Did the sunrise 🌅 tour and Lu. He and his driver picked me right on time. If you’re not an early riser then maybe do the regular tour or the sunset tour. Either way, you’ll have an excellent time with Lux as a private guide. I was traveling solo so having an expert guiding me through the temples made it more enjoyable. I learned a lot about the history of the Angkor complex but also about the religious history, the history of Cambodia as a kingdom and nation, and its people. We went to three different temples and Lux made sure to keep with my pace, letting me explore on my own, taking me to best picture spots, and letting me take my time to take pictures. The driver was very pleasant and made the tour even better. It felt a little luxurious to have cold water and towels ready after every visit to freshen up and avoid dehydration, which are worth it to beat the heat. It took about 6 hours but could have been longer if I wanted to take more time to explore but being done before noon was perfect! Super glad I did this tour, would do it again and 100% recommend to anyone looking to learn more about Angkor complex at your own pace.

Itinerary
after picking up all other travellers we will take you to purchase the temple tickets before walking in to the temple for the sunrise.
This is the area we will be stoping for our breakfast break after visiting Angkor wat temple, we will spend around 30-45 minutes here for breakfast before continuing to more temples.
This is well known for the film shoot by Angelina Jolie, to do it early mean we can avoided bigger crowds.
This is one of the quietest locations for the jungle temple as it is hidden in the wood but a very nice and peaceful temple to visit.
We will check out this amazing north gate of the city (Angkor Thom City)
We will see this magical temple after the sunrise at Angkor Wat
After the last temple at Bayon Temple, we are traveling back into Siem reap town and you may like to stop by any local handicraft shop for shopping or just get back to the hotel as our driver and guide will be taking you back to where you wish to go.

Amazing experience very well organized the lunch was poor although I had my own from the hotel I felt like the tour guide was rushing me at times
What an amazing day. We started early and enjoyed a full day of temples, breakfast, and a market at the end. We would love to tour with Lux again.
I am a solo traveler, and I had a great experience on the private tour with Lux! He was very informative and I got to learn about the history and culture of people in Cambodia, especially around Siem Reap. He was always on time and he made my trip a smooth transition for each tour I had with him because I booked two private tours with him in a row. Each day was calm and wonderful because he always was there with information tips and helpful guidance through the city. I would highly recommend!
I traveled with family including old parents. Our overall experience was quite good. We visited major temples - tonle sap - 1000 lingas overall everything in and around the city. Mr Lux was superb - car and driver was good - guide was bit an issue but manageable. Guide’s english was difficult. Hotel’s (Villa Wat Damnak) location was great but inside room experience could had been better. Overall very safe and friendly people and weather was excellent. Considering the facilities and hotel, I think the trip was bit expensive. And one suggestion, fix the itinerary before you land - they will follow that and do not add / change. Overall it was ok.
Nak our guide and Phanna our driver looked after us and our 15 year old daughter and 85 year old father perfectly! The tour was super informative (my 3rd time and still learned new things), well paced and flexible. Very punctual too. Very highly recommend.
5 out of 5. Our guide was very knowledgeable and patient. He gave us an excellent introduction and overview of the history of Angkor Wat and the Khmer empire before we even stepped into the temple. Amazing views of the temple are made to come to life with the commentary throughout our trip. Highly recommended
We had a truly enjoyable and seamless two-day tour with our guide, Ngoun. From the very beginning, he provided clear and timely information to help us prepare for the trip. Thanks to his suggestion to purchase our Angkor Park tickets in advance, we were able to avoid delays and start our journey smoothly. Ngoun guided us with great care and flexibility, beginning from the early hours at sunrise. He thoughtfully adjusted the itinerary to suit our preferences, ensuring a personalized experience throughout. Although we had visited the Angkor temple complex before, this time we gained many new and fascinating insights—something only a knowledgeable local guide can offer. Our driver was also outstanding: respectful, cautious, and attentive at all times. Both Ngoun and our driver went out of their way to accommodate our needs, even fulfilling extra requests with kindness and efficiency. We are sincerely grateful for their dedication and highly recommend their services to anyone seeking a well-organized and enriching tour.
We had the pleasure of joining a two-day private tour with Lux, including a sunrise visit to Angkor and an excursion to Tonle Sap Lake and Kampong Phluk. On both days, he organized everything seamlessly and enriched our experience with his extensive knowledge and excellent English. If you're looking for a reliable, professional, and engaging private tour guide, Lux is the perfect choice.
Nak is absolutely the best guide I encountered on my travels around Asia. I was travelling alone and he tailored the tour to suit my interests, knowledgable and funny I cannot recommend this tour enough.
