Itinerary
Take a ride on the traditional Bamboo Train, a bamboo platform laid over 2 sets of wheels on a single track. In the old days this was used to transport goods between Battambang and Phnom Penh and was a typical mode of transport for farmers and villagers. Today, it takes you through the beautiful countryside to a little village you can explore on foot before returning to your starting point.
Climb the 365 stairs to marvel at Wat Banan, an Angkor era temple which sits on top of a hill close to the Sanker river. Banan is seldom frequented by tourists and outside of Cambodian holidays it is likely that you may be the only visitor.
The Killing Caves of Phnom Sampeau (also known as Phnom Sampov) are a place of beauty, turned tragedy, turned beauty once more. Take a truck up the steep incline to the starting point and descend into the cave with your guide, who will brings the tragic history of this place to life. Stop along the way to experience the stunning views across the valley below.
Scale the side of a mountain leading to the 'secret bat cave' just before sunset where you will sit atop the mountain waiting for the millions of bats located inside the cave to awake. Marvel as this seemingly never-ending stream of fruit bats fly out of the cave and off into the countryside for their evening meal.

What a brilliant day, Kim, the tour guide is excellent and I would ask for him by name. We started off in the local market which was incredible, nothing like I have seen before. We then went around the city and Kim used his local knowledge to show us very interesting places. Then the Bamboo train, what a highlight! The lunch was excellent in a very local place. The killing caves were very moving, with Kim adding his own personal story too. Kim took an amazing sunset photo, knowing just the right spot. Finally the visit to the bat cave was also just incredible. Overall an amazing day, and to also mention the transfer driver was also very nice and his car was very comfortable.
From start to finish this tour was exceptional. Our driver Ro was ready & waiting to pick us up at 7am and made the very smooth journey to Battambang while we rested. Then we met Kim who was our guide for the day. He went above and beyond to make the day unforgettable for us. Stopping at so many planned and unplanned spots to share his knowledge. We loved the bamboo railway, local lunch spot and sunset with the monkeys. The bat cave was truly unforgettable too. Kim is so passionate about Cambodia, knows all the history and answered so many of our questions - having a good guide makes all the difference. He even stopped to show us fruit trees we had never seen before, spotted a live scorpion!!! And got us helping the locals plant cauliflower. He knows all the spots away from tourists at sunset and took the best photos. We were sad for the day to end but a nice air conditioned drive made the 2.5 hours go fast and the day really didn’t seem that long. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone coming to Siem Reap who wants to escape to a quieter, more local area where your money really benefits the local people. Thank you Ro & Kim!!
Excellent tour from start to finish. Drive from siem reap to battambang took around 3 hours. Once we got there, our tour guide Vannak brought us around with his tuktuk. Please ask for Vannak if you choose to go for this tour as he will go out of his way to make your experience worth it. Went to many places not even mentioned in the itinerary that was worth it such as the hanging bridge and the fruit bats. Very unique experience and not to be missed. Vannak was also very informative and knowledgeable on all topics related to battambang which gave us a better insight to the culture and history
A wonderful way to end my week in Cambodia. This trip was extremely well curated and executed, from the ride to Siem Reap, the tuk tuk ride, the excellent driver and tour guide, the bamboo train experience, the temples, country side, city tour, the caves, the history and the bats. All of it was a great experience. Highly recommend!
If you want a comfortable tour this is not for you, we were picked up by our driver in Siem Reap and transported to meet Kim our Tuk tuk driver and I have to admit it wasn’t what I was expecting but thankfully it turned out to be an experience I wouldn’t have missed for the world. After a tour of Battambang we headed to the famous bamboo train ( hurry as if rumours are correct this will be another thing resigned to the countries history) it was a pleasure to experience the real Cambodia as we drove through the local villages, Kim took the time to stop whenever we wanted including learning up close about the rice fields, first time seen it before the packaging. Kim is a bit of a Dr Doolittle who talks to all the animals on the way (cockerel is his speciality ) when we witnessed the bats coming from the bat cave , he taught us how to make snake sounds and get the bats to “Jump” killing caves shouldn’t be explained but experienced by everyone to learn how cruel humans can be, however on a cheerier not alway smile and wave to the kids .they love it
Absolutely amazing was so happy to have been able to book this tour. The driver who picked me up was on time and my tour guide Kim was amazing and super nice and very knowledgeable about Battambang and its history. Got to see a lot and do a lot and nothing was rushed.
