Great way to see and learn from Singapore iconic culture and history. Our tour guy (Kevin) was very knowledgeable and not only guided us to temples and city sights but was very informative in all its history. If you are in Singapore and want to learn your way around in a few hours, I totally recommend this tour.

Sue Ling was an amazing guide . She knew the city very well and we loved the fact that she took us to places that highlighted amazing beauty as well as places not so beautiful. We got the full spectrum .
Su Ling was excellent - we were difficult customers as we hadnt had much sleep straight off a 13 hour flight - she was very patient, engaging and helpful. From a professional perspective, Su was extremely knowledgeable and clearly passionate about her subject matter.
Exceptionally personalized tour - the day before, we had an itinerary perfect for our tastes and pace. If something in the distance caught our eye or we had a wardrobe malfunction, Maureen pivoted on the fly. It was by far the best tour experience I have ever been on
Kavin of Hello Singapore, a 6hr tour, was the best of the best we’ve enjoyed on our global travels. Personable, passionate and considerate - an engaging story teller elevating history to memorable light. When we ran out of our allotted time, Kavin curated an itinerary for us to hit the remaining Singaporean highlights. Co+Nut+ink became our Kavin rec trip treat ! The photo journaling he captured and shared was the best of our 18day Asian adventure. Don’t be disappointed - book with Kavin now!
Maureen was fantastic! Every need was catered too and she had the patience and skill to adapt our plans at the drop of a hat. And she's a wealth of knowledge! Every question had an answer - and if you, like myself, appreciate a deeper dive, she was happy to launch into a lesson as well.
Best Tour ever Pamela is the best guide. She took me to all the most important places a t agreat pace and lnows everything about Siingapore! She is
Gene was an excellent guide - he had prepared a custom itinerary based around my interest in Buddhism as well as the history of Singapore. We covered a lot of ground and experienced elements of local life as well as the traditional sights. The logistics were smooth and Gene was great company as well as very informative!
Gene was very professional and knowledgeable we had a very enjoyable time and would definitely recommend doing this tour with Gene. Loved our time in Singapore will definitely be back
Pam was an excellent guide on our wonderful 6 hour walking tour of Singapore! She was very knowledgeable and very personable too!! My husband, daughter, son-in-law and grandson and I all really enjoyed the tour. Since my husband and I are seniors, she didn't make it too strenuous, and we got to ride both a scenic bus and a train as well as doing a lot of walking. Singapore is a beautiful, clean, safe and very enjoyable place. We loved the hawker markets, especially in Chinatown, and our great guide, Pam (Ching Pin), directed us to the tastiest food! We especially loved the Carrot Cake, which neither has carrots nor is it cake! It's made from two delicious varieties of sweet radishes! You should try it!
We (my wife and I along with our daughter, son-in-law and 9-year old grandson) went on a 6 hour tour with Pam as our guide. Pam showed up promptly at our hotel and reviewed with us our interests, preferences and food restrictions. She then took us by bus to the civic district, where we visited several sites as she talked about the history and culture of Singapore, freely sharing some of her own family and personal history. Then we walked to and through Chinatown, culminating in a visit to a hawker center where Pam expertly ordered different dishes for us consistent with our preferences and restrictions. Then, since I had expressed a desire to see a housing complex, she took us to The Pinnacle at Buxton, where we went inside and up the roof. Since we were interested, Pam thoroughly explained the government's housing policies and talked about her own housing situation. As were getting tired, and time was up anyway, Pam walked us to the MRT and explained how to take it back to our hotel. But when she saw we were a little apprehensive about it, she led into the station and onto the train and rode back with us to our hotel, which was really above and beyond. Pam was an extremely knowledgeable, personable and kind guide, and did a great job of molding our tour to fit our interests and needs. I highly recommend a tour with this company and if possible with Pam.
Pamela was very friendly and knowledgeable. She gave us a good oversight of Singaporean culture and what it is like to live there. We especially enjoyed eating chicken and rice in the Maxwell Hawker
Our tour with Gene was one of the highlights of our visit to Singapore. He was knowledgeable, conscientious, and attentive to every detail throughout the day. His passion for Singapore's history, culture, and people brought each neighborhood to life through fascinating stories and personal insights. From learning about Peranakan culture in Katong and Joo Chiat to exploring the Merlion, Fullerton area, and Chinatown's historic temples, every stop was informative and enjoyable. Gene also introduced us to local foods and specialties along the way, explaining their cultural significance and helping us experience Singapore through its diverse culinary traditions. The food recommendations and tastings added another dimension to an already outstanding tour. As a group of senior travelers, we especially appreciated how thoughtful Gene was in Singapore's tropical heat. He adjusted the pace to our needs, made sure we had opportunities to rest and cool down, and never made us feel rushed. His awareness of our comfort and ability to tailor the tour to our group made the experience even more enjoyable. Gene's warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made the experience truly special. We left with a much deeper appreciation of Singapore and wonderful memories. Gene is an outstanding guide, and we highly recommend him.
