Easy to Hop On and Hop Off whenever you wish to. Whatever attraction in Singapore you wish to see the bus has a convenient stop nearby.
Great experience. One driver was impatient though🤨 and did not wait for passengers to be seated. Hazardous for aged
Always a good start to get to know a city. You get an excellent overall view of the highways of the city
Excellent Guide perfect places selection!!
This was a fantastic way to get around and explore Singapore. The commentary was very informative. It was also great to have the option of sitting at the top in the open air or down in air conditioning.
Before I write anything, please note that the Singapore Big Bus two- day ticket is, in fact, a 48 hour pass. I.e. if you activate the ticket at, say, 12:00 on day-1 then it is valid until 11:59 on day-3. (I was incorrectly told by the BB Customer Services that it was strictly a 2 calendar-day pass.) The Big Bus is an excellent way to get an overview of Singapore. There are two routes and I suggest that you go round both before then deciding where you'd like to explore in more detail. There's lots of choice but areas that my wife and I enjoyed were Little India, the Marina Bay and especially walks around the Botanic Gardens.
Difficult to locate stops no signage for stops. No staff at stops that aren't interchange. No info what's around each stop No rough time for next bus times
Great way to great an overview of Singapore. Easy to find the stops. Staff was friendly. It was nice that they had 2 routes.
Singapore - All staff are polite and helpful, bus drivers clear voice announcing stops, traffic not congested so departures were on time, air-con a blessing, Big Bus app a must
It is not as simple as hop on hop off! We spent at least 1/2 an hour after we got on (at stop 12) with the driver processing payments for those without tickets before we left the stop. This was very frustrating and happened (although not as long) at each stop! We found the bus to be very dirty also. The route itself was good (we did the yellow line) but we were very frustrated and hot by the time we got off. It would be much better if they made it necessary to pre purchase tickets or had someone at the stop or on the bus to process the payments and answer questions and let the driver concentrate on getting you from A to B in reasonable time... without holdups at every stop. We certainly would not do this again.
Two days of a wonderful tour around fascinating parts of Singapore; enjoyed the cooler lower deck. Hop on and off was convenient.
Like most hop on hop off buses, the experience was positive. It gave a good idea of the key tourist sites that were only accessible through the bus. Relaxing way to get a feel for the city. It doesn't cover all the hot spots but it is a start.
GREAT WAY TO SEE THE CITY IF YOU HAVE A BIT OF TIME. We were not sure if this was a good use of our time. But we got to see the whole city and it was wonderful.
This is a great introduction to Singapore by travelling around on both routes and listening to the comentary to get an insite into where your would prefer to get off at and explore. The buses only have shelter at the back to keep you from the intense sun, so sometimes it might be better to sit downstairs where it is airconditioned. The only problem I found was that there was a long wait between services due to the large amount of traffic in Singapore making ontime running impossible.
very hard to find. no signage at any stops. even the agent said when he went to his interview for the job...he couldn't find it
HORRIBLE TOUR! Bus was 20mins late, we waited at our stop #13 was not informed we needed to be at stop #1...the tour's beginning stop. Was the bus driver suppose to be the tour guide as well? He did not provide any information about what we were seeing, only announced the stops. We had to figure out from the map what we were looking at. We were not offered ear phones. Another tourist said they didn't work anyway. If you wanted to get off at a stop, the bus driver only stopped for 2 seconds and would leave immediately. You needed to already be at the door, waiting to jump off. He gave you NO time to get to the door from the upper deck. He seem rushed, lazy, careless. THIS WAS A WASTE OF TIME AND MY MONEY! I still don't know what we saw.
A great way to see all of the city and easy pick up stops to allow you to explore areas some more. The staff at the starting point are fabulous and helpful especially Mr Winston Goh who was so lpvely and engaging and provided excellent suggestions of places to visit and eat. He was truly a lovely gentleman.
