My wife and I are so happy we chose this 3-day tour of the Angkor Wat temple complex. Our tour guide, Lee, and driver Tha, provided the right mix of facts, cultural stories and humor. We can’t imagine a better Angkor Wat experience! If you'll be in Siem Reap for at least 3 days,we highly recommend this tour. Lek and Tha will treat you like Cambodian Royalty!
Visiting Angkor Wat has been number 1 on my wish list since I was a child. The experience didn't disappoint. I was lucky that I booked Sam as my tour guide. Sam was knowledgeable, thoughtful and able to answer all my questions regarding the temple, carvings, and history. He also made recommendation based on my shopping requirements (sterling silver jewelry). I would love to comeback and would hire Sam in a heartbeat.
Couldn't find the best tour services in Siem Reap complex and Angkor Wat region than from Siem Reap Tour Guide. We are family of 6 hired the personal tour guide Mr Sam and minivan driver Mr Saroeun for 3 days and we loved our tours so much not only explore Angkor temples also Kulen waterfall and floating village, totally great experience and highly recommended.
Sam is kind, so easy going to be around, honest, respectful, knowledgable and accommodating - everything you need in a tour guide!
Sam was recommended by one of our friends. His service is absolutely wonderful. He understands client needs and moulds the itinerary accordingly. Very flexible with no ego or attitude. I will 110% recommend him. Very knowledgeable with the history of Ankor temples as well as other locations.
My husband and I had an absolutely fantastic experience with our wonderful guide Sam Pho and our lovely driver Mr Tata. Sam is so knowledgable, doesn’t rush you, knows the best spots for photos and also took amazing photos of us! His historical and knowledge of the myths about the sites made places really come alive! Angkor Wat is also not crowded like the rest of the world’s prime tourist destinations, so now is the time to go! Everyone like Sam and Mr Tata took amazing care of us and made sure we had a superb time.
I've known Sam for over a decade—he was my guide during my first visit to Cambodia in 2010 and has been my go-to guide for every trip since. As a photographer, I'm always on the lookout for unique locations, and Sam has a keen understanding of what makes a place extraordinary. He never fails to recommend sites beyond the usual tourist path, helping me capture some incredible shots. Every trip Sam organizes is thoughtfully paced and well-planned. This year, I returned with my family, and Sam tailored the itinerary perfectly for a more relaxed pace, which made it enjoyable for everyone. Whether you're traveling solo or with family, I can’t recommend Sam highly enough. If you're heading to Cambodia, reach out to him for an unforgettable experience. Mayur Channagere
Greatly knowledgeable and practical guide. Highly recommended by a friend and we were not disappointed. We had three amazing days in Siem Reap. We also recommend this service as it is very professional and accommodating to your preferences and needs.
Had a fantastic experience in Siem Reap cambodia thanks to Sam who was very knowledgeable and took us around Siem Reap very well. Would recommend this highly to anyone visiting Siem Reap.
We are family of 4 are very fortunate to find this company, Siem Reap Tour Guide from trip advisor and got Sam for 3 days to explore all major sites starting from the big one Angkor Wat at sunrise to small unique best carving of Banteay Srei and floating village on the great Tonle Sap lake for sunset. Sam is totally faultless and very knowledgeable about all the sites, we are very happy to have him as our guide and we are strongly recommended him to everyone.
Our first visit to Siem Reap / Angkor couldn’t have been more perfect. When we booked our three day tour of Angkor Wat and the floating village, we did not know what to expect. Not only did we see the beautiful temples and experience the adventurous boat ride through the floating village, we learned about Khmer history, people and culture through the eyes of our wonderful guide. Sam was very knowledgeable and communicated very well. He was very patient answering our queries and requests for unusual stops. Sam made our visit extra special and would highly recommend this tour and ask for Sam!
