I have long wanted to do a Duck tour, having seen these vessels in several places, but a free day in Singapore presented an opportunity to do so. I booked on the day, getting one of the last three tickets. Wonderfully, the ticket included a free transfer to the starting point on board the Big Bus sightseeing tours, with a stop five minutes’ walk away from where we were staying. Checking in at the desk was very efficient, as was the process for getting on board, with very helpful staff. On board, there was a live tour guide who gave a good commentary of the sights. Helpfully, at places such as the Merlion, the Duck did a 180 degree turn so that passengers on both sides could get a good view. As a combination of a land tour and boat tour, this couldn’t be bettered and I recommend it heartily to all.

Very enjoyable tour well worth it seen lots of iconic sites highly recommend and a bit of fun as well
we booked this as a way of seeing a bit of Singapore whilst we were waiting for another flight. it was fun and a little informative.
A great tour which included both land and river views. Great and engaging tour guides who provided great information on Singapore and its landmarks
The tour was ok as best part was the time on water and the splash, however the safety of it is hugely questionable. Throughout the time on water, the driver had one hand on the steering wheel at the most- at other points no hands- all because he ate his lunch, drunk his coffee, put cream on and then used a back scratcher! I seen it all as I was in front row. Very poor for a company who is reputable as safety should come first. Excursion was also 10 mins shorter than expected- we left at exactly 12noon but returned at exactly 12.50
The views were nice and we got to see some of the city but the guides English was not clear and he had a mask on so it was super difficult to understand him so we did not get any insight into Singapore history/landmarks.
This is a fun relaxing hour, the guide was informative, good viewing of landmark buildings & photo ops from the river, there was a cooling breeze to help combat the heat & humidity of September weather - would recommend this activity to anyone
Great tour, all key sights seen and a good commentary. Water tour was the highlight lovely views of Marina Bay, it was a shame the Merlion was being renovated.
Good overview of monuments shown. Great photo op of merlion statue from the water. Ones seen on land you wont be able to get a good picture.
Good experience and tour guide explained that view and history of Singapore. And the tour guide was friendly
Very interesting tour from river and on land, on a decommissioned war vehicle. View some of the major downtown residences (eg Tanjong Rhu) attractions, including the Merlin and Gardens by the Bay. Highly recommended.
Great way to see the watery side of Singapore- meeting point quite easy to find. Was English tour however with all external noise( we are in an open boat- I know) found the guide quite difficult to understand. Good snd novel experience
I booked the duck tour at a disappointment as Im not aware the the currency was defaulted in USD instead of SGD. Hence, I was paying more for the duck tour as a Singaporean. the trip was in English. but there are some tourist who are from China, Taiwan who does not understand English. it is best to have bilingual language
Interesting tour in old noisy duck boat on land and water. Due to the noise of the vehicle and a lovely (but heavily accented) guide we were unable to hear much of the commentary. This greatly diminished the experience as we felt we missed a lot of intersting information
The only exciting thing is that the bus turns into a boat. It is very very noisy due to the continuous noise of the diesel generator making it impossible to hear anything the guide has to say. She didn’t change her position or repeat herself to ensure that everyone can hear her. Not the best conducted tour. the guide is sweet in her expression and disposition though.
We did the one-hour long Duck Tour which departed from SUNTEC. You go to see some of the sights like City Hall, Mariana Bay Sands and Merlion to name a few. There was commentary along the way. Well worth doing the tour.
Nice quick fun activity with kids. Well organised and friendly staff. Gave us a great introduction to Singapore.
Great service, a bit hot if you have the fan with you will better.
Duck tours is a fun activity! We (family of four) had a great splash into the river and we got to see lots of sights. Unfortunately, our tour guide was very difficult to understand. The volume of the microphone was very high but unfortunately we could not understand his English very well and because he wore a face mask we couldn’t lip read either. I’m sure he had lots of interesting information to share but we really struggled to understand what he was saying and probably only captured about 10 %, this was very disappointing. Perhaps it would be possible to do a recording with headphones? Or, a teleprompter which people could read as the guide speaks? Additionally, it advertised a one-hour tour and we were back within 45 minutes. We were excited to go on this tour but felt a bit unsatisfied after.
