Compared to Village Hotel Bugis, this hotel is smaller, but I actually preferred the location. It’s in a very convenient area, with two 7-Eleven stores just steps away and the MRT station only about a 5-minute walk. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and we were pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary room upgrade. A special thank you to the receptionist on duty on the evening of June 13, 2026, for the kind hospitality. It made our stay even more enjoyable. 😊
This was my third stay at this hotel, and once again the experience exceeded my expectations. The staff were consistently professional, attentive, and welcoming, making me feel valued throughout my stay. The room was comfortable, impeccably clean, and maintained to a very high standard. The hotel’s excellent location, quality facilities, and commitment to guest satisfaction continue to make it my preferred choice whenever I visit Singapore. This hotel is conveniently connected to Rocher and Little India. We had a comfortable stay without any problem or disturbance. The receptionist was kind enough to upgrade to an executive room. This hotel has a cool vintage vibe and decent in house restaurant serving good and customised Indian delicacies. I would certainly look forward to have my future stay with them.
Poor Hospitality, Nice Location, Heritage Charm, (Mixed experience for a stay of 5 nights) Why Stay Here + Rochor MRT (Blue Line) is 5-minute walk + Little India, find plenty vegetarian food options (5 minutes away via the rear gate). + Early check-in was accommodated on request (via MakeMyTrip). + Clean, well-maintained rooms and bathrooms with Bathtub (perfect for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing walks) + Kettle, iron, ironing board, and hair dryer provided in the room. + 7-Eleven nearby for essentials. + Juice vending machine right opposite the hotel. + Grocery store opposite the hotel with vegetarian ready-to-eat options, including Maggie. + Gym has all decent functional amenities. 👎 Why You May Not Choose It - Front desk staff were consistently cold, unwelcoming throughout the 5-day stay. - Responses often felt abrupt and at times rude, with little effort to make guests feel welcome or valued.(As if people are staying for free) - The bellboy was the only staff member who consistently greeted guests with a smile and provided friendly service. - For a room costing over ~150 SGD per night (~Rs.11000) the hotel lacks premium touches such as slipper, bathrobes welcome staff etc. - No dedicated drinking water dispenser, guests are expected to use filtered water from the bathroom tap. (Singapore tap water is safe basis WHO study) - No swimming pool. - The in-house restaurant may not be suitable for strict vegetarians, as vegetarian and non-vegetarian food are prepared in the same kitchen with shared utensils. Overall A great choice for MRT connectivity, access to Little India, vegetarian food options, cleanliness, and heritage charm. However, the front desk service falls well below expectations and significantly impacts the overall guest experience. With warmer hospitality and a few additional amenities, this could easily be a much higher-rated stay.
We had a wonderful stay at Albert Court hotel. The location is excellent, very convenient for getting around and exploring the city, and the bed was extremely comfortable, which made our rest perfect after long days out. However, the most important impression of our stay was the receptionist, Cammy. We stayed at this hotel twice, and both times she welcomed us warmly. She is a lovely, kind, and highly professional young woman who immediately recognized our needs and was an exceptional host. Her warmth and genuine care truly made us feel at home. We said goodbye with a hug and a promise that we will return to Singapore and when we do, we will definitely stay here again.
