Full-day Angkor Wat Sunrise Tours & Beng Mealea Hidden Gem Temple

What a great journey to experience ! We are couple had chance to guide by our local tour guide Mr Yanos and SUV driver Mr Tha Tha to explore several Angkor temples such as Angkor Wat at sunrise, Angkor Thom with Bayon temple in the center, Ta Prohm twinned temple with trees, Banteay Srei with perfect color and best carvings also the hidden gems of Beng Mealea, we are totally loved the trip and recommended this awesome adventure to everyone.

This was an excellent time viewing a number of temples near Siem Reap starting with Angkor Wat at sunrise. Definitely bring comfortable shoes. The driver was courteous and friendly providing cool towels and cold water after each stop. The guide was passionate about the subject matter and very knowledgeable.

So so happy I chose this tour. It is a private tour and well worth it. The guide was so knowledgeable and also brought me to some areas off the beaten path. If you only have a day to see the temples, this is the tour to choose.

We booked this private tour for our family of 5. We were very much looking forward to visiting one of the world’s oldest and famous Hindu/Buddhist temple and Hun did not disappoint. He was an excellent guide with a lot of knowledge about the history of the various temples that we visited. He was friendly, easy to talk to and very accommodating of our needs. The driver, John, was great. He arrived on time for our pick up at 4.50am, was a safe driver and had umbrellas in the car for us to use when the rain started, water and cold towels to freshen up. All communication from booking to the actual tour was very clear. Thank you Hun and John for a brilliant early morning trip to this very special area in Cambodia and for the nice photo souvenirs that we took.

What a wonderful day with a wonderful guide!! I learned so much about history, architecture, and local culture during this day. I was well taken care of and saw everything I would hope to see. This was a fantastic experience. It was a hot and humid day, and the comfortable air-conditioned care, ample cold waters, and cold towels were always a comfort. I give this 5+ ratings!

Sam Ho Lin is an exceptional tour guide, very knowledgeable in history of the temples we visited, as well as Cambodia in general. He took excellent pics and was very patient with our slow pace over a long day. We highly recommend him!

This was incredible! Sam was very knowledgeable, told us the history and context for the beautiful sights, knew all the best places and was a great photographer as well! He was attentive to our needs, answering our questions, accommodated to what we needed/wanted, providing water regularly, stopping for a snack just because we were interested. It was definitely worth getting the private extended tour! I would 100% recommend Sam!

Mr Han was a wonderful tour guide! He was accommodating to our needs and very knowledgeable of all the temples. We saw everything in one day which was perfect for our short stay. Mr Mouy was a safe and reliable driver. They picked us up on time and everything was perfect.

I wanted to go here for more than a decade and make sure I don't just "tike the box", but actually learn about Angkor, it's art and history. While this was certainly not the cheapest option, it was worth every penny. The coordination beforehand was super smooth, we got good tips how to get tickets in advance and everything went super smooth. Sok Chea is a great guide, who has been educated in art and history of angkor and is ready to answer any questions, share stories beyond that, plus: a great photographer who knows the good spots for that. Likewise, Sojea, our driver, is careful, very polite, nice and reliable. at no point did we feel any unease and felt very happy he was looking after our things while we were visiting the temple. The whole trip has been an amazing day, we could do it at our own pace. That means stop, where we are interested and skip over things we don't find interesting. This is a highly recommended activity and well worth the money spent.

Our guide Sam is a knowledgeable man who brought the wall carvings in the temples to life by telling us the details of the stories behind the carvings. He is patient, never hurrying us. He speaks good English and is good with the camera, helping us to "frame" all our pictures very interestingly.

We had an amazing trip with Sam our tourguide and driver. He could tell us so many details about the historical places we visited and also has hreat knowledge about his country's history. He took wonderful fotos from us from very special locations. The car was cooled down well and Sam dupplied us with as many water bottlrs as we needed. We can highly recommend this special tour were we visited 5 different temples within 11 hours. He could answer all our questions, and there were plenty of them. ;-)

Our guide, Bunna, and our driver were excellent. They were punctual and friendly in the morning and the remainder of the tour. Bunna was an expert and shared just the right amount of knowledge on the various temples, including Angkor Wat. Each of the temples was unique and interesting. Watching the sun rise over Angkor Wat was incredible. Highly recommend!!

I selected a solo tour because I didn't want to be rushed when exploring the temples. The guide was very considerate of my needs and went at my pace. After two of the more popular temples I requested that we go to temples with fewer tourists, because I wanted to take pictures without other tourists in them. The guide agreed, and our last two temples were wonderful - hardly any people. After 4 sites, I wilted and headed back to the hotel. I would recommend this tour.