Wow! Ok, where do I begin? This tour started off with a relaxing personal car ride from Siem Reap to Battambang. My driver was polite and made sure I was comfortable. Shared a coffe together, and he even showed me a picture that he had seen of me online in Siem Reap news at the water festival which he shared with me immediatly over whatsapp! Sooo cool!! Upon arrival at Battambang, I was greeter by Mr. Kim and his tuk tuk... this man, MADE my day AND my trip! As a local to Battambang he was able to take me all around introducing me to locals and showing me their daily lives in the city, the market, and the farms. He showed me all the cool hidden jems of the area including a secluded tree that is packed with fruit bats... which he snuck off to shake for me so I could see them all fly!!! Wow!! Mr. Kim was knowledgable on the culture and lore of the area and provided so much insight on the beliefs and culture of the people living in Battambang. He shared the entire history of modern Cambodia and even divulged his direct family inpact of the war while at the killing caves and gave me such an appreciation for the Cambodians who lived thru that era. All I have to say in the end. Is that, if you truly want to experience Battambang & truly understand the history and life of the Cambodian people. This tour & Mr. Kim is the way! Thank you Mr. Kim & Driver, this was truly the highlight of my trip to Cambodia. 🙏
I really enjoyed this tour! We toured the temples earlier, and this tour was very different. It was a relaxing day in the countryside. We got to see everyday life in a Cambodian village. Kim was personable and very knowledgeable. His English was clear and understandable. He explained the unfortunate history of this town and others nearby. We rode the bamboo train, climbed the steps to the temple, and visited the cave. The entire tour is via tuk tuk with the exception of the transfer back and forth from Siem Reap. This was approximately 2.5 hours in a clean, air-conditioned vehicle. I would recommend this tour!
It maybe mostly my issue but one day trip from Siem Reap to Battambang is not a good idea. Takes too long to travel 5 hours round trip
Excellent tour a long day though left Siem Reap at 7am and did not get back till 9pm. Great day saw the main town, went on The Bamboo Train, visited a temple, saw the killing caves and visited the bat caves. Tour guide excelllent as well. Spent most of the day on a tuk tuk.
Excellent tour. Early start at 7am and not returning to Siem Reap until 9pm. Great day though with a trip on Bamboo Train and also visiting a temple. Also visited killing cave and bat cave.
A huge thank you to Kim for a really enjoyable day. We were picked up from your hotel from Siem Riep to Battanbang, where we met our tour guide Kim who was wating patently on his Tuk Tuk. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole day, as we visited many different places and learnt a lot about the history of Cambodia – this trip is a must if you plan to visit Cambodia.
We were picked up by our driver from the hotel and driven to Battambang to meet up with our tuk tuk driver Dave and guide for the day. He was a lovely man and very informative throughout the day. We had a very interesting trip around the local market which gave us a real insight into how the Cambodian farmers work to sell their products. The bamboo train was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed the ride down the track. Lunch was simple but delicious. We went through some of the small villages onto our next location and welcomed and waved at by all the lovely children with huge smiles on their faces. It was one of the best parts of our day. The bat cave was great, although it was late when they decided to fly out it was still amazing to see the stream of bats flying out. It was by far the best day of our 5 week holiday and made better by Dave showing us the real Cambodia
Our guide, Kim, was excellent. He brought to life the history of his country, was very knowledgeable and was happy to stop at anything we thought was interesting. He made the tour extra special.
David was our tour guide for a whole day tour through Battambang. We arrived from Siam Reap early in the morning and even three days later it is still a trip we like to think about. The day was completely packed with activities andDavid excused himself several times not having enough time to go into great details. Nevertheless I want to highlight that he covered everything and gave us all information in a nutshell. I will remember the story of how Battambang was founded forever and it was told this great that i am able to repeat it, even if you would wake me up in the middle of the night. Definitely a tour guide i can recommend from the bottom of my heart. Cheers David
Excellent, well thought out day trip that covers so much of Battambang. We got picked up at 7am from our accommodation. Our driver was very friendly and thoughtful (he even gave us fruit for the long and late night drive back). Our tour guide, David, was absolutely brilliant. Not only did David cover everything listed in the tour with great detail and passion, but he also went out of his way to take us to some extra spots he thought we might like. We felt really immersed in the local culture, and came away with a much greater understanding of Cambodia’s history. We enjoyed the frequent stops at local markets and restaurants for tasty cuisine, and even drove through the countryside to see the farmland. David’s charisma made him the perfect, fun tour guide and he carefully answered all our questions. Thank you so much for a fantastic day!
