We had an incredible 2-day tour in Siem Reap, Cambodia with our amazing guide Mr. Pin Vannak and our wonderful driver Mr. Sitty. Pin took us to several breathtaking temples, fascinating museums, and an unforgettable trip to see Lake Tonle Sap. He’s fluent in English and impressively knowledgeable about Cambodia’s history and cultural landmarks, making every stop engaging and meaningful. Both Pin and our Mr. Sitty went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and well taken care of. Their warmth and friendliness, especially toward Americans, made the trip feel extra welcoming. They also gave us fantastic local food recommendations that made our meals just as memorable as the sights. This experience was top-notch from start to finish — highly recommended! 5 Stars!!!

Excellent tour with Thean (guide) and Thuna (driver). They took wonderful care of us, kept us cool, and tailored the experience to our needs and interests. They were so friendly and funny, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to explore Siem Reap’s temples.
Have had a marvellous 2 days with tour guide Pin Vannak. His fluency in English and his incredible knowledge of the sites we visited and the lives of rural Cambodians was very enlightening as well as our discussions on the history of Cambodia. His insights provided more than anything I have read in a history book. His incredible knowledge of how the temples were built and the detail that is involved in keeping the temples from cracking or twisting given they are only built on sand is intriguing not to mention learning of how much manual labour went into building the temple’s moats etc. Fascinating. Also marvellous was how he manoeuvred us around to see the special sights of the temples that would have been missed if I had visited on my own. He is a true professional and even did the small things that help so much ie having a power bank that could charge any phone, cold water on board, assistance with getting in and out of the van and in and out of boats not to mention advice on local customs so I did not feel clumsy or ignorant. He was an absolute joy as was his professional driver and the very late model air conditioned comfortable people mover he provided. I remain very grateful for having met him.
The tour was fabulous , really excited to see Ankor Wat and the many Temples . We chose not to pay the $ 20 US price for floating village , after researching it a little more we discovered the floating village was dried up and should not be advertised as a great tour … It is not the village is dried up and a waste of time . We told our guide on day one we wanted to remove this portion of the Itinary, he was totally agreed with our choice . As for the Tour of the Temples our guide Thean & our Driver Thuna were fabulous . They arrived at our hotel early both mornings, Thean our guide had a great understanding of everything to do with the Temples . He took many pictures of my wife and my self ( in all the good locations ) 🙂 Very knowledgeable man, really made a great tour with His great personality.. It was great to have cold water and nice cold cloths after every tour , when we got back to the van with the A/C 🙂 Thank you to Thuna our driver . Was an awsome Tour , would recommend this tour for any of my friends who are travelling to Siem Reap!!
We spent a wonderful two days with Pin and Mr Sambo exploring the wonders of Angkor Park and other areas of Siem Reap. Even prior to meeting us, Pin was providing info on pre purchasing passes, ordering breakfast hampers and what to wear. From our early morning pick up to witness the amazing and unforgettable sunrise over Angkor Wat to delivery back to our hotel after two amazing days, visiting many temples and villages, every moment was memorable, it was a pleasure having Pin look after us. He has an amazing knowledge of Angkor history and knows each temple in detail, he is passionate about imparting his understanding and was keen to meet our every needs. Mr Sambo was an excellent driver providing us with a safe journey and the ice cold cloths each time we returned to the vehicle, hot and sweaty were greatly appreciated. I would not hesitate in recommending Pin and Mr Sambo and have already done so to friends who are visiting next year. Thank you Pin and Mr Sambo for a memorable experience.
Wow what an amazing Cambodian experience! The two day temple tour was brilliant. Sunset at Angkor Wat is truly unforgettable. Pin was an outstanding guide with extensive knowledge of the area. The service provided from collection at hotel to the ice cold water and cold face towels provided by Mr Sambo throughout the day was first class. Pin knew the best places for photo opportunities and also provided us with brilliant photographic tips to improve our shots. Our afternoon trip to the floating village was also ideal to see local village life. If you are ever able to visit this magnificent country. Do yourself a favour and utilise the services of Pin and his team. You will not be disappointed. Thanks again for making our holiday in Cambodia so much fun and certainly one to remember Pin and Mr Sambo!
