No problem finding the circus. The garden in which we ate and drank, lovely sparkling lights. The food and drinks very reasonably priced and delicious. The circus was fascinating to watch for all ages. The artistry of the rice story, talented actobates and the elegance of the dancer. We wished we had time to watch the show again. Excellent xx. Great fun show. Excellent music and talented acrobatics. The cast all looked like they really enjoy their jobs. Very fun evening of entertainment and supporting a great cause. Section B seats were perfect.
Absolutely brilliant time watching this show. Fun laughter, dancing, music & of course excellent acrobatics ! Recommend everyone go to this if you get the chance. Free popcorn, plenty of choice for drinks & food. Nice gift shop too.
A super fun yet enlightening experience - the performance focused on Khmer Rouge regime, overcoming difficulties while highlighting resilience and joyful spirit of the wonderful Cambodian people. They somehow tackled such a heavy topic, combined with entertainment and humor. Very recommended
Beautiful entertaining show with a strong moral lesson. Highly recommend
It was a superb show - beautifully performed with stunning acrobatics. We greatly enjoyed our evening - eating a meal beforehand in the cafe. Remember to bring ideally US dollars to buy food and drinks. We only just had enough hashing expected to use a card. Our only disappointment was when we discovered that something we purchased (a water bottle) in the shop afterwards wasn’t in the bag when we got back to the hotel. We should have checked before leaving so our fault. Overall an excellent evening of entertainment. We would highly recommend it.
Good experience- quite unique. 1 hour show. Nice touch getting a scarf as a little present. Good aircon/fabs for those who get hot! :)
Absolutely stupendous! Brave. Elegant & Strong. Humour that doesn't need words. The music was fantastic and played beautifully all thru the show . Highly Recommended. Do give donations to help the school
Excellent show. We had great seats but there were no really bad seats in the circus tent. Great acrobatics, upbeat music and fast paced, much better than the pricier AO show in Saigon. We did the backstage tour, which was interesting, but not really needed for the experience. I like that they fund an arts school with their profits, and support local crafts people and artists in their store. We were on a Viking River Cruise and found out they used to do this activity but were afraid of accessibility for older tourists. We had front row seats and are still mobile so no issues. The food offered in their compound was great and decent priced, higher than local prices but very fair for the venue, as well as good service and attention to food hygiene.
I had a fabulous night are the Phare Circus. I had a lovely meal and cocktails before watching the student show which was very entertaining. The main show was better than I expected, entertaining from start o finish. The only I'd say is that the camp one was maybe a little too over the top come the end, but it was fine. I sat in row C and had a perfectly good view. Get in line early to get the best seats in that area. Would highly recommend and no need to buy the expensive seats if yr travelling on a budget like me
This show outshone all our expectations. Not only does the organisation supporting local Cambodians but the show they put on was truly outstanding. Go and see it if you are in Siem Reap!!!
I went to this circus with my boyfriend at the end of a relaxing day in Siem Reap and it was such a fun evening. It started with some delicious food and drinks, then we went inside the circus tent which felt very cosy and intimate (and was air-conditioned so I didn’t even need to use the fan we were kindly provided with!). The show was about a traditional Cambodian village and was beautiful, entertaining, funny and impressive. The musicians and acrobats/actors were equally talented. The atmosphere was amazing with a lot of crowd involvement, regardless of the seats people were in. We got to meet and take photos with the cast at the end, which was a fun addition!
An amazing story using acrobatics. Such energy and vibrancy performed by a small group, accompanied by stunning music as well as art work to depict the story of a young girl experiencing the Camere rouge
Great show. This is a social enterprise designed to help artists hone their skills to lift them and their families out of poverty. It was a really entertaining show and well worth a visit.
I enjoyed this and found the show to be interesting. If you storytelling, acrobatics, and a cirque du soleil vibe, you will enjoy this. It's a circular stage. Sit directly straightahead / forward to the show
From start to finish what a wonderful evening. So worth the money. The show was an immersion of the locals perspective of tourists! Funny, entertaining, great acrobatic skills, a night that will be remembered for its uniqueness. So glad we went to Phere. Well worth a visit. You could purchase excellent food in the court yard just outside the tent and the cocktails were delicious and all very reasonably priced.
