Our tour guide Leap and driver Art were absolutely wonderful! Leap was very personable and knowledgeable about the temples and Art was always ready with waters and cold towels after each temple. Dreamteam!!!

You have to wake up extremely early and get to Angkor Wat when it give yourself the best chance of getting a spot at the reflection pools. It is crowded at sunrise especially at the two reflection pools in the front of the temple. It is very a wonderful experience.
The south gate of Angkor Thom is most popular with visitors, as it has been fully restored and many of the heads remain in place. The gate is on the main road into Angkor Thom from Angkor Wat.
The Bayon temple was built nearly 100 years after Angkor Wat. The basic structure and earliest part of the temple ate not known. Since it was located at the Centre of a royal city it seems possible that the Bayon would have originally been a temple-mountain conforming to the symbolism of a microcosm of Mount Meru. The middle part of the temple was extended during the second phase of building. The Bayon of today belong to the third and last phase of the art style. The Smiling Face at Bayon, the architectural scale and composition of the Bayon exude grandness in every aspects. Its elements juxtapose each other to create balance and harmony and there are more then 200 large faces carved on the 54 tower give this temple its majestic character. The faces with slightly curving lips, eyes placed in shadow by the lowered lids utter not a word and yet force you to guess much, wrote P Jennerat de Beerski in the 1920s. It is generally accepted that four faces on each of the tower are images of the bodhisattva Avalokitesvara and that they signify the omnipresence of the king. The characteristics of this faces a broad forehead, downcast eyes, wild nostrils, thick lips that curl upwards slightly at the ends combine to reflect the famous Smile of Angkor.
Angkor Thom is undeniably an expression of the highest genius. It is, in three dimensions and on a scale worthy of an entire nation, the materialization of Buddhist cosmology, representing ideas that only great painters would dare to portray
Baphoun is the temple stands on a rectangular sandstone base with five levels that are approximately the same size, rather than the more common form of successively smaller levels. The first, second and third levels are surrounded by sandstone galleries. Baphuon is the first structure in which stone galleries with a central tower appear. Two libraries in the shape of a cross with four porches stand in the courtyard. They were originally connected by an elevated walkway supported by columns.
Phimeanakas temple is situated near the center of the area enclosed by the walls of the Royal Palace. It must originally have been crowned with a golden pinnacle, as Zhou Daguan described it as the Tower of Gold The temple is built of roughly hewn sandstone blocks and has little decoration.
The elephants are ridden by servants and princes, and tread as quietly as if they were on an excursive promenade. The steps of even length have no respect for any obstacle. The forest in which they travel in impenetrable to all but tiny creatures, able to squeeze their smallness between the fissures of the undergrowth and to the biggest animals, which crush chasms for their passage in the virgin vegetation.
The terrace of the Leper King carries on the theme of grandeur that characterises the building during Jayavarman VII's reign. It is faced with dramatic bas-reliefs, both on the interior and exterior. During clearing, the EFEO found a second wall with bas-relief similar in composition to those of the outer wall and some archaeologists believe that this second wall is evidence of a late rites, two meters wide of laterite faced with sandstone. It collapsed and a second wall of the materials, two meters wide, was built right in front of it without any of the rubble being cleared. Recently, the EFEO has created a false corridor which allows visitor to inspect the relief on the first wall
Ta Nei is a late 12th century stone temple in Angkor, Cambodia. Built during the reign of King Jayavarman VII, it is near the northwest corner of the East Baray, a large holy reservoir. It was dedicated to the Buddha.
Ta Prohm is the undisputed capital of the kingdom of the Trees. It has been left untouched by archaeologists except for the clearing of a path for visitors and structural strengthening to stave of further deterioration. Because of its natural state, it is possible to experience at this temple the wonder of the early explorers when they came upon these monuments in the middle of the nineteenth century. Shrouded in dense jungle the temple of Ta Prohm is ethereal in aspect and conjures up a romantic aura. Fig, banyan and kapok trees spread their gigantic roots over stones, probing walls and terraces apart, as their branches and leaves intertwine to form a roof over the structures. Trunks of trees twist amongst stone pillars. The strange, haunted charm of the place entwines itself about you as you go, as inescapably as the roots have wound themselves about the walls and towers.