We arrived at the departure site only to find out they had canceled our tour without letting us know
Like the Big Bus tours, I always enjoy a DUCK tour wherever they’re available — and Singapore definitely ticked that box for us. We joined the tour during Formula One preparations, which added a completely unexpected bonus. Seeing parts of the track being set up as we drove through the city gave the whole experience a unique twist you wouldn’t get on a regular day. The water portion of the tour was just as enjoyable — calm, scenic, and a great way to see Singapore’s highlights from a different angle. It’s relaxing without ever feeling slow, and it offers a fun contrast to the city’s busy streets. This is a fantastic activity for families. Kids would absolutely love the novelty of driving straight into the water, and our guide made it even more entertaining by running little games with prizes. I’ve never had that on a DUCK tour in any other country, so it was a fun surprise that lifted the mood and had us all testing our Singapore knowledge (and learning new things along the way). One tip: book ahead. This isn’t a large‑capacity tour, and we couldn’t just walk up — we needed a confirmed booking to secure our time slot. A fun, unique, and family‑friendly way to explore Singapore by land and sea.
The MOST beautiful Airport. The cable Cars, its Buildings and its people!
Tour was good but the guide was hard to understand. You will get wet when the vehicle hits the water
Was good ..enjoyed the views not so interested in the commetary
We did this early at 10am to get out before temperatures became too hot. Trip lasted 1 hour aboard a wheeled amphibious vehicle. Guide was informative and pointed out the important sights both on land and on the river giving us a good idea where we would explore ourselves later. Great views of Marina Bay Sands Hotel, F1 circuit pit garages, Merlion etc. would recommend to others.
Really fun trip for an hour or so. The trip into and around some of the harbour is excellent with some good photo opportunities. The drive round the city is bumpy but from an elevated vantage point to also good.
Fun ride.. can be a little bumpy for elderly.. the tour guide was good and pointed out allot of spots along the way.
We had a wonderful experience chartering this boat for a group of 30 elderly guests. The reception staff were very helpful and welcoming from the start. Mr James, our guide was super friendly, always smiling, and very knowledgeable, which everyone really enjoyed. Captain Tan was highly skillful and made the ride smooth and safe for the whole group. Everything was well organized and comfortable. Highly recommended!
It was fun and something different to do. The Captain and tour guide were really good and very knowledgeable. A great tour!
As it is a new, exciting, enjoyable , knowledge experience .regardless of age. Almost know all the icons of Singapore in a very beautiful way. We all enjoy the excited journey.
We had read all the reviews prior to booking the duck tour and really thought it would be a highlight of our stay in Singapore. We were travelling with an 8 year old and 6 year old, so thought it would be right up our alley. We were assigned seats in the third row back so thought that would be perfect in terms of hearing the commentary (based on other people’s reviews). Unfortunately we still struggled to hear with the poor audio system and loud engine. Our host also didn’t appear to have the same energy and jokes that had been mentioned in other reviews. Two people on our trip (in seperate groups) fell asleep during the short tour! I couldn’t recommend this trip. This is an expensive experience and it’s a shame that more of that money isn’t being reinvested to make it a good experience for their guests.
20 mins from water & rest on land. Good for 1 trip. See sights from the water. Good guide. Be careful when they slide into the water as it is quite steep. Hold onto your seat.
Excellent once we found the check in desk…………………………………………………………….,…..,………………,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Such a unique experience being in the one vehicle for land and water. The guide was very informative. Highly recommend ⭐️
I’ve been on this multiple times over several decades. It’s fun when the vehicle goes from land to water, but the guide really does make a difference. Some are very engaging and informative. Some not so much.
An interesting tour, but with a few drawbacks. You can buy your ticket online, but you can't choose your seat. Even with an online ticket, you have to stop by the ticket booth in Suntec City mall for confirmation. Then your seat is automatically assigned to you. If you don't have a seat on the outside row, the one next to the board, you can't take decent pictures. In addition, if you sit on the last row of seats, you don't really hear any of the information given by the guide, even if he uses a microphone and speakers. Everything is jamed by the loud engine noise. In addition, in those seats, there is also a strong smell of exhaust fumes.
