Pal Saruon and Sambath were exceptional. Their knowledge of the area and history of the temples was quite astonishing. We love that we get to take this experience home with us. Thank you so much!!!

Itinerary
Day 1
1
We begin with a pre-dawn departure (4.10 to 4.30 am depending on the time of year) from your hotel for sunrise outside Angkor Wat. Enter the great temple in darkness from the little-visited eastern side, and creep along hoary cloistered corridors past the longest stretch of bas-relief carvings in the world. Soak up the atmosphere of dawn at Angkor Wat, from the edge of one of the ancient library pools. We then explore the interior of the great temple, spending a thorough two hours discovering the corridors, central chambers and upper terraces of this truly great temple. Your expert local guide will decipher the myriad of stories behind the bas-relief carvings, and give you an insight into life during the height of the Khmer empire. We end our tour at Angkor with breakfast outside the temple (take away, from your hotel), and a short rest.
This majestic site once served as the Khmer Empire's glistening capital city. Take a moment to consider its grandiosity before venturing inside the city.
Angkor Thom is the majestic site once served as the Khmer Empire's glistening capital city. Take a moment to consider its grandiosity before venturing inside the city. Arriving at the temple at Bayon, appreciate its beautifully crafted central towers covered in more than 200 enormous faces.
Pass by the famous Terrace of the Leper King, and the Terrace of Elephant.
One of the most atmospheric of all temples in Angkor. Once home to 2,740 monks, Ta Prohm today looks much as it did in the early 1850s, when French explorer Henri Mouhot ‘rediscovered’ this crumbling site. After exploring the maze-like interior of Ta Prohm, return to your hotel after a long but fulfilling day, which will leave you with a lifetime of memories of one of the wonders of the world.

Day 2
2
Start your day with pickup from your hotel and our journey out to the village takes us through small communities and we stop along the way for a tour of Rolous Market. This is a great chance to take photos of the interesting local foods and vegetables found in the more rural markets.
The Tonle Sap one of the world’s most productive bodies of fresh water. In the wet season, the Tonle Sap Lake swells to 12,000 km². During the dry half of the year, the lake shrinks to as small as 2,500 km², draining into the Tonle Sap River. Each year, millions of fish come to spawn in the seasonally flooded forest surrounding the lake, attracting a myriad of water birds as well as people, who have settled in villages along the shores and who live with the rhythm of the water. This ecosystem was classified as a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1997. Take a boat trip to ‘Kampong Phluk’ a collection of three small fishing villages in an atmospheric flooded forest setting. Cruise through the village and see unique houses on stilts, and Cambodians at work in the floating forest. Our boat will meander slowly through forest canals, allowing you to catch glimpses of flora and fauna, and see a truly beautiful eco-system.

Sok was an excellent guide! We loved the tour
We had an incredible tour experience with our guide, Pal Saruon, and our driver, Vrak. Pal Saruon was extremely knowledgeable and shared fascinating, in-depth information throughout the tour. He struck a great balance between exploring a wide range of temples and thoughtfully selecting the highlights when needed, which made the experience both enriching and manageable. Despite the hot and humid conditions, his energy never dropped—he remained engaging, enthusiastic, and full of interesting facts the entire time. He was also a very good photographer and he already knows the best places to take a picture! Vrak, our driver, was equally fantastic. He was always ready with ice-cold water and refreshing cold towels, which made a huge difference in the heat. His attentiveness and care added an extra level of comfort to the day. If you’re pressed for time and just want to see the must-see temples, do this tour! Overall, a perfectly coordinated team that made the tour memorable, informative, and enjoyable from start to finish. Highly recommended!
I spent an amazing 1.5-2 days in Siem Reap, experiencing the most impressive sights this area of Cambodia has to offer. My tourguide Bun was simply amazing, very knowledgeable about the countries’ and sights’ history and always having a joke to tell! I enjoyed my solo trip very much and hope I can come back soon! The highlights of my trip were visiting the Apopo charity, of course seeing the temples such as Angkor Wat but also spending some time on the terrace of a lotus farm, enjoying some lotus tea and ice cream. One other highlight was the newly established farm house in the rice fields to watch the sunset - such a quiet and serene place. Our driver Song made traveling from one sight to another a very enjoyable experience, driving safely and reminding me to hydrate/drink enough water in the cambodian heat. All in all, definitely recommend booking a trip with Journey Cambodia while you are in the country - and if you want to enjoy the trip even more ask for Bun and Song to accompany you!