Banteay Kdei is very known by the discovery, in 2001, of a cache in which broken statues of Buddha and other Buddhist artifacts (274 pieces) The temple is built on the ground level use as a Buddhist monastery. The elements of the original design of Banteay Kdei seem to have been a Central Sanctuary

Guidea pre. Trip communication was almost non existent. .guide. apent much of the day on his mobile phone and ironically never gave us his number to meet up. He didnt ask what we would like yo do this say and it wnded after 6 hours and tour is described as 8-9 hours full day tour. Guide also made us go to a breakfast restaurant which we didnt want to go to but that was so be and the driver could eat and we had to wait for them to finish . He also gave us too many sad. Economic stories and tried to oush us to go to his favored merchant
Leap, our guide, and Tina our driver were so amazing driving us from location to location. We had cold towels and water waiting for us between stops. On a hot day, this is the best way to see all the temples! Thank you for being so knowledgeable Leap.
I was picked up at my hotel, met my fantastic guide, and we picked up our ticket before going to Angkor. He allowed me to set the pace. Our driver kept me supplied with nice cold water and chilled towels. Very much appreciated. My guide's knowledge was amazing! We had a great time today. Yes, I absolutely recommend this tour!
This was an amazing day! Sara was a terrific guide. He allowed me to explore at my own pace and filled me in on all the useful history. Excellent English! I would highly recommend him for a tour. Ry was a terrific driver, as well. The cold towels and cold water was very much appreciated
Mr Sara was a wonderful guide. He was kind and considerate. He tailored the tour to what I wanted and was very knowledgeable about everything throughout. He took the time to answer all my questions and provided a great experience. I highly recommend. If you’re into taking photos he knows all the best places that may be different from the usual spots. He’s honest and personable, and clearly well-liked as it seemed like he knew everyone around. Mr At as my driver was also the best. He was kind, on time, provided cold water and towels to help with the heat.
Sara and Mr. Art, the driver, were very considerate and flexible. They were early to pick us up, took very good care of us, made sure we were well-hydrated and cooled when we got back to the car. Sara gave us a quick overview of our tour, helped us buy our tickets, positioned us well for the sunrise and gave us an informative historical briefing. We really enjoyed the tour and were very happy to have a private tour with Sara. He is very conscientious and we appreciated that.
Outstanding morning tour to see sunrise at Angkor Wat and highlights of some of the temples we wanted to see. Mr. Leap, our guide, was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Mr. Pheap, our driver always had the air conditioner ready and greeted us with fresh bottled water and cool towels. Great tour!
Mr Leap and the driver Mr Ry were both wonderful. We did not expect such a knowledgeable guide who could also take nice photos so were very happy.
We had an amazing experience with Sara and Mr. Art at Angkor Wat and the surrounding temples. They were incredibly knowledgeable and gave us such detailed and interesting explanations about the history, architecture, symbolism, and stories behind everything we saw. You could really tell how deep their knowledge of the temples and Cambodian history is. Beyond that, they were extremely attentive throughout the entire tour, always making sure we were comfortable, doing well, and enjoying the experience. They had such a positive attitude from beginning to end and were genuinely friendly, warm, and fun to spend the day with. They made the whole experience feel personal and engaging rather than just a standard tour. We learned so much, had a great time, and felt very well taken care of throughout the day. We would absolutely recommend them to anyone visiting Angkor Wat!
Mr Leap was our tour guide and Mr Pip was our driver. They were both excellent! Mr Leap was such an amazing tour guide; extremely knowledgeable, engaging and kind! I highly recommend them both without any reservations.
We enjoyed our Angkor Wat and surrounding temples tour with Sara and Art! Sara is very knowledgeable with the history of the temples. Art is always ready to provide water and cold towels. In particular, we enjoyed going to the jungle temple as we were the only guests there during that time. I highly recommend Sara as tour guide and Art as our driver. Both took care of us, ensuring our experience will be worthwhile.
My experience with Mr. Sara was excellent! He knew so much about the temples and really gave me an in-depth tour of everything I was seeing! I absolutely recommend this tour for anyone interested in learning lots about Khmer culture and history!
I think it depends on the guide. Viator uses different guides. Ours was generally good but very repetitive and sometimes pointing out the very obvious.
What an incredible experience. Our guide Leap was punctual for pick up and incredibly knowledgeable. We highly recommend not only this tour but our guide Leap as well.