The tour guide was really good. He was charismatic, engaging, and friendly. He was very knowledgeable, but gave facts in a way that was very interesting, even if it was about a sight you weren't fussed about. The driver concentrated on driving so wasn't very interactive, but that is how it should be-he did a great job driving something that isn't built for comfort!
I really enjoyed the Singapore Duck Tour! The ride was fun and unique, especially the moment when the vehicle splashed into the water. It was such a cool way to see both the city and the bay in one trip. The views of Marina Bay Sands, the Merlion, and the skyline from the water were amazing. The guide was also informative and entertaining, sharing interesting facts about the city’s history and landmarks. Overall, it was a memorable experience and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Singapore
A great way to get around and see some sights. The host was great. Be prepared to get wet as you enter the water if you are sitting near the edge of the boat.
We took the duck tour, which is more like a fun event then a tour guide preaching list of dates and historic events. I liked that a lot. My teenager son, too.
We had a great time with the family. The views of some of the architecture from the river was amazing! Friendly staff. Very informative.
Very old vehicle, very uncomfortable, cramped . Seats only suitable for children. No warning that you will get very wet when the vehicle enters the water.
Nice to see Singapore from a different perspective. Due to the rehearsals for the 60th anniversary some roads were closed but we were warned in advance. Guide was very friendly and also offered us some advice on things we were doing later. Our guide was very informative telling us about the sights we were seeing. We all really enjoyed
We took the Singapore Duck Tour in the last week of June and had a mostly enjoyable experience. I’ve taken one other Duck Tour in Seattle and that was great. The highlight again is in the water. The cruise through Marina Bay had fantastic views of the Merlion, the Singapore Flyer, the iconic Marina Bay Sands Hotel, and the spectacular Gardens by the Bay. You really get an awesome view of the skyline from the water. One heads-up: if you’re sitting near the sides of the boat, you may get splashed when the vehicle enters the water. It’s not a big deal, but something to keep in mind. The boat’s motor is very loud. Very loud. The guide used a microphone so most of us could hear him. But there were times it was difficult to hear him. He seemed a bit nervous, but he still did a solid job and shared a few interesting facts along the way. The street portion of the tour was short. We passed around the Parliament building and the Padang before returning. Since it was close to National Day, we did get to see the grandstands and army vehicles out for parade rehearsals. Still, I would’ve liked to see more of the city. Duck tours does operate The Big Bus so you’ll see most of the city on those tours. The tour runs about 50 minutes and costs S$45. I recommend booking the 5 PM slot It’s a little bit cooler at that time. After the tour you can head to Suntec City or the nearby area for dinner.
Was a easy tour for all ages. Very friendly staff. Very helpful and informative. A bit of easy going fun without walking.
It is a very informative & organised trip. We got shown all the iconic sights & we highly recommend this tour for all age groups. THANKYOU to our guide, Linda and our duck driver, Ben.
I booked a tour through the Get Your Guide website for 7.3.2025 at 11:00. I arrived on the scene at the offices of DUCKtours Singapore 5 minutes late, due to traffic problems, I was told that because of the delay your tour was cancelled for you. I asked that they set another date for my tour, the clerk did not agree to any of my requests. I received from the DUCKtours clerk contemptuous treatment and poor service. I turned to Get Your Guide and they didn't help me with anything, all my money was lost. I do not recommend anyone to order any service from DUCKtours Singapore. There are enough competing companies that provide these services.
It was a great brief tour seeing some major landmarks of Singapore on land and on water. The biggest issue is the guide's English. All four of us (including one local Singaporean) had difficulty understanding his English.
It was fun. The engine was so loud that it was difficult to hear our guide, but when I had tuned my aural filters properly I was able to understand 90% of what was being said. It was cool to be able to see Marina Bay from the water, and then get a road-based look at the town. Also, we went on a bit of the F1 track, albeit in a 30-mph ex-Vietnam army vehicle :)
Very enjoyable with great commentary. Views were spectacular of marina bay and Singapore. Took a lot of photos . Very punctual.