We had booked a five-hour walking tour of Singapore. When our guide picked us up at the hotel he mentioned that it was unusually warm even for Singapore and brought us each a battery operated fan to wear around our necks. We brought our reusable water bottles completely filled. We also stopped at 711 for more water during the tour. The fans helped more than thought they would. We also took the subway in between a few of the places on the tour. We saw mosques, temples and other things we had requested. We ended the tour at the Raffles Hotel.
Amazing afternoon with Pam on our walking tour taking in Chinatown and it’s beautiful Chinese temples where Pam shared the history and her personal experience with us. Tasting the King of Fruits, durian and tea in a bag as well as bubble tea were fun for our teens. Pam made the whole tour lively with her knowledge and passion for Singapore. We all loved it!
Our Tour guide Gene was brilliant. I expected him to be knowledgeable but he really showed his passion for Singapore with local knowledge and history of the country. We covered a vast array of topics and he tools us to some of the less frequently visited locations which was precisely what we wanted. Great history, locations, people and food. We left tired but delighted with the day. Highly recommended and Gene was a credit to the tour operator and his trade. Jo & Malcolm.
Su was Very professional throughout the tour. She answered all our questions and provided a historical context for all the places we visited. Her knowledge was exceptional and made the entire tour very enjoyable. I would not hesitate to recommend Su as she is a fantastic tour guide.
Our guide Kwang provided excellent historical and cultural context throughout the tour, and took us to several unique places in addition to more well known sites. We appreciated that Hello Singapore solicited our input in advance, so Kwang built our agenda accordingly. Along the way he also showed us how to navigate the transit system, hawker centers, etc. which was helpful for the remainder of our trip. We covered a lot in 4 hours. Thanks, Kwang!
We had a wonderful day touring with Gene DC . Gene had a great plan, taking us all around Singapore , not just the typical attractions. Just the right amount of walking - no surprise that it was hot. Finished with a great meal at PS.cafe. Highly recommend Gene
Our guide came very prepared with history, pictures, and energy. Gene took us to a ton of places, we got a great introduction to Singapore, and he made my wife's birthday memorable!
Our guide Pamela was fantastic! She did both a private walking tour and a private food tour for us, both of which exceeded our expectations. She was extremely well prepared and shared her knowledge of all things Singaporean, including history, culture, traditions, etc. We highly recommend her.
We reserved a Private Custom Walking Tour of Singapore with "Hello! Singapore Tours." As first time visitors, we can't imagine a more delightful introduction to Singapore by our Tour Guide, Kavin Loi. First, before leaving home, we received a proposed itinerary with brief descriptions of several potential stops, from which we made our preliminary selections . Kavin arrived with a tentative list. As we proceeded to visit the stops, we experienced total flexibility with regard to how long to stay at each stop depending upon our level of interest. Just a wonderful day! Singapore itself was at the top of tour list of favorite cities ever visited. Barbara and Harry Sheinfeld. Springfield Virginia, USA
What a wonderful way to see Singapore if you only have one day! We did the 7 hour walking tour… our guide, Gene was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and often checked with us throughout the day to see if we needed to rest or take a break. We got to see all the highlights and items on our “must see” list. We enjoyed sampling traditional dishes at hawkers and he provided descriptions and information on each dish. We definitely recommend Gene!
Hello Singapore created a great itinerary for me from a few preferences I sent their way. They hooked me up with a seasoned guide, Pamela who was effective in sharing her experience and knowledge of the sights and sounds of vibrant Singapore which made for a very satisfying and worthwhile day
Gene was great! Got to see all the sites we wanted to see and he was very knowledgable and friendly.
Had the best time with Kwang Wei!! We only had less than 24 hours in Singapore, so really wanted to maximize our time there. Felt like we were able to see the major sights and still get a taste of the food and culture by doing the tour. Kwang Wei was so kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely fun to be around during our walking tour! Thank you for such a great day :)
Pam gave us a great look at some religious sites, market and eating areas and well known landmarks in Singapore. She was knowledgeable and sharing. Her driver, Yanli, got us around safely and was quite helpful with our luggage and support needs. All onboard seemed to love the tour.
We had an incredible eight-hour driving/walking tour with Gee Soo the guide and Bernie the driver. Gee Soo gave us interesting stories and details about the places we went, and shared some of his life experiences in Singapore. We visited the Kali temple in little India, Gardens by the Bay, Raffles Hotel, and Chinatown. We had chicken-rice for lunch and some great coffee in the afternoon. The highlight of the trip was the National Orchid Garden. I had no idea there was such a huge variety of beautiful ochids, and the kind of breeding they do here. Best for people who can do some walking and want depth and details for unique places in Singapore.