We love these tour bus routes. A great way to learn about Singapore. Great to hop on and hop off, lots of drop off points. Great value for money for our 2 day ticket, plus the helpful app !
A great experience around Singapore
We were only in Singapore for four days. We did the hoho tour and night tour on the Saturday and Sunday and it was great. Big shout out to our excellent guide, Peter, our night tour guide, who was so informative and knowledgeable about all of the different points of interest. Also, Larry the bus driver. The night tour was just the best as we stopped for a food tasting session at Lau Pa Sat, (Clock Tower ) and tasted the loveliest chicken satay. Peter articulated himself very well and everyone was aware of what they had to do and what we had to wonder before regrouping to continue the tour. The 3 hours flew by. We did both routes over the 2 days and personally, I feel this is the best way to see the city and then decide where to go back to. Highly recomend. Great value for money.
Booked the 48 hour HOHO that included the night tour online. We felt it was value for money and the perfect way to see the best of Singapore, in the four days we were there. I downloaded the app, which meant I could activate the tickets, without having to go / start at the Suntech Hub. Buses ran regular and on time. On entering the bus, you are provided with pre-packed earphones which I listened to the tours in English. I liked that you were able to swop and change between the red or yellow line at anytime within the 48 hours. For the night tour, Peter was our guide and Larry the captain (driver). Both were welcoming and friendly. Peter was an excellent tour guide who spoke good English, kept a good pace and stopped intermittently to allow everyone to take pictures, have free time and re-group when necessary. Having a wealth of experience, Peter took us to his favourite spot, allowing us optimal visual to experience the light show at The Bay Gardens. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
The map provided by Viator didn’t identify where you could pick up the bus. I walked approx 3 miles in various directions looking for a pick up sign. I asked other bus drivers that had not heard of the hop on/off bus. Also asked a number of merchants, ultimately giving up. Tried to get my money back but was told I still had time to go. I was tired after all the walking and had another tour the following day. Very disappointed that Viator would not refund my money.
This was a great tour to see many places within a short time and explore further if you so choose to do so. The directions to locate them were clear, ticketing process was easy , announcements via the speaker system very informative about the history and culture of places along the bus route. I liked that they have two routes you can choose from or do both. And what I think was a plus was that a 24 hr pass is not limited to a calendar day but 24hrs from the time you first begin so you can use on the next day depending on what time you begin. I would definitely recommend.
Overpriced . Waited an hour for a bus to come . Rude staff who abused me . One bus driver saw us running to get on the bus & just drove off . Don’t waste your time doing this tour .
Exceptional. The red tour was really good. Yellow one the commentary did not match the place. It says look out on yr left there is this but when u do its either past or hasnt happened. Both tours were quiet long we didnt get off just did the loop. I had tours booked for other destinations so no need for us to get off. Overall we had an awsome time. Staff were really helpful and everything went smoothly. Its worth it, good way to see the city without the need to get off. We enjoyed our tour.
Start early, lots to see and do. The trips take about 45 min each but you see a lots of sights and areas
Don’t bother with this - it is wildly overpriced for a route which can easily be conducted on foot or using Singapore public transport like the subway for some parts. Commentary is dated and dull. You can see all there is to see by other means.
It was a good experience minus the fact that the canopy could have extended more on the top of the bus to shield us from the hot Singapore sun. Also the audio jacks/headset cut in and out
It was a good night tour with a Big Bus especially with our very energetic tour guide Edna. We were shy at first because we were the only Filipino there but because how Edna handle us it feels easy and fun.
You can wait a long time between buses. Not being able to have food on the bus was a little difficult as at times you were onboard for a long time. not all drivers announce the upcoming stop so beneficial to have the app or map.
it was hard to find the depot from the directions that we had. Other than that it was good we just didn't have enough time to enjoy it
Reasonable two day bus pass, two routes, audio guide . Convenient and well explained stops. Thorough brochures. Exhilarating ride on top. Some shade from tarp. Great stops National botanic garden (free!) including optional wonderful ORCHID garden. (Fee) . Plenty of access stops to the Sands, Gardens by the Bay, Chinatown, Little India, Sultan’s Mosque, Raffles hotel.
