The Siem Reap walking tour with Ran was the perfect introduction to get oriented in the city and see many of its highlights. I particularly appreciated Ran’s history of the life of Buddha at Preah Prohm Roath Monastery.

Officially titled “Street 8”, Pub Street is the center of action as the night falls in Siem Reap. The street, starting off at the Red Piano Restaurant and ending at the Banana Leaf Restaurant, is a 100m stretch of road speckled with neon lit clubs, bars, restaurants, and vendors.

Started punctually. Guide was very knowledgeable, informative, and nothing was too much trouble. We saw and experienced far more about Siem Reap and Cambodian life than expected. Thoroughly recommend.
Dorm was a Lovely attentive young man with agood knowledge of local customs and places of interest. Able to go at your own place and up for a chat with good english skills. Good intro to Siem Reap
Lux was a great guide, full of insights and information. Our trip through the old market was fascinating and even through the torrential rain we had a great explore of Buddhist and hidden old Hindu temples, and local craft initiatives. It was great to do this near the start of our visit to Seam Reap.
This is a must do if you are in Siem Reap. Our tour guide, Aaron, introduced us to the city and country and even shared some of his personal experiences, notably regarding the Killing Fields. The Hero Rats tour was also something not to be missed.
Long was our guide!! He was very knowledgeable. Explained everything well and answered all our questions with patience. Even though it was raining. He took us to all the places. We had an amazing experience!!
A very informative and interesting tour around Siem Reap. Long was a very good tour guide. He was considerate, knowledgeable and interesting.
Excellent city tour of Siem Reap. Nak was our guide and he was outstanding - enthusiastic, knowledgeable and very kind. He met us at our hotel promptly with a Tuk tuk and driver. It was a great experience to travel in the tuk tuk! He had cold bottled water available and was very attentive to ensure that we were comfortable throughout the tour. We highly recommend Nak as a guide and recommend this tour!
We had a wonderful tour with Long sewing the markets, temples and other local sites around Siem Reap. He was a great guide and I highly recommend hiring him
Long gave us a great private walking tour of Siem Reap. He took time to tell us lots of information and to answer all of our spontaneous questions! Very friendly and adaptable, which was great since we were travelling with a one-year-old. Thanks, Long!
Long helped us understand the Cambodian people and culture. He spoke English well and gave us very interesting insights into Cambodia, both past and present. Highly recommended.
Had a nice time walking with Dorn and getting an introduction to the beautiful city. Learned about the various religions and visited some sights. Thank you!
We had the great pleasure of exploring the Charms of Siem Reap with Mr. Long as our guide. His attentiveness and exceptional historical knowledge truly set him apart. From the intricate details of the temples to the cultural significance of the region, Mr. Long provided insights that brought the history of Siem Reap to life. He was patient, engaging, and always ensured we had the best experience possible. If you're looking for a knowledgeable and dedicated guide, Mr. Long is an excellent choice. Highly recommended!
Excellent guide and driver. Didn’t particularly like the last stop at the handicraft shop and works.
Excellent local tour with Long! Learned so much about local living -- the marketplace, the pagodas, the history behind Buddha, and more. It was refreshing to get away from all the touristy activities. Enjoyed a delicious local snack / light meal as well. Long was knowledgeable, good-natured, with a great sense of humor. Highly recommend this tour.
We had a great day wandering the fascinating sites of Siem Riep with Long! He took us to places we would have never found on our own and told us about each and every place! We love going behind the scenes and this was perfect! Would highly recommend, you’ll love it!!
We are from a buddhism country so we were not quite excited about the temples and buddha story. The only highlight spot in my opinion was the palace with shrine. The walk along the river was nice but more enjoyable after 5.30pm when the sun started to go down. Our guide was lovely and took care of us well.
We loved our Highlights & Hidden Gems of Siem Reap tour with Ngoun (Lux). We decided to book this tour after such a successful Angkor Wat tour with Lux and we were not disappointed. We travelled about the city in a tuk tuk and Lux asked us what we would be interested in seeing so he could tailor the tour for us. The highlights were experiencing the local food market, the backstreet gems of the Pub Street area, a stunning ministry and learning about the history of Buddhism. The beautiful palace grounds and their captivating bronze statues and a secret hidden temple which is being refurbished. Our highlight was a visit to the Apopo visitors centre where we discovered and learnt about rats which can detect landmines through smell. Our tuk tuk driver was brilliant too and kept us in fresh supply of ice cold water. We highly recommend this tour if you’d like to get to know Siem Reap more.