Sam Picked us up at the hotel with a driver. They drove us to the Wats in a comfortable van. Sam took us around and explain the story of Cambodia and the Angkor Wats. Same is very knowledgeable and soo nice. He is also an awesome photographer. My husband and I were able to roam and look around as he took wonderful pics of us. The Wats are so beautiful to see in person. This is a must if you are in Cambodia. But do not go alone. We recommend hiring this company and taking a guide with you. I'm sure all the other guides are good but we feel lucky that we got Sam.

Mr. Bunna was punctual for our 5AM pick up to see the sunrise at Angkor Wat. Our tour was insightful and thorough. Mr. Bunna guided us to exact locations to take the most iconic pictures. He was a ton of fun to be around and even a fantastic photographer (incredibly patient as well). If you are looking for a tour guide in Cambodia, then Mr. Bunna is the only way to go!

Wow. Sam Pho checks all the boxes for a charismatic, engaging, and knowledgeable tour guide. Sam starts your tour off with education and excitement early in the morning and finds you a secret spot to watch the Angkor Wat sunrise. Unlike everyone else’s, your photos will be free of crowds. He’s also a photographer and took some of the most memorable shots of my wife and me on our honeymoon. Sam is a genuinely nice human being and we were happy to support his business. You will be too, since no trip to Siem Reap is complete without his tour.

We hired a private guide for a 3-day tour to the main ancient temples near Siem Reap and it has been a wonderful and comfortable experience. They pick you up at the hotel by car and guide you through the entire visit. Our guide was Bunna, very easy going and professional. He told us all the temple history providing a lot of detail and suggesting the best places to take pictures from. He also helped us taking a lot of pictures for us :D Very nice experience.

We had one of the best private tours. Mr Bunna was on time to pick us up at the hotel. He took us to see the sunrise - knew how to get past the crowd to a place with a great view. We have 2 small children and Mr Bunna was very considerate of them and adjusted as needed. I highly recommend him. Our driver was also great.

We had booked a feature 2 days tour with Sam Pho & his company to visit Angkor temples & floating village. The servive was great with very knowledgeable tour guide Mr Bunna & friendly driver Nara. My wife and I selected this tour as we only had one full day in Siem Reap and it did not disappoint. The price was more than fair ($135 total for the entire day in the private SUV including driver) and our guide Sam Pho was excellent. I had emailed the website around a month out to book the tour and Sam communicated immediately every time. This was our itinerary which I felt was a perfect amount of time for seeing the Angkor Wat complex some of the other temple complexes further away from Siem Reap: Picked up at our hotel at 5 am, then going to visit sunrise and tour at Angkor Wat. Then visited Bayon, Ta Prohm the tomb raider temple covered by jungles and giant trees and then further outskirt Bantey Srei temple 38 km away. Lunch nearby. Afternoon off to visit Beng Mealea located 68 km away. Transfer to hotel by 3:30 pm. We went on the tour in early March and it was still very hot. It was wonderful and refreshing to have ice cold water and cold towels every time we got back in the car. Sam had warned us not to try and pack in any more stops because we would get "templed out" and he was absolutely correct. After Beng Mealea we felt like we were about done. All of the stops were incredible and it was nice to be able to explore the complexes without being part of a group and arrange our schedule if we wanted to stay a little longer or leave a little sooner. Again, Sam was just an incredible guide and explained so much to us. I wouldn't hesitate to book with him again if we return someday. You will not be disappointed!

my boyfriend and i took a 1 day tour of temples ( angkor wat tours to beng mealea) we had Sam as our tour guide and he was excellent and explained a lot not just about temples history ( we wanted to know more about hinduism and buddhisum and sam explained us in full precise detail ) . He also told us about cambodia which we didn’t know about. Sam is also have a great skills with iphone photography , he takes great photos from great locations of temples. tour provided us with Air-con van with cold water, cold towel and even popped out umbrella when it rained. i highly recommend booking a tour from this company if you wanna see the temples and know it’s history and look for Sam as tour guide cause you won’t regret it.

Great 2 days learning about the real Cambodia and seeing the countryside first-hand in addition to Angkor Wat and surrounding temples. Sam was very courteous and knowledgeable and was a great guide. I would highly recommend his services to anyone visiting Siem Reap and surrounding areas.

