Our guide Paul was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Singapore as well as answering our questions about current day living in Singapore. Paul was an amazing guide, taking us to where we wanted to go with charm and grace. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with him and highly recommend him for anyone who wants a great introduction to Singapore.

Itinerary
Discover Singapore through the eyes of a local who knows the city beyond the headlines. This isn’t a rigid tour—it’s a flexible, full-day experience shaped entirely around your interests. Before your tour, your host will send a short questionnaire to get to know your preferences—whether you’re into historic streets, hidden green spaces, architecture, or local subcultures. Here are some of the places you might explore:
Begin your day with sweeping skyline views from Marina Barrage, a rooftop park loved by locals for kite flying, picnics, and peaceful open skies. Perched atop a functioning dam, it’s a sustainability landmark and a serene space where water, nature, and urban life converge.
Step into a vibrant mosaic of Malay, Arab, and Indonesian heritage in Kampong Glam. From the golden dome of Sultan Mosque to colorful murals and textile shops along Arab Street, your host will guide you through this lively cultural district filled with stories and contrasts.
Wander through Tiong Bahru’s art deco buildings, quiet alleys, and community-filled corners. Known for its creative spirit and nostalgic charm, this neighborhood reveals a more intimate, local rhythm of daily life that contrasts beautifully with the city’s modern pace.
Dive into the diverse layers of Chinatown, where traditional medicine halls and ornate temples coexist with bustling markets and hidden clan houses. Your host will help uncover the history and living culture that have shaped this ever-evolving district.
End the day in Fort Canning Park, a lush hilltop full of history and serenity. From colonial landmarks and battle sites to quiet spice gardens, your host will share the layered stories that make this one of Singapore’s most symbolic and tranquil escapes.

On our first full day in Singapore we had the whole day with our guide Adam. He was full of useful information and had a great sense of humour to make the day fun and very enjoyable. Adam took us to a number of sites and we spent time at each one to get a real sense of the history and culture of Singapore. It was a very humid day, Adam said that Singapore was in the middle of a heat wave. He cleverly arranged things so that we were able to cool off occasionally, either on the MRT metro rail service (which is air conditioned and very efficient for getting around) or by visiting air conditioned sites of interest. We had a super day, Adam taking us to so many locations, too many to list here, we just felt that by the end of the day, although we were a little tired, we had really gotten to know Singapore and find our way around. This was of great benefit to us for our remaining 3 days in Singapore. Thank you Adam for being so great with us, and for giving us lots of "fun facts" (as you called them) along the way. We willl always remember our day with you. Just wonderful.
Priscilla our guide was worth her weight in gold. She is passionate about her country and it's culture, history and people. We learnt so much and went to places that we wouldn't have found on our own.
I paid the tour as you ask me But the guide wrote to me that the tour is a walking tour(when I choose this tour I didn’t know that) And if I want doing this tour in a car I need to pay $200 more And I pay for it but I think it’s not fair Also he take me to the mall instead to visit more things And finely He took me to a terrible place to have lunch This guide I will never recommend
Our guide, Mark, was fantastic and met us at the cruise port for a whirlwind tour of the city. I gave him an ambitious list of places we wanted to see and he put together a tour to see it all. He led the tour by teaching us how to navigate the city’s amazing subway system. We hit all of the primary sites and a few additional ones recommended by the guide. Overall it was an excellent day with a terrific guide.
Very friendly and informed had a great time china town and food markets showed us the best there is to see
The tour is so well done, from the upfront organization long before it took place all the way to our amazing tour day with ST, our guide. We took the 8 hour trip and yes it was a long walk but it was also so eventfull, so we would definitely take the same tour again. ST is very knowledgeable and answered all our questions, like only a local person from Singapore could do.
We arranged for a personalised guided tour when we visited Singapore as we wanted to see places that were of interest to us and to be able to take time to learn more. Ying found out about us in advance and was able to arrange a day that suited us perfectly. She was friendly and knowledgeable and made the day a fun experience taking us to both sights we had enquired about and some that she’d included as she knew we would enjoy. We had a much more varied itinerary and were able to explore with more independence for the rest of our stay. We were very pleased with our experience.
We had a perfect day with Aaron, our guide. He took us to places where we would never had gone to without him!
Aaron was an excellent host. We’ve seem all the top attractions. Highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants customized experience
Our tour guide Robyn was amazing and very knowledgeable! She even got some umbrella for us and a power bank! Unfortunately Merlion was closed for renovation but over all it's been really good!
Ying was super attentive and I enjoyed touring the City with her. Would highly recommend if you want a personalized itinerary.
The guide was patient, paced according to our level, took us to all the places we wanted to visit and to even try the Kayan toast.
Little India. Was teaming with men and all of the gold shops We also has a great historical perspective of Singapores past.
Using a personal guide we were able to adjust our day to how we felt and the weather that happened. Having a local to navigate the public transport system meant we didn't waste time deciphering it ourselves.
the guide's knowledge about botany was impressive we also saw other sites, and he told us about others he answered all our questions and was very personable I feel like we got to know Singapore well
Priscilla was a great guide, very helpful and informative. The day of our tour was raining, she came prepared with ponchos for all of us to stay dry. She also was our photographer for the day. Thanks for the personal tour.
This was an incredible day! Priscilla was a fabulous guide and so knowledgeable! We covered all the main sights of Singapore. Her explanations of history and current status were so informative. Most of all she was a lot of fun to be with. I would highly recommend her for anyone. We would have never seen and experienced all we covered if we had not hired her. Truly a wonderful day.
We had a great day in Singapore with our wonderful guide, Priscilla. She tailored the day to our interests, and we couldn’t have enjoyed it more. Priscilla shares her love our Singapore with us, and we left her feeling like we really understood the city-state’s history and Singapore’s special qualities. There is quite a bit of walking, but it is broken up by a few short taxi or bus rides.
They say you can get the whole of Singapore in three days - that may be, if you haven't met Wahida. Well, in one day with her you can only get a grip of what you can see and do for about two weeks! Wahida has proven herself to be a very resourceful person, with solid knowledge and a glamorous spirit. We got a glimpse of what it means to be "the world's melting pot". We wouldn't stop questioning, but she always came forward with the appropriate answers. Mostly amazing, we all had different areas of interest, hence very different questions. We could only recommend Wahida for anyone who wants to really get a grip of this marvellous city.
Had a brilliant day with our guide Priscilla who adjusted her pace to fit our slower walking speed and yet managed to fit in all we had asked for and more. We were able to use public transport and saw so much that we would never have found on our own. She helped us find shopping items, took us to an authentic and cheap eatery for a delicious lunch. Singapore has several districts each with a distinct personality and we experienced them all, finishing with the Sky Gardens which were much larger than we had expected and totally mind blowing. We only had one full day to spend in Singapore and wanted to cram in as much as possible, so we cannot thank Priscilla enough for making this visit such a wonderful experience. We easily organised and paid for this tour before we left England and would definitely recommend Viator to anyone who wants a hassle free personalised tour.
I had a fab day with my host . She introduced me to all the different cultures and religions that peacefully live and work together in this very progressive city. I explored Buddhist temples and she explained some of their traditions and beliefs. We ate local food in the Hawker markets cheaply and well ! Of course we ended the day with Raffles and a Singapore sling and the light show at the Marina Bay Sands . A great guide , fun and informative. A great introduction to this breathtaking city!
