A good tour worth while to get a feel for how the battle for Singapore played out. Visit to the military cemetery and Changi prison museum add extra value. Given the development of Singapore you can't visit the actual battlefields.

Really great tour with a very knowledgable guide. Definitely recommend this if you are interested in WWII though would also suggest visiting Fort Canning.
Great experience. Our guide Paul was very friendly and knowledgeable about all things Singapore- including the WW2 history. He was happy to answer questions, and didn’t rush us at all. Our group had o my 4 participants, we travelled in an air conditioned minibus between the locations. A bottle of water was provided, and toilets identified when required. I would happily recommend this tour to others. My only suggestions would be to identify the meeting place within the Paradox hotel & better clarification on the meeting time ( we were given three different times).
Tuesday the 15th September guide was a wonderful man and very informative very enjoyable trip thankyou
An excellent tour packed with relevant information and our guide was clearly passionate about the subject.
Great tour. Guide was knowledgeable and gave plenty of time to absorb everything. A great day. Would recommend.
If you want to understand the real heartbeat of Singapore beyond the modern skyline, you have to do this tour. It was an absolutely incredible experience. We learned so much more about the country’s wartime history than we ever could have on our own. Our guide, Paul, was fantastic. His depth of knowledge was amazing, but what truly elevated the day was his immense pride in his country—it shone through in every story he told. He didn't just give us facts; he made the history feel alive. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute and cannot recommend Paul and this tour highly enough to any traveler!
It is great for those who are interested in historical events. Would recommend this to anyone to take.
This was an amazing and deeply emotional experience. The tour offers a powerful insight into the lives and struggles of those held here, and it really stays with you long after you leave. The guide was excellent, knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about sharing the history in a meaningful way.
Not as interesting as the title of the tour sounds. The one hour ride in an air conditioned bus to the Commonwealth War Graves was great but the guide , who was super friendly, spoke so quickly it was hard for us to keep tuned in. He gave a stream of historical dates and facts that after a while was just too much to take in. The graves themselves were poignant. The visit to the Changi Museum on the way back was excellent but you could just get a car to there. Stopping at a sea side site on the way back was rather pointless. Also we finished an hour late and that meant we had to really rush to our next appointment.
This tour was very interesting and informative. We like to think that war cannot happen to us but current events show it can happen anywhere anytime. Keeping alive the memory of the sacrifices made by those who fought in WWII to keep us free helps to avoid another war. Our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful.
This was a great tour. Pick up was efficient and well organised. Th tour itself was very interesting and sobering at the same time! Sadly, I can’t remember our guides name but he was great - friendly and certainly knew his subject.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and we had a great time learning more of the history of WW2. Highly recommend this tour
Guide was very knowledgeable and experienced. Tour covered a lot of ground. More than we expected Value for money
Books this tour during a five day layover in Singapore. Very interested in military history of region. Efficient pickup from hotel and main bus was modern and clean. Van back to hotel at end of tour sounded like it was falling apart and driver clearly unwell but had mask under chin. Lots of driving on tour. Australian cemetery very confronting with number of graves. Changi museum was a little underwhelming. It would be very hard to get to these various sites using public transport or driving yourself so your probably your best option but I would not have done this tour if I knew how much time we were to spend in the bus.
Great afternoon, if a little un organised with buses being late to show up and to arrive to take us back to the hotel.Guide very informative! Well worth doing this trip if you get chance. :)
Tour insightful, and solemn as i had been to fort canning in the morning and toured the battle box. so this was a great follow up guide very knowledgeable and most enthusiastic, he just imparted just too much information at once.
The guide wasn’t easy to understand & he kept laughing inappropriately after every comment he made. He was friendly enough, but his false continual laughing made the experience frustrating & irritating to say the least. Especially as he laughed at serious & solemn topics. More dignity & less laughter After every sentence would be so much better
The tour was knowledgeable but it took too long due to the lack of coaches firstly at the start waiting for another coach to arrive and at the end when there was only one coach available at the end and it took over thirty minutes for a coach to arrive to take us back to our hotels Our three and a half hour tour went for more than 5 hours
Very enjoyable and informative. Highly recommend learning about this important history. Our guide was exceptional and very knowledgeable.
Very informative about an important point in history and for humanity. Our guide was so knowledgeable and keen to keep the moment alive.
There is not a lot of walking but Kranji is on a hill and a few steps leading into it. Worth the journey. Our guide was informative but needs to provide more time to explore instead of talking. Most people on tour were older and it was a small group not sure why we needed a double decker, 80 seater bus. Climbing up and down stairs was tough for fit people. Tour would be better conducted in morning when cooler. Changi Chapel was excellent but because the bus was to big and could not get into the car park we had to cross a very busy road. Changi Beach was lovely but had a horrific past. The tour is a great reminder of the sacrifice and futility of war. Overall a good tour and well conducted it is a pity it is becoming less popular.
The tour guide had great knowledge of Singapore from 1942 onwards and made the tour highly enjoyable.
Trip started an hour late and time spent at two main locations was too short. Not having the Former Ford Factory included was an error
brilliant tour collection from our hotel great value our guide Paul was brilliant told us everything about the conflict in ww2
Our guide Siwa had an encyclopedic knowledge about the military history of Singapore. He impressed us with many interesting facts and we learned a lot. This tour is great!