Sara was a great tour guide and extremely knowledgeable of all the history across all the temples he took me to! Not to mention, the number of temples we visited on our day tour was unbelievable! Definitely get the most bang for your buck!
Great experience. Sara was excellent in taking care of us. He explained everything. He also took some great photos for us. Art, the driver, was great as well. He had cold towels and water ready for us after our temple visits. Highly recommend both of them and the company. Everything was smooth.
Mr Mao the driver and Sara the tour guide were the most informative, experienced guides ive ever met. It was my first time and the history of the hindu gods/life and buddist cultute and change was explained so well. I highly reccommend these wonderful guides if you have young families (Sara is a father of 4 young children) we had an 11 year old with us
Excellent private tour. Our guide Mr, Keo Pysedh did an outstanding job navigating my friend and I around different structures in the Angkor Wat complex and explaining their historic and cultural significance. It’s an early morning but capturing the sunrise at Angkor Wat is a once in a lifetime experience. Mr. Pysedh gave plenty of time for my friends and I to explore certain temples on our own which is also an unforgettable experience. Our transport was safe, clean and comfortable - the AC was a nice break from the heat when traveling between sites. I strongly recommend this experience
Great experience with private tour! Had our own personal driver and tour guide. Taught us a ton about the history of the area and each temple. Pick up right at the hotel. On time and easy.
From the very start Sara and Mr Mao were fantastic. Sara is very informative, welcoming, friendly and helpful. The water and refresher towels were greatly appreciated in the humidity in July. We did the sunrise tour, and as a family of 8, we were given plenty of options and weren’t rushed through. Sara had stories and history for all temples. I highly recommend this company, Sara and Mr Mao! So grateful. Thank you.
Absolutely brilliant and very informative guides. .100%recommend.
Book the tour! Yes, you can self guide with a book or wander around and snap all the money shots in the world, but do yourself (and a local) a favour and book this guided tour. Not only will you learn the history of the temple area, but Cambodia and Siem Reap in general. Our driver and guide Rain were awesome! They were punctual, courteous and kept us cool with AC in the car, icy cold towels and cold water after each location visit (you will be thankful for this, trust me!). Rain was a wealth of knowledge, with fab timing & pacing at each spot. Our tour began with a pickup at 4:30am & ended with hotel drop-off at 12:30pm. The time passed quickly in the end but we were a bit templed out and ready for a rest. Don’t underestimate how hot it will be walking around and how long it takes to get between sites; I strongly suggest to book this tour! In case you’re wondering about breakfast… Rain also took us to a local restaurant (at our request) after the first location visit (approx 8am). I highly recommend this tour, guide Rain and, the tour operator.
Both Outh Sara and Mr Rhie were brilliant, highly recommended! Car was cool and comfortable, with cold water and ice cold towels a bonus! The tours were excellent, highly knowledgeable and recommended photo locations (and being photographer) a big help! Getting to see some of the quieter temples away from main tourist areas was a major plus! Recommend for all, and going in quieter seasons has benefits all round
Good cultural immersion tour! Highly recommend Mr leap and his driver Mr Peap! They make a great team. Thank you for showing us Angkor wat and all the temples around!
Excellent guide and driver, Leap and Ree, on private visit of Angkor temples. On time, friendly, engaging, local knowledge, flexible. Could not have been happier.
Really enjoyed the tour. Our guide Leap gave us so much information and provided many great photo opportunities throughout our time together. Our driver had nice vehicle with super cool air-conditioning, cool water and refresher towels after each of the big temples.
Great tour of multiple temples. Mr Leap spoke excellent English and the driver was always ready for us with cold water and towels.
Our tour guide Leap and our driver Mr Tina took great care of us and were happy to accommodate our needs as non local tourists who aren't used to the heat and humidity.
Excellent experience with the sunrise full day tour. Visited all of the main temples in the Angkor area. Piseth was an amazing tour guide, very friendly and knowledgeable. Art was also very friendly always providing water and picking us up at the end of each stop.