Paul Saroun and driver Mr.keao, very good guy and friendly to all our us and explaining is more details about Temple and each god in the stone.
The tour is very best with our guide and driver Mr. Saruon, he explained everything very well❤️
Our family booked the 1.5 day tour with Journey Cambodia to do the sunrise Angkor Wat tour and Tonle Sap fishing village tour. Our guide Sak ensured we had a great view of the sunrise at Angkor Wat and was very knowledgable and we learnt a lot about the temples we visited and about Cambodia in general. He was also a great photographer and helped us capture our visit with great family photos. Mr Black our driver always made sure we had cold water and refreshing towels after walking through each temple. Communication prior the tour was great as well outlining important information for the days and punctual pick up times.
Had a very memorable 1.5 days with Sok. His personality is magnetic and he's like a local celebrity so when you're around him, you feel like you're getting to know the locals. A true professional, polite, courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. We also met the manager and his family and we were charmed and felt very well looked after. Everything you want in a tour.
moeuun Thearith: guide Theth: driver It was a great trip. Tonle Sap lake was so beautiful and I enjoyed whole tour. I want to visit next time with my friends or family.
A totally worth it experience, amazed with the beauty and history of Cambodia. Our guide Saruon Pal was friendly, professional and always responsive to our questions. Also great photographer!
Had a great half day tour of Tonle sap and full day tour of Angkor wat Sunrise and other temples. Tour guide Mr. Pal Saroun was very knowledgeable and kind & helpful during our tour. Enjouyable tour...God bless all.
I had an amazing experience with Pal as our guide and Monat as our driver. Pal was incredibly informative, resourceful, and patient throughout the tour. His knowledge and insights added so much value to the trip. Not only that, he impressed us with his great photography skills, which was definitely a bonus! Monat ensured a smooth and comfortable journey as well as great hospitality. Thank you for the wonderful experience! ♡
Had a wonder 1.5 days private tour with Pal and Monat! Pal was very professional and patiently explained the history of Angkor Wat, Bayon, Ta Prohm and Tonle Sap. Highly recommended
This was a great tour! Our guide, Mr. Pal was friendly and knowledgeable. We learned a lot about Ankor Wat, Tonle Sap Lake, and the surrounding area. I would definitely recommend signing up.
Mr Paul and Mr V were great! We took the Angkor Wat and tonle sap tour and they got us everywhere before the crowds. They were very knowledgeable, attentive with supplying water, and took great photos of us.
Early morning is the best time to see Angkor Wat. Awesome privilege to be there at sunrise. Mr Sokpee is incredibly knowledgeable and we learnt so much, not just about the Temples but also Cambodian culture. I think 3 temples in a day and then finished just after lunch was the perfect 1 st day. Then morning rest before going off again to visit the Lake, seeing how people live on the water before seeing the sunset. A perfect end to a perfect trip. Also, the cold towels and cold water from our driver was certainly appreciated, back on the bus between temples. I would recommend this tour 100%.
Brilliant day with Mr Sokpee, who is so knowledgeable. Early start but worth it as you get to finish just after midday. The best way to see Angkor Wat, I think. It was lovely to get back onto the bus each time to be greeted with cold refreshing towels and water by our driver. First day was worth every penny, now looking forward to the sunset on the lake tomorrow.
Really great trip. The tour guide Mr Sockpee was excellent and told us all about the history. Really helpful and friendly. The bus driver was also excellent and kept us supplied with water and cold towels. Thoroughly recommend!
Although the morning sunrise was cloudy, this didn’t impact at all on a most enjoyable sightseeing trip. Our guide Mr Sokpee was very helpful and informative and always open to respond to our groups questions. Our guide driver was equally helpful and attentive on a very hot day. Looking forward to part 2 of our trip tomorrow.