This was a terrific way to experience Angkor Wat, three full days touring many of the major temples and more. We saw the sun rise and fall over Angkor Wat, scaled a mountain, took in the Elephant Temple, and rode a propeller boat downriver to Tonie Sap Lake. On a trip through such an expansive site, a knowledgeable and experienced guide is a must. Sam was up for it. His English is excellent and he has an easy way of talking about the temples’ cultural/historical significance. He knows the site up and down and takes great photos, too; see for yourself. We were glad to have taken the three-day option. We were engaged from start to finish, thanks to Sam.
Just finished wonderful 3 day tour of Siem Reap with our tour guide Lonh Vann. Saw some amazing sites and our tour guide Lonh was excellent. His English was very good, his explanations interesting and insightful with a smattering of humour which made the whole experience entertaining. The added bonus was his photographic skills using an IPhone where he created some amusing shots to go along side the usual tourist pics. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Lonh if you are thinking about a trip to Cambodia. PS Driver was great and the tour company we used to organise this part of our trip, Green Era Travel, were very efficient and helpful ensuring everything ran smoothly from the minute we arrived in Cambodia.
We have just had the privilege of spending 4 days being shown around Siem Reap by the WONDERFUL Phirum Proeun. The holiday was organised through Abercrombie & Kent and they sent Phirium to look after us during our stay and how lucky we were! Phirum was a true gentleman from the beginning of the tour to the end. He took care and attention to ensure my family was happy, hydrated and entertained whilst with him. He was incredibly knowledgeable about EVERYTHING and gave us some very personal experiences of life in Cambodia. I cannot thank him enough for being such an enjoyable, adventurous and above all informative guide. Highly recommend this delightful gentleman. For those planning a trip and guide we visited various places of interest and used various means to get there! Angkor Wat at Sunrise Sunset Gondala ride Bicycle Tour Angkor Thom Floating Villages Quad Bike Safari Walking Village Tour Siem Reap Town Advice on restaurants.
The guides John and Sorphorn from Ultimate Private Guided Tours made the 3 day trips very enjoyable! I enjoyed hearing the myths and legends of the Hindu and Buddhist's gods and their adventures embeded into the history of the various temples we visited. I wouldn't have spotted the meaning of the carvings myself nor understood what I was seeing on my own. My knowledge of Cambodian history was minimal before I came and my reading up in the guide book not at all as pleasurable as someone telling me more about the history live and in person. The trip to the lake and the floating village was relaxing. Being solo, it was also great to have someone take a picture of me at various locations, so I also have wonderful pictures with me not just at Selfie-range. All questions I had were answered and some information from their personal lives improved my understanding of Cambodian life pre-, during and after covid. Thank you John and Sorphorn! I think the 3 day tour was the right choice for me. Although it was more a decision due to the weather and expected rainfall, I felt that having the Small Circuit Tour on day 1, then the Floating Village Tour on day 2 and the Grande Circuit on day 3 was a perfect choice. Getting used to the scorching heat and sweating in Angkor Wat on day 1 made me very tired, and getting a relief from the heat on the water on day 2 was perfect!
The private tour service from Siem Reap Tour Guide and their team is superb. We hired and deal with Sam Pho as private guide for 3 days and the experience came out as a blast and we can't thank him enough for a lifetime memory for our family trip to explore the most out Angkor temples from dawn to dusk, floating village and Kulen waterfall etc... If you are ever plan to visit Angkor Wat and other attractions around Siem Reap province please contact Sam Pho as your best choice professional tour guide.
I engaged Sam as my guide for 3 days, and he was knowledgeable, easy going and gave me an in-depth knowledge of ancient Angkor, and modern day Cambodia. I was able to amend, add on and spend plenty of time shooting many photos of these marvelous looking temples. On those hot days you certainly don't need to rent a bike or tuk tuk, but Sam and the driver made things comfortable by providing cool drinks at every stop, and a most welcome cold towel to wipe away the beads of perspiration. As a travel agent, I will have no hesitation in recommending Sam and the driver to take care of your itinerary whilst you are in Siem Reap exploring the Angkor Wat temples.