Visiting Siem Reap and not seeing Angkor Wat is like not being there at all. I am glad that we reserved this tour and especially appreciative of our guide Mr. Sara and driver Mr Pheap. We started with a group of 4 for the sunrise tour. Sara was in our lobby waiting for our 4:30 AM scheduled time. He shared the information and details of what our options were and how long we could expect to be out. One of the most important things that he shared was that we could take a break from the tour to return for breakfast. This is important to know because in the morning heat after the sunrise, you're going to appreciate it. Our driver, Mr. Pheap drove us all to purchase the tickets for Angkor Wat and Sara continously informed us of the importance of retaining our respective tickets for entry. The tickets are $37 and it is said to be that the 37 is to match the years it took to build Angkor Wat. Sara is a great, knowledgeable, and passionate guide. He took our group from Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, Ta Prohm, Bayon Temple and others. We started with 4 and 2 from our party decided to stay back after we were taken back for breakfast. I appreciate that they were able to bring us back and give us time to freshen up before returning to the tour. He provided historical context about the land, the Khmer people and the temples. It was interesting to learn about how different rulers would determine if the temple was for Buddhism or Hinduism. Sara answered all of my questions, took a lot of great photos, and because of him I can take vertical panoramic photos now. I enjoyed getting to know him and his path to becoming a Tour Guide. The tour was a highlight and provided me and my group a better appreciation of the history of not only Angkor Wat, but also the people. It just so happens that our tour was during the low season, so it was more intimate, but also it felt good to learn and support the tourism industry when it's not the busiest time. If they appreciate us as customers, we appreciate them more as the stewards of their culture and history. I am grateful for Sara and Mr. Pheap for making this such a wonderful experience for me and my group. I would definitely recommend this tour and can't suggest Sara enough for his guidance.
Our guide Sara was incredibly knowledgeable on the area and shared his first hand experiences growing up around the temples. He got us to the popular areas in time to get fantastic viewing spots and pictures of iconic areas without long lines. This tour also brought us to some of the lesser known (but just as beautiful) sites. Sara was able to answer all of our questions and teach us about the culture, history, and restoration at the sites. We’re very grateful to have had him as a private guide for the day and also for our driver Pheap, who was always right there when we finished exploring each site. The air conditioned van was a must for this long day of exploring. Pheap provided us with cold towels, cold water, and a comfortable riding experience.
Leap was an amazing guide whose knowledge of Angkor Wat was extensive. I am so grateful I was able to learn and take in all this history. The van ride in between temples was a perfect respite from the heat. Tina the driver provided us with cold towels and cold water in between each temple. So worth the time and money spent on this tour!
Sara and drive Art are amazing. Very friendly, best customer service. Made it very smooth and fun! Would def choose them 100%
We did a private tour. Mr Leap was an amazing tour guide. He was very friendly, very helpful, but most of all very organized. He got us to Angkor Wat earlier than most other people so that we could get the very best place for the sunrise (that spot changes month by month and he is well aware of where at any given time). It also meant that despite not being able to see the temple with the naked eye, the camera picked up some incredible images with coloured backgrounds (this would depend on the type of phone). Because we were early we were at all the attractions before the crowds arrived meaning that we got better photos uncluttered with people and never had to wait for anything. The not waiting meant that we got around all of the sites in less time than it would take when it was busy. Mr Leap had an encyclopedic knowledge of all the temples, the religions of the time and the leaders. He pointed out things at Bayon Temple that I may not have noticed, and certainly wouldn't have understood without his description. It really made it come alive. When we went to Ta Prohm he directed us to all the best spots to get photos. The driver Mr Pheap was very attentive at giving us cold cloths and cold water after any long stops. I could not recommend this tour more highly. I hope you choose it and get every bit of enjoyment that we had.
We have spent an amazing time on our grand tour to Angkor Wat. Sara our tour gide did a phnatastic job guiding us around the temples of Angkor Wat area and providing us a wonderful overview about its history . Art our driver was top, their service top.
Our guide, Mr Leap, and driver, Mr Pheap, gave us a superior experience of the Angkor temples. In our luxury van we were able to start early and get ahead of the crowds and the heat. Because it was a private tour we were able to control the length of time at each temple - a great advantage over a group tour. Mr Leap took us to the perfect spot on the wall of the moat for the sunrise. (Of course the location of the perfect spot is always shifting with the time of year). In fact the half hour BEFORE sunrise was really special as Angkor Wat was silhouetted by the changing pastel colours of dawn. We noticed that most of the sunrise tourists missed the dawn-time, plus they only arrived in time for the ball of the sun coming and were not in a good position along the now-busy moat wall. As a bucket-list location it is well worth paying the extra for a tailored experience. Fabulous!