I'd like to add another rave review for Pin, who did an absolutely fantastic job with our group. In addition to providing us with a wealth of information about the Angkor temples, Tonle Sap lake and Cambodia, Pin made sure to take plenty of family photos, was very flexible to the needs of our group (4 kids between the ages of 9-16), made sure we were well stocked with cold towels and water bottles, and made every effort to ensure that we made the most of our tour. Above all else, we felt so well taken care of -- it was very clear that Pin really cares about his work, his guests, and has enormous pride in his homeland. Highly recommend!!
Two of us spent two very full days with Pin and his driver visiting several of the many temples in Angkor Wat. Pin went out of his way to explain the history of Cambodia and gave us a very clear description of the way it is developing and the way its people are living. His knowledge of the temples is comprehensive and he is clearly very enthusiastic about the details of the Buddhist and Hindu history. He suggested a very packed itinerary included climbing a hill to get a wonderful view of the sunset over Tonle Sap lake and then the next day the sunrise at Angkor Wat. He suggested a trip to the Landmine museum and a 'floating fishing village', including a boat trip on the lake which was very well worth it. He and his driver were completely unperturbed by spending a very long day with us from 5:00 in the morning till late at night. We had chosen to do this by Tuk-tuk but we could have chosen an air conditioned car. Pin is flexible and very adept at personalising a schedule, organising transport and looking after his guests. We saw and learnt so much more during our two days with Pin than we possibly could have done without a guide.
We booked a 2 day private tour with Pin as our guide and Li as our driver. Both super nice, spoke great English and we felt very safe and well taken care off. Pin could tell us a lot about Angkor and also about Cambodian history and culture. We learned a lot. Thank you!
We had Pin as our guide for two days. He was very nice and helpful and speaks very good English. We did the two day tour with the small and big circuit in Angkor. You can also customize your tour when you have certain wishes e.g. Banteay Srei. Lee was our driver. He drove very safe both days and also speaks very good English. Totally recommend the tour with them!
Excellent experience with Thean as guide and Mr Thunna as driver. Thean knows everything about Angkor and takes his time to explain the history of each temple, their respective architecture and decoration (including the different characteristics of each temple) in a very rich English vocabulary. Thean knows every spot to take pictures and takes great pictures of us. Both Thean and Mr Thunna are very friendly and helpful, and also tell us about Cambodia's recent past, so that the tour is not limited to the Angkorian past. Our only regret is that the chosen tour mentioned a visit to a floating village, which we had dreamed of seeing, but that we visited a village on stilts (also very interesting though) because, according to Thean, the stilts would have made way for them in recent years. If this is the case, the agency should change the title of its tour and clearly indicate what is being visited or if these villages still exist, that is what should be visited.
We had a great tour with our guide Vannakpin (Pin). He took us to many temples throughout the Angkor area, and helped us prioritise our trip. He is also very knowledgeable about the local temples, customs and history. Between stops we were also given cold water and a cold wet facecloth to cool off, which was just what we needed in the hot Cambodian sun. Pin is also a great photographer and helped us find photo spots and took many great photos of us! Highly recommended!
Pin is local from siem reap who is super knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. He responds really quickly on email and WhatsApp, gives really great recommendations and tips. During our 2 day tour we learnt so much from him and asked him a ton of questions. Great English too! He also helped us take a bunch of really good (and instagrammy) pictures. Absolutely recommend and absolutely a pleasure to have him with as our guide. The tour itself was well planned, visiting a big chunk of Ang kor area on day 1 and sunrise and the rest of angkor area on day 2. We did a floating village tour as well. All of these are customisable too.
My mom and I traveled for 9 days throughout Cambodia and SE Asia in October of 2019. During our time in Siem Reap, we booked this two day tour with Angkor Special Tours which ended up being the best tour we had our entire trip! Our tour was private and included two full days through the Angkor area and Tonle Sap floating village. There was so much to see that the two days went by very quickly. Our guide was Mr. Chen who was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable, accommodating, and took us away from the large crowds of people. He had a real passion in teaching us about the different temples and the Cambodian culture. He also volunteered to take lots of photos of us and now we have beautiful photos that we are both in. Overall, he did an amazing job. Our driver was excellent too. He was always on time and we never felt rushed. We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel and given plenty of time to eat lunch on both days. I highly recommend taking a tour with Angkor Special Tours on your next trip!
