Watch the sunrise over the largest religious complex in the world! Angkor Wat has to be experienced to be believed, and sunrise is the best experience of all, guided by our local Khmer experts. We leave the hostel early!
Angkor Thom was the latter capital of the Angkor Empire. The road takes us through the famous South Gate, lined with gods and demons locked in an eternal tug-of-war. The temple of Bayon at the centre of the site is lined with countless beatific carved faces, gazing eternally at the surrounding forest.
Ta Prohm is a picturesque and attractive ruin partially retaken by jungle. It is also known as 'the Tomb Raider temple', made famous by Angelina Jolie in the 2001 film.
Banteay Kdei is also known as 'the citadel of monk's cells'. It is partially overgrown with towering, sinous trees. The silk cotton tree roots weaving their way through the stones of the ruined walls is a famously beautiful sight.
Ta Keo was never finished, and as such has a very different aspect to most of the Angkor temples. It's square, layered-pyramid shape makes it one of the more dramatic sites on the tour and climbing the terraces affords some beautiful views over the jungle.
[Only for sunset tours] Phnom Bakheng is a hilltop temple built hundreds of years before Angkor Wat. It is also one of the best places to watch the sunset in Cambodia, as it overlooks Angkor Wat itself.

Love this tour! We did sunset bike tour and it was so much fun! Our guide Sam Vone was amazing! He was passionate to tell us history and interesting information on Angkor Wat and Khmer. He is also a great photographer. If you want cool photos he is the guy to ask for.
We did the sunrise tour with Sam Vone, who is such a jolly, happy guide. He picked us up in a tuk-tuk at 4:30 and then led us by bike through the dark and found the best spot to see the sun rise over Angkor Wat. Throughout the day, he answered all our questions, found us water and stopped whenever the oppressive, dry season heat got to us, and took us both on and off road between the most iconic temples. He knows the best spots for photos, and stopped at a village market to buy some unique fruits we had never seen before. Highly recommend!!
My husband and I did the sunset bike tour and it was fantastic. Stinking hot day but we managed to finish it. Our tour guide Sam Vone was very very good and went into great detail about the history of the temples. He was also a very good photographer and took same beautiful photos of us at the sites visited. Would highly recommend this tour and Sam.
We enjoyed taking in Angkor Wat via bicycle! Amazing way to experience a once in a lifetime trip. Our local guide was very kind and would recommend him if you like an adventurous experience.
Our sunset biking tour was wonderful. Pum was a really excellent tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He went out of his way to make sure that everyone in our group was comfortable and that we saw all the things we were interested in. In addition, the sites themselves, and especially Angkor Wat, are truly spectacular, and visiting them by bike was great.
Horrible. They canceled the tour and i did not get message until the morning i was supposed to be picked up. I was out all day the previous morning day and did not see message. Apparently no one else booked and they should have stated that there was a minimum or not taken my money. It ruined my entire schedule. I stayed in Siem Reap with the intent to go 2 days and bought the 3 day pass. One sunrise and one sunset, the latter being w this tour group. To travel this distance and not go was highly disappointing. Will never book anything through trip advisor again. I have heard others complain but no ive experienced it myself.
Our family went on the sunrise Angkor Wat sunrise bike tour with Vone. He was a friendly, knowledgeable guide with a great sense of humour. The trip was 10 hours and involved 30 km of biking on the flat to 4 incredible temples.
Great tour! We used the tour as an introduction to the temple complex, and it was perfect for that. Vone was a wonderful, knowledgeable and funny guide. Thank you!
One was our guide and we really enjoyed his commentary and patience. My only recommendation for the tour group would be to equip bikes with lights as it was dark riding on roads and paths for sunrise tour. Assume a sunset tour would have the same situation. If not bring a flashlight.
What an amazing experience. Great day tour. We were picked up by tuktuk and taken to the hostel to meet Won our guide. The bikes were quality mountain bikes with good gears and brakes and helmet supplied. The tour was a full day we left around 10am and got back about 6:30pm, great value. Won knew exactly where to go and how to avoid the busy places as we visited on a festival day. He knew so much about the history and detail of all the temples and took us to all the best photo spots. The sunset stop was truly magical and we wouldn’t have found it without Won who has excellent English and a great sense of humour. Lunch location was pricey but good and no hassle anywhere. Can highly recommend.
This is the best way to experience Angkor Wat temples! Our guide, Vone, picked us up at our hotel before sunrise in his tuk tuk and we were off and away on our bikes cruising through the empty morning streets of Siem Reap. A short ride later and we arrived at the famous Angkor Wat temple and Vone brought us to a great vantage point to capture the sunrise over the towers. After sunrise we walked around the grounds for while and then we’re back on our bikes cruising to more temples and a great breakfast spot. Our path was mostly along a well-paved separated bike road. The times we were on the main road was not worrisome at all as everyone drives slowly, and traffic is very minimal. Cyclist of all capabilities can easily enjoy this beautiful ride, just be prepared to get very sweaty as you'll only experience AC at the breakfast restaurant. Vone was extremely friendly and full of amazing information about everything in the area. He is even a top-notch photographer and wielded my iPhone camera like a pro. We came away with spectacular photos and memories of our time at Angkor Wat.