I was in Singapore for a very short amount of time and wanted to see as much as possible - Big Bus Tours was the best way to do this. There are two routes, both going to the main sights in Singapore. I’d recommend doing both routes fully first whilst listening to the audio guide on board, then afterwards stopping and getting off at different points. Drivers were friendly, buses were frequent, the audio guide was clear and I really liked using the Big Bus Tours app - it made finding bus stops easier and had approximate timings for buses arriving. Paper maps and headphones are provided when you first get on a bus. I bought the 48 hour ticket, but with careful planning could have potentially done it all in the 24hrs one. Definitely worth the money as once you’ve fine the tour you feel satisfied that you’ve seen everything Singapore has to offer!
This does what it says- there are 2 routes each serving very different themes- city and heritage - because of this options to change from one route to the other are limited. The commentary is informative, wi-fi on board is helpful and staff are courteous. We had a 2 day ticket which included the night tour- this was underwhelming. First stop at 6 pm at a viewpoint - nice photos but didn’t really need to have a 15 min talk about a reservoir! Secondly - hawkers food centre - we knew there would be satay tastings ( get your elbows sharpened) but it wasn’t clear the stop here was an hour ( free time) so you could eat …. We had eaten before the tour so this was an hour of hanging around waiting. Finally the gardens by the bay light show where you miss half the “trees” as you are perched on rocks trying to see. My advice- grab a taxi and just go to the light show independently. Return journey was laughable as the guide -Roger kept playing the “ I’m going to take you on an unscheduled detour ( because I’m so great) to see the Merlion” (because I want your tips!) charade! Buses run from around 9:30-6 pm, approx 30 mins apart. Each circular route takes around 90 mins For us , 6 pm was too early - wish they’d run a bit later
Two different routes of Singapore main areas, nice and smooth sightsee of the city, each route duration of 1h and 1.5h approximately - easy to do as a all-sights-in-a-day trip.
It’s a simple and easy way to see the city. If you have time use this approach. If you only have limited time use GRAB and have more direct tours
Awesome sights and the routes were fantastic! Thoroughly enjoyed the flexibility to hop on and off at different attractions as we felt led. Definitely the best way to spend money on sightseeing at your own leisure within the 24hour timeframe.
The audio is very informative. The signing for the stops in some cases did not exist, and we were not informed about the live tracking making pickup at The Bay Gardens very stressful, but it was at the end of our tiring day.
Very easy to book online put tickets in wallet and go to any of the numerous stops available on the 2 buses
Winston was particularly helpful advising us how close our accimmodation was to nearest stop.
Great way to get to know the city
It's a nice way to get a City overview. But, many of the audio plug-ins didn't work in multiple buses, and some drivers were very hard to understand so not easy to know what stop you are at.
This was the best way to get around Singapore. We booked for one day and then extended the ticket for a second.
Not worth it, MRT is cheaper and easier to get around to all the sites. Head sets, only one ear piece worked and not all the headphone commentary ports worked on some seats.
Purchased ticket from this sight they didn't email correct vouchers ended up having to waste half a day sorting ticket out! They only sent night tour details not day tour Barcode. If you want a seamless trip and transction no hassles dont use this site try another one!
When we got to the pickup location we were greeted by Winston. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was very organized and had a way of talking to everyone and making them feel special. The tour guide was great. He gave us good information and did his best to keep things on schedule. After an amazing night experience he even asked us what hotels we were all staying at and dropped us off as close as possible. The Chicken Satay was amazing!
I had such a wonderful experience
Bus stops not sign posted so hard to locate. Doesn’t stop long enough at each stop to allow time to get off.
The bus was clean, easy to follow the routes online. It went everywhere. I would suggest it to get around Singapore
