A group of 4 of us took the breakfast tour, and it was without question the highlight of our time in Siem Reap. Our tour guide, Hong, is the most incredible and inspirational young woman. Intelligent and bright, with advanced English and a wonderful sense of humour. We visited markets and restaurants, and obviously leant about and tasted lots of food. More importantly we learnt so much about the Cambodian culture, the war and its legacy, and the challenges this country now faces. Hong was never fazed by a question, and answered in such a considered and mature manner. What a wonderful ambassador for her country!

We then head out to the streets on a guided mini city orientation tour and pagoda walk, before foraging up some more snacks and heading to a local family-run street stall. This dish is, arguably, the most famous of all Cambodian breakfasts.
After a small walk we settle in for our final breakfast, where the produce is grown next to our table, a sign of the the future of Khmer cuisine.
Cambodian cuisine debunked and devoured, more than a food tour, you will leave with a better understanding of Khmer culture, history and current affairs.
And then… a surprise (2 actually).

Rorm was an excellent guide and took us through various interesting areas in Siem Reap. He shared a lot of interesting cultural information while allowing us to experience a variety of traditional Cambodian dishes. Highly recommended.
Rorm was a wonderful guide. He introduced us to a range of foods from street food and local markets, to high end organic restaurants, in addition to sharing stories about Cambodian culture and his experiences. We left with an in-depth Cambodian culinary experience, and feeling culturally enriched. The end was the absolute best surprise!
Loved this tour, it was a perfect balance of food and learning. I traveled as a solo and this was not a problem.i leart so much about not just good but history, religion a d culture. Loved it so much I booked their evening ultimate st food tour and was blown away by that one. More variety than I could have imagined. Loved it. Just book!
This tour combines both food and culture walking tour which is good because you need a break from all the delicious food you eat. Learned a lot about the Khmer culture, every day life and their food. Book this tour and get your stomach ready!
This tour was a lot of fun and we were treated to amazing, delicious food at several locations as well as information about Cambodian cooking and traditions. Our guide, Ducky, was very knowledgeable and fun! I have visited or lived in Cambodia off and on for more than 20 years and I learned a lot. I highly recommend this tour for international visitors and expats alike. Definitely five stars!
Tour was amazing - guide so helpful, knowledgeable and friendly - gave us the confidence to explore markets by ourselves and the street art was inspiring - a real understanding of Cambodian arts and culture and the impact and loss that the 70s created - a must for anyone wanting to enjoy more of the real Cambodia - Ian
One of the highlights of our time in Siem Reap, thanks to our awesome guide, Kim. The food selection was amazing, and we were stuffed by the end of the 3rd stop. The 4th stop was a fantastic surprise, and the 5th stop was the perfect way to end this tour.
We had a great tour with Mr Kimleng, who showed us around the market, took us to some great places to eat and told us so many things about Cambodian culture, the way of life in Siem Reap and of course their food. A great way to spend a morning. Had some delicious food as well!
Loved how authentic the experience felt! We were able to visit local markets and also some restaurants there was a nice mix. We even had a chance to walk around and visit a couple of the local temples. And there was a nice little surprise at the end!
Our favourite experience in Siem Reap. Ducky was professional, knowledgeable and fun. It was a bit like visiting your friend who moved abroad and them introducing you to their favourite spots in town. We learned about Cambodian produce whilst exploring the market and ate delicious food along the way. Both on planned stops but also just tasting things that caught our eye along the way. There were also a couple of surprises that were much enjoyed, especially by our 8 year old son. Highly recommended. Make sure to book this at the beginning of your trip. It will open your eyes to Cambodian cuisine and you might enjoy it so much that you book an evening tour as well. Thank you, Ducky!
Ducky was great! We had a wonderful time in Siem Reap exploring the markets. Interesting conversation and some great food in areas we wouldn’t otherwise have visited! Would highly recommend.
We spent the most awesome morning with ducky. My wife and our girls (4 and 6) loved every minute. We went to restaurants that we would never have known about, got to know so much about the area and history and were entertainted throughout. We also loved that it was not just about the food but also got to see a tample and relaxed as well. We left with an even bigger list of what and where to explore and would hugoy recommend!!
I absolutely loved my tour and Ducky was an amazing guide. All the food was so good, and the experience gave me an overview of Siem Reap and Cambodian people. She is not only knowledgeable about food, but the community, which adds so much to this experience. I highly recommend, not just to be stuffed with yummy food, but to gain a real knowledge about food culture and culture in general in Cambodia!
What a pleasure it was to join Sonya (Ducky's) morning food tour. Over 3 hours whizzed by as we were introduced to the market, its fruit and veg vendors and food stalls. Plenty of grazing stops and visits to parts of town tucked off the main drag. All accompanied by Ducky's in depth knowledge of the local scene, customs and traditions. Educational, eye opening, delicious and above all huge fun. What is there not to like ? Don't miss out on this when visiting Siem Reap
What a way to start the day - 3 delicious breakfasts!! Not only did we get to experience various Khmer cuisines, Ducky provided an infomative insight into the Khmer culture, whilst also taking us on a small tour of a market and streets of Siem Reap. This tour is a must do!!Thank you so much for a wonderful experience Ducky.
What a great morning out with Sonya or Ducky as she is affectionately know by. I was the only vegan in the group but was well catered for and loved every moment of the adventure, starting in the markets seeing many amazing different foods, having delicious soup before strolling and tuk tuking off to see more of the amazing Siem Reap, the tour finishing with a wonderful foot and leg massage then delicious ice cream! It really is a must do for anyone visiting Siem Reap
All dishes introduced by Sonya were very very yummy. My favourite dish was Bahn Hoi (dry noodle). Sonya was extremely knowledgeable with Khmer food and culture. She also gave me a few tips on other things to do as I was staying in Phnom Penh for another week after leaving Siem Reap. Sonya will also show you the little back streets where the hidden bars and restaurants are, which you can visit at night time. (not far from pub street) I would fully recommend this Brekkie tour to all first timers in Siem Reap.
Sonya has great knowledge of the area and we thoroughly enjoyed all the places she took us for breakfast. Consider doing this early in your stay because she gave such great insights into the best local hotspots. It would have been awesome to have time to try all the places she recommended. The tour isn’t just about the food either, she has a pretty great insight on the culture and heritage of Cambodia and there are some fun hidden things she goes over through the tour. It was awesome to see her interact with the locals (she’s an Aussie who’s lived in Cambodia for 8 years? I think she said. She’s also worked in tourism and hospitality for most of her life.), it makes me want to pack up my life and live the way she does. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will definitely go to her for another tour next time we are in Cambodia. Walked away feeling like we had just made a new friend and not just gone on a tour. Cannot recommend enough.