We used Sam for a private 2 day tour of the temples including the sun rise at Ankor Wat and a trip to the floating village on the following day. If you’re coming to Siem Reap, I strongly suggest you book a private tour with this company. Ask for Sam as your tour guide - he was amazing. And he knew where to take the best photos at each location and was more than happy to take photos for you (including panoramic shots - he’s an expert with the iPhone photo features). He also knows everything you possibly could know about each temple. His driver Nara is awesome too and safely got us from place to place in the comfort of A/C (which is a must in April in Cambodia) and kept us hydrated with cold bottles of water at each stop. We even stopped for a quick breakfast after seeing the sun rise at Angkor Wat. Highly recommend.

We booked three days of temple tours with Sam during our stay in Siem Reap and had a fantastic time. He worked with us to craft an itinerary that helped us make the most of our time. Sam is clearly very knowledgeable about Cambodian history and archaeology and more than willing to share that knowledge. He's especially good about helping you see all the key sights while also avoiding the massive crowds. Sometimes this means starting a bit earlier or keeping up a certain pace, but it's well worth heeding his advice. As we went to some of the further afield temples (Beng Melea, for instance) we had some quality time in the car together. I really enjoyed discussing both American and Cambodian life, geography, and history with Sam. For what services he provides, his prices are very reasonable. I would highly recommend using Sam (or his colleagues) to make the most of your trip to Siem Reap.

My wife and I booked a private tour with Mr Bunna, with Mr Leak as driver, and had a remarkable two days touring Angkor Wat and nearby temples. Mr. Bunna is extremely knowledgeable about the history of the temples and the Khmer civilization. He really brought the temples to life and made the sites much more relevant and meaningful. He was extremely good about setting the right pace, avoiding crowds, setting us up with the best photo opps, etc... We never felt rushed and rarely encountered crowds since Mr Bunna would take us in side entrances or stop and tell a story if a tour group was in the way. He is truly a superb guide, and also a very nice person - we really enjoyed spending time with him. We highly recommend Mr. Bunna, he made our trip to Angkor Wat truly memorable!

My trip to Siem Reap was great primarily because Sam was my group's tour guide. We had a two day, private tour beginning with watching the sun rise at Angkor Wat. Sam and the driver picked us up from our hostel promptly at 5, and we made it to the temple with plenty of time to get situated and watch the sun rise. Sam is incredibly knowledgable and answered every question we had about each temple as well as about Cambodia as a whole. He definitely knows his way around a camera too, and we left with fantastic group and individual photos that he took. The driver was great as well, and we made it to each site safely and efficiently. Sam and the driver consistently had cold waters for us whenever we asked, and they took us to eat great food (breakfast and lunch on Day 1, and lunch on Day 2). Water was included in the tour price, and food was not. This tour is definitely worth your money!! Sam is great company. If you don't have time for the two day tour, definitely have him take you Angkor Wat.

Our tour guide was Han, who spoke English extremely well, which worked out with our group of Vietnamese, Filipino and English speakers (we’re a diverse family)! Han and our driver spent 3 days with us, picking us up each morning. Han would lead the charge when it came to recommended photo ops, locations for best views of sunrise at Angkor Wat, and rocket purchases so we wouldn’t be ripped off. He was hilarious, and I highly recommend booking Han if you are visiting Siem Reap!

We had booked Sam for 3 days as our guide to visit the Angkor sites - major temples and some smaller ones - and also Tonle Sap Lake on day 3. We actually followed the programme Sam suggested to organise the 3 days of our stay and this was perfect. The sequence of the visit was very well thought out, visiting some less restored temples after having comprehended how the temples were supposed to look like and to function from the main temples visited on day 1 (started to visit Angkor Vat on day 1, from East entrance which is much less crowded and allowed to be in awe right from the beginning of our itinerary). Sam is extremely knowledgeable about the history of the sites, the religious mythology and relating those to each part of our visits (architecture, sculptures, carvings, etc.). He speaks excellent English and was very easy to understand and always available to answer our questions. Sam knew his way around to minimize the presence of other tourists and drawing our attention to all the major gems to be seen, knowing all angles to observe and take the best pictures from (he took great pictures of our little group of 3 - a couple + one adult child). Always smiling, we were so happy to share with Sam non only great visits but also friendly moments which have become integral part of the success of this unique trip. We could not recommend enough to be accompanied by Sam to discover the magic of Angkor. Thank you for your kind hospitality.

Spend a few days in Siem Reap. Took a day trip to Angkor Way with Sam. Sam picked us up exactly at 8 am as requested. The day trip was very present with Sam explaining everything in details. lunch was arranged for us. Cold bottle water supplied by Sam and the driver. All in all a very present day.

Mr. Bunna provided my husband and me with a fantastic tour of Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, and a few of the other smaller temples and buildings. His English was excellent and he provided just the right amount of detail, without going overboard with information and making even the last temple we visited sound interesting.
