide you to a culinary experience in Singapore. It will be one of your favorite activities.
Highly recommend. We have visited Singapore before but were travelling with friends that have dietary restrictions and our guide was able to organize food that we all enjoyed. What a fun, delicious and informative afternoon we spent with Marcus. He gave us a great history of the food, culture and history of Singapore. We enjoyed the diverse cultural Hawker Centers and learned so much.
We had an authentic Singaporean food experience. Author taught us about the history and offered us an opportunity to taste the unique flavors of Singaporean foods. He made sure we were comfortable despite the hot weather. We tried foods that we normally would have not known To order. This was a great experience for any foodie. We were full 1/2 way thru the tour. But YOLO.
this is what street food singapore is all about. we went to places that we would never have been and tried food that we would never have tried otherwise. our guide Markus was very professional and made the experience great
This tour is equal food and sights. It was informative, and covered Malaysia district, Chinatown and Little Indian. The train ride is a highlight and there is time to grab souvenirs. Most special is the last stop for chicken rice and one of the best spring rolls we’ve ever tasted.
We have the most interesting and awesome food tour with guide Marcus He gives us so much fun and interesting history of Singapore the food he gives us It was the best not only 10 types of food and drinks beer too satay.,fry dumplings was the best we love this tour very much Thanks Marcus making this tour so interesting.
Roy gave us a wonderful tour of Singapore street food and history and culture. We were so impressed. He adjusted for our tastes and we were more than full at the end. I would not know how to approach the food stalls comfortably and was so nice to have a guide. Recommend early in the trip so you can enjoy more food and suggestions for the rest of the trip. Thank you Roy!
Marcus was fantastic! Knowledgeable about the food as well as the culture. We have been to Singapore 4 times and saw places we didn’t even know existed. Well worth this tour! I highly recommend
We have been on quite a few food tours around the world, and this is probably the best one! First of all the three different cultures of food and the areas that they are located in are so diverse. The food in all 3 areas was delicious and plentiful! For those of you who do food tours like we do, you know that it’s much more than just the food. It’s learning about the culture, the history and the area, and this tour was no exception to that. It was truly a feast for all our senses. Our guide, Chingman, was so great at explaining everything, and filling us with all the knowledge we desired. Do yourself a favor and book this tour!.
Wow, I can’t begin to describe how much we enjoyed this tour. First of all the food in all the three different areas was so good and so different. We enjoyed the last stop at Chinatown so much that we went back there the next day to have it again. Our guide, Chingman, was so great at guiding us through the different areas and explain the history of Singapore and all the different cultures! The food was plenty full at all three different areas and definitely more than enough food for us to enjoy. I definitely recommend this tour! Is much more than food it is an experience for all of your senses!
Amazing experience!!! Come hungry for delicious food! Our guide is extremely knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the history and cultures that make Singapore the vibrant city and country that it is today!
Stephan did an amazing job! We learned some history of Singapore and the multi ethnic integration of the country while enjoying unique cultural dishes.
Marcus was very engaging and gave a great overall history of Singapore. We covered a lot of territory both historically and physically as we ate through 3 cultures. Many photo ops which Marcus kindly took advantage of as there were 5 of us. Plenty of food, almost too much, so consider this as dinner. We also enjoyed taking the metro, which was a pleasant experience even at rush hour. We all agreed we would recommend this tour and enjoyed all the sights and sounds.
Brilliant guide, great food, three culturally different areas of Singapore, guided advice on how to use the MRT if it’s your first time, information about the city state itself, plus lots of witty comments and nice conversation. William is a charming funny man who ensures his guests have a superb experience!
This was a perfect tour, with an exceptional guide, John Tan, for our first afternoon in Singapore after arriving in the morning from the US. Our affable guide was very knowledgeable not only about the food, history and cultures of Singapore but of history and politics of the world. Thank you, John!
It was a great tour. Not only did we have delicious food we learnt so much about the area of Singapore the tour took place in. Chingmeng was an excellent guide and very knowledgeable. I would thoroughly recommend this tour.
We our family really have a great day 3hr Tour with our guide Marcus Yeo is awesome guide? He is very incredibly informative History, Singapore Subway MRT"How to travel around in the city, Ticket is provided by him the food Marcus give us was the Best all in Michelin star food!!!he even make it tropical fruit and Singapore local make Beer if you asked me Is this tour worth for Money? 100%yes .No regrets,But you must look for the right guide"Marcus Yeo "
We had a great experience traveling to various culinary regions of Singapore. Tend Ching Meng and Darren were great host/guides for our tour. Great tastes of the region and a sufficient amount of tastings to fill us.