Our tour with Gee Soo yesterday was one of the best tours I've ever taken, and I wish I could give him more than five stars. He came to our hotel to meet us and asked us a few questions to get to know us and our experience of Singapore and our expectations for the day, then explained his plans and made sure all six of us were on board. We visited all of the places we'd requested (Little India and the Sri Veeramakaliamman (Kali) Temple, Gardens by the Bay, the National Orchard Garden, and the Merlion Statue); Gee added Marina Barrage, Raffles Hotel, and the City Gallery, plus stops for lunch (chicken rice) and coffee with kaya toast, all of which added to our appreciation of Singapore. Along the way, Gee told us about the sights we were seeing, listened to and answered our questions, talked about life in Singapore, pointed out photo opportunities, took LOTS of photos of the group and of individual couples, and made the day special over and over. I'd be remiss not to mention Bernie, our driver, who got us from place to place in comfort and safety (and added information when needed). A few hours after the tour, Gee sent us the photos he'd taken and a recap of the day. All six of us wanted to give him at least six stars, but TripAdvisor won't let us! Thanks, Gee and Bernie!
We had a wonderful day with Kavin! We saw a lot of Singapore in 5 hours but never felt rushed. He was fun to hang out with for the day. Lots of great history was shared and we walked away feeling like we had a new friend!
Gee was the most amazing guide. So thoughtful and very informative - you can tell he loves Singapore. Highly recommend.
We had the most wonderful introduction to Singapore with guide Gee and bus driver Neo. There were 15 of us ranging from 82 to 8. I feel it was far less stressful being all together with a knowledgeable guide than trying to manage us all with an hop on /off bus. Gee was so kind, knowledgeable and welcoming. It was all that I had hoped for...
This was the highlight of our trip to Singapore! Pam was an amazing, knowledgeable and engaging guide. We got to see the best of the City, and discovered dishes and neighbourhoods I never would have found on my own. Absolutely worth it — a must-do in Singapore! Highly recommend Pam if she's available!
We met our guide Gee Soo at our arranged location and visited four neighborhoods over the course of a 6-hour tour. I think we had a total of 18 food and drink tastings that sampled across traditional Chinese, Malay, Peranakan, Indonesian and Indian foods. Gee Soo was very knowledgeable of the food its origins and history of the cultures. We learned a lot of what it is like to in Singapore as a local. Of our trip in Asia across several countries, this tour was a highlight and I would highly recommend travelers to include it in their itineraries.
Su was outstanding! She gave us a fantastic overview of Singapore. She was knowledgeable, friendly and paced the tour well. The heat was absolutely stifling, but she made sure we were hydrated and rested as needed. I highly recommend Su!!
We had a fantastic tour with Su Ling. She was very knowledgeable and attentive to our needs and interests. We saw so much of Singapore, and all of it was fantastic. From discovering the F1 track to the beauty and nature of Singapore, which was a real surprise. All the stops we had were well thought out and exactly the right amount of time. The fact that it was a private tour meant that Su Ling could cater to our own interests. Will recommend Su Ling to all of our friends who visit Singapore. Highly recommend!
We enjoyed our walking tour with our personal guide Gee Soo, Boo. He was excellent, did a fantastic job of taking us everywhere we wanted to go. Very informative, gave us lots of information and answered all our questions. He made us feel comfortable and was attentive and kind. At the end of the tour he felt like a new friend. He took and showed us areas and views that we would never find on our own. I highly recommend him and this walking tour.
First, we took the MRT train to the historical part of Singapore. We went up to the National Gallery to have a good view of the surroundings and walked into the former Parliament House. We also saw the Raffles statue, strolled along the Singapore River to the Fullerton Hotel, and ate our local ice cream sandwiches. Walked through a tunnel and popped up at Marina Bay. We walked into Chinatown and saw the oldest Chinese temple, Thian Hock Keng Temple. Took a little break at Amoy Hawker Centre, where you tried the curry puff and journeyed into the heart of Chinatown. We took another break at a local coffee place, where you tried our local breakfast of tea, soft-boiled eggs and kaya toast. After Chinatown, we took the MRT to Little India, walked around the area a little and moved to Kampong Glam, the Malay quarter, saw the Sultan Mosque and spotted the glass bottles. We finished with a walk through Haji Lane. Pam was our guide she was knowledgeable, thoughtful, and funny! She took amazing photos of us and the sent us a link at the end of the tour! Highly recommend to anyone looking for an immersive experience!
Gee was an amazing guide. Showed his love for this beautiful place. Very knowledgeable and showed us many things. Always good to have a guide that knows what he is talking about.
