I should have looked at the reviews first while booking the place. My check in date was 23rd March..I arrived early at the hotel around 10 AM and Mr. Jackson at the reception asked me if I want to check in.. I said Yes - assuming that the room is ready for me to check in early. He swiped my card to deduct money and later when I asked for room key - he cheekily said all the rooms are currently occupied and please come back at 2PM to see if the room is ready.. I somewhere felt cheated.. he should have told me that the rooms are not available and they do not have a single couch to wait due to renovation. I could have cancelled the reservation for that night, paid cancellation fees and booked another hotel which had room available.. but by deducting the money upfront - I had no other option. I was jet lagged, tired and sleepy. I didn't expect such a cold behaviour of Mr. Jackson towards me. The lady at the reception said that she will try to ask and speed up the cleaning process and let me know when my room was ready. It was finally 3 PM and I went to the reception after waiting for 5 hours in the pool area coz I didn't have energy to go outside and explore the city. Neither Mr. Jackson and the lady were at the reception. Another guy from the team gave me the keys and I could finally rest. However, the location of this place is good, rooms are relatively small but manageable and breakfast had lesser options. Who serves chicken curry and bread for breakfast? But anyways - I can manage with lesser breakfast options but not with people like Mr. Jackson who lack empathy. While checking out, I thankfully looked at him and noted down his name.. He smiled - and later I think he discussed my discomfort with his colleagues and laughed. Please check the cameras as you will have my checkout time recorded in your system. If you find nothing wrong with the video - please share it so that people could judge it. When I looked at the reviews - I realised it's not just me - many people have complained about the staff behaviour. The views from their kitchen are great and only if the staff at reception was more warm and attentive - it would have been a very good experience.

Our stay at Citadines Raffles Place Singapore was overall good The location is definitely a strong point — being right in the heart of Raffles Place makes it very convenient for exploring the city and accessing public transport. The rooms were clean and modern, and the basic amenities were provided as expected. The facilities, including the rooftop area, were pleasant and added value to the stay. The overall experience felt more functional than exceptional. Service was polite but not particularly personalized. In summary, it’s a solid and practical option for a short stay in Singapore, especially for business or city trips.
Our family’s first trip to Singapore as senior citizens was filled with beautiful memories, particularly the stunning views from levels 17 and 51. However, our experience at this hotel was a mix of high-quality facilities and disappointing service. - Location: Unbeatable. Conveniently located near Lau Pa Sat, 7-Elevens, banks, money changers, and all public transport (Bus, Taxi, MRT). - Service Excellence: Mr. Jun and Ms. Kiki were outstanding. Their genuine concern and helpfulness represent the best of hospitality. - Ambience & Upkeep: The lobby has a calming fragrance, and the housekeeping team is efficient, keeping the rooms clean and tidy. The "stylish and advanced" setting of the hotel is impressive. - Management Failure: We were deeply distressed by the conduct of the Night Manager, Mr. Pawin, and the Operations Supervisor, Ms. Amber. Their attitude was dismissive and sarcastic. We felt "chased away" when trying to communicate, and they continued to mumble, giggle, and prioritize movies/games over assisting us. As senior citizens, being laughed at by frontline staff is unacceptable. - Room Allocation: Despite an early request to stay together, our family was split across three different floors with long walks to the lifts. No effort was made to provide "side-by-side" rooms. - Facilities: The breakfast did not meet expectations for a hotel of this caliber. Additionally, the Starbucks machine has limited options and frequently malfunctions; the night manager’s visible exhaustion and "fake smile" when fixing it made us feel like a burden. While the hotel is beautiful and in a prime location, the unprofessionalism of the night management team overshadows the hard work of staff like Mr. Jun and Ms. Kiki. We hope management addresses these service gaps to match the hotel’s "advanced" reputation.
I was lucky enough to enjoy the amenities of Citadines while on a work trip to Singapore. Even though it wasn't easy to find in the beginning, it really is conveniently situated smack bang in the middle of town. You're about walking distance to just about everything. The building is an eco-friendly work of art. Visitors can enjoy going to the garden on the 17th floor and wile away their time there. The breakfast is consistently good every day, with their curry chicken being a standout. I gained weight in my week in Singapore because of the breakfast here. The rooms were also comfortable with plenty of space. The gym was small but complete wit the fanciest treadmills I've ever used. Unfortunately, I didn't get to dip into the pool, but the pool looked great. But my highlight was the lobby space, which you can spend hours chilling, working or doing more chilling.
Stayed for 4 nights with family and booked two rooms . The location is central with main tourist attractions and metro nearby . Taxis are easily available and recommended rather than walking during the day as it is very hot . Rooms are compact and views are office buildings . The check in experience was average . Tge executive hardly gave any info about the hotel amenities or what we can do around . Even the WiFi passwords she gave was wrong n we figured it out on our own . Likewise the check in staff during day time were not engaging at all even if you ask where to get water refills they point us somewhere n we have to figure it out on our own . So big thumbs down for staff as they seem busy in their own world rather than attending the customers . Other than that it was alright and we liked the water refills feature and everyday housekeeping which is there now guess it wasn’t there earlier as per past reviews There are plenty cafés , health stores , hawker centre nearby and boat quay is nearby so eating out isn’t a problem There’s a rooftop garden view and connectivity to capita springs which is nice
