(do note that everything here is purely based on my own experience and opinion as a local who has gone on staycations at a few other hotels in singapore!) personally, i found the room size to be on the smaller end, so i would recommend checking the exact room size stated on their website or trip.com before booking. admittedly, it was my own negligence for not checking beforehand, but i was quite surprised when i entered the room as it felt even smaller than some of the hotels i’ve stayed at in japan. considering that it is a 4-star hotel, i also expected a little more in terms of the overall experience, aside from just the room size. for example, the soundproofing could have been better as i could hear guests in the neighbouring rooms using their hairdryers, as well as opening and closing their doors. this could possibly be due to how close the rooms are to one another. i also found the location of the lobby and concierge a little inconvenient. after entering from level 1, we had to either take another lift or climb the stairs before walking over to the lobby. basically, the hotel lift does not bring you directly to level 1, which felt rather inconvenient in my opinion. i was also quite surprised that there was no toilet available at the hotel lobby. there was also no hot and cold water dispenser in the room or around the lift area, so if you wanted hot water, you would have to boil it yourself. the water heater in the room was also not the easiest to adjust, as it took quite a while for the temperature to change between hot and cold. that said, the location is definitely one of the better things about the hotel. it is located right beside shaw theatre and is easily accessible to other places around orchard, such as ion and tangs plaza, so there are plenty of food and shopping options nearby. the service was also good. i booked this staycation for my partner’s birthday, and the hotel prepared four donuts for us, which i thought was a really thoughtful gesture. overall, this is just my personal experience and opinion, and everyone may have a different experience depending on what they prioritise when booking a staycation!

If you’re looking for a clean room to sleep in and a good location, this is a good hotel for that. The location is convenient, and the room was clean enough for a comfortable stay. However, the room design is quite unusual and not very practical. The sink being right next to the bed was especially uncomfortable and, personally, it gave the room a feeling of not being as hygienic or comfortable as it could be. Overall, it’s a good option if your priorities are location and a clean place to sleep, but the room design could definitely be improved.
Staying at Yotel was a very pleasant experience. The room was not as small as I expected, and there was plenty of space to put my luggage and belongings. The room facilities were complete, including a mini fridge, hair dryer, and iron. The smart bed was interesting. The breakfast was delicious, with plenty of vegan options, which was helpful for Muslim guests. I had to check out early because of my flight, and Yotel kindly prepared takeaway breakfast for me. I also made a special request for an extra blanket because I was sharing a bed with my colleague. The request was promptly arranged and the extra blanket was already prepared in our room. There's also a business centre as a complimentary to guests. Thank you, Yotel, for the great hospitality!
I had a pleasant stay at YOTEL Singapore Orchard Road. The hotel's biggest advantage is definitely its location. Situated right in the heart of Orchard Road, it is within walking distance of many shopping malls, restaurants, and MRT stations, making it extremely convenient for exploring Singapore. The room was on the smaller side, but that is quite common for hotels in Singapore, especially in prime locations like Orchard. Despite the compact size, the room was well-designed and equipped with useful amenities such as an iron, hair dryer, umbrella, and sufficient storage space, making the stay comfortable and practical. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. One area that could be improved is the reception and luggage storage process. There was a long queue at the front desk, even for guests who only wanted to drop off or collect their luggage. While self-check-in kiosks were available, many guests did not seem to use them. Having a staff member readily available to assist guests with the kiosks, like the assistance I received upon arrival, would help reduce waiting times significantly. Overall, YOTEL offers great value for its prime Orchard location. The hotel is clean, modern, and conveniently located. Despite the queue at reception, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to travelers looking for a comfortable and well-connected base in Singapore.
We spent four nights at the YOTEL Hotel in Singapore. We had two small, adjoining rooms—one for us adults, one for our teenage kids. The views were fantastic. The rooms are compact—no closet, just a coat rack and small luggage space. Beds were large and comfy. Bathrooms had frosted glass partitions, and the sink was in the room. There’s no traditional lobby or concierge—self-check-in/out is done at the reception desk or at a computer. It’s only a two-minute walk to restaurants and malls, some of which are underground. You stay dry on the way to there when it's raining. I would go there anytime again.
