This was a wonderful tour. Guide Ace has superb knowledge of the topic and can bring personal engagements with veterans to help explain these events. We visited the key locations on the island and visited 2 relevant excellent museums. Highly recommended

Ace Ong has provided a very comprehensive private tour of the World War II Introduction on Singapore during the 4 to 5 hours day tour. It was unfortunate that we could not cover the whole tour (last bit of it) due to a heavy downpour. However, I appreciate all the details and information shared by Ace Ong with regards to my questions on the world war II in Singapore even after the tour had ended. He is indeed a very knowledgeable guide and I will highly recommend him to anyone who is keen in learning more about the history of Singapore.
Our guide was Ace in name and the delivery was Ace. We knew a bit but not a lot. Now we know a lot after being taken intelligently to all the key sites. We were a 4, meeting up after 2and a half years of Covid. Ace knew his audience and delivered information tailored to us. It was interspersed with detail gained from Aces many contacts with ex service men and his own grandparents experience of occupation but balanced by an understanding of Japan. Brilliant tour. Thank you.
Ace gave us a tailor made tour of the strategic history points of the island of Singapore. He was engaging, knowledgeable and kind, giving us an insight into the fall of Singapore. Thank you - great tour
My parents and wife went on the WW2 tour of Singapore with Ace as our tour guide. I can’t praise the tour enough. It far exceeded our expectations! Ace was incredibly knowledgeable and expertly guided us around Singapore and it’s many WW2 sites sharing stories and building a very clear picture of the situation in Singapore and the rest of the Malay peninsula. The way Ace guided us around was incredibly accessible and catered for our needs. We knew very little about the Battle of Singapore at the start but over the course of the tour Ace painted a very clear picture. Full marks. Ace went above and beyond on the tour and I can’t thank him enough. I understand that he does other tours to Penang and the Malay Peninsula which we woll be very interested in once the borders open up. Another point to note is that on the tour Ace also gave us insights of modern Singapore. My wife and I have lived in Singapore for 5 years and we found it incredibly interesting. My parents had come for a holiday and they also found this “side tour” fascinating. My wife and I will likely book other tours of Singapore with Ace. I could not recommend Ace and this tour company enough!!! Thank you!
Actually did this September 2018, but realised I forgot to review. I found it very emotional as my father suffered greatly in Changing and Kranji camps. Ace was a wonderful guide and tried to Taylor the tour to our needs as a family.i cannot recommend enough.we will return soon when Changing museum is open again maybe for VJ 75. we would love to do the extension into Malaya to complete the experience.can’t recommend enough
<p>This was a fabulous experience and well worth it! Our tour guide, Ace, showed us around the island, explaining its history and was able to personalise it so that we visited key areas and addresses linked to our family's history. We learnt so much about not only WW2 but also modern day Singapore so thumbs up for Ace and Right tours. However, thumbs down for Viator. I sent them 5 emails asking for confirmation of the tour as I didn't recieve anything and kept being told that the tour was inorder. I did ring Right tours as soon as I reached Singapore and later discovered that there had been a computer error and it was only as a result of my call that they traced the booking. So definitely do this tour if you have any interest in Singapores history but DO make sure you receive a confirmation from the tour operator in Singapore. This could have been a very different review had I not kept checking and actually phoned as soon as I got to SG.</p>
Enjoyed our day with Ace very much. He had quite a detailed knowledge of The Fall of Singapore and answered the majority of our questions very well This is a great tour to get an overview of the island too
<p>Ace did the best tour of the sites where the Japanese came into Singapore. Very informative and really enjoyed my self in learning much more than I knew about the fall of Singapore.Thank you Ace for a great tour.</p>
<p>Great tour- lots of information and presented so well. Certainly improved our knowledge and understanding of the events leading up to the fall of Singapore. Our guide Ace was exceptional <br/> Recommend this tour</p>
<p>Excellent tour by a very accomplished and knowledgeable guide</p>
<p>This is a terrific tour which was also in part an adventure and exploration. I won't go any further on this.<br/> I want to thank Ace my tour guide for a great day out and I will continue where we left off in the near future</p>
<p>Very limited information from our tour guide, he was more of waiting questions to answer instead of providing more information</p>
