Too big, for everything to see it is hard, I spent 5 hours. Thanks for cleaning team and restaurant worker, I asked them a lot about directions. Also duty free is sooooooe expensive.

Beautiful waterfall in the middle of the airport. You can experience it on many levels of the airport building terminal 1. Worth walking over to see it - but do this before you cross o er into customs.
The Changi Airport in Singapore was exceptional. Very modern, numerous stores and restaurants, and very well laid out. In between terminals you will find "The Jewel", a waterfall coming from the rooftop. This was a very well done feature, and is really a "must see". The entire area is filled with trees and plants, giving a tropical vibe. The waterfall itself is pretty amazing. Make a point to check it out in your travels!
Today at 22 march 2026. I transfer on the changi airport terminal 1. On level 1 around jewel, I was looking 2 white people sleep and sit on long sofa. And after that join some chinese people also indian girl too.. they're all just sleeping and sitting there, so me and my family as chinese indonesian join at that long sofa.. but fast forward at 1.30 am (sorry but not meant to be racist) an fat indian security woman tell me and my family if we can't sleep and sit there.. even though i and some chinese people was sleeping, she wake us up and chase we away with saying that we couldn't sleep and sit there.. but when we start to stand up and go from that area, i saw that she didn't wake up an indian girl and didn't chase away that 2 white people. That security just chase away me and my family and some people looks chinese on there. Only force someone who looks chinese to go away, but not with the indian girl and the wester guys. I think that so bad if in your worker in changi has a racist. Considering that Changi is a transfer point for many races. Please check the personality if you recruiting employee
With a waterfall, light shows and a world class mall the Singapore airport is a destination in itself. It also has excellent duty free, security and restaurants.
The Jewel connects all 3 terminals and features a world class water feature along with it housing a modern shopping mall. First time I've ever gone to an airport 8 hours before my flight, thankfully singapore airlines let you check bags in early so we could explore the airport sans luggage
what a lovely place to kill time at the airport between flights. This is unique, the central water fall is so calming to watch. SO much to do
We took a taxi to the Jewel Changi airport at Terminal 1 as our flight was leaving from another terminal the next day. I did not want to carry luggage with me. Who would of thought that an airport would be a tourist attraction! We spent half a day there browsing the shops and food outlets. There are paid attractions, but we did not try them. Also went on the Skytrain to the other terminals. Worth a visit on a rainy day.
We made a specific trip out to visit as we'd come into Singapore very late in evening and would be heading out very early. Caught the MRT out there and then made our way into the Jewell shopping area . The waterfall was really wowable, be prepared to fight your way around - so many visitors. Then we made our way right up to the top. The Maze would be great fun for the kids as well as all the other activities - nets etc. Views up high looking at the waterfall are amazing and it is well worth a visit. Be ware of overpriced eateries, but we had shared plates which kept costs down
Absolutely beautiful. The only reason it doesnt get my 5 stars is because unfortunately when we visited it was not in operation due to maintenance taking place. I can only imagine how much more beautiful it would be
A huge shopping centre with a massive water vortex waterfall in the centre situated at Changi airport. It’s a tourist attraction in itself with people visiting for the stunning vortex alone. Good by day and even better by night. There is a walkway you can pay extra to go on which doesn’t cost too much and gets you closer. It’s an easy ride on the MRT from the city with just one change if you take the green east west line.
Where do I start? I have been to 87 countries and more airports than I care to remember. I have never, and I mean EVER seen anything like this. It’s closer to T3 than T2. Be prepared for a long walk if you are in T2. Once you’re there, take your time, explore everything. Take note: The Jewel is located outside departures. If you go through ticketing into the departure lounges, you will not be able to access The Jewel.
Nice, clean, organized and very “singapore” ! Worth a visit during a longer layover if ya have the time! Immigration is super functional and impressive.
Jewel Changi is not just an airport, it's an amazing experience for sure...imagine being at an airport with a multi story mall, with high-end shopping, variety of other stores, restaurants, attraction parks for all ages (for a fee) a cinema and more. But the main attraction to the airport on arrival, departure or a long layover is the Waterfall Vortex feature in Terminal 2...which can also be seen via a connecting bridge or train transfer to the other terminals....free to everyone who visits the airport with a nightly light show....I saw firsthand why it is the world's number one airport.
This airport will take your breath away! There is so much to do, see and experience. Easy to make your way around. Use the monorail, see the water feature, go to the movies, go swimming, eat until you can eat no more!
Advertised as closing 22:00, but when I attended at 20:45 both the park and bridge were already closed. Had made time between checking in baggage and boarding so both tickets went unused due to the early closure. Not a major deal and managed to cage a limited view from the shopping area
Very unusual circular mall with interesting feature in the middle. Lots of options to eat and shop, as well as a movie theater. Was a great way to pass time while having a long layover.
