Citadines Science Park Singapore

I have just spent 10 days at this hotel while attending a conferences at NUS. It was extremely comfortable and ideal for the stay. The rooms are compact but reasonably sized with a good bathroom and small kitchenette (sink, microwave, fridge, cutlery, plates) if you want to cook simply for yourself. There is a good buffet breakfast - not extensive, but more than enough. The infinity swimming pool is beautiful with comfortable seating around it - I used this much more than I expected to. My only feedback is 1) that communal space is a bit limited, 2) that breakfast can be a bit hectic (sometimes mobbed by visiting school groups) and 3) you can't easily get much to eat or drink (there is a cafe on the ground floor, but not always open). It's close to Kent Ridge MRT and Geneo which has a selection of restaurants (Putien was good). All in all, perfect for my stay.

Very convenient location for business trip near Science Park. The room is extremely spacious and very comfortable. Self check in / check out is easy and convenient. Breakfast is self-service and very limited, but you can order delivery.

Disappointing — persistent musty smell and poor ventilation I really wanted to like this place, but the issues were hard to ignore. The suite had a constant musty smell, and once I looked closer I found mould growing in the silicone sealant around the shower. There were also small bugs in the bedroom, which was unsettling. The root of the problem seems to be ventilation. There’s a washing machine inside the suite, and they keep its door closed, which traps moisture and is clearly the source of the musty odour. Rather than fixing the underlying ventilation issue, they just masked it with an ionizer — a cover-up, not a solution. On top of that, they switch the AC off in the room while you’re out, so you return to a hot, humid space every time. Any food or drinks you’ve left behind sit exposed to that heat all day, which is both unpleasant and unhygienic. Terrible experience overall. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Great stay overall. The initial room facing AYE was a bit noisy, but the front desk quickly arranged a quieter room with a nice pool view. Minor room issues were fixed promptly with no hassle. Special thanks to Derence and Boon Bin for their attentive and professional service. Would stay here again.