Leap and Pheap was very nice and professional
Our guide Mr Leap was very knowledgeable, explaining the history and the stories behind each temple. He was very kind and paid a special attention to our children. Watching the sunrise over Angkor Wat was incredible. Air conditioned mini van was a welcome relief during the hotter than usual temperatures. Our driver was very helpful, meeting us from each temple and transporting us to the next one.
Angkor Wat at sunrise was just beautiful and spiritual. We opted for the private air conditioned tour. It was well worth it. First, Sara our tour guide and Art our driver were phenomenal. Drop off at entrances services. Sara grew up in Cambodia and is well educated with a lot of historical and personal relation to the country and sites. He was able to relate what happened in current history to historical history at the time of the kings who built the temples and palace compounds. The tour is very hot, going in March during one of the hotter months. The air conditioned breaks between site was great. Sara allowed us to work at our pace and ask so many questions. He took us to sites where few go and some of those were equally fascinating as Angkor Wat. This was a once in a lifetime experience and we will remember and value it forever.
This was an amazing experience. Do not even think about going solo the first time, especially if you want to catch the sunrise from the right spot. Having an experienced guide is vital! There’s no way I could have figured all this out myself on a first go. My guide, Sara (male) was amazing and incredibly patient (I have a YT channel so I was filming more than the normal tourist, and he kept suggesting better angles for me). The driver kept cold water and cold towels on ice for the whole trip. Can’t say enough good things, just go for it!
Excellent tour with Mr Leap & Mr Pheap. We visited as a family with 2 children (10 & 8), the tour was paced really well, incredibly informative, and aimed so we could all understand the history of the temples and Cambodia. It was a hot day, the van was cool and close after each temple. Highly recommended for any visitors.
This trip was AMAZING! Mr. Sara was our guide and we could not have been happier! He was so thorough and kind - answering all of our questions and sharing his knowledge and experiences. Mr. Art was our driver and he was fantastic. He was always ready and waiting on us with cold drinks and cool washcloths. He got us around safely. This experience was a 12 out of 10!!
Incredible experience. 4:30 am may seem excessive, but it is worth it. Our driver and guide were the best. I highly recommend them both. Plenty of cold water and cooling towels. A private tour is the only way to do it.
Definitely a highlight! Everything worked beautifully. Excellent guide who explained everything. Enjoyed the tuk tuk transport ( plenty of water and refreshing towels ). A long day but as wonderful as it was informative.
Absolutely wonderful tour! Angkor Wat was magical!! And so were the other temples chosen by our guides. We visited Taprohm and Bayon, which were different and interesting in their own way. Leap and Sophal were amazing- very knowledgeable and attentive. We really enjoyed how proud and passionate they were about their culture. And every time we got back to the car, we had cold towels and water waiting for us. They also took us to some local restaurants with a really good food. We would highly recommend them!!
What an amazing experience! Oul was an amazing tour guide who was super passionate about Angkor watt and the surrounding temples! Highly recommended experience!
I cannot recommend this day trip enough. We had the most fantastic local guide, Oul. He met us at our hotel bright and early at 4:30am with his trusty driver and comfortable Lexus car. He was very knowledgeable, knew all the best spots to go to for pictures at the right time of day and best angles to capture. We were kept hydrated throughout the tour with chilled bottles of water and a most welcome treat with a chilled face towel after walking around in the heat. The sites were incredible to see. It was like walking around the movie set of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom/Tomb Raider. Photos only show so much. You need to see it in person. Go with Oul!
Our guide Mr. Sara and our driver were wonderful. They picked us up at 4:45 and got us to Angkor Wat to get front row seats of the sunrise. Then they took us around the temples while finding quiet spots away from other tourists to tell us about the history of the temples we were visiting. He even acted as our persona photographer for the day and took great pictures of us throughout. We got fresh water and cool towels at every stop and learned so much. I can’t recommend this tour enough. My only advice would be to bring bug spray or bug wipes for the sunrise because the mosquitos are out.
A great tour. We chose the early morning tut-tut with driver and guide. A special thank you to Mr Leap our guide and Mr Sophal our driver who were excellent throughout. This was a very interesting, very informative and very enjoyable day that started at 4.30am and bach at 2.00pm. I highly recommend.
