My partner and I really enjoyed this kayaking trip exploring Pilau Ubin, it was a bit of an adventure getting there from the main touristy area but we got to see some of the island on the way and had no issues at all with the ferry. The kayaking itself was great fun, the tour guide was entertaining and friendly. We saw an otter and some eagles with 2m wingspans! It was a good workout but there was also the option to have the guide pull you along a bit if you got too tired or have kids so don't worry! Make sure you have time for a wee nap after this activity.

This was a fantastic experience - we oearnt so much about Pulao Ubin and saw so many beautiful mangroves. It was such a friendly and fun tour , we would definitely do it again. It was such a unique experience and offered a side of Singapore worth exploring.
A really fun and educative morning! Nice to leave the city behind and the manh day trippers on Pulau Ubin too! We learned a lot about mangroves and many ogher thjngs Singapore.
Seeing wildlife, having a single kayak, guide's knowledge and friendly relaxed manner, the quarry and mangrove reflections in the water plus distance travelled. Only downside was the amount of rubbish was shocking.
We enjoyed the tour and mangrooves. Our guide was very informative and helpful . We got caught in a terrible rain storm so had to take shelter in the mangrooves area and our kids really liked that added bonus. The palau island is EXTREMELY DIRTY and the water is also EXTREMELY DIRTY. Dead fish everywhere and terrible
Overall it's a great experience. But the downside is that it ended 1.5 hours earlier than expected. Shall try out the mangrove kayaking the next time round.
We had a awesome guide who's very experienced & knowledgable. We learnt alot while kayaking with him!
Awesome morning out! Our guide Sheng Min was extremely friendly and very passionate. We really learned a lot about the surroundings of Pulau Ubin and also got in a bit of a workout and some sun. She was also very understanding towards some special needs of people in our group. 5 Stars for the programme and 5 Stars to Sheng min!
Great morning out! We had a terrific, informative, friendly guide who told us about the fisheries and mangrove swamps.
It was a fun and relaxing little tour. the tour guide syafiq was very friendly and easy to talk to, he is also knowledgable and was flexible to make tweaks to his original program because the paddlers were all rather proficient, we got to paddle right next among the mangrove trees between the shallow sections. it was interesting to learn about the different type of kelongs as well as the type of wildlife that can be found in singapore. In all a very enjoyable tour.
A relaxing and enjoyable trip where we learnt so much about Pulau Ubin and also the surrounding kelongs / fish farms and nature. Would be wonderful if it was less pricey.
We learnt lots of new things about mangrove and pualu Ubin! Ros was approachable yet firm to the youths, and that was just what they needed. 😊I looked forward to another trip with your esteemed company. Thanks for the wonderful experience!
Shahril provided an awesome tour bringing us around in our kayaks. Good activity to do somewhere quiet and peaceful.
This was more than a kayaking trip, we learned so much about the wildlife and the mangrove from Brenda, our awesome guide who was so passionate! An absolute enjoyable time away from the city being in the waters & coming close to nature! Would definitely recommend!
It was an absolutely great time out at the sea and away from the city for a change. Grateful for a guide who is passionate about the environment, and shared with us plenty about the habitat and nature around ubin. Will definitely recommend
Thank you for a fantasitc adventure. Our family of 5 and friends spent a fun few hours kayaking around Palau Ubin. Loved seeing the island from the Sea. Lovely guide. Only complaint was getting the Kayaks to and from the ocean. They are really heavy.
Kenneth is a wonderful guide with lots of knowledge on the mangrove and the habitat. Our kayaking experience was very enjoyable, will definitely recommend!
I had an excellent time with my friends and our instructor, Kenneth. It was a birthday treat for a friend and its certainly memorable. Its my second kayaking session with Adventure Asian Detours and I will be back for more!
We did a short (2hr) loop around Pulau Ketam with Isaac, who was an excellent guide and pointed out interesting man-made and natural features. We will definitely use this company again, as they were safe and efficient and we didn't feel like we were in Singapore. If we have visitors in the near future this is one of the activities we will do with them.
