Absolutely fantastic food tour through Singapore! Priscilla was a fantastic guide that took us to so many different locations, personalized the tour and choices for our meals, and taught us so much history from the various places we ate at. A really great experience on the various food cultures of Singapore. Highly recommend!

This was a second tour in two days with Gee Soo, we had a ball. The food was incredible, we recieved both history on the food and the location we were in. Gee Soo had a tablet which was full of histiorical photos of most of the locations so you could see the incredible restoration all around. This both together made you feel like you were back in time seeing through the locals eyes. This does grately enhance the food experience of the tour. Leonie & Stephen Mcleod-Robertson
Pam was absolutely delightful! We did a food tour with her in Singapore and had such a wonderful time. She took us to some fantastic local spots, introduced us to foods we never would have discovered on our own, and shared so much about Singapore along the way. She was warm, knowledgeable, funny, and just genuinely enjoyable to spend time with. It felt less like being on a tour and more like exploring Singapore with a friend. We would absolutely recommend Pam and the tour!
Our guide was Gee Soo and he was absolutely amazing. He showed us all delicious places to eat, talked to us about the history of some of the places we went to. He got to know us and we really enjoyed his guidance and his humor. It was like he was a long time friend showing some friends around.
We did the Hello Singapore food tour while on a layover in Singapore. Pam was an excellent guide, filling us in on Singapore history, and the story behind the food we were eating. She is passionate about food and Singapore. The food was all very good and we tried many dishes for the first time. If you take this tour you will not need lunch or dinner.
We meet up with Priscilla at our hotel, from the outset she was engaging and inquisitive as to our wishes for the day ahead. Throughout the tour we explored and experienced different neighbourhoods diving into the history, culture and cuisines that they are famous and known for over many years. We would recommend a food tour with both Priscilla and hello Singapore while in town..
Our guide Pam was amazing on our 6 hour food and local cultural tour of 4 areas. The tour was well paced and took us to areas that friends who had visited Singapore previously had never seen. The different foods were all amazing and Pam’s knowledge of all the cultures we experienced was very interesting. I highly recommend this tour with Pam as a guide.
We did a 6 hour tour with our guide, Richard. He was extremely knowledgeable about all the food we ate and the history of Singapore. I did this tour with my children who are both at university and we all had a great time. Richard really went out of his way to ensure that we understood the history and context of the food that he was putting in front of us and that he was adjusting to our needs. A really good day.
Absolutely incredible food tour of Singapore led by the brilliant Su. Such an amazing variety of food, in places we never would have discovered by ourselves, accompanied by fascinating and informed guiding. I was with my father for his upcoming 80th birthday, and Su took great care of us both.
We had an amazing tour with Pam. Even though we just met, it felt like hanging out with an old friend. We got to try all sorts of food and drinks in places that we probably would have never found on our own. And Pam told us about the history of the food and the neighborhoods in Singapore which was super interesting. Highly recommend!
6 Hour Tour: Extremely good tour through a broad variety of ethnic food experiences, with a very knowledgeable and experienced guide, Su Ling. Despite pacing ourselves we struggled to get to the end, there was so much food. Beyond the food, Su Ling was brilliant at communicating the cultural and historical backdrop to what we saw and experienced. Highly recommended.
Pam was a superb and charming guide who gave us a richly rewarding introduction to the flavours of Singapore, and far more: she really helped us understand the cultural contexts and history that gave rise to the splendid diversity here, expressed so excitingly through the world of food. We spent over six fascinating hours with her visiting so many different places we would never have found on our own, and trying foods that would have remained mysteries to us without her help. It was a fantastic way to discover Singapore on our first day, giving us a wonderful grounding of the modern city, its history, its cultural diversity and unity, so much about the daily life of the people, and the importance of food here. Her knowledge was immense and wide-ranging, and she was incredibly generous with her time, and instantly put us at ease. She introduced us to wonderful walks and neighbourhoods, the excellent public transportation of Singapore (very useful and interesting in itself), and food producers who were real gems. Everything she chose for us was thoughtful, magical and so enjoyable. We can’t rate this tour highly enough. It was a fantastically exciting and broad-ranging way to experience this marvellous city through its food. Pam was absolutely lovely company and the best possible guide.
We had an incredible 6 hour food tour with Pam covering several different neighborhoods of Singapore. We felt less like tourists by taking local transportation and exploring parts of Singapore we may not have discovered on our own. This was definitely the highlight of our trip to Singapore and what we will remember most. Thank you Pam!