<p>We had an excellent days tour of the Singapore WW2 battlefields and it added much more context to our existing knowledge of the era and place - and it was fthe 50th anniversary of our very first visit to Singapore - what an amazing change! We had family reasons for the tour and therefore brought some of our own documentation. We were very impressed by the way the Ace customised our tour with the documentation while we looked round the Changi Museum - we then spent a very effective 8 hours covering the areas of our particular interest of the Singapore battlefield. The administration was immaculate as was very well informed discussion with Ace on facets of the history of old and modern Singapore much of which we had not fully appreciated. The tour was a hightlight of our Singapore visit and a must to help with the understanding of the past and present Singapore. Many thanks Ace and Ralphina.</p>
<p>Ace was an excellent tour guide. We appreciated his enthusiasm, his flexibility and his knowledge. We also appreciated his patience!! Being highly interactive travellers, there was a lot of discussion! I wouldn't hesitate in highly recommending him. By the end of the tour we had a comprehensive overview of the attack on Singapore and life in Singapore during the occupation. We learned a large number facts that we had not known previously - particularly about Operation Matador and the role in played in the war in South East Asia. The only thing I would change would be to visit the museum at the Old Ford Factory before the visit to the Changi Prison museum. The guided tour we received at the Old Ford Factory consolidated what we had learned from Ace, whereas we didn't really have enough info at our fingertips when we visited the Changi museum. All in all, Ace's tour is an absolute must. Definitely the highlight of our visit to Singapore.</p>
<p>'Ace' delivered a well planned day that showcased the important WWII sites. He was well informed and answered many questions with ease. 'Ace' was ace.</p>
<p>Ace was a really good tour guide, and we greatly enjoyed the long tour. The only suggestion that could make the tour better would be if it included lunch at a local restaurant. We literally drove around the entire island, and visited so many sights that we could never have done this on our own. A fascinating view of history of Singapore.</p>
<p>Easy to book and punctual pick-up. Nice aircon vehicle with complementary water. Friendly driver and knowledgeable guide who was passionate about the subject. He was always interested in new information and i was able to tell him that my Father was on HMS Rotherham when it sailed into the naval dockyard to take the surrender of 34,000 Japanese personel. The western gate of the old naval dockyard is called Rotherham Gate and 1 pillar still remains. If you are interested in the history of Singapore or had relatives who were there then this tour is for you as it can be adapted to your wishes.<br/> Excellent!</p>
<p>This was the highlight of our seven-day trip to Singapore. Ace is a knowledgable and engaging guide with a passion for military history who caters the tour to your interests. We visited Changi Museum, Kranji War Cemetery and the Ford Factory as well as a number of other spots where significant events occurred. We were picked up from our hotel in a clean and comfortable car as there was just the two of us. The only thing I'd recommend is to bring some snacks as there's no stopping for lunch but Ace provides water. It was a very special way to commemorate Anzac Day.</p>
<p>The tour was very enjoyable. Ace the tour guide went out of his way to research and locate some WW2 significant places that I wanted to see, which aren't on a normal tour. We spent time on the northern side of the island visiting Japanese landing sites, Australian defensive positions and the causeway. We could see the Sultan of Johores palace in southern Malaysia which was used as the Japanese command post during the Singapore invasion. The Bukit Chandu museum was particularly moving. There are many different historical WW2 places in Singapore so for history buffs or descendants of veterans who want a personalised tour this one is highly recommended.</p>
<p>This was an excellent tour. Knowledgable pleasant tour guide and driver. Huge knowlegde. Informative and thorough. Really enjoyed the stops some unfortunately werent open but will return to finalze the tour. Given plenty of time at the museum cemetary and stops never pushed. Definately a must. Thankyou</p>
<p>this was well worth the money gave me an insight into things I had not already known.the one on one tour is for everyone.we were able to go to many of the places that you have read about now I can put an imagine to the name.thanks Ace it was a great tour</p>
<p>If you are interested in history as well as other informative information about Singapore, you can't go wrong with this tour. Our tour guide, Ace, was extremely knowledgeable and personable. He took the time to explain everything and answer all questions we had. Great value and a nice day.</p>