We cannot say enough positive things about this tour. We booked on for the sunset bicycle tour around Angkor Wat and the nearby temples. We were picked up promptly from our hotel at the time advise on the confirmation email, taken to the main office to pick up the bikes and meet with our tour guide, Vone. The bikes were basically like new, really well maintained with good suspension and comfortable so easy to spend the day on them. From the start Vone was super friendly and helpful getting the bikes set up and explaining the plan for the day. As we didn’t have passes to the temple, our first stop was to the main ticket gate to pick these up and it took five minutes before we were off to the temples. We visited Angkor Wat, Bayon and Ta Prohm. Vone showed us around these temples taking the time to explain the history, culture, religion and art in brilliant depth and was so engaging throughout. Not only was Vone incredibly knowledgeable but he was also brilliant with a camera and offered to take loads of pictures for us throughout and got some really cool images as a result! The cycle ride between the temples was brilliant, going routes you could never go by car and we saw even more temples along the way as well as some of the entrance gates like victory and ghost gate. A highlight for us was getting to ride the bikes along the walls and getting to see the sights from a really unique perspective. I would say that it was very hot in the day but the majority of the bike ride is in the shade so it’s not too bad, especially as there’s plenty of places to get water and Vone made sure we stayed hydrated. But a general level of fitness is required as we did end up cycling around 40km across the day (albeit with lots of rests). I can’t recommend this tour enough. If your looking for a unique way to explore the site with friendly, knowledge tour guide, this is the tour for you!
A unforgettable way to experience many of the major temples around Siem Reap! Our guide, Vone, was extremely knowledgeable and very enjoyable to ride with. He is also very good at taking photos and knows the best spots in each temple, so be prepared! Easily the highlight of our trip to Siem Reap.
Our guide Sam Vone was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic and also a fantastic photographer! We did the sunrise tour and it was definitely worth waking up early for. This 10 hour tour was filled with lots of bike riding, walking, and climbing. By the end, we were exhausted but would do it all over again.
Vone was such a sweet, fun and informative guide for the tour. I really enjoyed my time and the pace in which we went. It was relaxed and so enjoyable. I can only highly recommend this tour! Thank you so much and hope to see you again!
This has been our favorite experience so far as we travel around Southeast Asia!! Our guide, Vone, was extremely knowledgeable and was always ready with the best spots to take pictures. We were also the first group to arrive at Angkor Wat to see the sunrise and had the best, unobstructed view! If you’re coming to Siem Reap, this is a MUST DO!!
The tour was excellent! Hoan was a great, very knowledgeable guide who could conjure cold drinking water out of thin air. The temples were beautiful, and the tour was structured nicely and did not feel rushed even though it packed a lot into the day. The biking was both on and off road, which presented some challenges, but not too strenuous.
Great guide Von, showed us around all the temples where he had great knowledge on the history and stories
Overall the tour was underwhelming. We were told when we arrived that we had to purchase tickets to Angkor Wat, so we had to mess around at the start getting tickets. The owner could have informed us beforehand. We missed the actual sunrise of seeing the sky go from night to day which was disappointing. Plus the guide was hard to understand.
Went for the Angkor Wat sunrise bicycle tour, and it was great, Dare is very kind and informative. Great experience:))👍
It is no surprise that this activity has 5 starts - honestly the best! Start with bicycles, very well maintained and convenient for the day. It is great to visit Angkor Wat at a slower pace and enjoy this unique scenery. Also you don’t get to see many bicycles around so something more unique to do, you even cycle in the jungle where TukTUk can’t access. Now best part of the tour was my guide Dara Try. Super knowledgeable, great personality, perfect English, and go the extra miles. He is also the best at taking photos and I just had a great time with him. 5 starts - highly recommended! (Also no hidden cost or push to buy stuff)
We had a great day with Vone, who picked us up from our hotel and subsequently guided us masterfully by all the temples on the very decent and well maintained mountain bikes. We found alternating between cycling and visiting temples great. Vone has a lot of knowledge of the temples and the country's history. Furthermore he is a master at taking good pictures. Don't hesitate to go on this tour with Vone, it's a great experience and definitely something to write home about!
I was only one with my guide, Makara. It was a beautiful experience because of his knowledge, flexibility, and good nature. He knows how to take great photos and adjusts his style to fit you. I was dehydrated and tired by. 1:30 so he stopped at good lunch spot by temple. It was a long day but once in a lifetime experience!