Nice acrobatic show with history and fun. We enjoyed the show.
A fabulous human circus - entertaining ci4cus story and local music. A must do if you are in the area.
I saw the White Gold performance and really enjoyed it. Arrival and check-in were easy, and there are food and drink stalls outside if you arrive early. I sat in Section B, which I thought was a great option. It isn’t assigned seating, but the view was excellent and very similar to Section A for less money. The seats themselves aren’t especially comfortable, but that’s fairly typical for a circus-style venue. The acrobatics, music and storytelling were all very good, but what stood out most was the performers. You could see how physically demanding the show was, yet they were incredibly energetic, smiling and clearly loving what they were doing. That enthusiasm really carried into the audience. It’s more intimate than extravagant and feels distinctly Cambodian. It is a little pricey, but the social mission behind the organisation adds value. I also felt completely comfortable attending alone. Definitely worth doing if it fits into your Siem Reap itinerary.
What a fun evening. There are various food and beverages outlets so you can have your dinner there before the shoe. They started on time and were very entertaining. Recommend this to all!
Brilliant entertainment by our next generation. If in the area A MUST 2 C. Great storylines and fabulous at what they do best! Entertain you with lots of laughs as well.
I would highly recommend this circus. The performers were very talented. The show was funny, fast-paced and entertaining. It is also supporting a good cause as the company gives opportunities to young people.
What a fun activity! We chose to purchase the backstage pre-tour. It was interesting being able to see where they prepared for the performance. We then also had front and center seats. The performance was very enjoyable and we are happy that we were able to support this worthy cause.
If you want to be taken around to see the lighting room with no explanation of how the lighting works for different scenes, the head gear dumped in one racks with no explanation of what the gear is or which character wears it, how the make up is done and how much time it takes and feel that it is okay to spend 25 USD then it is your call. All I can say is do not waste your money on the insider tour.
Amazing very comical and funny and a good activity to lugh
A show you don't expect to see here. Completely worth it!
Amazing experience, Worth the value, everything were great that you didn't even realize that the show was almost over. The atmosphere were amazing, the staff were friendly, the food were great and the performance were incredible.
I love it So much .it is so amazing
Great show and amazing performers! We had an awesome and fun time and would recommend this to everyone who visits Siem Reap. Also, money from tickets also helps local kids in the arts, which makes it even more worth it.
The performance was poignant, fun and inspiring. It is deeply embedded with the culture of Cambodia as well. Strongly recommended.
Great show, good display of talent, well worth a visit. We booked reserved seating but all seating seemed to have a good view and the arena was nice and cool.
Were warmly welcomed on arrival and the warm experience just continued. The show itself was fabulous and showed off Cambodian skill and humor. You should go to this if you can. The back story is great.
An hour of inspiring, energetic, wholesome fun. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
The Cambodian Circus was such a fun time I can’t recommend it enough. We arrived at around 6:30 before the 8pm show. We enjoyed the local craft store before having a delicious dinner, with many options available, and a pre show performance by local artists. Then came the main event and boy was it fun. The talent was amazing and funny throughout. Not only is the show fantastic but the cause behind it is even better. This organization so worth supporting by simply getting your ticket's to enjoy a night at the circus. Don’t miss this if you are in Siem Reap
We had a great time at the Phare Cambodian Circus. It really was a treat, and goes to show that Chat GPT does recommend some great stuff! I would get there for drinks, visit the shop and see the free show, also the food available is great. Don’t just turn up for the show. We were in section A, and worth every penny. The show was outstanding, with the story lovely but chilling, telling the story of Cambodia in the 1970’s.
This was absolutely fantastic. The acting and acrobatics was outstanding. One of our best experiences in Siem Reap.