Lux was a very informative guide and helped us with food and other recommendations around the city. The car was comfortable and spacious and the cold towels were an added bonus in the heat!
Best tour we did on our two week trip through Vietnam and Cambodia. Our guide Lux (spelt wrong no doubt, apologies) had perfect English and was well versed in which temples to take us to and when so we saw the least amount of fellow tourists of any visit we’ve done. We also had fresh cold water bottles and cold towels between every temple - heaven. He pointed out everything we needed to know at each temple and took excellent photos for us. A five star experience. I highly recommend going at sunrise, the extreme heat makes sight seeing after 11am unpleasant (though getting the teens up before sunrise was also quite unpleasant, it was definitely the right thing to do). Also go for a car rather than tuk tuk, the latter looks fun but trust me, you’ll be so grateful for the air con break between temples.
Our guide Lux was perfect. All the logistics were taken care of in advance. Lux speaks excellent English, and is very experienced and knowledgeable of all of the locations we met. What made Lux exceptional was his knowledge of the history of Cambodia, including from 1940 - 2025. We discussed a lot of details, and Lux gladly responded to questions unrelated to our tour. Thank you!
We had a wonderful day out with our tour guide Phy and his driver. The tour was very well paced and we managed to fit in the temple higlights, afternoon zipline and phare circus in the evening. Everything ran smoothly, communication was very clear throughout and we learned a lot about Cambodian history along the way. ACT were great to deal with and this really was one of the highlights of our trip.
Great service where they even took on of my daughters who became ill back to the hotel free of charge. Fantastic guide with great knowledge about the temples and its history. Well worth every penny for a private tour
We had Nak as our guide for three days. The City Tour on day one. Ankor Wat and the sunrise, Ta Prohm and Bayon on day two. Kulen Waterfalls, the One Thousand Linga, Preah Ang Thom with the reclining Budha and stopping at the Banteay Srey restaurant (excellent) for lunch before visiting the temple on day three. Banteay Srey temple should be on everybody's must see list! Naks history knowledge is amazing, also just a really nice person to be with, highly recommended.
Great tour! Our guide Lux was extremely knowledgeable and spoke English very well! We enjoyed his explanations very much. He took us to all the right places and even managed to have us one jungle temple all to ourselves!
We did the evening tour including street food with Lux, also the waterfalls and floating village tour plus the sunrise Ankgkor Wat tour. Lux was polite friendly and always on time. We enjoyed our days with him and will happily recommend you use him as your guide. However there are a couple of things we would do differently if we could. Firstly we wouldn’t bother to get up so early for the sunrise experience. We found that by having to get in place early enough to take that “Instagramable” photo we spent over an hour sat on a stone wall waiting for the sun to rise. Don’t get me wrong lots of people do this and if it’s your thing go for it. For us it was the tour of the temples that was most interesting and that can easily be done without the early start. Also, although the evening food tour on a tuk tuk was great fun and very interesting the food on the street market wasn’t really to our taste. Although the pop up market itself was definitely worth seeing. We found much nicer food on the street stalls in Siem Reap and maybe they could be included in your tour.
I feel very lucky to have had Nak as my guide for this tour. He offers so much knowledge alongside humour, and was a pleasure to spend time with. The pace, vehicle and co ordination were perfect, probably the best tour I have taken so far in SE Asia.
This was an amazing trip. Although the morning started out wet and there was no sunrise it was still spectacular standing and watching the silhouette of Angkor Wat as the sky got lighter. The rain went off for the rest of the day and each of the temples we visited were beautiful but very different and we had a lovely lunch stop in between. Nak was our guide for the day, he was very helpful, answered all our questions and shared lots of information with us and he was funny too. Nak and driver Panna picked us up on time from hotel and looked after us very well all day, even giving us umbrellas until the rain went off. Thank you!
We were lucky and had no rain for the tour, partly very warm. Cloudy morning, no sunrise. Our guide was skilled with more than twenty years experience as a tour guide at the temples. The enchanted feeling is gone with the yelling crowd looking for party and selfies, not in respect for the wonder of the world these places are. Don't expect colors and pics like the adverts, but you will have what comes that day. Yes, recommended. Either you have to read a lot on beforehand yourself, or you really need a guide to tell you the stories as you walk through the different places, sculptures, carvings and paintings. Your satisfaction will depend on your guide and good luck with the crowds.
We added Angkor Wat to our Vietnam Holiday itinerary and were blown away buy how amazing it was. Lux, our guide, and his driver did an incredible job taking us on the most efficient route to see the main temples around Siem Reap. We started with sunrise at Angkor Wat and then did the tomb raider temple and finally the Ankor Thom temple after breakfast. All three were breathtaking and unique and by doing it early in the morning (the 4am alarm was a bit of a shock) it was not too hot. The Cambodian people are the loveliest people we have encountered travelling and Siem Reap was spotlessly clean. The locals are so happy to have tourist come and help their economy so I would recommend anyone coming to SE Asia to add it to your trip. You won't regret it.
