Singapore Chinatown, Kampong Glam, Little India Cultural Tour

I had to pay extra to have a private tour otherwise the tour was going to be cancelled. The guide was late in the morning, then stopped for a tea break and I kept on exploring on my own not to lose time. I was not informed that we were going to miss a stop and add others (so the itinerary changed without any notice). Never more. Really disappointed and poor service despite having paid more then the double.

Excellent walking tour of 3 historically and culturally interesting areas of Singapore. Our guide Adam gave us a fascinating insight into each area and the general history of Singapore. He was friendly, with a good sense of humour and made the tour more interesting because of his exceptional knowledge. Thank you Adam for a great tour - Keith and Julie

The guide I had was very informative and had great knowledge of Singpore history and all 3 towns. For a sole traveller it was very expensive, I was charged: $180 dollars plus had to pay for each train ride and I could have seen these areas on my own without paying $180, if you are solo don't waste your money.

This tour was very educative and we enjoyed every bit of it! Adam our tour guide was very knowledgeable and gave us all the facts about the culture of Singapore. He was very patient and catered to each and every one of our needs. We will definitely recommend this tour and Adam as your tour guide

This was a great tour to see all of the interesting parts of Singapore. Our tour guide Joyce was very informative and allowed us time to shop for souvenirs. And she took pictures for us as a group.

Terry Chau was an exceptional guide! Exploring Kampong Glam, Little India, and Chinatown with him made the cultural experience so much more vivid and meaningful. My visit to singapore was very short but we were able to see and visit many places in this tour with mr Tang, he has a good knowledge of the area and good spot to recommend.

Today we were lucky enough to have Adam as our guide. His extensive knowledge and insight into the history and culture of the areas we visited was invaluable. Adam took the time to make sure we were comfortable and safe at every turn. His cheery personality was an added bonus and we were grateful for all the added little tidbits of information that came our way. This walking tour provided a glimpse into the three old cultures of Singapore which spans its population. Chinese, Malay and Indian! It covered the old Chinatown, Little India, and Kampong Glam Malay Heritage! Our tour guide Joyce was very nice! Very knowledgeable about the three cultures and history of Singapore! I would recommend this tour to everyone visiting Singapore!

It was a very enjoyable and interesting tour. We learned a lot about Singapore and it’s cultural heritage. Our tour guide, Ganesh, told us many things about the city and its people, demonstrating a wealth of knowledge. We really liked his friendly and courteous manner. You could see that he truly enjoys his work. We highly recommend both, this tour and the tour guide.

Joyce started the tour with a history of the country before we even started walking, which was very helpful. She is very knowledgeable and was good at putting everything in context. We spent a good amount of time in each quarter, and the amount of walking and transit was a good balance. Joyce pointed out the important historical/cultural parts of each area and also a lot of detail about the food and markets - it was great to learn about the traditional foods and where to find good ones. Lots of opportunities to stop for snacks - and you can pick and choose when you want to stop or keep moving. Joyce knows a lot about the different cultures and is always willing to answer questions, share more facts, and tell you her perspective, so we learned a lot. Overall a very good tour!

We enjoyed our cultural tour. Our guide had an excellent knowledge of Singapore and its rich history. We went to areas we wouldn’t have as tourists, including Chinatown wet markets and hawker centres. The tour went for around 3.5 hours which was perfect.

This could have been a fantastic walking tour but sadly the guide appeared to run out of puff and the last section was somewhat rushed. May have been something to do with the heat? Also, Francis was not perhaps as careful as he should have been to keep his own political etc views to himself.

Tremendous tour. Ganesh was so knowledgeable and could answer all our questions about Singapore, past and present. He was willing to adjust the tour for us as we had already seen much of Chinatown. He went out of his way to make sure we got back to our hotel in amongst the Deepavali crowd.

Our guide Joyce provided an excellent introduction to life in Singapore especially about its multiethnic society. She explained how Singapore achieved its independence and what life is like for ordinary Singaporeans.

Ganesh was truly the most remarkable and intelligent guide we could have asked for on our cultural tour through Singapore’s Chinatown, Kampong Glam, and Little India districts. We learned a great deal about where we were- the history of both the areas and of Singapore itself, we saw things we never would have noticed, and we enjoyed visiting areas both on and off the beaten path!
