Everything was great, the experience, the temples, the tour guide, the driver and the car. They were all very nice anda had water and cold face/hand towels because of the hot weather

He is knowledgeable and interesting, adept at avoiding the crowds and helped us to take some really great photos. We hope to return to Siem Reap and will book him again when we do.

We had an absolutely outstanding private tour of Angkor Wat with Chy and Long. From the very start, everything was seamless—they picked us up right on time from our hotel, which set the tone for a perfectly organized day. Chy was incredibly knowledgeable, not just about the temples themselves, but about Cambodian history and Khmer culture more broadly. Their explanations brought the sites to life in a way that you simply wouldn’t get exploring on your own. You can tell they are passionate about what they do, and it shows in every detail of the tour. Long took us everywhere. Waiting for us in the car with cold hand towels when it was 96 degrees outside and jungle humid was very thoughtful. Humble and affable guy. We spent about four hours together, and it flew by. Beyond their expertise, what really stood out was their personality—funny, kind, humble, and genuinely warm people. They made the experience feel personal and relaxed rather than rushed or scripted. They also went above and beyond to make sure we had amazing photos, always finding the best angles and patiently helping us capture great memories at each stop. If you’re visiting Angkor Wat, I can’t recommend Chy and Long highly enough. They truly made our experience unforgettable.

We had the most incredible tours with Lux. His precise knowledge of timings and best places to see the sunrise at Angkor Wat really made the experience unforgettable for me and my family. We felt so well looked after by Lux and his driver, the cool water and towels at every stop were a game changer! Lux had a wonderful way of explaining the history and stories behind the sites to make it accessible for our children and us adults. Our second tour to the mountain and waterfall was really so special and we feel very lucky to have been shown this beautiful part of Cambodia. We highly recommend a tour with Lux.

We were only in Siem Reap for a couple of days so this shorter private tour of the main temples was ideal for us. The experience from start to finish was really positive. Our guide, Lux, was in touch with arrangements before we met, he and the driver collected us on time and looked after us for the entire trip ensuring we had cold refreshments and everything we needed. His knowledge of the temples and, in particular, Angkor Watt was exemplary but also more generally about Cambodian history, culture etc…. As this was a private tour we were also able to tailor it to how we wanted and everything was accommodated. A really informative and comfortable trip.

Amazing tour. Chy our guide was knowledgeable, made the tour interesting, was great at knowing where the best photo spot where as well as fun ideas for photos for our group. Our driver Phanna not only drove us safely but was kind and friendly offered us cold water often as well as had cold towels for us every time we got back in the van. Highly recommend this tour and would as for Chy and Phanna.

Chy, our guide, and Phana, our driver were fantastic! Chy was an expert in all things on our tour - local customs, architecture, history, religion. Phana was always at the ready with cold water, cold hand towels, and a gracious smile. We had a great time and would highly recommend both!

We were two couples traveling together on this tour. If we could leave a six star rating we would! Our half day spent with “Lux” our guide was just amazing. His passion and knowledge of Angkor Wat and the other temples was first class. Our lovely driver looked after us in the heat and the icy cold towels were much appreciated. We loved the flexibility of the tour so we got to go exactly where we wanted to and were never rushed on. Had a wonderful rich experience on a 2 days private tour comprising Angkor Wat, Ta Phrom, Bayon temples on day 1 & Kunle mountain & 1000 lingas in river on day 2. Our guide Mr Ran was very patient & kind to us & was able to give indepth information on both ancient Khymer & modern Cambodian history. He really made a difference to our trip as I had visited Siem Reap 20 years ago & didn't have a guide, only had a driver for private tour. We also had 2 way efficient airport transfers arranged with the tour agency. Overall a superb experience. Will recommend to our friends.

Solid tour of Angkor Wat and some of the other major temples in the area. If you’re looking for a good overview without too much depth, this is perfect. The tour was about 3.5 hours, which was an ideal amount of time in my opinion.

We were very happy that we booked this tour! We arranged the time we wanted to be picked up at our hotel in an air conditioned comfortable car. There was a guide, for us Mr Srei Sothea, and a driver. Srei was an excellent guide, very good English with fascinating explanations of the history of the temples and of Cambodia. His explanations of the meaning of the temple carvings and reliefs really made the visit come alive! The driver met us at key points outside temples and kept us supplied with cold towels and water. Our thanks to both - we would completely recommend booking this trip!

We have absolutely fallen in love with Cambodia! Our private temples guided tour was beyond our expectations. The sights are filled with so much magical beauty and we had a sweet and incredibly knowledgable guide to show us around. Our guide, Nak, not only provided us with the historical facts and the symbolism of each aspect of the temples, he also shared his buddhist wisdom from his time as a monk during this incredible day we spent together. Cambodia is a beautiful country, with magical sights, rich biodiversity, and lovely people. We cannot wait to come back and experience more of this hidden treasure of a country.