We have excellent traveling in Cambodia with Chhay. He explained histories and the structure about Angkor Wat. The sunrise and the temples were moved to me so I want to visit here again with our family and meet Chhay again as a tour guide.
Chhay was an amazing tour guide. He was knowledgeable and accommodating to all of our needs. We wanted to know more about local foods so on our return to the hotel he stopped at a street vendor and got us traditional bamboo sticky rice cakes.
We had done two tours with Journey Cambodia, 1. One day sunrise visit to Angkor Wat and other temples 2. Tonle Sap Fishing Village & Flooded Forest On both occasions, Mr. Bun was our tour guide and Sal our driver. The sunrise with the backdrop of the ancient Angkor Wat was a magical experience and subsequent tours of the Temples were fascinating. The village trip was a wonderful experience too and we enjoyed the boat ride to the second largest lake. Our guide Mr. Bun is extremely passionate and loves his job and went above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable and enjoy both the tours. Highly recommended.
Our tour guide, Saruon Pal is nice, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. All is excellent. Thank you!
Chhay best guide ever! It is worth waking up so early. We came on August and the low crowds make it much more special.
I found it perfect that the bus has free wather and our guid was very motivated and everybody at the temple was very friendly and respectful
went for this tour with journey cambodia. i would say it is a good experience and would recommend to anyone going to angkor wat. firstly once i booked the tour, i get an email confirmation from the journey cambodia themselves and they replied almost instantly on my queries, such as meeting time and the total tour schedule. this really helps in my tour planning. (very good communication by them) when we were there, the tour guide was early since we are the 1st passengers that they have to pick up.
We did a tour with Sokphy Sumsot. He is an extremely nice man with great knowledge and has a good command of the english language. He was patient kind and always smiling. He knows alot about the real Cambodia and does not sugarcoat things. I can highly recommend this man. I wish you a long proseperous life my friend.
We had a fantastic day on our trip to see Angkor watt. Chhay was terrific guide. So informative and we got a great insight life into Cambodia itself. It’s an amazing place and I loved the people and the city of Siem reap too.
Good trip to Siem Reap. Nice place to visit. Well english guide by Mr.Saruon. A good arrange by Journey Cambodia.
I absolutely loved my tour with Journey Cambodia!! Chhay was an amazing tour guide who is so knowledge about Cambodia, Angkor Wat, and all of the temples! I learned so much about the history here and was able to make the most of my day with him! The temples you go to are amazing, and it’s the perfect balance of structured tour and free time to roam/explore. Would recommend to anyone!
Booked the following tours through Journey Cambodia: Full day of Angkor temples, Banteay Srei & Big Tour, Angkor dynasty show and airport transfers. Sales consultants were very responsive to my questions and the reservation process was a breeze. The company delivered all that was promised. Tours were very well organized, guides were friendly and knowledgeable, pickups were on time - all priced reasonably. Highly recommend their services!
It was simply a great tour over 2 days going through the main sites of Angkor. The guide provided a great amount of explanation and was very kind. The driver was also very helpful.
In 2 days we have visited the 4 main temples of Angkor , the pick up of the first day is early ( around 4.30 ) but it is worthy to isover Angkor Wat at the sunrise . The driver and the guide were full of attention and the group of 8 people the first day and 3 the second day very interesting . Phi has a very good acquaintance of his country and its history and likes to make interesting jokes as he is very gifted in photo
My wife and I took this tour in July. The tour was very well planned, the food stops were well chosen, and the transportation was very neat. Our tour guide (named Bun (?)) was absolutely amazing. We could easily tell that he was much more well informed compared to other tour guides. Bun knew a lot of about the ancient history of Cambodia, the significance of ruins, and the mythology. He also made adjustments to our trip so that we would have a much better time. We highly recommend this tour.
Thank you so much Mr. Bun! Your guided tour was wonderful and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Your knowledge was impeccable and storytelling was fabulous and I so appreciate you sharing your personal story. The tour itself was rich with the history of your beautiful country. Thank you for keeping us hydrated with cold water and continued reminders for sunscreen and bug spray! And for rounding up the stragglers and the lost ones in our group! You were a joy! I would highly recommend Journey Cambodia, and Mr. Bun specifically for a multiday tour of Angkor Wat and surrounding Temples.