Marcus covers it all in this three-hour food tour. While food is a guiding theme, Marcus offers interesting historical, architectural, ethnic and cultural insights. For example, he pointed out that the central Mosque, home to Singapore’s abstinent Muslims, is partially made from beer bottles! Then, bringing us into private restaurants as well as Hawking Centers with Michelin Star offerings, he arranged for us to enjoy delicious dishes that we surely would not have known to try. In addition, Marcus transported us via the sleek, modern subway system and gave us a full understanding about underground travel in the Lion City. On a personal note, after a day of siteseeing we told Marcus that we wanted to get foot massages, and he escorted us to his recommended locale, where we had great 1-hour foot massages for Sing $25 each. A fantastic way to end out siteseeing day! I strongly recommend you spend an afternoon with Marcus. (Note: don’t make the mistake that I did and eat too much in the first restaurant stop—leave lots of room for the great food tour follow).
We are so grateful to have met Ngoh on our first trip in Singapore. He was an amazing guide who helped us get a taste of Malaysian food, Indian food, and Chinese food. Additionally he was very personable and we had such wonderful conversations with him during our tour. We would highly recommend this experience if you have half a day to spend in Singapore!
The food was similar at each venue The guide ordered the food without any input from us The guide was not engaged with us and seemed bored
We met our host in Chinatown during the Chinese new year celebration which made the experience more memorable. Mr William took us to 3 special restaurants to sample Chinese, Indian and Malay food. He was very kind and patient with us and shared his interesting heritage and his pride in his country. We got around on the clean fast orderly metro trains. Mr W directed us to restrooms as needed, knowing which ones were cleaner or didn’t have a charge. He even called us a Grab car (like Uber) at a very busy time to get back to the hotel on time where we then enjoyed our first Singapore sling! I would highly recommend this tour and especially this guide if you want to explore different foods in Singapore.
Ron was fantastic. The tour went far beyond just hawker food: he wove in Singapore’s history, culture, and everyday life in a way that made everything feel connected. His knowledge and perspective enriched our entire trip.
Our thanks to Stephan for organizing our food tour around Lunar New Year. You engaged the history of the people, the religions, and foods along each of our stops. We visited street market stalls, hawker centers in Little India, and a vibrant, bustling Chinatown readying for the New Year. The use of the MRT was easy with your guidance. We recommend this tour for a ‘taste’ of Singapore!
Very knowledgeable and passionate local guide!
This tour involves a tremendous amount of walking. Rather than a tasting tour, it is a history tour of the three sections of the city in Singapore. William, our guide was excellent in his historical presentations however, we walked from one section into another and then had to take a subway, at our own expense, to Chinatown. Although we did taste food from the different sections, I would not recommend this tour for senior adults. Additionally, we had to meet downtown and get our own transportation back to our hotel.
We took the Singapore food tour with JonXu, and we highly recommend him! He is knowledgeable, engaging, and very prepared and efficient. This tour is the best way to get to know Singapore, in my opinion. JonXu took us to the Malay, Indian, and Chinese districts for a very generous amount of food tastings (we lost track how many) and a great overview of the history and daily life.
We had a fantastic time on this tour. Jack was friendly, knowledgeable and went out of his way to show us the food highlights plus more throughout the tour. He is energetic and enthusiastic about making sure we enjoyed the entire tour while demonstrating the diversity of food in each of the 3 neighbourhoods we visited. Definitely would book the tour again next time in Singapore!
Excellent tour with many interesting food and historical and contemporary bits about Singapore along the way. Highly recommended.
We had a fabulous food tour with Royston. He took us around the three districts to sample a huge variety of food and drink, while taking into account our dietry requirements. We would not have known where to start on our own and would have felt quite intimidated so it was fantastic to go around with Royston who had so much local knowledge. It was so much more than just a food tour as we learnt so much about the different areas. He also took time to advise us on attractions for the remainder of our holiday. We would highly recommend this trip, thank you Royston!
We enjoyed our time spent with Ron. We spent 2 hours and 20 minutes of a 3 hour tour on the beginning part of our tour in the Maylay part of town (also called “Arabic Town”). This part was excellent, and the excessive (?) time spent could be because we asked too many questions. Because of that our time in India Town was extremely short. Ron redeemed himself in. Chinatown where he stayed well past the tour end time. Overall we enjoyed the tour.
Stefan went out of his way to accommodate our food allergies. We had a great time and left very full.
