Hotel Nuve Urbane

Had a 1 night stay here. The staff is very friendly & helpful. Requested a happy birthday & anniversary decoration upon check-in and the hotel did good job with the deco. They even provide with mini snack bar at the lobby while waiting for check-in. More snacks also provided inside the room. There was 1 empty parking slot that was actually for handicaps, but the hotel staff is kind enough to give us the slot for the night. Room a bit small for the price & ventilation a bit poor. There was dampy smell when we first enter probably due to the wet carpet floor. But they make it up with the strategic location and the nice gazebo & jacuzzi pool. Only walking distance to various tourist attraction such as the Arab Street, Sultan Mosque & Malay Heritage Museum. Overall a good stay & totally recommended.

The hotel is very nice, with a pool, which unfortunately when I was there in March was anything but not inviting for swimming, as it is not really well maintained and the nozzles did not work but very clean rooms and with a bed, which completely occupies the room. The roller blinds were also not possible to open on the 2nd floor, because of the building close by. The air conditioning works perfectly. The location is also great, everything is nearby and there are cheap restaurants in the area. However, it was very loud in the corridors during the time I was there, in the evening. Every time, whether I came from dinner or went out later for a walk, I always heard moans in the hallways, which is why I felt more like I was in an hourly hotel instead of a normal hotel.

My recent 3-night stay had to be extended to 5 nights at the last minute, and the same room was kindly arranged for me even though hotel was fully booked, which saved the hassle of moving to a different room and floor (lotsa stuff + fractured ankle). A cosy double room with common balcony looking out onto King George’s road, it was quiet notwithstanding roadworks out front. I was also happily surprised by the firm and comfy mattress, and the complimentary minibar (soft drinks and snacks) added a pleasant touch to what was indeed a peaceful and restful stay. Big thank you to Manager Serene, front desk Wei Xiang, and the entire housekeeping team who were all superb, and who made my first-time stay here a truly memorable one - a home away from home. Planning to be back in Singapore in August with the entire family for at least a week, we will certainly be lodging here, and I look forward to seeing you all again soon!

We had a great stay. The ladies on reception looked after us very well when we arrived. Our original room was tiny, but they were able to relocate us.