We had an excellent food tour with Pam. She was a fantastic guide and enjoyable to spend the day with. She gave just the right of information without giving too much. We tasted at least 15 different items and saw a lot of Singapore. Highly recommended.
What an amazing tour! Our tour guide Pam was so knowledgeable and the food was delicious! So cool to go to different parts of the city.
Our day spent with Gee Soo on a private food tour of Singapore was worth every Singapore dollar and much more. He was very knowledgeable on the history of the country and its culture and it was great to learn how Singaporeans live while also dining on some incredible food. We had 11 different food stops along the way with multiple dishes at each stop, which is really too much food, but it was all incredibly delicious and gave us a great taste of what Singapore has to offer.
What a great day with Hello! Tours Singapore. Our tour was “Discover the Taste of Singapore on a 6-Hour Private Food Tour with tastings, hotel pick-up and local guide”. And how fortunate were we to have Pamela as our guide. We were picked up from our hotel and taken to 8 different locations to enjoy Chinese, Malay-Peranakan, Indian and Middle Eastern cuisines. During the tour we also travelled on buses to different quarters to experience the true culinary delights of the different cultures. Parts of the tour involved walking through the areas to see and feel the real Singapore and understand the history and diverse cultural background. It was great to get amongst the locals at an easy walking pace. Pamela was like AI, a wealth of information and such fun. She organised all the food orders, payment and the seating - challenging in the hawkers markets. Pamela was well known at the eateries, and efficiently steered us through the maze of delights. She explained the menus and the stories that went with the food. Nothing was a problem for her and she was very considerate of us Grey Nomads. We loved the variety of foods and equally enjoyable was the immersion in the various cultures. Pamela made it a 11/10 experience and the highlight of our 4 day stay in Singapore. Can’t thank Pam enough for the friendly, fun and informative tour. We highly recommend this tour and you are definitely on a winner if Pamela is your guide. Thanks Pam Tony & Kerry
What a wonderful way to experience the food and hear about the history of Singapore. Gee Soo made our tour fun and so interesting. The food was excellent, particularly the Laksa.
We had a delightful experience with Pam, the food was delicious and her knowledge of the dishes and cultures made it come alive
Pam gave us a really excellent experience with an overview of Singaporean culture and history through people and food. It was a highly enjoyable and worthwhile experience, thank you!
Pam was an awesome guide, best day of the whole trip! Highly recommend doing this to find out all the spots to visit in the various cultural areas throughout the city and try all the amazing food from each area.
Gee Soo was our guide. He is a generous and caring man with a deep knowledge of Singapore, its history and the variety of foods. Across 6 hours we enjoyed every minute and gained a greater insight into Singapore and how it has evolved into the great city it is now. Thank you Gee Soo. A delightful day and experience.
I booked the tour for my nephew and he is very happy with the arrangement. Gee soo is the tour guide and he is super nice and so passionate with the trip and sharing a lot stories of this city. If you want to explore the city, culture and the food, this is very recommended.
Thanks to our tour guide Gee Soo we had an amazing experience. It was our first time in Singapore and we saw so much of this beautiful city and learned a lot too from someone who not only knows this city and its history but has a deep love and passion for it too. The visit to the National Gallery formerly Supreme Court was a highlight for me. The blend of the old and the new was sight to behold, just beautiful and the view from the rooftop was spectacular. The Singapore river cruise was beautiful and added a nice relaxing interlude to the walking tour. It was a very warm day but Gee ensured we were hydrated and cool. Another highlight was the visit to Pinnacle public housing initiative. Wow the rest of the world could learn a lot from how Singapore manages housing for the less fortunate, the facilities there were awesome as was the view from the sky bridge. Taking public transport gave us a real insight to the life of local people. We loved the delicious local food at the Maxwell market. Finally we ended a fabulous day with a traditional tea ceremony at Tea Chapter. We made some new friends and we will most definitely be back again. Yesterday, we had an unforgettable tour of Singapore with this incredible team! From start to finish, everything was exceptionally well-organised. What stood out was how our guide brought the city to life, sharing fascinating historical facts, captivating local stories, and showing us the real, authentic side of Singapore that you don’t usually get to see. The guide was knowledgeable, warm, friendly, and genuinely passionate about their work. They made the entire experience engaging and enjoyable for everyone in the group. I walked away with a deeper appreciation for Singapore's culture, history, and hidden gems. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city—it’s a perfect blend of education, storytelling, and fun! Thank you for a wonderful experience!
This was one of the best food tours I've had. It was the perfect combination of walking, history, seeing different neighborhoods and cultures, all through the eyes of food. Richard was a wonderful and thoughtful guide. I would recommend him anytime. I look forward to doing another tour the next time I'm in Singapore.