A really great tour conducted by a guide who was clearly interested in his subject. Emhanced by stories he was able to recant from people who has loat lived ones and were visiting. Well worth going on a conducted tour just for that
Singapore Battlefield tour is an excellent way to visit the Kranji Cemetery, the principal cemetery and memorial to allied forces in Singapore and Malaya and Changi prison, museum where thousands were imprisoned and Changi beach where thousands were shot. The tour was well organized, transportation was very comfortable and our guide very knowledgeable about the war and Singapore’s society today. For an in depth overview of the conduct to the defense of Singapore I recommend visiting the Former Ford Factory and Battlebox.
Really enjoyed this trip as I love WWII history. The guide was very knowledgeable and I feel the trip was well worth the money
Very interesting day was great to see the history of the war time in Singapore guide was great very informative well worth doing
Wonderfully interesting. Our guide knew Absolutly everything and has great answers to our questions. A great afternoon.
We had to make our own way to meet rest of group. No probs though. Bus took us out to Kranji Memorial- he was so informative and allowed us time to wander through the different headstone sections. There was no bias in his information, it was very illuminating. Then onto Changi and a quick stop outside the Prison and more information explaining what sections are more modern, then the Replica Changi Chapel - again inspiring, with a good range of history books to buy. Onto Changi Beach, then a drive back through Singapore evening rush hr - that was also great fun seeing rush hr from a different perspective
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour and our guide Tan is very knowledgeable. It was more than a war history tour. We learnt a lot about Singapore's military and saw areas that we would definitely have not found on our own. I think it's important to pass this history on to younger generations and hope that it is not lost. We highly recommend this tour.
It was a good tour, but a little bit long. There was one glitch; we arrived at the pick up point and the bus to pick us up was not there. It turned out that because of heavy traffic the driver could not park but did arrive about 10 minutes late. When the driver was not there on time we telephoned the number given on the website and the person who answer asked why we were calling because they said they have nothing to do with the tour or Viator.
A very informative tour for those wanting to find out more about what happened in Singapore during WW2. The guide was very knowledgeable. Very in-depth details at the sites visited, the Commonwealth War Graves, Changi Museum and Changi Beach. Having some prior knowledge and interest of war in the Pacific was beneficial to us, but the tour would also be good for those with little knowledge and wanting to find out more. Both my husband and I did find the guide difficult to understand in the beginning but this certainly improved as the tour went on.
Guide was a wealth of knowledge Explained everything confidently We came away with a much higher understanding of what took place
The tour was fine. The tour guides accent was very difficult to understand. He spoke too quickly and constantly to the point that people stopped listening. The pick up, drop off and time management was appalling. The pick up was late, we ran well overtime at each location and the drop off took and hour and a half. The tour guide had the bus driver drop off people he knew to a different location that took even longer. The tour guide himself, got off the bus and took a taxi back. AMAZINGLY POOR FORM. We were subsequently 2 hours late getting back and missed our prepaid evening dinner and entertainment. I recommend the tour, BUT NOT WITH THIS COMPANY!
Incredibly fascinating and somber tour of what Singapore went through during the Japanese invasion and occupation. I stood over the grave of Sister Mavis Jones, a nurse, killed at 24 years. Poignant. As I’m a nurse.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and informative. Areas covered were of great historical importance. Highly recommended.
Very knowledgeable guide, visiting very somber places, that have so much sad history, that we need to honour and learn from. Highly recommend
Very informative guide and tour about the fall of Singapoe and occupation in WW2. Kranji war cemetery and the Changi museum and chapel very moving
a guide who has been doing the tour for 25 years and has a wealth of knowledge to support it. he knows why he continues to do the route and shares this and other insights with the guests. moving and relevant historical details of Singapore under occupation. an immersive and well-spent afternoon.
Our guide Siwa was very knowledgeable and spoke with passion for the whole trip without notes. The memorials were immaculately maintained and laid out respectfully.
the tour guide provided what was sought, a clear explanation of events many years ago, with insights not prior know. Delivered brilliantly.
This tour was great, the guide was very knowledgeable & able to answer all our questions. It made it so easy being on an air conditioned bus to get to all the stops that aren’t as easy to get to on public transport. Well worth doing.
Small group tour and very interesting. Our guide had a lot of local and historical knowledge. It included a very poignant visit to Kranji war cemetery.
Very moving tour and worth a visit. Guide was very informative. Kranji War Memorial and Changi Museum certainly great part of tour.
The guide was very knowledgeable, we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The instructions we received about the tour, pick up at hotel were good.
Our tour of the Singapore Battlefields was excellent. Our tour guide was very friendly, professional and informative. Every aspect of the battlefields and War cemetery were explained in detail and we had ample time to view these sites at our leisure. The Highlights for us were the Singapore War Cemetery and Changi Chapel and Memorial.
Very interesting. Our guide Paul was very informative and went to great lengths to give us a feel of the history on the battles of Singapore. He explained the different areas of the soldiers graveyard and the meanings / writings on the headstones. It is a beautifully kept graveyard.