Pam was fabulous to tour Singapore with, and she was wonderfully engaging. Not only did she have a thorough knowledge of Singapore’s history, but she was also outstanding at giving thoughtful answers to all of our questions. The itinerary was tailored to exactly what we asked to see, as well as a very cool lunch at a hawker in Chinatown, which was a fabulous view into daily local culture. Pam is very easy to talk to and very pleasant to spend the day with. We loved every minute of it.
Such a great tour! We did the 5 hour tour with our teenage girls and I cannot recommend it enough! It was our first time in Singapore and we had just landed after a 13hour flight, so initially thought it was a mistake. But we were wrong, our guide Gee was fantastic, showed us all the main sights and added a lot of local knowledge with plenty of stops and lots of story’s along the way. The most surprising bit was my teens reaction, they loved it and our guide Gee. Would definitely recommend!
Bespoke 5 hour tour of the city‘s attractions tailored to our wishes: - Singapore Flyer for an overview - Marina Bay, iconic Marina Bay Sands and the Merlion - exploration of the colonial part of the nation, the Raffles statue and the old Parliament House. - breakfast in one of the local breakfast chains with local coffee, kaya toast & soft-boiled eggs. - further to the heart of Chinatown. - passi by oldest Hindu temple, Sri Mariamman temple, and we also entered the Buddhist temple. - lastly, a tea appreciation. We consider ourselves lucky to have had Pamela „Pam“ as our super-friendly, knowledgeable guide :)
Richard and captain bernie are an amazing team There was a group of 9 of us and we had age ranges from 13 to 85 Richard was an excellent guide with so many stories and so much knowledge about every aspect of Singapore He tailored the tour exactly to our needs ensuring each member of the group’s wishes were taken care of He has a lot of knowledge about local food joints and shopping etc which he shares as extras and was very kind to let us message him after the tour to ask about these Captain Bernie is also a very safe driver who ensured my mum never had to walk too far to anywhere All in all we had so much fun and we learnt so much also Amazing
Our tour guide Kwang was fun, energetic and kind! We had a great day touring Singapore. Our favorite parts were learning about the history of Chinatown, the places of worship and the hawker’s markets. He even found a great place for us to have lunch that would accommodate our dietary restrictions.
My wife, sone and I joined a 6-hour food tour with Hello Food Tours, and it was truly one of the highlights of our time in Singapore. While we knew we'd be eating well, we didn’t anticipate just how thoughtfully curated and culturally rich this experience would be. The tour took us through several of Singapore’s most iconic neighborhoods — from Katong and Kampong Glam to Little India — offering not just an incredible variety of dishes but a real sense of the communities behind them. We started with flaky chicken curry puffs, kaya toast, soft-boiled eggs, and kopi at Soon Soon Huat, followed by stunning Nonya rice dumplings and traditional sweets at Kim Choo. The Katong Laksa at Marine Parade was a standout, as were the Hokkien mee, carrot cake, and otah-otah at Old Airport Road — all classics executed to perfection. Our journey continued with beef rendang and tauhu telor in Kampong Glam, murtabak from Zam Zam, and finally paper dosai and mango lassi in Little India. Yes, it was long — but in the best possible way. The extended format allowed for a deeper dive into the neighborhoods and their emblematic foods, something a shorter tour simply couldn’t offer. Our guide was fantastic: knowledgeable, warm, and deeply passionate about Singaporean cuisine. They helped us sample the very best versions of each dish, providing cultural context that brought every bite to life. If you're a food lover, this tour is a must. Come hungry — and curious. — Neil K.
A lot of interesting facts about history and present life of Singapore from charming Gee Soo as our guide. Our program was tailored to our needs very well, including help with finding some special shops. It is not easy to survive 6 hours in the hot Singapore, but Gee Soo combined the logistics just the right way so we always had a moment of fresh and cool air on the way. Highly recommended!
We had a fantastic day exploring Singapore with Gene! The tour was the perfect mix of culture, history, and local life — from temples and hawker centres to hidden gems in Tiong Bahru and the stunning Gardens by the Bay. Gene was knowledgeable, engaging, and full of great recommendations. We especially appreciated the follow-up summary and photos — such a thoughtful touch! Highly recommended for anyone wanting a deeper, more personal look at Singapore.
Gene was my guide and he did an awesome job of helping me walk & eat my way through Singapore! Courteous, friendly, and great communication in advance, Gene was very knowledgeable, and I would recommend him to anyone wanting to explore Singapore!
Su Ling was a professional and well prepared guide. We were able to visit everything we requested on our customized itinerary and she was very adept at maximizing the public transportation for an efficient experience. The stories she shared could only have been known by a local. It was a wonderful experience and we would highly recommend Su Ling and Hello Singapore tours.