We truly had a fantastic tour with Pamela around Singapore from 9am to 3pm, hitting all the major cultural hubs (Katong, Kampong Glam and Little India) all while learning a ton and of course, eating a huge variety of very good food. We tried around 11 dishes and 4 drinks! What a melting pot of culture and history. This is the food and culture tour you're looking for while in Singapore, likely the best thing to do in the city. Highly recommend it.
Gee Soo, Boo was our guide on this “food tour “. This was so much more. A little history, a little culture , a lot of food, all from a man who loves his country. I can’t recommend this tour enough. And with any luck, you will have Gee as your guide.
Really great information and great food and drink . Good group as well .Gee Soo was a fantastic tour guide. He couldn’t do enough for us .
We travel all over the world and always hire a guide when we go to a new city. Gee Soo was the best tour guide we have had in a very long time. He was incredibly knowledgeable and organized, and he was amazing with our 3 year old daughter. We had a private, all day food tour and I highly recommend it.
Stefan was a great guide and he customized our preferences and made sure to take us to places that we were interested in going to. It was a great way to explore different areas and also learn a little bit of history as well. The only complaint about this tour was that there was too much amazing food to eat in such a short period of time!
Our guide Gee was very interesting, He shared his own expérience, explained many things about the culture and history of Singapore. He was very sociable, generous, and gave many informations. I really recommend Gee for a guided tour!
Had an amazing time with Richard. Will definitely be doing it again. Ask for Richard when booking your tour............
We tried so many interesting foods from many parts of the city. I learned a lot about Singapore, its people and cultural history. Sue was an excellent guide.
A superb way to gain a small insight into the amazing city that is Singapore. The enthusiasm of our guide Gee was infectious. Such a wealth of knowledge but so understanding and caring and his pace was perfect particularly as we had little experience of the heat. Our exploration of Chinatown was fascinating, the standard of food sampled in the hawker market was superb and the tea ceremony was a privilege to participate in. Thank you Gee for making our holiday that bit more special
A brilliant tour! The highlight of our stay in Singapore. Our wonderful guide, Gee, walked us through the history, culture & people of Singapore through its food. Gee was fantastic, we all enjoyed spending the day with him. He was really knowledgable, engaged & super friendly. I couldn’t recommend highly enough
RK was an awesome tour guide and constantly went above and beyond to make sure everyone in the party felt comfortable. He is a wealth of information and I learned a lot of about the Singapore history as well as how the society works currently. He also provided tips for where we could visit for the remainder of our stay.
Kwan was the absolute best! He’s so knowledgeable about Singapore & the story behind the different foods we tried. You can tell he loves sharing his country’s history & food scene. All the foods were delicious and we really enjoyed our day. If you’re thinking about booking this tour, do it! :)
Pam was an excellent guide—knowledgeable about the history/culture/cuisine, enthusiastic, and a great storyteller. She was very organized and allowed plenty of time for us to experience the local cultural and culinary highlights. We would highly recommend Pam as a guide.
Pam was a great guide, all food stop were great. 3 different food zones Chinese, Indian and Malay food. Would recommend this to everyone
My mom, wife and I did a private food tour with Kwang Wei. The online booking through their website was quick and easy. The tour was fun, informative, and balanced in terms of savory and sweets. Kwang Wei was a superb guide. He was accommodating, super knowledgeable, and passionate about the Singaporean culture, food, and history. Although there was a lot of walking, we learned a lot from him while enjoying delicious varieties of food from different districts. He took us to restaurants that are well liked and popular among the locals. The curry puff, radish cake, and Hokkien mee were our favorites, but everything we tried was also good. For the ones who are watching their sugar/sweet intake, be advised that most of the drinks and desserts are sweet, maybe on par with American sweets. We also had lots of time to take pictures along the way. Kwang Wei was mindful of my allergy and how tired my mom was getting during our walks. He was also very flexible when we wanted to buy other snacks when we saw other stalls and vendors and when we needed to use the restroom. He knew the ins and outs of Singapore. Kwang Wei gave us lots of tips as first-timers there such as ordering your tea/coffee correctly, etc. I highly recommend booking any of the tours with Kwang Wei.