We spent the day in Siem Reap with Phi today. Picked up at 4am to see the sunset at Angkor Wat and then visited many other temples. It was an amazing day and Phi was outstanding. The way he explained (in perfect English), all of the history and shared his insights really added to the already perfect day. We were blown away by this tour. Thank you Phi and also to our lovely driver for an awesome day. Highly recommend.
Journey Cambodia is a perfect travel agency. Everythings was on time according to the schedule. Our guide Mr. Bun was wonderful with clear english and was very knowledgeable about the history of the city. I would highly recommend Journey Cambodia and this is no exception Siem Reap as it is truly a beautiful site.
Setha, our guide, was very knowledgeable and thorough in explaining the history behind each of the temples. His English is very clear and easy to understand. Setha knew where to get good photo shots and helped us take many photos during the trip.
I enjoyed each visit in Cambodia. especially with my tour guide Mr. Pireak Chhut. he is absolutely amazing guy to help everything we needed. Thank you very much!
Journeys trip to the various temples across Siem Reap was informational and entertaining. The guides were knowledgeable and entertaining. It’s a must see for people to love ancient history.
It was a very comfortable, informative and entertaining tour experience. Even if I was travelling solo, I did feel part of the group. Both Mr. Pat and Mr. Thet who were the guides on Day 1 and Day 2 shared knowledge about the history of the temples, the background on the carvings and best of all the great spots to take photos. I would recommend Journeys to friends who would be visiting Siem Reap.
I went for the private Angkor tours with 10 friends on new year's eve and new year with Journey Cambodia. Our tour guide is Mr. Kim who is very friendly and knowledgeable. During the temple visits, Kim explained the historical info very well. He will always try his best to answer any questions which we had. The tour guide is also flexible enough that you can stop at any location that you want on your way to the destination. Besides that, Kim is also fine with our 2nd day reschedule on a last minute notice. Kim always take initiative to capture group photos fro us. He also helped us to book a ride back to airport with an affordable price. We did not experience any problem on our 2 days trip to Angkor Wat (sunrise), Angkor Thom,Ta Prohm, Banteay Shrei and Kbal Spean. Thank you Journey Cambodia & Mr. Kim for the wonderful journey. Highly recommended.
Journeys Cambodia made the Angkor Wat complex tour very easy. I was on the 2-day tour where we visit many of the temples in the Angkor Wat complex close to Siem Reap as well as the further ones. The service was very good, the guides were very knowledgeable, transportation was clean with AC, they offered water bottles and the most important, it's a small group so you can actually learn more if you are interested. Highly recommended!
Pireak was extremely knowledgeable and helpful throughout the entire experience. He worked to make sure we saw what we wanted to see, and didn't waste time with things that we had already seen before. His English was great and I'd recommend his tour to anyone heading to Siem Reap. If you are headed there during the rainy season, make sure to take out a small boat in the Floating Village. This was an optional part of the tour, but it was my favorite part!
2 days that allowed us to discover the temples and learn a lot about them. We had an excellent guide who passed on his knowledge with passion. We highly recommend it.
When you come to Siem Reap you come to Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom, but without a guide it is all useless. Seng Dalign - is truly a professional guide, with an immense culture both of Angkor Wat and all its temples but also of Khmer history and Cambodia in general. You can talk to him about everything and he will give you a lot of information. From recent history to ancient history, it will make you walk the hidden paths through the jungle, leading to the most beautiful and fascinating temples. Always in total safety. To describe each temple without being logorrheic, but if you want to deepen will know how to go into detail. When he speaks you can feel the love that this man has for these places and for culture in general. It's the guidance everyone would want. Discreet, honest, he speaks perfect English, so that I can understand everything. In particular to me that English is certainly not my strong suit. I was very happy to meet Seng Daling, trust him and you will see Cambodia and Angkor in the right way, thus getting a deep experience. I am sure that by relying on him you will be satisfied. A hug Seng and I wish you luck. In the photo his contact . Translated with google When one comes to Siem Reap one comes to Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom, but without a guide it is useless.