Excellent day. Long but constantly active. Kim was a great guide, funny, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Never rushed. Made a few little stops to try local fruit or take pictures. Would recommend.
We recently did a full day Battambang trip, and it was a fantastic day out. Leaving from Siem Reap, we were collected punctually at 07:00 by our driver Tri, who took us to Battambang, where we met up with Kim, who was to be our Tuktuk driver and guide for the day. We started with a brief history of the city, then a trip to the local morning market. It was fantastic to see people selling and shopping in the same way they have for hundreds of years. Everything was on sale, from fresh produce to frogs, snails and snakes. We stoped for an excellent coffee, and then had a look at some of the French architecture around town. A stop at the Battambang statue followed, with Kim telling us the story of the magic stick, and how the city was named. Then off into the countryside to the Bamboo train, passing the swinging bridge along the way. The bamboo train was a highlight - What an experience! Therafter, off to Banan Temple, with its 365 steps. After a quick lunch on the water near the temple, we headed to the Golden temple on a hilltop, where we enjoyed the sunset, with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. A short stroll to the Killing and Frog Caves, with their horrific history, and then back to the TukTuk and on to the Bat Cave, where we arrived just as millions of bats were streaming out of the cliff face on their evening feeding flight. A short trip to the highway to meet up with Tri again, and a 2.5 hour ride back to Siem Reap, arriving around 21:30. A full day, but an amazing one. Kim and Tri looked after us so well - Highly recommended.
If you want to know the real Cambodia with a knowledgeable local guide book this tour! An absolutely memorable day with Kim and his tuk tuk! And a big thanks to our driver who was super friendly guy.
Great guide Kim who was so knowledgeable, kind and a true professional throughout the day. Loads packed into the day!
Car came to pick us up on time. In Battambang we met our guide Kim. He was really friendly and very informative. He drove us around in his tuk tuk and explained the places (city area, statues, country side, mountain and the history etc.) He answer all our questions about the culture and showed us also the local life. He also prepared us plenty of water for the hot day. The day didn't feel too long (I think it says 15h but time flew by). Food was also delicious. He spoke good english. Excellent guide, we would do this again anytime with Kim as our guide. Highly recommend.
We had an amazing time with our guide David and driver Mr Chea. The ride to and from Battambang was smooth, safe and comfortable with Mr Chea, who was also very kind and offered to stop when we wanted and gave us fruit on the way home. When we got to Battambang the day was full of interesting stories and sights. David was so welcoming and made us feel so comfortable, and showed us some amazing places in Battambang. He has great knowledge of the area and would point out interesting things along our trip, making stops as he saw best for us. Would really recommend if you want one day in Battambang to see all key sights in a relaxed and efficient way!
A really great day out. Picked up early in the morning from the hotel by Tree who was to be our driver for the day. Met Kim our guide at Battambang who was having problems with his Tuk Tuk so was unable to drive us around as planned. It wasn't a problem as Tree took on the role as driver for the entire day. There were a couple of unforeseen hiccups along the way but all of them were sorted with zero fuss and a smile. Everything about the day was great but it is a lengthy drive day to and from Siem Reap which makes a very long day out. Recommend this as a day out. Kim & Tree and really nice people.
Our one-day excursion to Battambang was the grand finale of our holiday in Cambodia, and it turned out to be the absolute best. Despite the long drive from Siem Reap (2.5-3 hours each way), this tour was so well-designed and enriching that every minute felt worth it. It’s a must-do if you’re looking for a meaningful and unforgettable experience outside of Siem Reap. Our journey started with Tree (or Tri), our driver, who made the long drive so comfortable and relaxing. His safe and focused driving allowed us to rest and even sleep peacefully on the way there and back, which gave us the energy to fully enjoy the day. Once in Battambang, our experience shifted into high gear with Kim, our exceptional guide and tuk-tuk driver. Kim was truly the star of the day. He not only followed the itinerary perfectly but also accommodated every additional stop we requested. From visiting a tobacco shop where we learned how to roll tobacco from a grandmother, to exploring a fresh market to try local street food, and even tasting barbecued rat, Kim went above and beyond to ensure we experienced the true essence of Battambang. Kim’s storytelling and humor brought history and culture to life. His ability to make everything relatable and engaging was remarkable. He didn’t just show us the sights; he helped us connect with the people, stories, and spirit of the city. The tour itself was brilliantly structured. Battambang’s unique architecture and rich history captivated us, while the bamboo train ride was a fun, memorable experience that also supported rural families selling souvenirs. Lunch, prepared by a local family, was simple yet delicious. The Banaan Temple was absolutely stunning (though the stairs are not for the faint-hearted!). The day culminated with a visit to the boyddhist temple, the Killing Cave and Bat Cave, which left a profound impact on us. Witnessing the Khmer people’s resilience and ability to turn tragedy into meaning was incredibly moving. Watching thousands of bats emerge from the cave at sunset was one of the most magnificent sights we’ve ever seen—truly unforgettable. If you only have time for one tour outside Siem Reap, this is the one to choose. Battambang’s beauty, culture, and people will leave a lasting impression. On our next trip to Cambodia, we plan to stay a few days in Battambang and will absolutely request Kim as our guide again. This experience was perfect in every way. Highly, highly recommended!

