Overall, my stay was just okay. Check-in was quite busy with a long queue, and I felt the experience was a little rushed. There was very little introduction to the hotel facilities, such as the gym, swimming pool and breakfast location. Even as a Silver member, I was not informed about the welcome benefit or where breakfast would be served, so I had to ask or find the information myself. When I first entered my room, there was an unpleasant smell, so I had to return to reception and request assistance. Reception responded quickly and arranged another room for me on Level 10, which was much better. There were still a few maintenance issues in the new room, including some water leakage and an issue with the extendable reading light. However, I appreciated that I could report the problems easily by scanning the QR code, and the response was very quick. I would especially like to thank the male staff member at reception who helped make my new room key and assisted with the room change. Unfortunately, I did not get his name, but his service was friendly and helpful. Overall, the stay was acceptable, but the guest experience could be improved, particularly during check-in, with clearer information about hotel facilities and member benefits, as well as better room checks before arrival.

Great hotel (near to Orchard road) with good service and a comfortable stay. Special thanks to Kamala for the warm hospitality and excellent service. The check-in process was smooth, efficient, and hassle-free. Really appreciate the professionalism and friendly attitude. Highly recommended!
Mercure Singapore on Stevens has by far become my favourite place to stay whenever I’m in Singapore! The staff are always lovely, welcoming and more than happy to help with anything you need. The bar is fantastic and a great place to relax after a long day. One of the biggest highlights is the amount of food options. Between the restaurants inside the hotel and all the options just outside, you’re absolutely spoilt for choice and could stay here for days without getting bored. The hotel restaurant on the second level is also amazing, with great food and fantastic service every time. Great location, great atmosphere and even better people. It’s become my home away from home whenever I’m in Singapore! 🇸🇬🍻
Overall, I had a good experience staying at Mercure on Stevens. I was warmly welcomed by Afika, who kindly arranged a complimentary early check-in, which I really appreciated. The hotel is located in a great neighborhood, not far from Orchard Road. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel, and the nearest MRT station is about a 14-minute walk away, making it convenient to get around Singapore. The only downside was the breakfast experience. Although the staff worked hard to manage the crowd, the breakfast area became very congested, especially between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. The long queues and limited menu selection could be improved to provide a better guest experience. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and I appreciate the hospitality of the team. Keep up the good work.
I booked a Superior Room for seven nights and, as a Gold Accor Plus member, I understand that I am entitled to a complimentary room upgrade upon availability. At the time of booking, upgraded rooms were showing as available, yet I was allocated the same room category. When I contacted the operator to enquire about this, I was told that the only difference between a Superior Room and a Deluxe Room was the complimentary minibar. Even then, I had to call almost every day to remind staff to replenish it, which should not have been necessary. On several other occasions, I contacted the operator for simple requests, such as a nail file and later a plate and knife. Each time, the response felt cold and unhelpful. I was even told to buy a nail file from 7-Eleven, although I eventually obtained one from a room service staff member who happened to be outside my room. When I requested a plate and knife, I was advised there would be a $5 charge. Another disappointment was the Gold member welcome amenity. At most Accor properties, I have received a bottle of wine or a fruit basket, which is a thoughtful gesture. At this hotel, I received a small box of coconut jam, which was of no practical use to me as I ate most of my meals outside the hotel. Overall, this was not a particularly pleasant stay. While the room rate was slightly better than the neighbouring Novotel and some other nearby hotels, the service and recognition of Accor Gold membership fell well below my expectations. I hope the hotel takes this feedback seriously and improves both its customer service and the consistency of its loyalty member benefits.