We were lucky to have Lux as our guide and we couldn't have been happier with the experience we got at the world heritage site of Angkor Wat. Having the air conditioned car to drive us to the best vantage points made it a very relaxing day. The sunrise is spectacular and there is no better way to start a day.
Very interesting site, massive area to visit and felt difference.. a mix of culture and beliefs and architecture . Unfortunately weather wasnot good to capture the beauty of sunrise
We had a great experience with Nguon. First of all he was 100% reliable and knew every detail about the locations he took us to. He is a great storyteller and we felt that he does his job with absolute passion. His English is perfect and aside from the tour we had very good chats about Cambodia, about people and the world overall. Cambodians are outstandingly welcoming and warmhearted people. Nguon is no exception here. We enjoyed every second of the tour, everything was so relaxed and full of kindness. He always paid attention to what we wanted and we had the feeling we always were able to take all the time we needed. He also served us with cold drinks and cold towels (you are going to appreciate this in the heat of Cambodia). Last thing being said Nguon is also a very good photographer and he has a great understanding of photo composition. So you end up with nice photos of yourself from tour! We really wish Nguon tons of bookings for the future, he really deserves it! He told us about his dream to travel to Europe, let’s support him in making his dream come true!
Lux has been a wonderful guide, very attentive and kind. We have visited the temples of Ankor with him, seen the sunrise from a privileged place and he has given us a lot of information throughout the visit. We have also visited the Stilt Houses at Tonle Sap community and Kulen Moutain National Park. It has been beautiful and he has left us time to enjoy. We recommend Lux 100%
Did the two-day tour with Lux and we loved it. His English is excellent and his knowledge seems endless. The sunrise at Angkor Wat was breathtaking. Lux took us around the Angkor Wat area on the first day and showed us all the different temples while explaining about the culture, the history and all the little details. He knew exactly where to take the best pictures. The second day was very different, but also great. The floating village is so nice to visit, as we couldn’t imagine how high the water would rise and what life for the villagers would be like. Lux explained everything once again. We ended the tour with a visit to Phnom Kulen. A beautiful national park with amazing views and the chance to take a refreshing dip under the waterfall.
Nak was an amazing tour guide. Our three kids 24, 22 and 18 had an endless set of questions for Nak on the history of Angkor, the Buddhist religion and how they could relate to what they were seeing. Nak was so patient and informative in his engagement, I cannot imagine a better guide with so much experience and insights, including the 10+ years he spent as a Buddhist monk. An absolute must do, we will be back to experience more of this amazing country and region.
Had a brilliant morning with Lux at Angkor Wat. He answered all my questions and was super knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend Lux as a guide.
We had the best time exploring the Angkor Wot with our tour guide Lux. He was very friendly and knowledgeable making our trip enjoyable.
An absolutely unforgettable day beginning with sunrise at Angkor Wat. Great way to start the day in the relative cool before the day really heats up. Would highly recommend our amazing guide, Ngoun, who was super friendly and great company, with vast knowledge of the history of the temples, ensuring we saw all the intricate details at Angkor and the other temples we had the pleasure of visiting (Ta Phrom, Bayon, The Gates, among others). Truly an amazing experience. If you book one of the tours available with Ngoun you really won’t be disappointed.
We had an amazing guide called Sothea who was extremely knowledgeable and very peaceful and charming. Picked up in huge AC van- looked after by him and the driver in the incredible heat! Saw all the main temples we were after in a day- 5am til 1pm. Took our hotel breakfast packed and ate it with a cool coke mid morning. Learnt loads about the history of each temple and had a laugh. Amazing day to be remembered thank you
Sok Win was an amazing guide. He was funny, extremely knowledgeable and knew all the best spots for pictures and to view the sunrise! Cold towels and water were available throughout the morning and they were very polite and respectful! He even took us to a great shop after the tour to look for souvenirs! Highly recommend booking this tour with Sok Win!
Your English speaking guide was the best..his driver too was very obliging giving us ice cold water n face cloths... very good service 👍👍
We had a personal tour with just us and our guide. He was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions and ensured we had a very memorable tour.
The only way anybody could consider the visit "private" is to differentiate it from a group tour. There were hundreds of tourists (if not more) and about a third as many vendors.. While you had NO privacy, the views were amazing especially watching the sky change colors as the sun rose.