We had a wonderful tour with Long as our guide. He is extremely knowledgeable and we throughly enjoyed seeing the sights of Siem Reap and learning more about Cambodia. Would highly recommended this tour if you want to learn more about Cambodia and Siem Reap.
The tour with Long was great. He showed us places that we would have never visited without him. His knowledge regarding the history and religion of Cambodia and Siem Reap is perfect. He could answer all of our questions, no matter if it was about the City, Country or religious background. I can only recommend a tour with Long as a Guide. And if he was not answering our questions he was lightening the mood with funny jokes and even slightly changed the tour after we asked him to. Great experience.
Showed us the highlights of the city with local commentary which was informative. A quick efficient tour
I had a great touring in that I got to see multiple parts of the city, markets, temples, bars and many amazing sites. I was also given very good information about the History of the city and country.
We were in Siem Reap for 4 days and our tour was very much focussed on the temples and other attractions out of town. So the free time we had on our first day we booked a walking tour with Long that included lunch. He was an excellent guide who showed many aspects of the centre of town - the food and craft markets, restaurants, pagodas, temples and so on. He gave us our bearings so that we were confident when we left our hotel that we could explore the town and eat and drink and get the real experience of the place rather than confining ourself to the hotel. We had some snacks in the market, then lunch in a local cafe. Nothing was too much trouble and I would highly recommend Long if you are spending any time in Siem Reap.
From the minute we booked Long kept in touch with us and was a superb guide showing us around Siem Reap .we visited various pagodas markets and Royal Palace.Long was very friendly and knowledgeable and we would reccomend booking Long if in Siem Reap
We had an excellent walking tour around Siem Reap with Long. He is a very knowledgeable man with a personality you can instantly get on with and a great sense of humour. He used his life experiences along with what we were seeing to give us a picture of life in Cambodia. Every question we asked was answered and we visited all the locations you would expect to plus more. I think one of our highlights was simply sitting in a cafe talking to Long!
Ly was a great guide. He provided an abundance of information about everything from food and Cambodian-made goods to history and culture. The 3-hour tour was informative and a great way to begin my time in Siem Reap.
What a wonderful informative tour, highly recommend if you have only a short time in the city! Got to see all the highlights that make Siem reap what it is today! Guide was knowledgeable and friendly'
I had the absolute privilege of being taken around Siem Reap by Meng. Not only was he extremely knowledgeable, friendly and full of great suggestions as to what to see and do but his English was fantastic meaning we could have really engaging conversations around the local way of life. I am so grateful to him for this experience. If you’re travelling on your own or as a group ask for this guy! He’s an absolute star.
Ly Chenda is one of the best guides I have ever had. This includes, Italy, Egypt and SE Asia. His knowledge is incredible and he is flexible, funny and a good man. His brother drives the Tuk Tuk and is a lot of fun. I can not recommend Ly enough. We booked him for the next day and had another incredible day. You will not be disappointed with Ly and this tour.
I highly recommend this tour if you’re visiting Siam Reap. It provided a great introduction to the city and covered all of the major highlights. We purchased a fresh coconut from a local vendor’s store which was a lovely authentic experience and a welcome relief from the heat. Long was a fantastic guide - highly knowledgeable and very communicative. An all-round well-organised experience.
Our Guide ( Samuth ) was very friendly and very courteous. He kept us out of the hot sun (as much as possible) and let us relax after lunch and get a much needed rest. The Driver was also excellent and was very safe.
On the last day of as our holiday we booked a 3-hour tour with ‘withlocals’ and were shown around parts of Siem Reap that we’d not had chance to see earlier in our holiday. Our Guide- Sen Sith was excellent. After collecting us by Tuc Tuc from our hotel he provided a well thought out route to include the places we wanted to see and answered all the many questions we had about life in Cambodia. Importantly for us (who weren’t used to the heat), we walked at a slow pace and included an important coffee stop that provided another (cooler) opportunity to discuss Cambodian life. Very highly recommended.
What a great way to orientate into a new town or city. Our experience with Long, introducing us to Siem Reap, with his enthusiasm and local knowledge was just the introduction we needed to go on and explore what we wanted for the duration of our stay. Would recommend this walking tour with Long around the city to anyone wanting an interactive and well thought out introduction to Siem Reap
This was an enjoyable tour both on foot and with a tuk tuk of interesting sites within the city of Siem Reap. I visited landmarks such as the old market and the monastery that I found fascinating. My guide Chhehai spoke perfect English and was very courteous and knowledgeable about Siem Reap’s lesser known but equally intriguing places of interest. I highly recommend this tour that focuses on interesting locations within the boundaries of Siem Reap.