We had a wonderful tour in Battambang. We learned a lot about the history of the country and had some great experiences. Our guide Kim was great, very friendly and knowledgeable, his English was really good and his insider knowledge of where to get local food was awesome! We were very humbled by the killing caves and very inspired by the temples.
You begin by being picked up from your hotel in an air conditioned car with a driver. The driver then took us from Siem Riep to Battanbang, where we met our tour guide Mr Kim. Mr Kim's English was perfect. He was funny, charming and knowledgeable. He took us to all places on the interary plus extra. One of our favourite parts of the tour was driving through the country side and Mr Kim explaining what the farmers were doing. We pulled over in the tuktuk to buy fruit from the local people and they prepared it for us ready to eat. Mr Kim took lots of photographs for us throughout the day, which will be our favourite photos from our holiday. He offered us photographs without us having to ask, in the most beautiful locations. At the end of the day, we saw the most beautiful sunset above the Bat Cave. We would reccomend this tour to everybody and specifically Mr Kim, it was so enjoyable to spend the day with him and he taught us so much about Cambodian history. We will never forget our day on this trip. Love, Aimee & Joe from England x
Responsible, reliable, trustworthy and caring tour guide cum driver. We had a day trip to Battambang from Siem Reap with Mr Lucky as our tour guide cum driver. Mr Lucky was so helpful and friendly. He helped us up and down the steep steps. He helped us took a lot scenic photos. When I told him my worry about next morning transportation to Vet Air bus terminal, as I had tried many times using my hp to call Vet Air bus company but with no response, so he used his personal hand phone to call the company and made arrangement for the company bus to pick us up at our hotel lobby. I strongly recognise and recommend Mr Lucky as 👍👍👍tour guide cum driver. His hp #855 70 577 549 In future if we have a chance to visit Siem Reap again I will definitely call him to bring us around. Thanks Mr Lucky for letting us have an enjoyable and unforgettable trip.
A brilliant day out. A well timed pick up from our hotel in Siem Reap, and a safe drive whilst we slept. A fabulous tour where David modified what we did to what we wanted - he was absolutely brilliant. Finally another safe drive back to Siem Reap. A long day out but had an absolutely amazing time. Would fully recommend
My friend and I had the best day exploring Battambang. We were picked up from our hotel in CMR and driven in a lovely jeep to the city. When we arrived, we were picked up by our guide David. David was brilliant. He has great English and he’s super enthusiastic. He showed us lovely parts of the city but focused the time on the countryside. We got to meet locals, see the harvest happen, write a bamboo train, taste local food straight from the people making it. he answered all questions and gave us really good accounts of the stories and the history of the area. Would definitely recommend him and his tour to anyone.
A private driver picks you up at your hotel and subject to where you're staying, it is approximately an 2½ - 3 hour journey from Siem Reap. Upon arrival, you are greeted by a local tour guide where your tour of transportation is using a Tuk Tuk vehicle. Due to unforeseen circumstances of my own, I was unable to complete the whole tour as planned but thoroughly enjoyed the activities I was able to participate in. The guide did an impromptu stop at the local food market which was fascinating; dog meat and bird sh!T chilli for sale! Riding on the bamboo train was fun but it broke down twice; lol but I was able to complete the journey. Just be prepared for a local shopping point during the train break by a local family! The tour guide was VERY knowledgeable and courteous.