Excellent and fun experience with Bouty ! A very unique way of discovering the temples, riding through the jungle was an amazing experience and Bouty is an excellent guide, very knowledgable and always making sure you’re safe and having the best possible time. Highly recommend it !
Amazing staff, very kind and friendly, always willing to help. Dorms are cool and clean. The swimming pool is definitely a plus
Great tour, trough the beautiful temples, got to visit many temples and received explanations regarding construction methods, era, temple purpose and history from our guide Phanne. Highlight to the explanation of the compreessive Angkor Wat mural bas relief.
My partner and I, visited Angkor Wat. The guide explained a lot of story and history about the sculptures in the walls. We learnt about the stones and the constructions and was surprised how the nature grew up on the temples. And if you don't understand what I am talking about the best is to book a tour with the guide names Prem.
I want to say THANK YOU to our tour guide Youk Makara. A person that explain everything with a big passion and you can notice this. Definitely worth the visit. Thank you again. Manuela from italy
Group tour with pick up from hotel. With an extremely skilled guide in Hinduism and Buddhism, and speaking very good English, I learned more in one day then I thought possible. The sceneries at Angor Wat and surrounding is fantastic in it self, and with a skilled and funny guide, transport without problems the whole day was perfect. I can do nothing else but give full score :))
2nd visit to Angkor Wat in 10 years and decided to go with a tour guide and so glad I did. Makara is a fantastic tour guide his knowledge on Angkor Wat and religions was amazing. He's a very funny guy and very passionate about his career and his home country!👍
I had an amazing day with our guide Makara! I love it, he help us a lot and explained all about the Temple, thanks you!!
Thank you Tripadvisor. You were a big help in my Siem Reap tour. I didnt encounter any problem in my angkor wat Temples trek. One, my tour guide is very friendly .
I was so overwhelmed with tour options for Angkor Wat and I couldn't be happier that I booked this tour and that La La was my guide! La La was nonstop smiles and positivity from start to finish. He was incredibly generous with his knowledge and care for the group, checking in with everyone and constantly offering to take photos of us, a great perk for a solo traveler. It's a long day, and hot this time of year, but the A/C in the van worked great and La La keeps it fun and interesting the entire way. As someone who has been a tour guide in multiple countries I was very impressed and will recommend this tour to everyone I meet. Thank you La La!
I had an amazing tour for the Angkor temples ! The guide's smile was contagious, he really knew what he was talking about and spoke good English. He brought us at the right temple at the right time so it would not be too crowded. I really recommand this tour !
This was an excellent tour. Very rich architecture and culture. Our tour guide was excellent, very helpful, and knowledgeable. She deserves a promotion in her job. Nadarajah Sriskanthan.
The tour was great. We had a good amount of time to check out each temple on the tour and get some GOOD pictures! We stopped for lunch at midday. Food was pretty good. Watching the sunset from the top of the temple was divine! The tour guide was really chill and funny. Learned a lot of things I wouldn’t have if we had done it without her. Highly recommend!
Angkor wat is a must see atraction. This small group tour was well organised and well timed. We skip the crowd and spend nice time there. Guide was excellent. He show us some hidden jems and made lot of pics for all of us. Highly recommendations.
We are an italian family and it's our first time in Cambodia. We chose to visit Angkor Wat with a small group in mini van and an english guide. Her name is Phanne and she is very nice and qualified. We really had a very good time and the temples are incredible!!
I really enjoyed with angkor wat shared tour, the tour guide very nice speaking English very good told me about history of temple i'd recommend to everyone and thank you Mr phrem
The tour was very helpful for us to understand the history of the temples. The tour guide was very entairtaining and his knowldege is commendable. The tour is very informative especially to people who doenst have in depth knowledge of the place. I recommend this tour to anyone who will visit Angkor Wat as this will give you knowledge that you need and you will gain new friends.
The tour was amazing, Prem was a very knowledgable tour guide with surprisingly good enlish. We did all 5 temples, each one more breath taking than the last. I booked with my Pub Hostel and it was only $10, worth every penny!

Recommended this trip if you are looking for 1 day trip 一日の旅行にとてもおススメです。料金はわずか10ドルにも関わらず、ガイド、水、送迎付きでこのツアーに参加できたのは最高でした。
I totally recommend this guided tour. It costs 10 dollars, they give you all the water you need and the van has air conditioning. The guide was really prepared and I enjoyed the temples visit. The group was not so big and this was good because it was more dynamic and we didn’t have to wait for too many people when we moved from one temple to another.
Really good tour with Mr One, went around many temples with good information on each, spoke good English and had a humour that translated well
We were so happy with our small tour! It operated and ran so smoothly, we were picked up and dropped off on time & our driver acted as a tour guide so we felt we got great value for money! Would definitely recommend the sunrise tour for great reviews