Had a great three hour tour with Long of the downtown area of Siem Reap, often overlooked because of temple visiting. It was great getting my bearings and Long is an engaging guide with lots of information about SR and Cambodia. The time flew by and I would recommend this tour highly. Thank you, also for the bowl of chicken curry in the market and the delicious coconut. An excellent tour and guide.
Book a tour with Long, you won't regret it! Long was on time and showed me so many places in Siem Reap. The market was the absolute highlight in my opinion. So much to see and so different and more colorful than in my country. Besides the market, Long showed me so many magnificent places and has all the knowledge about them. He is funny, speaks very good English and is easy going. I can definitely recommend him to be your guide when visiting Siem Reap.
Long was a wonderful guide, his English was good and he took his time letting us go at our own pace and answering all our questions. Highly recommend this tour
Dorn Dam was our very knowledgeable tour guide who shared with us his comprehensive understanding of not only the local area in Siem Reap, but his knowledge of the geo-political religious history that helped shaped the city and Cambodia in general. Upon request, Dam also took us to the main temple in town so that we could offer up prayers and receive blessings from the monk. This was our highlight of our Hidden Gem tour with Dam. Can highly recommend Dorn Dam as your guide in Siem Reap.
Jaimie is very knowledge and about his city. He shows a true passion for the good things to come for Siem Reap.
- long is a very good guide - he knows a lot - he speak very good English - interesting visit of the old market
I had a great time with Long during my two-day tour in Angkor in Dec 2019. He was reasonably deep into the history and modern state of each site I visited, as well as flexible and accommodative of all the asks my family and I had all the way even the journey. Thanks a lot!
Long is simply the best tour guide we've ever had. We went on full day tour to Angkor Wat , long and the driver (apologies but I forgot the name) had made this trip very memorable. Long is very knowledgeable, he will tell you everything you need to know and more. I had a lot of questions but he answered them before I even asked!!! He would personalise the tour according to the guest. My wife is pregnant so he kindly suggested not to walk up the high stairs towards the end. (Which is good because I felt tired myself 😂😂). Long has a lot of knowledge not only about the place you visit but also about the whole country's history, economy and culture. Amazing experience, fantastic host fluent in English, very kind and helpful driver who showed us real, Cambodian hospitality by looking after us whenever we were back to vehicle. 100% recommended, thank you very, very much
Great tour to discover Siem Reap and the local life. It's nice to visit something different from the markets and the busy tourist pub streets. I enjoyed the visits to the local market place and trying out drinks and snacks and seeing local art & crafts too. Ngoun was kind, fun and very helpful with tips and info on how to get around the city and where to try local cuisine. We really enjoyed this tour.
Did this tour the day we arrived and was a perfect way to learn things about Siem Reap. Lux our guide was fantastic- lots of interesting facts, seeing places a tourist wouldn't normally find and always happy to answer any questions
Lux is a fabulous guide with an engaging manner. He made the day great fun with his local knowledge and I would highly recommend him!
We really enjoyed this tour. If you prefer to know the Real Seam Reap then do check this out. We also found several hidden gems that we would never have stumbled upon ourselves. Our guide Nguon (his nickname is Lux) was kind, patient, and accommodating. He has perfect English. Being well-travelled himself, we really enjoyed our conversations and his company. I'll certainly book him again on my future trips
We went to Angkor with John for the Hidden Gems Tour. He knows a lot about the history and told us a lot about Buddhism as well. We had seen some temples already, but he had no problem altering the tour for us a little bit. Can 100% recommend, we had a great time!
I booked a tour the night before I wanted to go. Chan Thoeun was completely open and flexible to making the food less about food and adding equal parts culture, religion and history. She even came to get me when Google maps sent me to the wrong meeting place. We walked through a part of town where she'd grown up, she shared personal stories and they interwove seamlessly with the history and culture of the area. We went to 2 temples, walked through local markets, had cool lime juice drinks, delicious chive cakes and an amazing rice dessert. Chan is friendly, charming, super smart and fun to be around and her energetic connection to her home city is contagious. I highly recommend taking any tour with her.
My walk through Siem Reap with Chan Thoeun was the perfect start to my visit to Siem Reap, it was like being met by a friend at my hotel and chatting as we walked.
Our city tour with Chan was thoroughly enjoyable. She is a friendly, warm and knowledgable guide with excellent English. She answered all our questions about day to day life, customs and beliefs and showed us around the local markets, temples and the local area. If you are interested in spending a few relaxed hours with a charming local who will make you laugh, then Chan is the guide for you. Our time with Chan was one of the highlights of our trip.