Great day, Ghia drove us from Riem Seap to Battambang then we transferred to a TukTuk with Kim as our driver/guide. Kim had a great knowledge of the history of the area and was very happy to make our visit a day to remember. A lot of fun on the bamboo train and a sobering time at the killing cave & frog cave. Well worth the trip, would recommend to anyone.
David was a great guide, he made the tour very personal! He shared lots of anecdotes that you would miss in a self guided trip.
Amazing experience around Battambang with bamboo train, bats, caves and beautiful nature. Guide Kim made trip funnier and also he shared useful informations during the trip. I highly recommend this trip.
A very memorable and unique experience made extra nice by our guide Mr.Kim on his tuktuk. After a quick drive around the mail town, the first and possibly the most unique experience was Bamboo train which I think may be only available in Battambang, Cambodia. Imagine sitting on a train but open on all four sides and open top, close to the tracks and still I don't think we can adequately describe how it felt. Really amazing. Then we saw a suspension bridge. Pretty similar to any other shaky suspension bridge but this one had booked plying on it :). This was followed by fruit bats viewing which Mr.Kim made more interesting by somehow making them all fly around. We then drove through rice fields and fruit trees where the aforementioned bats cone to feed on the evening. We then visited the mountain where there is a mountain top temple and the infamous killing caves where the Khmer rouge killed a lot of people. The final highlight was the viewing of millions of insect eating bats flying out in amazing formations close to sunset for their daily feeding. All in all a long yet eventful and unforgettable day despite the 2-3 hours long drives back and forth from Siem Reap to Battambang. A highly recommended experience.
This day trip is a must if you only have one day to visit Battambang from Siem Reap. You will visit funny places and it will help you to know local people and to understand the recent history of the country. Mr. Kim will make you remember this day for a very long time.
We had a blast riding the bamboo train, visiting temples and seeing a million bats fly across the sky but the best part of all was hearing Kim's stories and experiences of growing up in Cambodia. Kim, was an amazing guide and after the trip one we would love to call our friend.
A very enjoyable and organised tour. Transfer from Siem Reap to Battambang via car, then to tuktuk for the city and countryside tour was seamless with good communication between the drivers. My tour guide Nani was helpful and polite, and was good at explaining the history and importance of each place we visited. He had great knowledge of the area, offering different options and ways to see things - after the bats began to fly out of the cave at sunset, he took me to the fields where they were flying to and it was such a surreal experience! If I were to do this day tour again, I would definitely choose to go with Nani.
This tour is just so great. We didn’t have time to stay in Battambang so thought of doing this trip from Siem reap. When the driver arrived we could choose the music for the journey there, which was a lovely touch. Once we arrived at Battambang we had the lovely and very knowledgeable Kim. We throughly enjoyed Kim’s history knowledge throughout the day. We could take our time at each stop and we never felt rushed. This was one of the highlights and I’m so glad we didn’t skip this part of Cambodia. You will not be disappointed it’s such a great trip. Thank you Kim.
We stayed at a hotel in Siem Reap and this tour started with a three hour taxi to Battambang where we were then met by a tuk tuk ( Remorque ) driven by Mr Kim for about six hours. The only negative on the whole trip was the transfer to Battambang where the taxi driver repeatedly received and sent text/SMS messages whilst driving until told by me to stop. Completely unacceptable on Cambodia's dangerous roads. Mr Kim was a super guide on his motorbike driven tuk tuk. He was also a super photographer for our travels. He had sound knowledge of the itinerary and willingly shared his families experiences of Cambodia's recent past. The bamboo Train was a highlight, 4km each way with a short stop at a local stall. It was always unhurried and Mr Kim's English was superb. Other highlights were to a swinging bridge, tree of fruit bats and a hilltop shrine/temple. The Killing Cave was harrowing but an essential visit. Lunch superb. 5* review thanks to the itinerary and Mr Kim.
Of my time in Cambodia, this tour was my favorite experience. Mr. Kim, my guide, was a funny, kind, and knowledgeable local that taught me so much and showed me part of the countryside I am sure you would not see otherwise. The stops were low stress and scenic and filled with ample time to relax and take it the tour. The food was delicious, the people were kind, and Cambodia is a must see. When you go I recommend taking Mr. Kim's tour and listening to all he has to say, he was one of the best parts of the experience. Thank you again.