Great day out kayaking! Our guide, Lye, was very patient with the group and constantly checked to make sure everyone was feeling ok and hydrated. He also shared interesting nuggets about Pulau Ubin and the kelongs around the island. Be prepared to get wet though as you will be required to do a flotation test.
Booked the Round Ketam Kayaking Adventure with my friend and it was a great experience to say the least. The tour guide, Alvina, was really friendly and made us feel comfortable. In addition, she taught us the basics of kayaking well. We were fortunate that it was a really good day so we had good views as well. Highly recommended!
We booked a Round Ketam Kayaking trip for the 5 of us. Our guide was Tom, and he was a great guide. First, the kayaking experience was good as we were able to paddle past floating fish garms (or kelongs), and admire the wildlife and fauna in the area. We were able to see herons, Bhramani kites as well as the mangroves in the area. Between Ketam and Ubin, the waters were quite calm, but paddling back against the current was a bit of a challenge.. still we had good weather on the day we went out. Our guide, Tom was great. He was able to quickly bond with the kids, and was also a treasure trove of mangrove ecosystem science and facts. While the kids had learnt about the mangrove system in school, but it was all new to me. The trip left me with a sense of wonder on how perfect the mangrove system is and how it contributes to oxygen to the earth. But being the amateur that I am, my muscles were sore thereafter.
Thanks Kelvin and team for making this Kayak experience a memorable one for my family and I. Felt that not only was it a nice break away from the busy life in the city, there was some pleasant challenges learning how to ore and getting back basics in something outside of our usual comfort zone. With that felt like the guides were very patient and sweet to guide us along. Knowledgable to stop and explain to us some history of the island as well as learn all more about the wild life and nature of the wetlands. I would surely recommend this to anyone interested.
It was so much fun kayaking around the island and being around nature! Our guide was informative and paced us well. We'll be back for more!
Unable to travel out of Singapore due to Covid situation, I was looking for some outdoor adventures in Singapore and away from the city bustle. This kayaking tour was great way to explore Ubin other than the usual cycling activities. We went on weekday and without much crowd we had awesome time kayaking around Ketam Island and exploring the Mangroves habitat. Remember to wear long sleeve and long pants, and apply lots of sunscreen.. Highly recommended tour !
Brilliant scenery, good to be away from main island waves on the sea and mangrove calmness as close to the elemnts as it gets in Singapore very well organised too
Kayaking towards nature, sea, mangrove and around islands is a life experience. Animals when presents make it even more amazing. Thanks to Adventures Asian Detour to give us opportunity to accede to this spectacular moments.
The Kayaking experience was interesting even though the weather was gloomy. I learned some things about the flora and fauna such as the roots and eagles.
The booking of the programme was an easy process, and received prompt attention. I like the concise information kit to prepare for the kayaking day trip. The kayak guide is friendly and approachable, I enjoyed the little information about the kelongs and history of Pulau Ubin. I am particularly happy with the "outdoor" shower cubicle, it gives a good closure to an outdoor activity. Thank you for the good work, I am sure many people who will go through your programme will benefit from it.
Best trip ever! It gave me the opportunity to see the other side to Singapore. The wild and natural side. It was as insightful as it was beautiful. Totally recommended
Very good! Facil was engaging and fun. It was both inspiring and educational, learning more about the ecosystem and the mangrove's crucial role in our society.
Relaxing and refreshing experience to escape the hustle and bustle of the city! It’s great to be able to explore this hidden gem in Singapore that is peaceful. Nice to have the guide to explain about the biodiversity of Pulau Ubin and learn about the importance of mangroves to the natural eco-system. Also friendly for families with young children as we had the joy of parents Kayaking with their children in our group.
Did the trip with my son at 11 years old. The guide Kelvin was super patience and took time to highlight sight in the nature to us.