Bo Pha was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. He clearly loved sharing Cambodian history through the respective temples adding context with every stop. He also was able to elaborate on all of our questions. His understanding and English skills exceeded our expectations making for a truly memorable visit. Highly recommend!! Such a magical day exploring the beauty and history of Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom. We have had many guides and drivers on our trip of SE Asia, and Ngoun has easily been my favorite. He was kind, flexible, knowledgeable, and has a wealth of knowledge about the history of his country, along with speaking very good English. The Tuk Tuk tour was so fun and an easy way to travel. He helped my mom up and down steps and traveled at our pace, leaving plenty of time for pictures and pit stops at any location we found interesting. Lunch was delicious! Thank you for helping us fall in love with Cambodia.

We really loved our day tour with our tour guide Mr. Sothea. We have seen and walked through all the great temples of Angkor Wat. Our tour guide spoke perfect English and had so many things to tell in perfect balance in what we could absorb. Unbelievably nice and great experience we will never forget. Also our kids were amazed by this tour and loved it. We had a private tour / transport so we could perfectly choose how long to spend time per temple which aligns perfectly to our needs.

This tour was an absolute highlight, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Sunrise at Ankgor Wat was a beautiful, peaceful experience. The temple is a grand structure, even though it sure could use a cleaning (however, our tourguide Lux told us that there was an attempt to clean it, but the cleaning solution ate at the sandstone, so the job had to be abandoned. Nice views from up top. Ta Prom was an interesting place. There was lots of "before and after" shots, both as pictures and as the actual temple. Lux showed us where the temple had been restored and pointed to parts that had not been restored... quite amazing the job of restoration that has been done so far. The trees that are growing through the temple add an eeriness to the place.

Stunning temples and my guide (Ngun?) was very nice and spoke English quite well and had a wealth of historical knowledge. Overall I totally would recommend!

We didn’t want sunrise nor sunset tour and this fits our schedule perfectly. It’s flexible and Mr Sothea was very patient and an experienced tour guide. His English is understandable and he shared a lot of interesting insights about the temples he brought us to. The cold water and towels after each temple tour was welcoming in this hot weather.

We booked a private 7 hour "The Ultimate Angkor Wat Temple Day Trip" through WithLocals and chose Lux (Ngoun) for our guide. Since we could customize our tour, we asked to visit both Angkor Wat and Ta Prom and Lux said that wasn't a problem. Lux was friendly and knowledgeable about the history of Cambodia and the temples, and the description of the private customizable tour was for 7 hrs. He pointed out a lot of small details we would have completely missed (e.g. the different hairstyles on the carvings). The only disappointment was that we booked a 7 hr private customizable tour, but our tour ended at 5 hrs. Lux explained that it was because we customized the tour and went to Ta Prom as well as Angkor Wat. It just would've been good to know that upfront rather than leaving us with the tuktuk driver after 5 hours.

Had a great visit to the main temples with our tour guide explaining a lot of the history as we went. Nak, our tour guide, was very friendly and was always happy to take photos along the way to help us remember our experience. We felt the tour was thorough and visiting the 3 sites in one day is a fantastic way to experience some of the many incredible temples that Cambodia has to offer. Starting early to watch the sunrise at Angkor Wat is a great option because later in the day it can be quite hot, though our tour guide had plenty of cool water available. Overall a great experience.

Lux, tailored our tour to fit our needs. From the moment I began communicating with him, he was responsive and worked with us to get our tour organized and ready to go for the day after our arrival. I delayed booking, but with Lux, he made everything happen anyway and was very kind and patient. He answered all of my questions and then some. He was the best tour guide. He is fluent in English. He is knowledgeable with other countries and cultures and this adds to the breath of his knowledge when it comes to what he shares on the tour itself. He knows his country, loves it, takes pride in it, and is thankful to have visitors to show it to. That’s how you’ll feel when your tour is done. He goes out of his way by bringing a cooler of ice cold waters and the car is always ready and waiting with the air condition on. Thank you Thea, our driver! A big plus after a long time in extreme heat. Cambodia is hot. He will take pictures for you. He’s flexible. Outstanding. We will hire him again if we are blessed enough to come back. We will recommend him to all of our friends.

We only had 4 hours in Siem Reap and we certainly could not have asked for a better guide. Excellent English! Great knowledge! We accomplished a whole lot in those 4 hours. It’s an incredible place.

We were guided for the day by Lux from Around Cambodia. He was knowledgeable, interesting and interested, spoke English perfectly and was great fun to be with. On the first day we did the sunrise tour with other temples and on the second, a tour of Tonle Sap and Kulen Mountain Waterfalls. He seemed to know how to avoid all the crowds and take us to parts where other tourists weren’t venturing. We learnt loads, not just about Angkor Wot but also about Cambodian history and current culture. And also how to take better pictures on our iPhones!!! We would not hesitate to use him again.

We went with Nak as our guide and Hong as our driver. It was our first experience but it was great. Enjoying sunrise at Angkor Wat temple and visiting few another temple and it was mesmerizing. Must try activity.