Easily one of the best tours I have ever done. We were picked up on time, the car was clean and the driving was great. It was a 2 hour journey from our hotel to Battambang. Once there we met David who took us EVERYWHERE in his Tuk Tuk. This was so much more than the bamboo train, killing caves and Bat caves. He took us to the markets, noticed we were smokers so took us to meet this elderly lady who hand rolled ciggerettes and with that put her kids through university. We stopped at fishing lakes, governors house. He took us on a full tour, and he was so friendly and passionate about sharing his knowledge. We gained a real understanding of Cambodias tragic history and finished the day feeling a lot more connected to the country. David was just so lovely, so polite and also funny! A month on, and I cannot stop thinking back to this day. Words do not do justice of how brilliant this tour was. I would highly recommend it!
This was the best trip ever. We were picked up from the hotel and delivered to our driver Kim in Battambang. We are not overly partial to tours but Kim was so good, it has changed our minds completely. He was relaxed ,informative and understood his history and it was very interesting to hear it from his families perspective. We went to the market in the morning, and around the town generally. He explained the origin of the city and the history. We particularly enjoyed the trip through local villages, the farming discussion and local lunch. The bamboo train was a hoot, including leaving the tracks for the main train from Pnomh Penh! We thank Kim very much for his discussion around the killing caves. I was reluctant, being of the age that clearly remembers the news broadcasts etc of the time....and the bats...who can't love the bats? If you only have 1 day (we were meeting friends) then this is an ideal way to get an overview. Thankyou Kim!!
This is a 14 hour journey in a safe and adventurous setting. Together with our 12 year child, we were welcomed by a smiling and caring driver (Mr Ceae) from our hotel to embark our 2.5hour transport to Battambang, then handed to a TukTuk driver Mr Nani, a local who showed the best hospitality ever, taking pride to introduce the beauty of his hometown and country in understandable English. In a secure, self paced, non intrusive manner we have journeyed scenes across the countryside, from a city tour of brief Siam-French-colonial history in 19th century, a 40mins bamboo train round trip, plantation eco talks on dry season rice, oyster mushrooms, chili, local leafy ingredients, a savory lunch in a local household cafe, walking along a suspension bridge, visiting fruit bats resting on high trees, spectacular panoramic view from vintage ship hill mountains, hisotrical walk about killing cave, and ended by immersing ourselves on a manageable hill with an unbeatable sunset, awaiting millions of inset-reliant bats dashing towards their nocturnal schedules against the dusk of the evening. Uneventfully we were brought back to our hotel around 9.30pm. This for those who wanna observe and experience Khmer daily life is highly recommended.
Great tour with a knowledgeable and passionate guide. Bamboo trail, great landscape. Highly recommended
Our favorite part of the tour was chatting with our guide, Kim. He shared so many stories about the more recent history, which my mom really enjoyed, having left Cambodia as a teen in 1970. Then we absolutely loved the monkeys on top of the mountain! The killing cave was heartbreaking, but we felt it was important to visit and learn about.
Fantastic trip. Mr Kim showed us some amazing sights of Battambang, and his deep knowledge about the area and Cambodias poignant history made this an unforgettable trip, ending with watching the bats fly at sunset from a panoramic view. Would highly recommend the trip and Mr Kim’s company.
Kim’s tour was amazing - full stop. It’s clear that he loves what he does, and that comes through clearly in his interactions with you and local people you meet along the way. He brought us into so many conversations at the market and in the countryside as a translator. All of the named stops on the tour are fantastic experiences, but we enjoyed rambling through the backroads with Kim just as much. Definitely don’t miss booking this tour!!
We had a fantastic trip with out driver Ru who took us from Siem Reap to Battambang and our guide Kim who then picked us up in his Cambodian tuktuk. Both were excellent and safe drivers. Kim really managed to bring history to life during the tour and recounted tales of real life experiences which was eye opening. All stops on the itinerary were as described and we saw even more things along the way and learned so much. We did not manage to stop at the killing caves and one of the temples unfortunately because we were just enjoying the company and chatting too long. But Kim was fantastic at making sure our trip contained all of the things that were important to us. Don't hesitate to discuss the itinerary in case of delays etc. And have an open mind when it comes to last minute changes. A few tips especially for us ladies, take tissues and hand gel with you for your bathroom breaks, take comfortable shoes and DON'T FORGET MOSQUITO REPELLENT! A scarf or similar is also useful for the trip back to the driver after sunset as open air tuktuk/speed/bugs are a recipe for squashed bugs on the face! It was a very long (and hot) day but we were so well looked after we didn't want it to end. It was fantastic to see authentic Cambodia. Thanks again to Kim and Ru for looking after us and making our trip so memorable!