Arrive early so you can enjoy some the street food themed food before the show. The show does change so if you’re interested in seeing a specific show, book accordingly.
Touching, funny, professional and really talented actors/acrtress! «Circus» was bit misguiding title for me, but this was such a good show/theatre!
Had such a great cultural experience! The performers were incredibly talented and the storyline behind “Sokha” was very interesting and helped me to better u destined the history of Phare and Cambodia! So glad I saw this performance.
Do not miss out on this great, fun night out. The storytelling through music, paintings and dancing & acrobatics was so entertaining. Some of the lifts and tricks were unbelievable!!!! A highly recommended evening!
Such an amazing show. Highly recommend to everyone in Siem Reap
This was a fabulous experience of human acrobatics and well worth going. There's different shows on different nights. They had a great comic element.
A great show! Even though I couldn’t understand the dialogue in their native language, the emotions, expressions, and humor came through clearly. It was easy to follow the story and enjoy the performance without needing to understand every word.
Unbelievably talented. Fantastic from start to finish. Worth every cent. For small children there is 5 mins of loud drumming which maybe scare them but prewarn small children and it will be ok. It is integral to the performance. Shop there sells arts etc which directly supports the education of young talent without middlemen. A very enjoyable show. ❤️
Do not miss this!!!! Beautiful storytelling without the need to say any words, fantastic skills on display -and above all so much soul and personality from everyone on stage!! Loved it. Lovely venue and front of house service too, arrive early to soak up the atmosphere
The performers are amazing! So talented! The costumes could be better and I felt the choreography could be improved. The performers are so talented and they need to show that off. What I really did not like was after spending 76.00usd on 2 tickets they had the audacity to put out donation boxes asking for more money!!!! This is disgusting! It really left me with a bad taste overall. This is just absolute greed. I wish the perfomers all the best but whoever is running the show needs to be replaced.
This show was one of the highlights of our trip. The admission fee was more than reasonable; the show's duration was just about right at two+ hours; the stadium was cozy enough for a personal experience but big enough for a full crowd; the staff of was helpful and polite; and it is suitable for the family. This group brings tremendous talent, hard work, devotion to showmanship and a sincere spirit the audience through a series of skits and acrobatics with a musical component. Everything that they do is homegrown , yet versatile - they play pots with the same expertise as the electric guitar, and they use furniture as they perform highly sophisticated gymnastic feats. Although they combine their skills in full complement, you can tell that they have more skills than they could possibly demonstrate in one performance. I am told that they switch their skits around, which makes sense given that they perform most days of the week. This was an electric, fascinating show no traveler should miss. The show itself is events just outside, which includes cultural dance performances by young students, with seating and succulent food available for spectators, until the circus opens its doors. The admission price is very reasonable, and the proceeds go to supporting the education and training of the performing arts school from which they hail. It is easy to see why this event came highly recommended and is highly rated. Don't miss it.
Great event . Had a great night and was well looked after . Great to see support for the artists . Glad my money was going to do some good . Great show and acrobatics were awesome.
Phare: The Cambodian Circus was one of the highlights of our time in Siem Reap and an experience I would recommend to anyone visiting Cambodia. This is far more than a circus. It is a beautiful blend of storytelling, live music, theatre and breathtaking acrobatics that showcases Cambodia's history, culture and resilience. The performers are exceptionally talented, and every act is delivered with incredible energy, precision and passion. What made the evening even more meaningful was knowing that the performance supports the education and development of young Cambodian artists. You leave not only entertained, but also inspired by the impact this organisation has on local communities. The venue is well organised, the atmosphere is vibrant, and every seat offers a great view. I would recommend arriving early to enjoy the pre-show atmosphere, browse the gift shop and have something to eat before the performance. If you are spending even one night in Siem Reap, do not miss this show. It is authentic, emotional, family friendly and one of the finest cultural experiences we had in Cambodia. A truly unforgettable evening and an easy 5 out of 5.
What a fabulously fun show. I took some friends to the show and they loved it. The performers are excellent