We had an amazing time on our sunrise tour of Angkor Wat. Our guide Lux was outstanding. He was friendly, knowledgeable, took us to all the best spots, and was always happy to take photos of us. We found this to be a perfect tour in terms of time and the amount of locations visited. We never felt rushed at any of the beautiful temples allowing us to immerse ourselves in the history and beauty. And we even made it back to our resort in time for lunch. I highly recommend this tour.
Our 4am alarm call was worrh it. Our driver and guide arrived early for our 5am pick-up. Having purchased our Angkor Wat tickets online from the official website, our entry to the temple complex was quick and easy. Thanks to Davannsuon (our guide), we had a great spot sitting on the wall opposite Angkor Wat to witness the sunrise, and it was fabulous! The tour of the temples was interesting and fun thanks to Davannisuon, and we learnt a lot about life in Cambodia. I don't know how you'd view all of the temples without a guide (and we don't get a guide everywhere we go). Phana, our driver, provided ice cold water and towels beforecwe even knew we needed them. A great tour - thank you Davannsuon and Phana
What a memorable day! Lux’s English is Superb and having everything explained in detail made the world of difference. He has so much experience I can’t imagine doing this without him
Fantastic from start to finish, the personal car and service is great. Highly recommend. Big thank you to my guide Nak and driver Mr Hong
I always wanted to visit Cambodia and visit Angkor Wat. So we booked a guided tour to visit Angkor Wat. I didn’t know what to expect but our tour guide came on time and explained exactly what our itinerary for today was. He is very personable and has a vast knowledge of his home country. We felt well informed and learned much history of the temples. Our tour guide made us felt at home. I highly recommend our tour guide and plus our driver was also very friendly. Plus it was nice to have a car with ac and cold water waiting for you.
Great experience, which you should not miss! Everything was well organized! Lux was an incredible and caring guide who showed us the best spots away from classical tourist paths up to hidden temples. Together with his great driver they provided a first class experience you must not miss. Thanks for the great time to Lux!
Jack is the best guide you can find. He welcome us at the bus terminal and took care of us for every detail. The sunrise at Angkor Wat was a unforgettable experience and visiting the surrounding temples with Jack was a pleasure.
We have just had an awesome tour visiting the major temples. Would definitely recommend Jack as a tour guide due to his knowledge and ability to get the best photos
I did the sunrise tour with Lux. Even though I was sleepy in the morning, Lux and the driver had an infectious energy which energised me. He also knew that I needed coffee so before we started the tour of Angkor Wat itself, he took me to a place where I could get coffee. Lux was enthusiastic and engaging, and answered all the questions I had. Furthermore, he was easy to talk with and communicate. I was after all, the only one in this private tour. He made the history of Angkor Wat come to life. The driver was also very caring and attentive, making sure that I always had cold water to drink. He switched on the AC prior to us coming back from one of the walks, so it was always cool. All in all, a very pleasant and fun adventure for me. Well-worth the money. You need a guide for Angkor Wat if you truely want to experience the temple to the fullest.
Lux is a seasoned guide with lots of experience touring around Siem Reap. He has an incredible brain for facts and stats, years and names and is like an Encyclopedia of information on the temples of Angkor. He is very nice and patient. The private car and driver felt luxurious. We spent 3 days touring temples around Siem Reap and Banteay Chhmar and Lux was very accommodating and flexible to our requests. He was good at knowing private spots that are less crowded and has a keen sense of time management, which can be difficult in a place with so many things to see and do.
Excellent tour with Jack (Heang) at sunrise to Angkor Wat and other temples. The whole family enjoyed it. A sunrise tour is definitely the way to go.
An unforgettable day with a fantastic guide. Lux and his driver were prompt n picking us up from our hotel as we journeyed out to Angkor Wat for a sunrise tour. We visited three temples in total. Lux was very, friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the temples and how Cambodians lived in historical times. We spent a good amount of time at each temple and it was nice to have the air conditioned car and lots of water available as we travelled around. We stopped for breakfast also which was nice. I would highly recommend Lux for a private experience as you are able to get the most out of your visit. Thank you so much Lux!
Lux was our guide and Mr Phana our driver for this private sunrise tour. They were both wonderful companions, from the 4:50am pick up to the end of the tour 7 hours later! Lux brought us to great spots around Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm, Bayon and a few other hidden temples, showing us the “best-of” views, patiently explaining the history behind each of the temple cities, and helping us take many insta-worthy photos at each location. He also shared a number of easter eggs with us which piqued my 10-year old daughter’s interest and kept her engaged throughout the tour. We really enjoyed the entire tour, and would recommend it for anyone up for a half-day walking/hiking adventure!
Lux is a great guide - good knowledge & great English made the whole morning a real treat for an early visit to such amazing places - Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm and Bayon. Como of walking & great driver over distances made the day.