The Jewel lived up beyond expectations. Walking on the net was mind blowing experience. Changi airport was on my daughter’s wishlist for sometime & i am so glad i made this happen. It just amazing how an airport terminal is turned into a tourist spot with so many fun activities & shopping mall.
Great airport. Shops sold very fihe, but expensive items as souvenirs. The staff were friendly and served up delicious food at the food court. Definitely the best stopover airport!
We went to Changi today to leave and the Jewel isn’t operating all day. Apparently only certain hours of the day which meant we couldn’t see it at all! For such an iconic moment the airport needs to ensure it’s operational all the time while flights are operation.
Really nice airport with real plants. Might I say one of the best in the world. The artificial waterfall is really calming, there are places to sit as well and just take in the view.
The view from the canopy bridge was great. The waterfall was amazing from all angles. The glass floor on the canopy bridge was fun and the overall experience was exciting
Clever and wonderful way to distract you from the normal airport hustle and bustle. As a travel professional, I have rarely found much at an airport to calm me but the Jewel Changi Airport was really captivating and interesting. A great attraction that was both soothing, artistic and a love more interesting than shopping in Duty Free. Definitely make the time to go check it out.
Jewel adjoining Changi airport. We planned as follows: Hotel check out : 1100 hrs & Late evening flight So, after hotel check out, we did ECI for SQ; so check in bags were gone. For cabin bags, there is baggage counter. Charges were 11 USD fr 24hrs. Now, one is hands free to explore Jewel. Vortex indoor waterfall. Canopy Park ; paid entry js worth the price + time well spent.
One of a kind, connected to the best airport in the world. Highly recommended to all while visiting Singapore, must try the mirror maze and bridge walk for enhanced experience. Recommend to keep your luggage in the baggage room before reaching the jewel mall for comfort.
More like a sci-fi future world than an airport terminal mall. Makes the UK feel like the third world country it is fast becoming.
Very crowded with lots of people, enjoyed walking around. The water features wecreally nice. I didn't go out of my eay as too many people to really enjoy
Super clean, modern and comfortable. So much to see and do. Plenty of restaurants and shops. Terminal one is easily accessed.
We were able to see all of the Jewell without paying entry. The extra cost was really for a children’s wonderland on level 5.
Friendly people, English speaking mostly. The best bit apart from the sights is the cleanliness. Easy transport system
Singapore's Jewel Changi Airport is a dazzling masterpiece that seamlessly blends nature with modernity, offering travelers an unforgettable experience. Here's a simple review: Jewel Changi Airport is an architectural marvel and a testament to Singapore's commitment to innovation and sustainability. Its centerpiece, the Rain Vortex, is the world's tallest indoor waterfall, standing at a breathtaking height of 40 meters. The waterfall creates a mesmerizing spectacle, especially when illuminated at night. One of the highlights of Jewel is its lush indoor garden, the Shiseido Forest Valley, which features thousands of trees, plants, and winding walking trails. It provides a tranquil oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of the airport, allowing travelers to relax and rejuvenate before or after their flights. The array of retail outlets and dining options is another standout feature of Jewel. From luxury boutiques to local eateries, there's something to suit every taste and budget. Visitors can indulge in a shopping spree or savor delicious cuisine from around the world, making their layovers a delightful experience. For families with children, the Canopy Park offers a range of interactive attractions, including mazes, slides, and a bouncing net. It's a perfect spot for kids to burn off energy and have fun while waiting for their next flight. Overall, Jewel Changi Airport is more than just a transit hub—it's a destination in itself. Whether you're a frequent traveler or a first-time visitor to Singapore, a visit to Jewel is a must-do experience that will leave you in awe of its beauty and functionality.
Jewel is an engineering marvel. You got to experience it when going to Singapore. It's one of the most iconic places in SG. The country maybe mostly concrete jungle but it is rich in culture and history. It has diverse set of people living in the area. 😻❤️
Amazing! We viewed the waterfall from many different levels, and it was worth the trouble of going up and down because it looks so different from different vantage points. Loved the experience of being in a lush tropical rain forest, too.
We had looked forward to landing in Singapore Airport due to all the mentions of it - so the expectations were high ... But the airport is just huge, not great. And 'the Jewel' with the famous waterfall is just a part of just another mall in Singapore. Yeah, we suppose you want to see it, and you can do that very quickly.
Top Level Feature - it changes colours and is best at night-time to watch. It can be seen on arrival from T1 and the levels of shops and restaurants that encircle it for multi-level viewing.