We had a wonderful visit to fascinating Cambodia, thanks to our guide Sam. We worked with him to customize the three-day trip before arriving, and he delivered on everything promised and more. He was driver and guide, expertly taking us to many different temples with detailed explanations of the history and culture and significance of everything we saw (in excellent English). He offered to take photos throughout, pointed out where to use the cleanest bathrooms, and organized the entire trip around our personal schedule. Don't miss out on this opportunity to have a deeper understanding of this captivating country with a local guide who will share his love and deep knowledge of this Angkor region.
We received service above and beyond expectations from our tour guide. We saw much more than we expected
Excellant service early am.to afternoon Great photo.tips and help getting great pictures.Recommend the tour
We booked an Angkor Wat sunrise and grand tour with Khiri Travel Siem Reap. We had an air conditioned car ( a must in Siem Reap in January) an English speaking guide and a driver. Our guide was excellent Angkor Wat is much more than just one temple, it’s a magical city in the jungle. Our guide was so knowledgable about the history and people who built the city and lived here
Sam, our guide, was extremely knowledgable and taught us a lot about the history and culture of Angkor Wat and of Cambodia, overall. Our experience was heightened by his humor, friendliness, and great photography skills. He knew all the best places to take pictures and did a great job in timing bathroom and food breaks throughout our tour. Sam and his company were very accommodating to our last minute plan changes and gave us more than enough time to explore the vast complexes of Angkor Wat. We highly recommend Sam and would love to come back and do other tours with him.
Angkor Temples were so individual. Some of the engineering aspects were incredible and complex. We had a great day and our guide was very knowledgeable.
I had the pleasure of having You Han as my tour guide. He was very informative, funny/hospitable and an overall great person. He knew all about the history, suggested the best spots to stand at to get those perfect pictures for the gram (haha) and pretty much showed me the ropes. Private Siem Reap Tour Guide was a great company to hire through tripadvisor. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for guides to explore Angkor Wat and like minded temples. You won't regret it. PS - here is a photo attached of one of the many beautiful shots I took today. He really knew of all the best spots so especially if you're an instagram junkie (lol) & want that money shot, BOOK THROUGH THEM!
If you are being spontaneous and want to visit Angkor Wat- DO NOT TRUST THIS TOUR COMPANY. I booked a very short trip to Cambodia on my backpacking trip and was excited to do this tour and see Angkor Wat. I arrived in Cambodia around 10:30pm (sunrise tour was for 4am the next morning) only to get a last minute cancellation from these jerks. They offered zero help in finding a new tour, no accommodations, and left me scrambling the night before. If you’re looking for tours here is my suggestion- find a local guide at the entrance and hire a tuk tuk or grab driver (locals are really kind and are eager to work). I’m an American and don’t usually do this kind of thing (I like structure) but it is very easy to do in Cambodia. I ended up figuring things out, but it was not thanks to Viator booking. So if your looking for guides keep on googling, not worth taking the risk with Viator.
What a fab tour we had from out guide Kim Houen, from the time we got in our tuk tuk, he gave us a very detailed talk about the history of Cambodia on our way to Angkor Wat, He guided us to the perfect spot to watch and take photo's of the sunrise over Angkor Wat ( which was stunning ), he was always able to find us a peaceful shaded spot while on tour to give us plenty of information about the different temples we visited. He was also great with pointing out the best photograph spots and was always had hand to take our photo's. He's very charming and loved sharing his knowledge which was endless. Thank you so much Kim you are real asset to the tour company and we would surely recommend them to hang on to you. Warm Regards Lisa & David
This tour was incredible. Our tour guide, Kim, was kind and informative. His English is excellent and he really knows his stuff! It was a perfect mix of him leading us through the temples and letting us explore some on our own. He was really good at gauging our energy, as sometimes we were hot and tired and he would let us take a break or get some food/water. He was also an excellent photographer!!! Would definitely recommend this tour, especially with Kim, to anyone. We had a great time!! And he had good tips on how to avoid huge groups of tourists, which was very much appreciated.
It was a special way to visit all the archaeological sites nice that was about moving further away with a somewhat 'contraceptive and walk on foot and then resume your tulips to reach other sites. Council mask for dust!