This 6 hour food tour is well worth it and if you're new to Singapore like us, it definitely should be done at the beginning of your trip. It gave us a great overview of Singapore's history and various cultures, how to get around, and a wide sampling of unique and tasty food. We tried everything and didn't need to eat dinner that night. Seeing the various cultural areas and tasting their food gave us a sense of the diversity that makes up Singapore (Chinese, Peranakan, Malay, Indian). Singapore is a dynamic city-state of unique architecture, crowded hawker centers, historical areas, and public and private housing. What was amazing was that all the cultures remain distinct yet co-exist peacefully alongside each other in a small space. Richard was early and well-prepared for our tour. He had visual aids (iPad, pictures, maps) to help us understand what he was describing. He packed hand sanitizer, napkins, utensils, bowls, and cups for sharing food. He had a definite itinerary and kept us moving along while giving us lots of information along the way. He was knowledgeable, friendly, open to answering any questions, and passionate about sharing about Singapore. He took great group pictures of us during the tour. He was super helpful after the tour by walking us to the MRT subway station and going into the station to help us stand on the right platform for us to get to our next destination. He sent out an email afterwards with our group pictures, a list of the places we had gone, and a list of possible things to do/visit during the rest of our stay. He gave us his contact info if we needed any additional advice during our stay. We appreciated his accessibility, knowledge, and enthusiasm for sharing about Singapore. He went above and beyond to make a memorable day for us. The only suggestion we would make is to have more bathroom breaks in air-conditioned areas as it's a fast-paced walking tour in a hot, humid environment. We drank a lot of cold drinks but then we needed to continually find bathrooms (group of 7 adults). Tips for travelers: compact umbrella for downpours and shade, a water bottle, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, cooling towel, good walking shoes that can get wet. It's also helpful to have an adventuresome palate to make the most of the food tasting.
My private food tour and walking tour with Hello Singapore were absolutely amazing. Gee Soo was such a wonderful guide - we had great conversations around the history of Singapore and its future. As I only had 48 hours in the city he was very flexible in our days based upon what I wanted to see in the city/what foods I wanted to try. We were at a local Hawker Center and he mentioned a Michelin starred stall known for their noodles - so we took a fun detour to go try them! Traveling solo can be daunting, so I truly appreciated Gee Soo and I's conversations throughout our 2 days together and showing me his home - he is a great ambassador. I am really looking forward to visiting again in the future!
We so enjoyed our food tour with Darryl. We got to visit a variety of areas in the city and learn about new foods and dishes. As a native of Singapore, Darryl was a highly knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide!
Richard was our wonderful tour guide for this private food tour. He was very knowledgeable and could answer all of our family’s questions. I went with my family, with three adult kids, and they all had a blast! Richard was also very accommodating of our dietary restriction - one of my children cannot have dairy and he made sure to find alternatives for her to eat. Overall, the tour felt like we were visiting a friend that was showing us around the local food scene and having us try his favorite restaurants. Would highly recommend!
Our Singapore food tour with Su Ling was fantastic — I’m still dreaming about the hokkien mee noodles three weeks later! We traveled around the city like locals, ducking into places I would never have picked on my own that offered truly incredible Singaporean specialty dishes. Su Ling’s deep knowledge of Singapore’s history enriched the experience and brought the food to life, and she was great company for our day. I would do it a second time just for all the great dishes and adventurous day!
Top class experience. Our guide Pam was clear and concise with her descriptions and commentary for the full duration of the tour. The tour itself was well constructed and would suit visitors who are prepared to srtoll through historic Singapore, ride a bus, ride a tour boat and ride an elevator to the 50th Floor of the Pinnacle at Duxton. By that I mean almost all of the time we were on the tour we were on level ground. Lunch was excellent and where we ate there were plenty of locals also eating - a good sign if locals are eating there it must be OK. We enjoyed the traditional Chinese tea appreciation at Tea Chapter and appreciated the art of enjoying Chinese tea. Very good value for money, would recommend.
It was our second day in Singapore, and our group of 8 friends spent a very enjoyable 6 hours with our special guide - Richard. Although the main theme of the tour was around food, we learned many things about the local history, culture and traditions communicated with passion and humour by our very informed and pleasant guide. We will be happy to recommend the Hello! agency and Richard to family and friends travelling to this side of the world.
Our tour guide was Richard Kan, ask for him by name! He was our guide and he was excellent. It was my wife’s and mine first trip to Singapore and we did the private food tour on our first full day. Richard knew his stuff and communicated it very well. He was professional and we always felt in good hands as we ventured down streets and into shops. Linking the culture and history to the various locations and foods we tried, it was a delicious way to get grounded in the new land. Be prepared for the normal Singapore weather and be prepared to walk a lot.
Our guide Gee Soo Boo was not only very knowledgeable but also he was helpful, took lots of photos and made the tour really good