We took a two day tour with Pin and our driver Leehowa (sp?). From start to finish, our experience was professional, informative, and fun. Our pickups at the hotel were prompt and the days were filled with history, pertinent background information, and breathtaking sites. Pin not only provided expert commentary, he also knew when and where to take photographs that we, our family, and friends have enjoyed since our return. He is truly the master of the panoramic shot and was able to teach us how to use it to better advantage. My husband has some physical limitations that affect his ability to walk for long periods and can make it difficult for him to walk/climb on uneven surfaces. Our guide and driver were extremely attentive and assisted my husband so that he was able to view as much of the sites as possible. In addition, they were able to pace the days to maximize our tours. On day one, after a morning at temples, we took the boat trip to the floating village. On day two, after sunrise and touring at Angkor Wat, we spent time at a local market learning about and sampling local products. Our two day tour gave us an individualized experience and memories that we will treasure forever.
Pin is our guide in Siem Reap. He is the most excellent person one wants to meet when visiting the area. Very knowledge and informative on all aspects of Siem Reap and Cambodia. He organised everything and understood the needs of everyone in our family. Highly recommended to everyone who wants to come visit this magical place.
We spent two days with Pin and Tuna and had an amazing time learning about Cambodian culture, history and people. We visited Angkor and other fascinating temples in Siem Reap and watched the beautiful sunset. We had requested a flexible tour and were accommodated really well — for example, we wanted to see some local art shops and silk stores and were taken to some of the best spots in the city. The car was also spotless, comfortable and we received continuous cold towel and water bottles! Would not hesitate to book again as we had an amazing time.
We took a two day tour of Siem Reap with Pin as our guide and Tuna as our driver. The tour was truly excellent. Pin was knowledgeable about the sites we visited and Siem Reap in general and very enthusiastic to give a good overview of Cambodia’s history and culture. He spoke very good English and was flexible in terms of activities we wanted to cover. Tuna was a great driver, polite and very pleasant. The car was clean and in a very good condition. Highly recommend this tour!
Pin is the ultimate travel guide. He will show you the most amazing parts of Siem Reap in ways like never before! He knows literally everything, but will never bombard you with to much information. Most importantly, our boy Pin is the king of panormas, and will get you some elite jumping photos too! Don't wait any longer! book him right now!
I just returned from two great days with Thean. He was very knowledgeable about all of the temples and about any general Cambodia questions too. On the second day he bought some local food and beer to share between temple visits. That was the best part of the entire tour!! Making new friends and getting a very authentic Cambodian experience. Thank you Thean!!
Pin Vannak was a wonderful tour guide. His extensive knowledge of Cambodia and fluent English really made the experience so much more valuable. He is so friendly and made us feel very safe. I would highly recommend him.
We spent 2 mornings out on this adventure & loved both of them equally! Great knowledge of all the places & things I saw which I didn’t even know existed in some cases. The guide had excellent English skills & wouldn’t shy away from simply saying he didn’t know a word in English if we asked a question he couldn’t answer correctly instead of giving us false information. Both days were very different but just as fun & eye opening. I would recommended doing this tour highly! The price you pay for the service you get from both guide & driver is worth it all!
Perfect tour, two fantastic days organized at best. We have seen the main attractions accurately. Our guide mr Thean was fantastic, prepared, kind, helpful and generous, he welcomed all our requests, answered all our questions and gave us valuable advice on the itinerary. He also took some great pictures of us! If you can ask for him, really special on a human and professional level. The sunset on the lake is extremely beautiful than the crowded Mount baken.
We saw a lot of beautiful things and our guide Bun Hak was simply fantastic At first we had another guide but he had fallen ill whereupon we got Bun Hak We received a lot of explanation and could contact him with all our questions He also showed ins very beautiful places to photograph We also got explanations about the local population Bun Hak was such a person with a very big heart I jan no different than if he goes to Siam Reap recommend this guide and airline