Couldn't open viator site to get tickets. They wouldn't accept printed tickets. Viator site to difficult. Won't use viator again. Had to pay more money in Singapore to use jewel. LS
Spent a couple hours here before heading to our hotel. Time well spent-beautiful mall attached to the airport and, if needed, there's a free shuttle to take you from any Termianl to the Mall. Beautiful waterfall area! Nice to see lots of other folks with their luggage walking through the airport mall.
Introduce Jewel changi to my beloved husband We like the decoration, I was visit after Deepavali, some decoration still got Deepavali theme and start with Chrismas theme. I always amaze with their secoration, we took a lot of pictures. The place is clean and good maintenance, comfortable to spend time with my husband ❤❤
Absolutely beautiful airport. Must take the time to visit all that you can. Don't miss out on the free visit of the city. I missed it because bad indication in airport. Got to the booth too late. Very sad. I want to stop at this airport again on a next trip on my way to Asia. Someone also told me about a pool you can go to while lay over. Never saw that either. Like I said, very bad indication in the airport.
What a fantastic place to visit. The central waterfall is spectacular and there are so many excellent spots to experience your visit. A must see when in Changi airport.
No Stress at this airport. The Jewel is a gigantic circular waterfall feature falling from the sky to below it a spectacular tropical garden in the middle of Singapores magnificent airport not just a feature but a destination day out for shopping locals with every conceivable shop coffee house and restaurant you cold desire. I’ve said it before but the pride Singaporeans have in there country and surrounding is 100% justified. To marks to the governments programme and ability to maintain not just build and forget.
I love it! The airport was so big! We all loved the great experience. Best Airport in the WORLD! I Would go there again.
It is free to see the waterfall at the jewel and definitely worth visiting if you have an hour or so spare at the airport. After checking our bags in it was an easy walk from terminal 3 to 1. The waterfall is turned on from 11AM and it's worth checking it out from all the different levels.
Wondering feeling just like you walked into a forest! Have to appreciate the architect for this brilliant idea and how is being maintained. A must visit and suggest to sit sometime there you will sure be relaxed.
Not cheap, but worth it--once: A glass walkway-- high above the Jewel base, cost around $10USD/person. It's only around 20meters long (corrections welcome), but it offers breathtaking (literally and figuratively) views and photo-ops. In an attached photo, the object between my feet is a large (20 feet/6meter) Mickey Mouse statue. The information/opinion bellow is well documented, but worth repeating. A layover of 5+ hours is plenty to eat a meal, shop and enjoy the falls and garden. 3-5hrs is adequate to grab a quick bite and snap some photos. Less than three hours? Stay on air side and take photos from the inter-terminal air-train as it passes through (but does not stop in) the Jewel. As the Jewel is on the land side of the airport, you have pass through customs and enter Singapore. The process can take up to one hour. Completion of the SG Arrival card is required prior to entry; details are easily found elsewhere. *Answer the questions carefully. On the SG electronic questionnaire, I accidentally checked that my 8yr old had been to the Middle East... it took nearly an hour to clear up. Returning to air side is much faster. Showing/scanning passport and boarding pass, followed by posing for a photo (for comparison to the scanned passport) takes just 1-2 minutes per person. At Changi, the security checkpoints are at the gates, shortening the process even more.
Located at Singapore Changi Airport is the Jewel which is like another terminal. There is extensive shopping and restaurants centred around a massive dome. In the middle is the impressive Rain Vortex and Sheisado Forest. There are plenty of activities including elevated walks and you can spend a couple of hours here and feel like you are well away from an airport.
Our second time in Changi and it was just wondaful. If you got time, there is the jewel and the mall. Self check in luggage drop off was a breeze and the whole airport is just spectacular, with many attractions inside the terminal.
Fantasctic airport ... well... is more like a mall ... you get virtually anything possible in Jewel as if a normal mall maybe more as they got so much food stall variety than most mall can offer... worth while to visit if you got some time layover in Changi Airport. Just need to watch out the time require from jewel to your departure gate, because changi airport is quite big.
Be careful when buying a Sim card from Changi Airport Do not buy from Changi Recommends ( information) as they rip tourists off Asked for a Sim card for 4 days - was told will be $50Sin Questioned the price and was told all the others shops are the same price I know from a previous visit this is not true Look for Telco Kiosks and not the information booth out of Terminal 2 - Immigration doors
This is the best shopping mall I have ever seen attached to the airport. It is not only a shopping mall but also a leisure and entertainment destination for travellers and others. You can enjoy it while waiting for your flight or waiting for someone to pick up from the airport. You can store your luggage ( with a fee of around 10 Singapore dollars) per bag, while you enjoy the surroundings in the mall
